Reviews:
I have previously used TC Electronics tuners with which I have had no complaints. I was looking for a cheap alternative to prevent me from having to carry my usual rack of pedals for my acoustic guitar when I was only going to play bass at a gig. The Behringer fits the bill admirably. I've not experienced some of the difficulties some hard-to-please people have posted on Youtube – crikey some people are petty – and would have no hesitancy in recommending the tuner to anybody else. And the price makes it a winner. N.B. I've been a pro/semi-pro musician for over 50 years.Stephen W.
Ich took this tuner as my old Korg Tuner started slowly to send me goodbye messages. After using it for several days the Korg is not used anymore. I don't see any dissadvanteges of this device – the differences to overpriced tuners of other companies are synthetic. I simply have not had any problems with Behringer devices at all. Price / Quality ratio at its best.
This tuner pedal works almost same like Boss TU-3 tuner pedal. I bought it based on YouTube reviews, found it really good. The review says it has got very bright power indicator LED which blinds to see the tuner LED's. But the pedal I received didn't have this problem, I think Behringer guys rectified this in the new production batches. This pedal is bit slow in responding (which I can live with) but gives accurate tuning. I took this pedal to quite a few gigs, it has never failed me (I bought it in Jan-15). Now this sits on my Bass guitarist's pedal-board, and he takes it to every gig we go, has never failed him too (he has got a 4-string Ibanez SR-300 bass). Overall nice tuner pedal for the bucks I paid. Pros- Accurate tuning Bright LED for better visibility Cons- Plastic casing (if you want to use it roughly..) Works only with external power supply.Abhijit D.

Reviews:
Just received this and compared it to two different Snark clip ons and two other brands. All were tried on 2 acoustic guitars, 3 different brands of electric guitars, and both acoustic and electric basses. The Korg tuner was by far, the most accurate of the clip on tuners on all six instruments used for testing.More than any other part of the tests I performed, that alone speaks volumes. There are several additional features that are bonuses that give this Korg tuner extra value, in my opinion. First, you have options of full and half displays of strobe tuning. This can be a tremendous value when you have to intonate a guitar or bass. Second, this tuner uses AAA batteries vs. NiCad batteries, which means each battery is less expensive, and replacements are easily accessible from multiple sources. Third, the tuner has an automatic shutoff after 3 minutes of non-use. This is a huge battery life saver that most other tuners in this price range do not offer. Overall, a great value packed into a small clip on tuner. Well done, Korg.Tom T
I love that it uses one "AAA" battery, it clamps on nice and secure, and is very adjustable and easy to read. But, I find that it is so jumpy, (all over the place jumpy), that it's actually kind of frustrating to use. In the quiet of night, outside with just me and my acoustic guitar, it's jumping all over the place. So, it's not any noise interference, but apparently just the way it works. It would probably be fine for a lot of folks, but I've had tuners that are steady as a rock, no matter how noisy the environment. I've also had tuners that act like this one in a noisy environment. This one is jumpy even when it's quiet. If not for that, it would easily be a five star rating from me.Ray
I bought this to use for my electric guitar during jam sessions. I've tuned my guitar, played a few licks, then checked the tuning again and it'll be way off. Some strings are too sharp, others are too flat. I can't find the consistency with this thing. I've compared it to other digital tuners as well as my analog tuner, 2 phone apps, and Logic Pro's built-in tuner. This tuner's results are mostly different than the others. Sometimes it'll be spot on, but I wouldn't trust it for recording in perfect tone.Lance M

Literally took this thing out of the package. Clipped it on the guitar neck and started with the 6th string. Strum the string and the Note displays. If its the wrong note, simply tighten or loosen the guitar string till the note shows and its solid blue. Color display is easy to use and shows if your going the wrong way or getting close to being on time. Buy it and stop wondering and use it.rogerpk
I tried to use this product several times for acoustic guitar tuning. It is not accurate enough for me. The display was not clear enough. I've played Fender guitars for years and have used this type of tuner for 1 year or more. I much prefer Snark tuners. The Fender tuner was not precise enough in tuning. I would have to use the Snark tuner to more finely tune my guitar. The display was also not that bright. I could not discern when proper pitch was reached.duxr9870

