Do not buy this product unless you don't mind lowering your endpin when you store it, and lifting your endpin when you take it off the stand. The stand is a little frustrating because you have to lower your endpin for the bass to fit. This means it takes a while to put the bass away. This is not a good stand if you want to just put down your bass from time to time (unless you are very short and barely extend the end pin). Good quality I bought this stand because it was one of the least expensive ones I could find. Unfortunately, because you must lower the endpin before storing the bass, I don't find it very useful. I am going to replace it shortly.
It's a stand! – It keeps the instrument off the floor and saves it from having the whole weight through the spike 24/7. I'll be taking it to gigs where the instrument is vulnerable and presents a trip hazard when not in use (as opposed to a musical hazard when in use!). Added bonus that I can leave the spike extended to first notch which is my normal playing height and can even play it on the stand!!Customer R. H.

Reviews:
I like this stand more than the regular floor stand because this does not put any pressure on my plugs and cords. The bottom of the guitar doesn't touch the stand. The large footprint adds stability, which is great, but it takes up a whole bunch of floor space! My only real concern about this stand is how durable the padding on the neck support is; will it last very long? It seems a bit thin, and moves around when I place my bass in it. The support itself is sturdy and will hold the instrument with no problems. Overall, I am happy with this stand and will be using it as my primary since I do have the space for it.Craig O.
I picked these up from a DotD specifically for a Fender Meteora style guitar, which won't sit so nicely in regular stands due to its shape. I also wanted a good yoke, as a few of my super cheap stands had hard, protruding bits that left small dents in one of my guitar necks. This satisfied both needs. That said, you're likely weighing between a Hercules and this Fender stand. I'd say spend a little more and pick up the Hercs on a DotD. I picked a pair of Hercs up on a later DotD, and the clutch is much, much better on the Herc than the Fender's simple lever. The Herc has indentations in the support that allows the clutch to lock. The Fender is fine for lighter guitars, but can loosen up and drop if too much downward force is put on the yoke support. I had this happen once so far, and have moved my heavier guitars to the Hercs. I would not recommend this for a heavy bass guitar. All of that said! It's a nice stand, and does its job. I don't regret picking it up.Diffracted
I have similar stands from another company which are a slightly different design. The other stands are slightly more compact, since the yoke folds over the top of stand and lays flat against the rise shaft. That is the ONLY thing better about the other stands. The other stands were more expensive, have just as much plastic in the manufacturing, and were less stable due the fold-down locking leg design. Worst of all the other stands have the awful "locking" yoke, which folds tabs down on either side of the neck/headstock joint, at least until they break (which one of mine has). I don't understand the need for this locking yoke device. If the stand gets knocked hard enough to tip, as soon as the body of the guitar hits the floor, the yoke is going to release anyway and the guitar is going to fall out of it, right? Maybe I'm not seeing the purpose of that yoke, but it just seems like another point of failure to me. These Fender stands were an incredible bargain on the SDOTD. I wish I could fold them a little smaller for transport, but that would probably undermine the great stability they have, so I'll accept the very slight lack of portability in favor of the security and confidence they give. The yoke is stationary, welded to the rise shaft. It's slightly narrow, so I have to start the guitar into the yoke at an angle, then rotate it into position. This just adds to the stability, so no big deal once you get in the habit. If you try to pull the guitar straight out of the stand, it will pull the stand toward you along with the guitar. Once again, not a big deal if you simply remember to twist-then-pull. The only other issue may be the base mechanism's screw/handle, which holds the legs in the spread position. The screw is threaded through the red plastic piece which holds the legs. Only time will tell if this design will hold up to regular use, and is my only real concern with these stands. Not worthy of a star deduction yet, but we'll see…Steve-O

