Acoustic Guitar Chorus Pedal For Sale (2024 Update)

Early days but, so far, I love it. I already have a Ditto Stereo, so I knew what to expect. This was really bought for the 'stop' and 'fade' functions for live performance, but I really like the ways that the two loop functions can be used together. Like said in a previous review, right out of the box there's a good chance this won't do much for you. Being able to use the TonePrint feature is vital to making this pedal sing, but once you find that one you need, you'll be in heaven. I play rhythm guitar in an alternative rock band that would basically sound cheesy with a chorus pedal, for the most part, but there is one song that needs the brightness and body offered by a chorus. The default chorus here is either too light or too heavy for my style, it's really impossible to dial in to my sound, but I started messing around with the TonePrints on the app. The first one that caught my ear was a reproduction of the Boss CE-2, and dang, the pure analog chorus sound was breathtaking. Airy if you want it to be, soaking wet if you want that too. The three knobs here on this pedal are really all you could want, and are perfect for dialing in just the right kind of effect to start with, then laying in how much of that effect you want to lay over your dry sound. I really liked the CE-2 copy sound, but I kept trying more TonePrints, and finally found the Brian May one. This was the ticket. Just transparent enough for me at almost any setting, and also brought along that brightness that Brian is known for. The TonePrint app allows me to keep both in my favorites to use at a moment's notice, but I have to say that I keep mine on the Brian May "Chorus1" Print almost all the time. There's so many different Prints though… there's the TriChorus available in a few different versions which is way too thick for what I want, but I imagine it would make a heavily distorted guitar sound really work in a chorusy way, plus tons of other artist Prints. If I found what I needed, I'm sure you can find what will work for you too. I stuck with the Mini just because if I had the full size Corona, I'd stay on the TonePrint switch all the time, which this pedal already basically does. In the past I had had a SCF+ Chorus, and that pedal is perfect. I sold it to a friend before I moved to the US and, because I was missing a chorus in my pedalboard (and I also liked the Flashback Delay), I decided to give Corona a try. I bought this pedal with a discount coupon plus some Backstage Points. Well, unfortunatelly, the Corona disappointed me. Ok, it's well built, it has a good cost-benefit ratio, the option for dual or tri-chorus makes a difference on the "detune" effect, and there are some Toneprint adjusts that can help you to shape your tone… but I think I set the bar too high, thinking that I would get different chorus/flanger/vibrato sounds on it. I wouldn't. I spent some time with the Toneprint Editor, trying to tweak Corona in order to discover new sounds. All the modulations have a similar sound, and the vibrato and flanger doesn't remember the SCF at all. I understand if Corona had offering all modulations in full mode, there would be no reason for other models (Shaker and Vortex), but even the chorus sounds aren't so diverse. You can use speed and depth, and there is a nice hi-pass filter, but if you think Toneprint has many different chorus sounds, maybe you should test that pedal before buying. Also, Corona delivers a specific medium-high frequency (not noticeable on the original SCF+) that shaped the tone a little bit, taking out some of the transparency I expected. TC could fix that EQ issue inserting a multi-band EQ inside the editor. Finishing, don't take me wrong: Corona is a nice pedal, maybe the best option among other chorus pedals with the same price. The technology within allows TC to improve user experience. But don't expect too much.Victor

This pedal has a delightful sound and works well with lots of guitar tones. I personally like it with distortion and fuzz. It's a very simple pedal that can create a variety of familiar sounds from popular music. I recommend it if you want a decent variety of chorus tones or are trying to mimic the sound of another musician.A-Aron

This pedal sounds awesome. Rate at zero with depth at max and you get a very subtle flange. You can do the leslie thing as well. But my favorite part is that it can be a bit of a boost. Put the rate and depth at zero, and mess with the low and hi cut. I know they seem to be cut only, but literally, it produces a boost that really gives some life to my dirt pedals. My fuzz pedal loves it (and needs it). This is in my all analog board.GuitarDude

I'm 66 so it's like going back into time. No scrolling; no digital micro print; just honest knobs. Matches the Mooer Black Truck I got, all analog (mostly) with a loop built in, so it's toggled from the BT. The Chorus is robust, ramping up the vol on the BT so I had headroom, if I needed it. A very wide palette of chorus sounds, and the one I use all the time is in there. Cool. I love analog. MXR all day long…..phfobric

