For years I stayed away from Korg because my first two broke down. I been using the QuikTune models for years with no problems Sadly they are not on the market anymore. I purchased this model on sale and so far it has not given me any problems. I like the compact size and features it has for the money. Check out the video. I prefer this type of tuner over the clip type. This tuner is more accurate I believe than the ones that cip on and sometimes scuff the finish. Korg, I believe, made the first portable tuner. Untill then, I always had on stage an expensive Conn tuner. So Korg has been making these little jewels for quite some time.Rick
I bought this as a SDOTD. It was a nice price, and I wanted an extra tuner. I prefer the clip-on variety, though. At first my tuner seemed to have trouble picking up the signal. It seems fine now. My main issue with the tuner is that it's not well lit. Therefore, it's difficult to use. In a dark club without a flashlight, it would be impossible to tell if you're in tune. I was looking for a cheap alternative to prevent me from having to carry my usual rack of pedals for my acoustic guitar when I was only going to play bass at a gig. The Behringer fits the bill admirably. I've not experienced some of the difficulties some hard-to-please people have posted on Youtube – crikey some people are petty – and would have no hesitancy in recommending the tuner to anybody else. This tuner pedal works almost same like Boss TU-3 tuner pedal. I bought it based on YouTube reviews, found it really good. The review says it has got very bright power indicator LED which blinds to see the tuner LED's. But the pedal I received didn't have this problem, I think Behringer guys rectified this in the new production batches. This pedal is bit slow in responding (which I can live with) but gives accurate tuning. I took this pedal to quite a few gigs, it has never failed me (I bought it in Jan-15). Now this sits on my Bass guitarist's pedal-board, and he takes it to every gig we go, has never failed him too (he has got a 4-string Ibanez SR-300 bass). Overall nice tuner pedal for the bucks I paid. Pros- Accurate tuning Bright LED for better visibility Cons- Plastic casing (if you want to use it roughly..) Planning on buying my second. I purchased one about a year ago and have used it on several guitars as well as a solid body and acoustic bass. It is as accurate as Snark's higher end models but I like it's compactness. Clipped atop your instrument facing the back side, it is out of sight to the audience but easily seen by the player (providing the stage light isn't too bright). Battery life expectancy so far has lasted longer than any other tuner I have. I find that a plus especially when I'm notorious of not having back ups. Bottom line, this is a great little tuner. I've been using this both for my Schecter guitar, and Ibanez 5-string bass. As of my guitar, it works excellently. It's nothing really spectacular, rather basic for a tuner, but it works quite well. As for bass, however… Pretty terrible. It really only recognizes the A, D, and G strings. It's very inaccurate when trying to tune the low-E string, and it's a complete pain trying to tune the low-B on my 5-string. Absolutely horrendous on that front, but you can't blame it too much, as that's a common problem with all clip-on tuners. In short, excellent for guitar, but, if you're playing bass, (Especially a 5-string) I'd recommend saving up for a pedal tuner.Davin

I MUCH prefer these over the stock ping tuners that came with my classic series 60's strat…unfortunately I didn't read the fine print that said "uhhh btw, you have to buy our adapter's SEPARATELY in order to fit modern guitars"….So I just spent probably 4 hours trying to make these things work before reading that….Wasted so much time, why the h3ll didn't they just include the freaking adapters! I was looking for a set of black tuning heads for my Fender Mexico neck that does not cost more than 100 Euros. The black finish is well done and the construction seem to be tight and stable, as well. No clank or shaking when hit the finger on the machine! I accidently droped these tuning head, but there is no damage visible. Good Job, Musiclily! However, I was hoping that these could be direct replacements for Fender Mexican Necks. It's not the case, but that's okay. Wilkinson and Schaller tuning machines also require new drills. The bushings were too loose for the headstock holes. What I did: Using masking tape to wrap it around the blushing. Old luthier tip, problem solved! If you don't wanna pay 130 bucks for Hipshot HB7 Tuning Heads and you are okay with drilling new holes, go for these!dannychane

They came with what looks like very cheap gear lubricant, maybe even vegetable oil, I don't know. It was a little messy, but that didn't bother me. I clean any replacement parts I use anyways. Imust say for the price the product is OK, but nothing more. Tunning stability is OK. The mechanic runs rough and is unprecise. With a little bit of grese or oil you can improve this. The good thing is, it fits perfect on a stock Sterling by Musicman SUB Bass. An the overall look is great.hc-hardy

Appena montate. Sembrano perfette, esteticamente necessarie per ripristinare una Firebird su cui erano montate delle Grover tradizionali. Vedremo nel tempo la tenuta dell’accordatura e la robustezza. Per adesso voto pieno. Una volta montate, il meccanismo di fissaggio e accordatura è quanto di più semplice possa esistere. Le corde di cambiano in 5 minuti. Molto soddisfatto.

I tested it against my strobe tuner and was impressed how close it was, not perfect but neither is my ear. So, I used it for the first time during a recent sound check. Unaffected by background noise it performed flawlessly. My guitar was unplugged so I was dependant upon the green light. Buying a back up! Only a couple drawbacks but overall very handy.trey452
It works great at home when getting ready to record and have the time to check it afterwards. The times I've tried to use it in a live situation, it's ended up being off and more time consuming than just using my floor tuner. I was excited about the "tune up to pitch" function, which is how you should tune your guitar to keep the tension on the string, but it turns out it doesn't work good and just kinda goes back and forth wandering looking for the right pitch. I asked to return the unit after that, and the company said they knew it was wrong and they were working on a new algorithm to fix that, so just hold tight. I decided to keep it for the heck of it, but haven't heard back.itisrocks
The title says it all. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CHARGE THE UNIT BEFORE USING. SOME POINTS TO REMEMBER. 1) Get a firm grip on this tool. The torque the Roadie 2 generates is surprising, and if the unit is not firmly grasped and/or seated on the tuners it will jerk, possibly come off and you start over again. 2) Don't be surprised if, during tuning, Roadie advances to the next string without you knowing about it. That is, if at first you are a bit slow (and one will be until one gets the hang of it) and think you are tuning for a B string and the machine thinks you are ready for the high e. If at any time one hears more winding than necessary for any given string and of course the pitch goes way beyond normal, you are probably doing something similar to the B/high e scenario. Sometimes the Roadie 2 lets one know one is tuning the wrong string when a red light flashes and a "wrong string" warning appears on the string. There is more but I'm out of……MRW
