Does what it's supposed to. Works great with OFR; haven't tried with LFRs or Ibanez Edge trems yet. Didn't have any of the problems some other reviewers posted here. With the trem temporarily blocked one-way (dive only) and an extra spring installed, this tool makes it a 30-minute job or less. I don't block it both ways so I can still dip the bar to slacken the strings enough to get access to adjust the intonation lock screws.Jet
I bought this tool at Guitar Center a couple of weeks ago and immediately used it to set up two of my guitars with Floyd Rose tremelos. The product I received is slightly different from the picture on this website. The main difference is that the knob on the product I recieved was plastic and smooth, as opposed to the metal, textured one shown. I also believe that the one shown on the picture could also be turned with an allen key. The product came without instruction, although, it should be self-explanatory. This product worked as advertised. I was also to achieve precise results in quicker time. For best results, block off and balance the trem (block of wood, battery, etc) and remove a spring. This allows you to tune your strings to pitch and work on a saddle without affecting the pitch of the other strings. Once done and checked, install the spring and tune the A (5th) string with the claw spring.

This little gem has cut my setup time on customer Ibanez guitars with locking tremolo in half! It adjusts quickly, and is strong enough to hold the saddle in place while checking the intonation. Its knurled wheel is non-slip, and can make the most radical adjustment, to the most miniscule. This has been used on over ten RGs outfitted with the Edge III bridge. Better than any locking tuner, you just have to measure the string to the second peg above the one you're using, cut it and put it in. When you get to the unwound ones, clip a little shorter (can't tell you how to measure, I figured it out by trial and error. I would estimate 3 wraps by sort of wrapping it loosely, then cut). Perfect match to the vintage F tuners made on the great strats of yore, you can age them to match by fuming the finish with muriatic acid. Place the tuners on an upside down bowl in a piece of tuperware with an inch or so of acid. Seal the lid. Place in a bath of hot water, and the acid will heat and evaporate. After 10 – 15 minutes check the level of chrome removal. You can always do more, but you can't easy put chrome back on. Rinse with cold water when you're done. RAWK ON!!!!ki_jaybones
I love these tuners. They look cool, they hold tune well. I would not upgrade to these for any guitar that doesn't already have them. Use these for repair/replacement only if you have a guitar that comes with these machines (Eric Clapton, 50s reissue strats). American standards, deluxe and mexican strats all use a different mounting method and have a different peg hole size which is why they provide you with those bushings. If you use these to replace the stock Ping tuners you must be able to drill and tap the machine screw mounting holes. The bushings do not set tight in the existing tuning machine peg hole. I used a drop of super glue to hold the bushings in place to the head. I did use these to make a black MN MIM strat look more like Eric's blackie, so it is not impossible to use them, just know you will have to drill new screw holes and tap them for mounting. Be very careful to not drill all the way through the head and with brass mounting screws. There are no extra screws. It is very easy to bur the brass phillip screw heads beyond use. After your holes are drilled use a pick guard screw to thread hole, then use the provided mounting screw for the tuning machine. I drilled and tapped holes to install one machine at a time to more easily manage alignment of machines from one to the other. After I was done it looked factory issue and worked the same. I put a drop of oil between the peg and bushing before stringing to ease peg binding against the bushing.
I build custom Strat/Tele's so this may not apply to all but…. Like others said this peg uses press-fit front bushing style similar to low cost Squire Strat. For standard diecast pegs I drill 10 mm diameter holes on peg head. I use aftermarket necks with 8 mm diameter hole (I remember it is same as low cost Squire). What I do on 8 mm holes for this peg is I drill 4 mm deep 23/64 (9.1 mm??) diameter counterbore holes to accommodate the bushings. I strongly recommend using drill press not hand drill for this. Also for a better support of peg shaft, I made Teflon sleeves to fill the peghead holes of 8 – 10 mm with silicone grease. One minor issue I have is peghead of some aftermarket Tele neck is a little undersized so I need to file the end peg (High E) a bit to fit.Basement Blues

These tuners are absolutely great! I was able to install them myself without any major mishaps. The article from Sweetwater on how to install them was all I needed. I also checked with my Sweetwater rep, Vaughn, before I ordered them to make sure they were compatible. It was great having an expert help me and tell me what I needed to do before I ordered them so I didn't get unpleasantly surprised with the install process. The tuners are great! So easy to change strings now. It took me less than 5 minutes to change all my strings instead of 20+ minutes because the string keeps slipping or becoming unwound from the tuner. The automatic trimming feature is so great too. No sharp edges and the headstock looks so clean!
Worked awesome for around 2 years and then literally fell apart one by one. I wasn't over tightening, or anything. Irreparable, the locking mechanism got loose and very quickly fell out of it along with gears. Not a happy camper, but I guess that's what you get with cheaper tuners. Other than that, easy install of course, stayed in tune pretty well, and worked as you would like them, minus the eventual implosion. 🤷♂Joseph