Reviews:
The Cool Waves D'Addario Eclipse Tuner is the best tuner I ever seen. The color display is very bright, easy to read and allows for easy calibration. The display itself is surrounded by a red rubber edging, similar to a rubber cell phone cover. It is attached to a heavy duty plastic clip by a "hinge". Where the display attaches to the "hinge", it can rotate 360 degrees. Where the hinge is attached to the clip, it can also turn rotate 360 degrees. The hinge itself can be opened almost 180 degrees. So you can basically move the display into any angle you wish. The attachment clip is very sturdy, easy to grip, and has a rubber cushion its ends to keep it from scratching your instrument. The only negative I have is, that although it has basic instructions, it does not come with detailed instructions, or a link where someone could find detailed instructions, for beginners or those not familiar with the usage of electronic tuners. Overall, The Cool Waves D'Addario Eclipse Tuner is the best tuner I have owned. Bright display, very sturdy, easy to use, with limitless viewing angles. If you have a stringed instrument, I highly recommend this tuner!SheShopsSales
We love this D'Addario Eclipse tuner! It's easy and gentle to clip on. Very easy to use, and easy to read as well even in low-light areas. It came with a battery too! It uses a CR2032 button-style battery when the time comes to replace it. It has a nice colored and easy to read display, and is very no-frills. It is chromatic and calibrates from 435 to 450Hz, works with both our electric and acoustic guitar. It's actually very accurate, and works quickly too. It makes it easy to know when the guitar is in tune. It shows lights that guide you to the correct tuning and shows the note for the string you're tuning. It seems to be made well and it's a good brand name as well. It's reasonably priced and works just as well as the more expensive brands we've had in the past. It will work on all stringed instruments and comes in other colors too. One other nice feature is that after attaching it to the headstock, you can swivel it in many directions so you can view it easily. We really like this, and it's also a nice gift idea if you know someone who plays a stringed instrument. A few of us, including me, in the family play guitar and we all really like it!Kedst123
I've never had a tuner before, I was using an app on my smart phone which was good when it picked up the audio but wasn't ideal for a bass guitar. So I finally decided to look into cheap yet reliable tuners. I found this, loved the look, checked out YouTube reviews and decided yeah it's worth the gamble, can't be worse than the app on my phone! Obviously I've heard of the brand D'addario so I knew quality wasn't going to be an issue. When it arrived I restrung my bass (I purchased new strings too) I was VERY impressed how this picks up and how quick it changes depending on me tuning the peg. It instantly made the app on my phone seem as junk as it was. So so very happy with the price, the product and its performance. Even if it were to break or die, I'd replace it with another one for sure. Very impressed for its priceLuke B.

Reviews:
I tried both Korg CA-40 and OT-120. They both have one weakness that you need to purchase a microphone to pick up the input sound especially in the range of c6 and above. Between OT-120 and CA-40. I would prefer CA-40. The digital readout is easy and the number readout give an indication of how close you are. It appears more accurate than OT-120. Initially, I thought OT-120 is more expensive and it might be more powerful or more accurate or more something. After tested it, I found the ability of accuracy is equal. A microphone to pick up the sound for the equipment is essential.howardchu
No mention in the printed instructions about how to use common equal temperament. I understood after some hesitation that there is simply NO display in the right upper part of the screen when equal temperament is used. The NIL DISPLAY is bound to be the default setting, but nothing says it. It would only take an extra line in the printed instructions to specify that the absence of display in that area means that the device is set to equal temperament. At first sight, this is not at all obvious, and less experienced users might accidentally choose TRANS or worse a historical tuning, instead of the modern equal temperament as we commonly know it, for example in piano tuning. But the device is very useful, sophisticated and wonderfully precise, congratulations to Korg ! well done !Jean-Pierre
This tuner may have full Orchestral range, but it is not an effective tuner for pianos. The built-in mic does not work well in picking up the notes of the low register piano keys. Plus the high frequencies of the piano keys do not ring out long enough for this tuner to recognize the note. The tuner itself is good quality, but not for pianos. For pianos, you're better off buying a tuner designed specifically to work with a piano. My star rating is solely based on piano usage.Gilbert

