1. Phil Jones Bass Cab-27 Bass Speaker Cabinet, 200w
Product Details:
The 200-watt bass cabinet features two of the pjbs proprietary 7-inch drivers matched with a 3-inch cone tweeter, which jones puts into a special enclosure design. the pjb dual-vent system is designed to handle extremely high air velocities without distortion. a hyperbolic vent aperture at both ends of the elliptical tubes allows the air to flow through smoothly with less air turbulence and noise, the result is cleaner sounding deep bass. the cab 27s frequency response is so smooth; it can easily double as a vocal monitor or as a music playback speaker.

Reviews:
I use this Cab 27 as a home practice amp. Being more of an audiophile than a musician, I'm critical to sound quality. I was shocked with how well engineered the Cab 27 is. The drivers, cabinet, ports and crossover all are designed as a system to provide optimal output, low distortion and flat frequency response over the fundamental and harmonic frequency range of a bass. Amazingly well done at this price point. This is not just a box with a driver and an opening on the back. Extremely well designed and build like a brick sh house.Paul
2. Mesa Boogie 1×12 Subway Ultra-Lite Bass Cabinet

All of the praise and reviews about the 115 are all true! This cab has the lows you would expect from a 15" but amazingly sounds great playing in the high ranges. Definitely a one cab does all if you can only own one… PS: Huge shout out to Nate Kauffman! Great to work with and very patient with some of my indecisiveness, you are the man!
Very nicely designed..super high quality drivers in a very portable lightweight cabinet.. should cover most of my gigs.57pbass
I am A big fan of at least a lower and an upper bass bi set up. Also I use two 12" or more on top cabs…and, two 4×10 bottoms… i needed a really light weight set up so Mesa Boogie 2×12 top is remarkably lite! And: also a 1×15 bottom for smaller but big punchy bottom…simply said it werx!!! Clean sounding and rivals my old standard 2×12 RS TC ELECTRNONIC bins beautifully , I have got to admit a lot better build quality for travel or? you guys probably could lower price a bit? but don't loose that quality! All the best BIF33bifray
3. Aguilar Sl 112 Bass Cabinet
Product Details:
Selling this very sleek limited edition aguilar sl series 1×12 bass cab. in very good shape overall, was gigged somewhat regularly and has numerous small signs of wear, small markings in the tolex, but none are very noticeable easy to miss. did my best to take photos showing all the small markings, most evident is a scratch on the bottom of the cabinet by the feet, but obviously being on the bottom not notable at all when being used. overall a great light weight cab my absolute favorite grab and go bass cab ive owned sounds fantastic and makes for a good bottom for a 2 cab stack, which is how i usually used it on larger shows. may consider a reasonable offer from a serious buyer will also being open for local pick up. selling as-described, not interested in seeing it come back. feel free to message with any questions or for more images! thanks.
Reviews:
This cabinet is incredible! Paired with the ToneHammer heads it's a great small rig. Add a second cabinet and you should be able to cover any venue. Anything too big for it should have PA support. May not work great for loud metal, but I got a great tone for rock, blues, R&B, reggae, contemporary jazz and gospel, and traditional jazz. I ordered a "scratch and dent", which had two minuscule marks in the Rolex and a very small dent in one of the corners. Doesn't bother me and I saved a ton!Bassjones
As a jazz/fusion/R&B bassist, I use two of these paired with an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 and I have no reservations saying that it is the best portable rig I have ever used. I have tried plenty of other brands, with Markbass coming in a very close 2nd place in terms of a solid portable rig (My Little Mark III with a 2×10 and 1×12 traveler sounds awesome). I've had GK, Fender, Ampeg, Genz Benz, and Carvin amps in the past and none of them compare to this amp's versatility or quality of tone. Two of these cabs at 500W satisfies all of my gigging needs, but I would ideally use an Aguilar DB head with a 212 and a 410. Until I have roadies, I'll be using my SL112s. The only way I'll ever sell these is if Aguilar comes out with a portable 2×8 or 2×10, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Bottom line: BUY THIS CAB! (or two of them if you can afford it)Mike
I`m new to bass world but since I bought pretty expensive bass guitar I wanted to have a good sound . This speaker was recommended to me by a friend who already owns one. Speaker looks a bit like an old radio but sounds great. I wish it would be a bit cheaper and smaller but I received a bit of discount from m.friend due to New Year , New Gear sale event ! One thing if you buy both speaker as well as amp don`t believe the seller here that the connecting cable is included because it`s NOT INCLUDED ! I listened what my friend said and ordered cable somewhere else right after I ordered speaker so cable arrived around the same time otherwise I would have to play base wireless and soundless 🙂 Thank youMark