This is the best piece of guitar equipment I have ever purchased. I have owned this pedal for nearly three years. Purchasing this pedal changed everything about the way I play guitar. I was really into indie rock at the time I got this pedal which basically meant this thing was like the holy grail. The MXR Analog Chorus is absolutely gorgeous in every single way. It looks stunning. It sounds amazing. It is so well-built. I have really beat this thing up over the years and somehow each scrape and dent makes it look a little better. It comes with 5 control knobs that are all super responsive and come together to make this a really versatile pedal. The knobs themselves have that excellent friction to them that makes adjusting your sound a genuine pleasure. There are chorus pedals out there at a higher price point, but none hold a candle to this. Not even close. This pedal is what made me fall in love with the art of playing the guitar. I have gone on to professionally record two records with this pedal. I am going to keep recording records with this pedal until I die, run out of money, or the one I have breaks and I replace it; and honestly, that last scenario is the least likely because this absolute tank is never breaking. If you're on the fence, get it.Danny

I use this on a bass pedal board to add dimension playing in worship team. It is compact, bulletproof and has great tone. One catch is, mine wouldn't play well with others on daisy chain. it had a fair bit of hum. given its own isolated output and power cord from the power supply cleaned this up entirely.steven

I went back to an all analogue amp after several years of using a digital amp, so I needed external effects. I tried a different brand of chorus, and had to exchanged it because it was defective. I opted for the Boss, which I know I should have done to begin with. I just can't seem to go wrong with Boss pedals…from power supply to durability and tone, Boss can't be beat!mde272

Boss pedals are built strong to last a lifetime. I also have the Boss CE 2 Chorus pedal which sounds great. It's been with me since the 80's and just like this CH 1 pedal, it still sounds great after all those years. I am retiring that pedal now and switching to this four knob pedal instead of just two. Both pedals sounds good and I love using them. The CE 2 is still my favorite Boss chorus pedal of all time. It now sits behind a glass window together with my other Boss vintage pedals.erwidelossanto_5

Unit worked great for about two months. Then, in the stereo mode (when splitting between two guitar amps) it developed a nasty bad ground issue making it unusable and would only work as a chorus unit with when plugged into one amp which was better than nothing, but not what I paid for! Musician's Friend would not exchange the unit as it was just out of the return date and they told me to send it to Rolland for repair. I paid to send it to Rolland and when they sent it back to me (saying it's fine – but did not test the unit split between two amps) and now the unit does not work at all and won't power up. After doing some research, I found that many other guitarists are have the same bad grounding issue that develops over time with this unit. NO I would not recommend this Boss Unit to anyone. If you do buy it, only do it with an extended warranty for sure!!! If anyone wants to buy a worthless hunk of blue metal, just let me know.JerryChiappettaJr

I have heard this Stereo Chorus in action. I wanted one for my own! Back-ordered.?.?.? Wait 3 months?.?.?. ok… I'll wait. It just came in and I have spent 2 glorious weeks finding out what it can do. With one amp (a Peavey Backstage Plus, 10", 35 watts) it sounds pretty good. Not quite as good as my Fender Princeton, 2X10" stereo chorus (I put in a baffle plate to help sonically isolate the 2 speakers…) Played stereo into 2 amps, Crate 35 watts, about 15 feet apart, feeding each one from the stereo outputs, it sounds lush, dreamy, swirly, and full of character. I mostly play ballads and love songs, nylon fingerstyle (think: Love Me Tender, In My life, Morning has Broken.. Side by Side, etc) This stereo chorus, on slow/moderate settings, is perfect to enhance a romantic feeling, without getting syrupy or seasick…. It was definitely worth the wait!!guitarpicker7