These are beautiful and easy to install (installed on a Gibson Les Paul Studio) and the tuners are very smooth and accurate. However, as I have read in several other reviews, the high E and to a lesser extent the B string tuners will not lock properly with lighter gauge strings. If you are using 9's or 10's you will need to wrap those strings in order to get a proper lock. This somewhat defeats the purpose of having locking tuners. If it were not for the fact that these tuners are absolutely gorgeous, I would be hesitant to recommend them. The other issue is that the locking knobs do feel slightly flimsy to me – I say they feel because they may be perfectly robust, but compared to other brands of locking tuners that I use, they just don't seem solid enough. If you can live with these issues, then I think you will be happy with these tuners. They are definitely stunning in appearance – especially the open gear version – but time will tell if they hold up mechanically.greenback44
The tuners have a 10mm sleeve to make sure your guitar has the correct sized headstock or you will be reaming it to size. The included ump system did not work on my Yamaha Pacifica 012. The factory holes in the headstock were too far apart to mount more than 2 tuners at a time. They do come with screws and a mounting hole so that is how I had to attach them. It worked but it required drilling new pilot holes and screwing the tuners down. The tuners were staggered and I was able to remove the factory string tree. They are smooth and very precise so tuning to your desired pitch is easy. The locking pins made my string change a breeze. They hold the strings in tight without pinching the thinner strings like my Fender tuners do. High quality fit and finish as well. Beautiful tuners.bike-fi-guy

An impressive sounding device but I haven’t been able to get it to work yet. The software package that comes with it on CD is dated and doesn’t work with Windows 10. The drivers on CD are old too. So you have to get the new drivers from the Behringer web site. Then you have to get a sound software package. Audacity is too simple so I signed up for Pro Tools free, but it wouldn’t install the audio drivers. Then you need the Behringer USB link and then try to get the lot to work. I couldn’t. DJ City offered me a refund but I’m going to persist. I also bought a Jam for the iPad and that worked within minutes.Richard W.
This product appeared to be a very simple, almost plug and play, interface that would let me play my RISA ukulele through my PC and laptop. I have been researching how to make this interface work for about a month. Some users are very lucky and very satisfied. Others, like me, have yet to get a single note out the PC speakers or headphones. It is an inexpensive device, but should still be straight-forward to install. IT IS NOT. Drivers are no longer available at the vendor site. The fact that even this business can not provide concrete installation instructions that result in this device working should be enough to scare anyone off this product. Pros: Compact, Easy To Use Cons: Limitations With Win7 Other thoughts: compact and pretty much plug-n-play. I'm running Windows 7 Pro and found out that I'm not able to listen to my guitar plugged into the unit AND the audio on my laptop. This is a limitation to me, as I purchased this interface for the purpose of being able to play along with my online guitar lessons. I have to add that I noticed this when using the ASIO drivers (ASIO4ALL). I attempted to test another one of the built in Windows drivers but the latency is just unacceptable. I haven't tried this with any other version of Windows (eg: XP) to see if this is still the case. Just something to mention. Again, it's compact with it's tiny footprint, which is great for mobilility. When setup to play guitar using the ASIO drivers, the guitar sound and latency is fine. My son plays guitar and pretty much taught himself, and does pretty well. I got this tuner hoping it would work better then the one we bought for him before. It truly does. This Kliq Uber Tuner has a highly sensitive piezo tuner and algorithm so the guitar actually tunes very quickly. The display is super bright and according to my son, he loves that, he said it’s easy to see and read at any angle. He normally doesn’t get impressed with things, but he really does like this. This tuner allows for background noise to not interfere with the tuning of the guitar. This Kliq works on strings as well as brass and fluted instruments . They make everything in-house and still use the original industrial size machine tools purchased by Leo Fender, and still use his manufacture process. I use graph tech nuts saddles and pins as much as possible on all my custom builds. A good setup and support system for your strings is as important as the wood and neck of your guitar. The strings must be able to vibrate with little resistance and without a mechanical part Causing dead spots to get optimal sustain and ring. Graph Tech builds several different product lines for all guitars from acoustic to electronic and many different models for each. Choosing the right one for the tonal characteristics you are going for is just as important as Making the right choice on your strings. These things are awesome. had them for a while now .. been playing the same set of strings on em for 8 months I know its a while for a set of strings but I wanted to put these to the test. I have no lie either used it during practice of for sweaty gigs every weekend since for 8 months. 1 As long as you wipe your strings off after gigs which should be a habbit anyway this will help out with string life. 2 Sustain is improved a lot. 3 With this being a softer material they actually help in that unwanted body sound for those who don't gate your rigs our guitar lines. its not a muter by any means but I did notice the guitar is a little more straight forward. 4 My main dislike is after putting them on im not sure what or why but its like I lost 50% of my pinch mutes with this guitar. it kinda makes me scared to upgrade my les paul styled bridge on other guitars with this. 5 For those who use these and play low low action I play mine around 4/64s and I use this guitar as one of my main guitars a lot of hand movement on the picking hand .. I wish the studs were shorter cuz my hand looks like a cat I don't own got ahold of it some nights .. I WOULD RECOMMEND this product to anyone who maybe looking for their first nice upgrade to a hodgepoj guitar .. or even an experienced jazz musician .. for metal dudes this is a great buy for the Backup guitar if you not changing your strings every gig that is .. but if your the weekend warrior and always have the backup with ya if you play a guitar that needs this type of bridge and its your backup definitely worth the buy will deal with the gnarliest bends .. sweat .. and hand oil .. no rust .. with good care these are a really good option for most people especially the new guitar player trying to turn the only guitar they got into a decent thing this will save you money on strings and sounds better.Ryan