Product Details:
Featuring the same gorgeous, distinctive darkglass look with carbon fiber tolex, now loaded with custom-made eminence neodymium drivers for a super low-weight solution with massive and present tone, performance, and reliability. warning always use good quality speaker cables. the longer the cable the more heat will be dissipated by it which results in less power transduced by the speaker itself. never use instrument cable (shielded) for connecting an amplifier to a cabinet. this cabinet can produce very loud sounds, exposure to high levels of sound can damage your ears. use proper protection if you are exposed to loud noises.
Specifications:
Weight | 33.51 lb |
Reviews:
Love this cabinet, matches perfectly with my Darkglass Microtubes 500v2. I was for a second thinking to get the 2×12 as it has double output and would squeeze all the power of the amp but glad I got this 2×10, from my experience this is more than enough and are often more define whilst plenty of bass still. Love mine!Ander M.

So light, very clear sound.Tim L.
Thundering low end with that perfect clarity you need and it weighs nothing. What else could you want from a bass cab?
It goes without saying that the Darkglass 4×10 is an amazing cabinet. As far as style, arguably there are none sleeker. I replaced my GK ceramic speaker and NEO cabs with this cab (I previously had a 2×10 and 1×15 pairing). This cabinet is smoother sounding, with more thump, and deeper extended lows. Every note is full and has a musical top end. While the GK cabs I used were a bit boxy sounding, this cab has a full musical range and much better reproduction of my Dingwall Z3 5 string. The problem however is AMS. The cabinet came with a 2” rip in the tolex along the side. While accidents can and do happen, and it’s impossible to lay blame anywhere from a practical standpoint, this is the second of three shipments (my first three purchases mind you) to come damaged. The first…three pedals including a DG ADAM and Hyper Luminal…the pedals poorly packed and rattling around in the box and the product boxes smashed and damaged with the USB cables digging into each pedal leaving cosmetic damage behind. Then this cabinet, followed by an Alpha Omega head being poorly packed and absolutely obliterated in shipping. Again, it’s impossible to attribute blame per se but in each instance one common denominator: poor packing from AMS. The age old axiom in shipping: if it moves, it breaks, is somehow not understood by AMS. Their handling of the situations have left much to be desired. Yes they dispatched me a new cabinet, but have only offered me small discounts and/or gift cards for the aesthetic and cosmetic damages to the other gear. Word to the wise; be prepared to inspect your gear from AMS and deal with potential returns and exchanges. And if at all possible, pay with PayPal so if need be you can file a PayPal claim. While I did not, you should.Shane
7. Markbass New York 151 Bass Speaker Cabinet Black 8 Ohms
Product Details:
This item was returned in great condition. it looks and plays like new, with only minor signs of use (slight scuffs, etc.). part of mark bass' new york series of bass speaker cabinets, this little powerhouse is the perfect extension for either the mini cmd 151p combo or the cmd 151p jeff berlin combo. it's also a great lightweight option for combining with any 500w markbass amp. this markbass new york speaker series is named after the world's most famous city, where bassists often lug their rigs by subway or taxi to get to gigs. because of this issue, markbass set out to create a combo amp that had the power, but not the bulkiness of a regular bass combo. the end result speaks for itself. the sound of this bass speaker cabinet is smooth and warm, with sweet full range and a deep tone that extends down to 40hz. the markbass new york 151 features one 15" speaker and a piezo tweeter with 400w of power handling.
Reviews:
Bought this little cab after owning, and still owning, lots of other Markbass cabs. I had planned on using this cab as one I could leave at the place I practice at since it didn't cost much. It sounds like a less expensive Markbass cab with a hollow sounding voicing, not too bad for the price, but it definitely sounds different. With the right Markbass head though you can still make the cab give you a similar Markbass tone. The only thing that makes the cab not worth keeping is the misleading watt ratings on Guitar Center's and Markbass's website. Both sites have the max power handling for the cab at 300 watts, but the cabinet's label on the back has it as only 200 watts. This will definitely effect what heads you can use and bring down its resale value.ScottM
Sounds like a Markbass should. Excellent sound and excellent value.. Made in Indonesia but overall quality was excellent good fit and finish. Very impressed overall. A little heavier than the regular 115 NY cab but manageable. Spec listed 300W but the nameplate reads 200W. It handles my Little Mark III with no issues though even at high volume.PP
I bought a MB 121H combo and got rid of the Hartke 4 x10 and Behringer Ultrabass AH4500. My thinking was better tone + less weight, count me in. I paid it off in a year and was happy with my sound. And then I joined another 2 guitar rock band. I had to turn the combo up all of the way to keep up. To it's credit the combo did not break up at max volume with gain just past noon. This led me to the NY 151. With the New York 1 x 15 underneath the combo there is an unmistakable girth to my sound now. No need for max volume, you "feel" the bass now. This is my new stack. Also I use a MB tube compressor pedal, always on.J-Dog Krohmer