Don't buy this pedal. It's cheap, yes, but the quality is no good. First of all, it's made out of plastic. But there are bigger issues. With either of my Fendor Stratocasters, the thing distorts if I run standard-level sound through it. It's very distorted when the chorus is enabled. But even worse, only one of the two output channels actually has the chorus effect. The other output channel is a clean passthrough. The Level control is not stereo, so it only attenuates the output of the channel which has chorus, leaving the other channel at clean-passthrough level. Over-all, this thing is a piece of junk. It's not worth buying, at any price. If you own one, the best thing you can do is try to pawn it, or pitch it into the trashcan. You're much better off with something from Boss or Digitech. You can't buy cheap and expect to have good quality — you'll just end up wasting your money and your time. Life's too short. Just say "no".Ron

It won't be 1:1 compared to a Juno chorus but with some minor mods inside it's possible.The size and portability make this a really good option as a chorus in general but with the mods it's awesome. Looks cool too. I think that's a win.boddington

Got this to use on a homemade project…driving a Roland Ju-08 sound module via MIDI with an old Sequential Circuits Max synth with separate outputs for the two units. Put this June-60 on the Max output and WOW! What a difference! Went from sounding thin and puny to a lush, rich synth! Im definitely going to get another one!roosevelt1940

I've been looking for a phaser that has more controls than a simple speed/rate knob that I liked and could afford. I had a Mutron way back in the 70s that I sold in the 80s. I have never been able to find another I could afford so I settled for a 1 knob wonder because everyone thinks they are great. Unfortunately I didn't. The phase from the 1 knob wonder was way too drastic and created chaos in my tone. I got a gift card for GC recently and took a gamble on this phaser, but I'm glad I did. This pedal is fantastic. Very versatile, lots of adjustability, goes from subtle to over the top and everywhere in between, 2 different speeds can be set and switched between the two. I would highly recommend this phaser to anyone looking for more out of a phaser than just a rate or speed control.Robert K.

Overall: This pedal sounds great, it's nice having two chorus options. You can get lots of different sounds out of it. It's very clear sounding. I am satisfied with the sound. I also like the overall look of the pedal but i'm mixed on the lights on this thing.1. I do not like the green led. It is insanely bright. 2. I do like the led lights on the knobs, they're a nice blue color . You can turn them off but you won't because it is easier to see the knobs when the bright green led is lit. 3. Next to the sensitivity knob is an orange led that lights in response to playing speed.4. There are light green leds (normal brightness) that indicate which of the two chorus settings you are currently on and and one that blinks with the rate of the chorus setting you are currently on. Overall though, i like the pedal, i'm definitely keeping it. The sound is the most important thing and it sounds great. It's just a lot going on with the lights. All my other pedals just have a light indicate they're on. I may have to put tape over that green led.Paul

Don't let the small size fool you. This pedal sounds great and is built solid. I was hesitant the first time I saw Hotone pedals as they seem almost too small and potentially fragile. When you pick it up and feel the substantial weight, you will see that it should hold up well to constant use. The controls are standard to most chorus pedals and easy to dial in your tone. This is a great pedal for a cramped pedal board or for anyone looking for super portable effects.Maximus Bassimus

Tiny, tiny box of awesome. Despite it's funny looks (it IS tiny) there's nothing funny about how it sounds. It simply is a very good chorus pedal, going from subtle enhancement to full wibbly-wobbly madness, and for the price a real bargain. Only thing that's bugging me a little, is that it does brighten up the tone (but then again, that's a chorus thing that many others do as well) a bit – makes it a little harsh when playing at home alone. When playing with the band, I find that same added edge actually helps me to get heard_and_blend in, since I'm now occupying a frequency range that's not as crowded as many lower ones. Almost the features work great and let me get rid of one of my more expensive pedals. My only gripe is the octave is a little inconsistent when it wants to work. At times it can be pretty glitchy. Everything else is great though.hiemattwalk

The octave unit has a noticeable lag but works pretty well. The other features are solid. The unit it self is well built. Adjustment knives are small for on the fly gigging use but the lighted feature is nice. I would recommend for the money.amungus

The amp sounds great, Octavia is different as it is two lower Octaves, the Fuzz is more like an heavy overdrive. All in all, it is a good deal just for the amp.john_hunting_az

for the price you can't beat it. sounds great with my strat. the speed is a little limited in terms of range and the input jack is sticky on mine, but the sound is excellent.. if it really is handmade, it's an incredible deal. would recommend. thanks for the great pedal!iamacaula-6