Reviews:
Overall, these are great little stands. The issues I have with them are minor but you should be aware of them. First, the way the stands are made doesn't let them sit well on uneven surfaces.I use mine primarily in the studio so this hasn't been an issue with me yet, I have plenty of tripod guitar stands just in case. My other issue is with the hard rubber covering where the legs pivot and the back of the guitar rests. Given the chance I think this could leave marks on the guitar finish. The neck plate on my electric guitars rests on the stand so it's no a problem with them, but my Ibanez bass doesn't have a metal plate and of course my acoustic guitars don't as well. The problem is easily solved by putting a small towel over the top of the stand. This actually is a handy place to put the towel I use to wipe down the strings before I put the guitar down.Dj Phil
I've been playing at my and my friends' homes for years, and I've always just set the guitar down. I finally got this and made a place for it in the corner. But I would still set the guitar down by where I was playing. Then — DUH — I simply brought the stand with the guitar! I play in the chair, it's next to me. I play on the couch, it's next to me. I stand up and record, it's next to me. And when I'm done, I put the guitar and stand in the corner. I should have had one of these years ago! I've never performed with a guitar stand, and I've never recorded professionally, but I would not see any problems with this stand.Someday Guitarist
Adam's purchase of a "Musician's Gear A-frame Stand for Acoustic, Electric, and Bass Guitars" … it's rare but, I have few words for a review of this item … at a price of only $12.99 or less with holiday promo or RedCard discounts and free shipping, I do not have any complaints … unfortunately the guitar stand requires replacement cushions, what appears to be rubberized foam tubing, flattens under the weight of a guitar within only weeks, as many products did the same for decades … it's a shame but, I still love it … intend to spend a few dollars at the local hardware store for correctly sized and more durable tubing … probably chat with Target.com and email Music123, partner sellers … there could be improved replacement parts available … you never know? After playing guitars for 25 years, I have matured and appreciate a great deal and disappointments happen everyday. Thanks Target! AdamAdam of New York

Reviews:
Musician's Gear guitar stand compared to Gear One GS5 stand. I recently purchased a pair of Musician's Gear stands that are made in a similar design to the Gear One GS5 stand. The Musician's Gear stands were on sale 2 for 10 bucks and when I bought the Gear One stand on sale, I believe for a similar but maybe slightly higher price. Can't remember exactly since it was a few months ago. The Gear One is made of larger, thicker, heavier metal and when you pick up both stands, the Gear One is substantially heavier and stronger. Less flex when handled. The Musicians Gear stands are fine for most guitars and the price is great, but if I were going to use one of these for my Peavy T-40 bass which is very heavy, it would be the Gear One. One good point for the Musician's Gear stands is the rubber strap that goes across the neck yoke. The Gear One did not have one. I do not use it often but at least it is there if I should need it. The tripod base on the Musician's Gear is slightly larger, maybe 1/2" longer legs and the neck pole is perhaps 2-3 inches longer. I personally like the Gear One better due to it's more substantial build quality. It is worth the small price difference. However I do not feel I got ripped off by purchasing the Musician's Gear stands. They do what they are supposed to do for a great price.Bobby
These stands are OK for the money, but the picture on the website for these stands did NOT represent what I received when I purchased them online. The GC advertised picture show the cradle attachment as connected/inserted in to a front-mounted connector piece. What I received did not have this feature, but instead a couple of holes in the stand to insert the cradle pin into. A front-mounted connector serves 1, to provide a better angle of stability and clearance, 2. Allows the sliding portion of the stand to adjust all the way to the ground for smaller stringed instruments, and 3. It's simply easier to insert the cradle pin into the front-mounted connector rather than syncing the cradle pin through two holes in the stand. Yes, they smelled bad, kind of toxic. But they didn't break for the brief time I had my guitars in them and I did not notice any damage to the guitar finishes. Needless to say, I returned these and purchased some Ultra 2445 black stands from somewhere else, as these have been reliable for many years. Had the picture on the Guitar Center website accurately represented the product, I never would have purchased these in the first place.Dave
First off: Musicians Friend was awesome about this. The first two-pack of stands had a distinct and nauseating smell of petroleum. (Yeah, I know, there's undoubtedly a large petroleum composition of the foam, but still…..!) Musician's Friend immediately replaced them, even going so far as to send me two individual stands, probably hoping that it would have come from a different job lot and might not smell so bad. This worked, sorta; the replacements were not nearly as stinky (though I can still smell the oily "frangrance"), and I chose to keep them. However, the center of gravity in these stands is higher than in the Open Stage stands I've bought previously, so much so, that my new Bedell acoustic has already tipped over once after being accidentally nudged gently. Fortunately it didn't fall all the way over, but it did bang into my son's guitar. So I won't buy these again, and the two I have will be kept back near the wall, out of the way. For inexpensive stands, I'd recommend you buy Open Stage, not Musician's Gear.Michael D from Tennessee