Reviews:
I called Peavey, have been using their equipment for years, PA's , Basses, Bass amps and guitar amps and have always been satisfied. This is the worst sounding bass cabinet I have ever used. When I spoke to them, they said that I am the only one that has complained. i have a 4 x10" TXF cabinet which sounds great and wanted to get 2 sets of 2 x 10" for easier transport.I swapped speakers between the cabinets and the TXF cabinet sounded great with either set, the Headliner 210 sucked with either speaker. I did some internal measurements of the 210's and used speaker cabinet software and the 210's do not meet any specifications for a 2 x 10" speaker cabinet. bought them online and cost too much to return them. sold 1 set of them for a substantial loss and still can't get rid of the other one.Guy
Overall: I played a show recently that had an in house sound system. They had a headliner410 and a peavey tour750 amp. It sounded good but…. I had to go out to the trailer and grab my peavey 210cabinet with a built in tweeter. Im not impressed by cabinets that dont have a horn/tweeter, Im a funk r&b motown bassist. On some songs I have to slap or thump. Together the 2 of them sounded awesome……..Maverick
WOW is the only way to describe this cabinet. I purchased a "scratch & dent" product, let me tell you this cabinet was in almost perfect condition all but for a "REAL SMALL DENT" Played this cabinet for the first time "Live" three days after receiving it and …WOW…paired it with a 1×15 cab and a GK MB500 head and I literally shook the venue to where you could actually feel the vibrations on stage and the dance floor, thinking it was the 1×15 I disconnected it and to my surprise it was the Peavey 4×10 doiing the shaking , again WOW ! Some people in other reviews has giving negative comments for the "Carpet" to me no big deal because it is "A Lot" cheaper to recover the carpet then Tolex when that time comes, so not a big deal for me. I did install a set of removable Fender casters because this cabinet is heavy (75 lbs) and they make it real easy to move in and out of gigs… I also love the fact that I DOES NOT have a horn that suits our style of classic rock that we cover. YES I Highly recommend this cabinet over the more expensive brands, WHY pay three times the amount for the same results !!!!!Doug, bigdog2116

I’m a bass player in a hard rock band, and I needed a cab that will be loud enough to keep the compressed low end and high distorted tone cutting through loud drummer and guitars. I’m very satisfied with the volume and the clarity of the sound. Using it with Warwick LWA 500 and Microtubes X pedal, the sound is massive. Highly recommended if you are in heavy band.Michal M.

Just the addition/sonic expansion I was looking for to accompany my 300w bass amp that I use at home. The combination of my amp's 2" tweeter & 15" speaker partnered with the Phil Jones CAB-47's four 7" speakers & 2" tweeter give just the right punch for my Aguilar equipped P/J bass. Now I can dial in everything from Larry Graham to Geddy Lee; from deep lows to tight highs and everything in between. Nice!JPS
Getting the negative out of the way, this won't rumble anything like a larger speaker, it certainly lacks in the "feel it" department. However, paired with a normal 4×10 is pretty exciting. Positives: Clarity, even though it doesn't rumble, the lows are there, even with my 5 string. Mids and Highs sound great. Volume is on par with my larger cabs. Size (& fairly light), the thing can fit in the back seat of my king cab. Context: my live rig varies between peaveys 1×15, 4×10, and 2×10 (any combination). I wouldn't hesitate to bring this out on the road to save space. So far, it's been great to play at home and did very well in a thrash metal practice. We're loud, and I could still hear me through everything even with it so low on the floor. At a home practice setting, my fretless sounded great.Kosmo