Call me old school but while I love sll the technical advances in music and recording, I love walking into Sam Ash and speaking with knowledgeable experts about them rather than relying on iTunes videos. It's a real "plus" and most products cost the same or even less in the store. I always learn something when I walk in there, and it's not time-wasting "work" like trying to figure things out online.JS
This tuner does everything it's supposed to, and it does it very simply. The extra bells and whistles are nice, but of course the most important feature is the tuning itself, and it responds quickly, has very accurate readings, and the battery life is immense. I don't think I've ever had to replace a snark battery before. I only subtract one star from this review because as an electric bass player, the snark struggles with my 5-string picking up the low B string. I often have to strike the string several times, far harder than normal, in order for the tuner to pick it up. This extra time can be a detriment when tuning up or down mid-set for key purposes and similar situations. #sweepstakesMICHAEL
Pop it on and tune on the fly. You can use it and remove it or just leave it on. I get pretty rowdy playin and have never had one (yes I have multiple snarks) fly off yet. Also I have never noticed a sour note after tuning and the tuner has a clear indicator so your not taking excess time to get up and running. As far as my service at Sam Ash, I feel a fool fo having gone to the other CENTER for years when there is a awsome group of people right in the same building that actually act like they are happy to see you and will go out of their way to make sure you have exactly what your looking for or need. Sometimes your not sure what that is but they did. Thanks guys and dolls.😁🤟🤟🤟BRIAN

Excellent tuners Grover quality – fast servicejf-2112
keeps my 12 string stay in tunemikegreeley2001
Grover's Rotomatic machine heads are superbly-designed to do one job and do it well – precisely adjust the tuning of guitar strings, and keep them where you put them. These 205C12's are no exception to the rule. I had my luthier install them on my Danelectro Classic 12-string (along with a custom bone nut), and the difference those two mods made to the tunability and sustain of my guitar is compelling. The original, factory Danelectro tuners are chrome-plated, pot-metal crap. They slip contantly. The Grovers, by contrast, stay EXACTLY where I put them. My guitar stays in tune, and adjusting it (for changing humidity and temperature) is quick, easy, and painless. I sure can't say the same for my Dano's factory equipment. Now, admittedly, a lot of the improvement is due to the new, bespoke bone nut. All Danelectro guitars ship with an aluminum nut that is an incredible obstacle to tuning, because of sticktion between the metal strings and the metal nut. (Aluminum, in particular, is a terrible choice for this application, because, like titanium, it galls in metal-on-metal contact applications – which is to say that the two metals tear microscopic chunks out of one another at their point of mutual contact.) The standard, aluminum nut also almost guarantees that you WILL break strings at the nut. The custom bone nut completely eliminates both issues. The Grover tuners add the bonus that the strings stay where you put 'em, once they stretch out. And the 205C12's are RESPONSIVE. Turning them either direction immediately and smoothly changes your strings' tuning. With a 14-1 gear ratio, you can tune VERY precisely. The 205C12's (and their nickel-platec cousins the 205N12's) feature minii buttons, so there's enough room between them to keep you from accidentally knocking a neighboring string out of tune while you're adjusting them. I can't recommend this product highly enough. If you're not sure whether they're going to be an improvement over your guitar's factory tuners, I'm here to tell you that you needn't worry. These are a great upgrade for your axe, and they'll help you fall in love with your guitar all over again.thomst