Reviews:
Wobbly and unstable, especially on carpeted surfaces, but also on a bare floor. At a recent session my banjo took a header off the stand flat onto the studio floor and the neck snapped clean off. Cooperstand's customer relations people were shockingly snarky and combative, it was either my fault for purchasing the wrong stand (nope, it's a Pro-B not a Pro-G) or for not seating it properly (nope, I always make sure its securely on the stand before walking away), or because I didn't contact them first before posting this photo on my social media page (like most working musicians I do product reviews on the side). Expensive, unstable, and belligerent customer relationsyou're better off with a Knig & Meyer stand, or, really, anything other than Cooperstand. CAVEAT EMPTORbudrocket1_2007
The Cooperstand Pro G Compact Wood Folding Stand is the perfect take-along guitar or bass stand. It folds easily and stores in the guitar case so its always handy when needed. It works with both electric and acoustic guitars and basses. The nice wood gives it an esthetic appeal and the padding prevents scratches to the instrument. 5 Stars!buchananj
These stands are solid wood and elegant for displaying guitars. They are not designed for rough handling–and Cooperstand is honest about that fact, recommending different stands for more demanding situations. But these stands are excellent for displaying my guitars in the humidified cabinet I built for them. The stands securely support the guitars and keep them at the ready. CME provided excellent service as always.
10. Musician's Gear Electric, Acoustic And Bass Guitar Stands (3-Pack)
Product Details:
Reviews:
Bought 2 of these when they were the Stupid Deal of the Day. I figured even if they were a little flimsy, they would do an adequate job of holding three guitars in my studio or living room, or maybe even serve for a gig. I am very disappointed in this product. As stated in other customer reviews, no matter what guitars you put on the stands, the headstocks will touch. There is no simple adjustment you can make to the stand to avoid this. If you have the right sized guitars, you may be able to angle them just so to avoid touching, but this level of thought should not be necessary for such a critical piece of kit. It's clunky, poorly designed, and wobbly: the little rubber arm that prevents your guitar from falling out is, sadly, a necessary precaution when leaving your guitar in the stand. At this price point (yes, I mean cheap), I guess it's meant to be disposable. I recommend spending more and getting a Hercules or something more reliable and worthy of your instruments. This last recommendation should also be applied when considering the purchase of any Musician's Gear product.Chordtone
I purchased one of these previously and it was fine. My second unit had the vertical bar mounted to the base so crooked that would nearly fall over backward when a guitar was placed on it. Customer service was super friendly and helpful and sent me another unit at no cost. Unfortunately the replacement was almost as bad, with the vertical bar now leaning to the left. At this point I just gave up. Some say "you get what you pay for" but I would expect any item sold to at the very least fulfill it's primary function to some degree, but these don't. Again, Musicians Friend has good customer service, but this stand is not usable.Clint
Once setting this up out of the box, an issue was obvious. Apparently when this was constructed and welded/soldered at the factory, the connection of the vertical section to the tripod base was done so crookedly, and leaning to one side. there was no way to correct this as it's either soldered or welded at the bottom section, and I wouldn't trust a guitar on this stand. This was a few bucks cheaper than the Chromecast brand so I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately even at $10, it was a waste of time needing to process a return/refund. See attacded photos.UnsatisifitedCustomer

Reviews:
Seriously easy to use and really stable. It doesn’t quite sit against the wall or your machine heads touch the wall. With a typical acoustic the outer edge of the guitar is 25” from the wall. With a bass it could be more – it’s the head clearance! Even so, it takes a lot less space than individual stands. It’s also good at keeping your guitars from clonking against each other once they’re sat in place. As with any rack, care is needed when lifting a guitar into or out of position. It says room for five Guitars. That’s true but it forgets to say there’s loads of room left. Even with five acoustics I reckon I could squeeze in a couple or three electric ones. Thankfully there are kits to fit more neck holders & foam stops. Go on, you need one to justify your next axe 😜Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
The Hercules guitar rack is a well designed and solid piece of equipment. I have owned several racks in the past that were flimsy, warped, and just plain unreliable to trust with my beloved guitars. When it comes to purchasing a guitar rack, the age-old saying of "you get what you pay for" certainly comes into play. The Hercules stands are a bit more pricey, but I believed to be worth every bit of the price. The main thing is that it is solid. There is very little wobble even when loaded with heavy electric guitars. Even though I will not be using it for acoustic guitars, I put 5 of my acoustic guitars on it just to see if it would accommodate them, and of course, it did. The rack comes pre-assembled, and you simply have to unfold it. The rack is also fully adjustable so you can tweak it to maximize the efficiency of how it holds your guitars. The padding is sufficient to protect both the body and neck of your guitars. While I cannot speak of its longevity, I feel confident in saying that it will be around a long time. I own several single Hercules guitar stands, and they have lasted a long time. All in all, I believe the Hercules guitar stand does Homage to the legendary hero it's named after.Profdave
Not the worlds most exciting purchase but there are a few things i appreciate about buying this. Firstly, zero installation, you literally just fold it open. And second I like all my guitars being out. I used to just have my acoustic out and the rest were in cases/gig bags ready to take out for gigs or rehearsals. As gigs and rehearsals dried up I didn’t play anything but my acoustic… for years, now I’ve got the stand I’m playing more guitars, more often. There’s that and I just like the look of it, I like a room with five guitars in it. I reckon I’ll most likely end playing two of these guitars regularly once the novelty has worn off but they’ll always look good. Id rather have wall mounted but the walls in the room I’m using are rubbish, so this stand is a great solution.Reviewed by guitarguitar custome