Sound: Its about the same size as the vintage 215 package but the 10's add a versatile midrange…I don't use the tweeter often in mine, but when I'm playing an active bass through, its perfect. Features: The only thing they missed on this cabinet in my opinion is with constant loading in and out, you run into stairs…Its SUPER light weight, but they could've put some handles on the sides of the cabinet. That is the ONLY thing i feel like they coulee done to make this a more ergonomically conscious speaker box. I love the kickback wheeled design. Ease of Use: The only thing they missed on this cabinet in my opinion is with constant loading in and out, you run into stairs…Its SUPER light weight, but they could've put some handles on the sides of the cabinet. Quality: Mine has traveled the entire midwest in a car or trailer & its Still holding up looking darn near brand new after 3+ years of use, constant loading in & out. Works just fine in the southern heat as well as the harsh winter. Its not being babied very much at all…No complaints. Value: Worth every Penny. I have often considered buying the Oxblood setup just because. Manufacturer Support: Haven't had to deal with anything going wrong with this speaker. When SWR's new ideas combined with existing Fender classic tone makes an amazing modern day improvement on what is otherwise classic perfection. The Wow Factor: The aesthetic is nailed when The acts of yesteryear are impressed as well as the pro's of modern times…You're golden. Overall: Only my back notices, as well as thanks me that this cab isn't an old 70's battle wagon.Werd
As I stated in my Fender Super Bassman Review…I was nervous of being stuck with a sales gimmick here. Being that vintage is back in style. But, I own two SWR GoLight NEO speakers (410 & 115) and I love them. Being that Fender & SWR are made by the same people, I assumed this cab would be a hit. I assumed correctly.Werd Nilknarf
What can I say this is a good Bass cab clean and clear good Highs and mids with nice tight lows. No wooly or masked lows and the overall sound is defined and clean without being too much. There is plenty of high end zing available if that is your thing. IMHO they should just leave the Horn on the factory floor. This one can be very harsh sounding.Nighttrain1127

First I bought the 112 Chocolate Thunder and I loved the punch this delivered. This cab travelled with me to every gig. It held its weight in bars and clubs. Fellow musicians would approach just to see where the Bass was coming from. Try the Chocolate Thunder, you will be pleased with what you hear.Jack
This cabinet is amazing…don't really know how else to describe it. It is extremely punchy and will cut through any mix and loud stage you could possibly imagine. I've witnessed some large scale touring opperations use two of these side by side and honestly, I do not see how anyone is able to stand in front of them without being blown away. Very nice job Aguilar, I will be dealing with your products in the future.poubass maximus
Built super tough. Speakers handle it all. The 10s Aguilar make are virtually indestructible. The frequency response is out of this world. It's handling is not only fantastic at loud volumes, but at soft volumes too. I use it both in mid size bars, but gymnasiums, and smaller arenas and theaters. Enjoy!aguilarIsMyWhip

It's a pleasure to move around due to the weight and, surprise, it comes with removable wheel casters! It sounds great paired with the neo 210 and PRO 7 head. Corner protectors would have been nice – the textured paint covering does start to chip and scuff if treated roughly. Everything on the inside is great. The outside finish chips pretty easily. Compaired to similar products this fits right in considering it's light weight and sounds killer.straightshot bass
I purchased these after much review online. I spend alot of time reviewing items before purchasing them. This 15" cabinet by Ampeg had the lowest hz's (35hz) available and wattage (575 watts) beyond any 15's I've seen! Doesn't touch Bergantino nor Mesa Boogie in tone either! People, I've owned them all believe me! If you want a professional 15" cabinet with loads of low end and nice punch and articulation, then look no further than the oldest bass amplification company, Ampeg. I purchased two of them to combine with my Mesa Boogie 4×12 cab… perfect! Showless.