I like the sound of my guitar live…
The likes stop there… the vocal processor is extremely subpar for a unit costing this much.
The looper, even with updated firmware, is way to short to use practically…I use my 75.00 dollar pedal with 3 hrs of loop time. The volume on mine does wonky things, starts out pretty good…then jumps loud…tried it in recording situation….good god no….sounds like a diesel truck… worth about 1/4 the cost….scott monthony

It has been really fun to try the different presets. The harmonies are very nice and clean. To my ear they sound great. I haven't played a gig with it yet….so we will see. There are some basic things that I wish i had known about the interface. Some fundamental orientation videos would be good. I had the most basic problem with not understanding that the buttons were so sensitive. It is almost comical! I would PRESS the button and nothing would happen! But i finally discovered just to TAP the button and everything worked fine. Seriously. Holding the button firmly down did nothing. Just tapping it though… .and it worked as it should. 🙂 Really weird to me! But overall, I think the guitar effects and voice are very good. i'll enjoy this thing I am sure.mhs9417

Having gone back and forth between digital / emulated effects and analog / practical effects, I decided to add a Small Clone to my pedalboard. If I had one complaint about the unit, it would be that it has a switch for two different depth settings instead of an adjustment pot. That said, when I plugged in I found that of the two settings available for depth there is one that suits me just fine. The pedal is very quiet, and does not color my tone in any way. True bypass is always an added benefit. Electro Harmonix builds these pedals to last, and I can’t see myself ever moving to another chorus pedal from this one. I’m in love. Rig – Fender USA strat with EMGs into a Peavey 6505 head / cabinet. The pedal adds great modulation to both clean tones and leads. BUY THIS.Nick in NH

The Small Clone gives an awesome chorus effect to your sound! I always wanted that full warm grunge sound and so I figured why not put that icing on that cake and get the gear the legend himself used. The quality build is crisp, the sound I'm getting is satisfying and the price is pocket/wallet friendly!! I must say that I'm far from disappointment! So, sit down or stand up which ever you prefer and know this is your chance of being that one step closer of making that 90's defining sound!!! A little something extra…. As a solo acoustic finger style player, I was looking for a very subtle effect to enhance instrumental parts. I've owned other choruses in the past, and was skeptical at its rather large size and single control knob–and only a depth switch. I was pleasantly surprised. I run depth on high, the control knob on low, and get a nice fat–but subtle-melodic sound from my Martin. I haven't experimented with it much, since I'm so pleased with this setting. Good value, well made-though perhaps rather 20th century style–and USA made. Just what I wanted for a slightly different sound to bounce between my vocal parts and instrumental/lead parts. The foot switch is loud, but not enough to affect my performance. All in all, very pleased.2 birds

I wasn't expecting much for the price-point but wow! The metal casing and metallic paint are very striking. I expected the dials and switches to be built to a price but they are super smooth and work well. It is small but it is solidly made and responds well with tubes or solid state. It cost a lot less then many others and comes with a warranty. (2 years I beleive) Controls are simple and direct with good control of volume and intensity. It will not be getting a whole lot of use because My band has given up the bar scene and are doing small concerts and private venues. I like it a lot and I hope it stands up way past thev warranty period.audeayo

The 3rd Dimension, though not stereo – is a serious contender to the Biss Dimension C, and at £30 – a gift! The 4 presets can be combined giving more lush sonic variety than the Boss equivalent. Placed after a delay or reverb pedal, the sound is huge and spacious.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Echoing the previous review, the presets have you good to go. I was looking for two specific sounds, and I found them both within minutes. Bypasses nicely, no hum or earthing (I'm running it with a battery, which I prefer over having adapters etc. cluttering the place up). Just what I wanted. Also a good Chorus pedal ought to look like it's about to transform into a Decepticon, and on that score they nailed the aesthetic.Daniel

Sounds great. I can't compare to the original or reissue except through online videos. It does what i hoped and sounds as close as i need it to sound for a third of the price. I don't run stereo and know very few people who do, so i think that criticism is a bit overblown. I also plan to use it for subtle bass thickening. I like it better than chorus for that purpose.The baron