Reviews:
I ordered one, liked it so much, I ordered two more. For my needs this worked perfectly for my classical, as well as my 12-string and 6-striing acoustic guitars. I like the weight and the balance of this stand. The padding that touches the instrument surface, I feel, is quite adequate. Had also hoped to "kill two birds" by using one as a tabletop music holder; it seems to do the job, in my case only by placing a ruler along either the top front of the stand (behind the book), and possibly other methods I haven't tried yet. Am used to standard guitar stands, so if I had small kids or pets of concern I Might be a little more cautious with type of stand, though, as with any free-standing instrument.Pat
Not the best stand I have, but for the low cost, you simply can't beat it. The build quality is excellent, and the welds (a common quality concern) are exceptional on this product. I've used this for stage and home use, and it's very solid. In fact it's sturdy enough to hold a five and four string jazz bass at the same time. This makes for an incredibly small footprint on small stages or tight rehearsal spaces. It folds for storage, with the only issue being the arms that hold the guitars don't fold, or cannot be taken off for even a smaller load. Regardless, this stand is such a deal for the price, it's hard to find any flaws. Due to space, this is the only stand I'm using at my home right now, and it's holding a 1400.00 bass. That is reason enough to buy itjamesbaghr

Reviews:
A guitar stand is a guitar stand and they all work basically the same whether you spend ten or fifty dollars on one. This On-Stage stand does exactly what it is supposed to, BUT, I returned my pack of 3 for two reasons: #1, I like to often rest my guitars in a stand with them still plugged up, and this stand sits too low to allow for that. I have other similar stands that hold the guitar higher off the ground. #2. This stand has a very short rear leg which in turn makes it much easier for the guitar to be turned over in the 10:00 or 2:00 positions if bumped. My other similar stands – even while holding my guitars higher off the floor, are much more stable because they also have a much longer rear leg. But if you have a strictly acoustic guitar that will not need to be held while plugged up, and kept in a low-traffic location, then this On-Stage stand is just fine.Johnjohn
Ordered a three-part guitar stand: #1. The tripod base, #2. the swiveling "fork" holding the guitar's body and #3. the upper bent tube, where the guitar's neck is secured with the rubber band. They vendor remained silent, no communication for 5 days, then all of a sudden it said they shipped it. It arrived surprisingly fast in 2-3 days tops, BUT, the 3rd part was missing from the package. I started a "send me the missing part or return/refund" case and in about 8 hrs they had refunded the money and let me keep the (albeit) useless item. Obviously a bad experience, but at least they were honest and did not give me a hard time with the refund. What's interesting is that there was no communication from them at all. Like a …silent company. Did some research, they are a surplus liquidator somewhere in Ohio, so basically they buy …"leftovers" (returns, defective, unclaimed layaways, etc.) and sell them on ebay. Still, buying from them seems like a hit or miss. You never know if what they send you is going to be EXACTLY the parts you ordered. Moving on, thanks eBay!dimi.g.pana

Reviews:
Well made as expected (my 2nd Hercules stand). Small and neat design. I wanted a stand that would hold the guitar in its gig bag as well as just the guitar on its own. This it does. I would have preferred the height at the back (hinge side) to have been say 50mm higher and the front hooks maybe 10mm longer but it does the job ok as it is. Reasonable price.Keith S.
Over many years of playing professionally I've had to use a lot of instrument stands. I must say that I have never used anything like the Hercules guitar stand. Don't let the small size fool you. This thing is built like a tank. It is extremely solid and very well balanced. The grip and balance is so good, I use it for my banjo. Before I purchased my Hercules stand I always had to place mt instrument back in the case during breaks. Now, I fully trust the Hercules guitar stand to securely hold my $3000 instrument. I highly recommend, if you play a stringed instrument, that you use no other stand than the Hercules. Strong, holds instrument securely, easy to travel with. There just isn't a better stand than the Hercules TravLite. R.D. Roden "banjo player "The Bluegrass Salesmen"telemasters