Sound: I’m very happy with the sound quality. It may not sound identical to the original speakers modeled but honestly I don’t have that good of an ear to know the difference. I do know my high gain and crunch patches with the Vintage or Green sound just like I want, and for clean-ish tones the Essex with a Vox amp does the job quite nicely. Whether it has the mythical “amp in the room” sound or not is going to be up to each user’s own ears. I will say it sounds more organic and amp-like than any FRFR I’ve used and leave it at that. Features: This has so many features it’s hard to list what I find most useful. Physical features like being fairly lightweight and having tiltback legs are certainly helpful to an old guy like me. The tiltback seems extreme but it works well and I don’t feel the need for an amp stand. MIDI or L6 link to remotely change cabinets with each patch is great, and with the L6 link it can easily be done within each patch. I also like that the L6 link runs audio and data. Why use 2 cables when you can to it all with one? The ability to use it as a standard FRFR to run IR is another cool feature and I like that if I need to I can go direct to FOH via through the PC+ and use a separate IR to FOH and speaker modeling in the cab. Lastly, this can be used with any modeler. You can send MIDI messages via standard 5 pin MIDI cable to change speakers and IR within patches from just about any modeling product. If something ever trumps the Helix, I’ll still have a great cab to pair it with. Ease of Use: It’s incredibly easy to get good sounds. Turn the knob on the top until you get a speaker you like. The speaker modeling sounds great. I’ve dabbled with some of the IR’s and they sound great too. Some folks have complained that it doesn’t have enough volume but that’s not been the case with me. You will need to make sure the output levels on your modeler are properly set to get the most volume and avoid clipping. If you aren’t familiar with how to do this, I would suggest checking out YouTube videos by Jason Sadites or Steve Sterlacci on how to properly set patch levels. It’s super easy and mostly common sense, but something a lot of folks overlook. And don’t forget to include your solo boosts when setting levels!! Quality: By all appearances it seems very well built and sturdy and has a quality feel. I know there are people using these on the road and that also says a lot about the build quality. It’s been tossed in and out of my trunk a few times now with minimal wear and tear showing. It would be nice if it was made of birch and covered with Tolex, but that would only add to the cost and weight. As it is the box is solid. Value: At first glance $799 seems expensive for a 1×12 cab. However, when you consider what it can do that others can’t and then compare it to other 1×12 FRFR that are $1,000 and up it starts becoming a better and better value. If you don’t need MIDI or remote speaker switching, then there’s also the standard Powercab that’s a couple hundred less. Sounds the same just not as many features. Manufacturer Support: Over the years I’ve purchased quite a bit of Line6 gear and they have always provided me with great support. They have a very good user forum with plenty of knowledgeable and helpful people and Line6 also has reps in some of the larger gear forums. Line6 has a good history of product updates as well. The PC+ has already received an update with some additional features and I expect they will continue to update as needed. They seem to do a pretty good job of listening to their customers when it comes to requesting features etc. The Wow Factor: Speaker modeling, FRFR, and IR all in one cab that sounds really good. That’s pretty wow to me! I think this will appeal to players like myself who use modeling and are looking for the best sound without a lot of fussing, or just plain don’t like the sound of an FRFR as much as a normal amp and cab. Overall: I just went back to Helix after using Mesa MKV and Friedman JJ amps. The band doesn’t play a lot of gigs that require miking up the guitars or using direct FOH, so the speaker I chose had to sound great on its own and not just something to monitor myself with. The last time I went down the FRFR road it didn’t work out very well. I know it’s not the boxes it’s me, but regardless I got tired of constantly trying to find the right IR or thinking I found one that sounded good at home only to have it sound like crap at band volume yada yada. When I was researching speakers for the Helix I heard a lot of great things about the Powercab so I thought I’d give it a shot. The speaker modeling is somewhat unique, and I thought it might be the shorter path to better tone for me. It arrived 2 days after I ordered and the set up was very easy. I had already decided to use L6 link instead of XLR because I wanted to remotely control the cab via the Helix and not have to set up MIDI. Out of the box it was still on an old software version and needAllan
Everything I expected from Line 6. This Power Cab Plus 112 is blowing my mind right now. I usually never go with solid state amps. I've been playing through Fender Deluxe Reverbs, Hot Rod Deluxe' and my latest Fender Princeton Reverb. These are for sure amazing go to amps. However, to my ears, with the HELIX LT that I play through, I'm getting similar tones and even more using the built-in speaker models that come with stock with the Power Cab Plus 112. I've never had this much versatility in a rig before. I love it. I also use the genuine Line 6 L6 Link cable (witch is just a good quality AES/EBU cable) connected between my HELIX LT and the Power Cab Plus 112 so that I can change speaker models on the fly with my presets. I really can't ask for more. Simple, light weight, professional sounding tones, all at my toe tips. This is good times for sure.FELIX
I had high hopes, when I saw that Line 6 was offering powered speaker cabs, I thought wow ! Like the Tech 21 Power Engine but better !!!! Wrong… I sold my pair of Tech 21 Power Engines when I purchased a pair of these cabs… wrong move. I unpacked the Power Cabs and thought .. BEAUTIFUL !!! Sturdy, stylish… when I plugged in my HELIX…. I literally could not get a usable sound out of it, I fiddled for hours. After a few days of fiddling with new presets I was able to get a decent basic sound so I thought I was golden. I took it out for on gig doing a outdoor surf meet event… OUCH ! Fizzy, treble ridden, buzz saw city. I could not even get a decent volume from it, the tone because it was so "HIFI" was so buried in the mix I could barely hear myself. Besides the lack of volume, I could not believe the absolute atrocious tone I was getting(think BUZZSAW). This is not a good match for a helix or any floor processors or modelers. I regret getting rid of my Tech 21's they were a tad noisy but they sounded 100% better than these. I keep hearing and seeing the reviews for the Plus version, but seems odd that for something that is supposed to simply amplify the sound you get from your Helix would do such a poor job. WIth the covers and the shipping I paid mucho dinero so saying I am unhappy is an understatement. I've been told with tweaking you can get the cab to sound good, I've spent hours doing this. I don't think its possible. Avoid this… I have been using my cabs as vocal monitors, just because I would get smashed if I tried to sell them. I've used this for one gig, maybe 6 times at rehearsal, sadly they are horrible, giving it 2 stars is quite generous….Guitar Kahuna

Reviews:
I use this cabinet with a fender rumble V3 2×10 combo and it fits perfectly in a neat stack. These V3 products are really great for the money as the quality is really good and the looks are really nice. They have that nice vintage vibe to them. As far as sound goes, this extension cab does produce very low sound as well as punchy mids and very clear highs. I play a lot of slap type stuff and this sucker translated that very well. Rock, jazz, r &b, country, whatever you play it will come across right. For what it is it gets really loud and sounds full and articulate to me. Every expressive thing I can throw at it with my bass, this cab reproduces it nicely. When playing at very high levels with LOTS of bass, the speakers do tend to break up a bit but that's really due to over driving my EQ with an unnatural amount of bass. I tried so many different sounds and it works great. Honestly when I say very high levels I mean a level I would never play at anyway. This cab won't fill a 50K seat auditorium, but that's not the intention. For small to small/medium venues, this is perfect. If you want just a little more booty but don't mind the mismatch look, the V3 1×15 sounds a bit fuller to me. Really it's up to you, both are worth every penny. Buy both cabs. The price is right. If you are considering this cabinet, try it. Musicians friend is sooo easy to work with. They offer terms that can't be beat. So, yes it's awesome. Worth every penny.Chippy
I bought this cab to round out my Bass set up. I recently purchased the Fender Bassman 500 (I absolutely love that head!)and the Rumble 1×15 cab. For most of what I do that was fine as I like a nice round tone that the 1×15 gives. I bought the 2×10 to add a bit of punch and to move move more air than the 1×15 alone. I am super satisfied with the both cabs. Fender puts out a great product, it not only sounds fantastic but looks great on stage as well. The set up has more power than I need but it is nice to be able to play and know there is more power if ever needed. Like all Fender products I expect this will last a lifetime with proper care. This icing on the cake is that both cabs weigh under 40 pounds each and don't break my back moving on and off the stage. PS don't forget your ear plugs, these cabs have the power to destroy your hearing!Bassman

Reviews:
I have one of these and the thing is tough that's for sure. I've had this particular one for about 6 yrs or so and Its been all over the place. You can really dial in some great tones with it. The classic line 6 tones are top notch in these pre-usb era models, true grit , smooth, and triply if you're into the acid rock type. Plus if you like earlier Metal this was the amp most young musicians were playing in the late 90's. I kind of prefer it over a lot of other amps strung about that may be because I am familiar with it though I think its because it reminds me of that time era and the sound is comforting . Really, I guess it depends on what you are using it for. Its quick and versatile. But… It is what it is and it will never be a Marshal JCM or one of the Fender Classics there is no substitute for them and they're not trying to be, but its a great intermediate-pro model and for $100 you cant beat these second edition Spiders. Rock on man!!juice_3311