Reviews:
From my experience in piano tuning, and my customers 100% satisfaction, I have to say it is worth it to buy this unit. I have been tuning pianos for 10 years and mostly by ear, spending more time counting beats than making money. This cuts out the time of "guessing" at times when your ear just is on the frits that day, or close to the end of tuning when your ear is "stretched" from listening to so many tones during a pitch raise, or on different pianos in one day. This simply makes it faster and easier to do accurate tunings quickly. I have tested this unit against my ear and other tuning units, and this is very accurate. I use this as well as the ear for precise and accurate, perfect tunings that sound incredible. Any electronic unit has to be accompanied by your ear, so this is mainly a guide, but a pretty darn accurate guide at that. Each piano and instrument has it's harmonic properties, so this in combination with your knowledge of those peripherals will help you be much more accurate at a faster rate than the ear alone. If you don't have time to waste, and want an accurate tuning, use this unit. It is easy to use with manual as well as automatic. I don't particularly trust anything automatic when it comes to tone, especially on a piano, which is what i use it for. Therefore I always use manual mode to eliminate any question of overtones eminating that can cause frequency drift. With it in manual mode, I am able to know that it is looking for that particular tone, and nothing more. The push buttons are easy and large enough to read, instead of paging thourgh menus, like some software tuning devices that are only as acurate as the microphone you are using, as well as your computers sound card's ability to acurately recognize correct tone. The handle is moveable to all directions and locks into position at your desired location making it easy to read and position on top of an upright or on the frame of a grand. The feet are rubber, making it nice to put anywhere without it slipping. The unit itself it lightweight, and easy to get around. The menus are easy to access and get around in. I would say the quality is very good, but lacks a modern feel. This is only cosmetic, and would probably take awy from the stability of the unit if it were shaped differently. With this shape and design, it is small enough to sit on top of an upright comfortably, and flat, where others would probably slip off. No computer will ever do that, so they must have been thinking ahead. The strobe window could be a bit better I think, maybe larger as to be able to see better from a distance. Maybe a larger extruded window of sort? The overall quality is solid and dependable. With the panel buttons below the flat face plate, you don't have dirt or any other debri getting into the unit and ruining it, as well as spills. But I never tried the spills, so don't quote me on that, but it will protect the buttons for the occasional "splash" is something would get splashed on it, not to mention sweaty hands. Simply wipe off with damp paper towel, and POOF! Like new! This unit is worth every penny I spent on it. There are other units that are made by different manufacturers that claim to be more accurate, and are much more money, but the same thing, and are less user friendly. If you find me ANY musician, technician, or anyone that can hear frequency differences of +/- .1 cents by ear, I will also sell you this bridge I know of in New York. This unit CAN provide that accuracy, so don't let the higher priced, RPT affiliate manufacturers fool you into believing you can't live without spending 2-3 times the price, because they are full of something brown. This unit has made me a lot of money, and paid for itself after just a few tunings.Camelot Productions
The Peterson T490 is a fantastic strobe tuner, and it's an indispensable part of my shop. The only downside is that I prefer to turn off the "auto-note select" feature, but sometimes the buttons are a bit insensitive. The first few times I used this, I almost began tuning my E string to a B note strobe because I didn't press the E button hard enough. With all that in mind, this tuner is a bit more than what an average musician needs. If an average musician wants strobe accuracy in their bedroom, a digital strobe tuner can be had for less than half the price. However, if you need the "true" response of a non-digital strobe tuner, you really can't go wrong with this, provided that you can afford it. It's a solid unit, and stunningly accurate.NoMeDigas-t1Ixw
This tuner is the best on the market. I just got one for piano tuning, but plan to get the 490ST in the future. They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. These are worth every bit of the money. They make it so easy to tune different instruments, especially piano by having all the octaves on the same screen! I use it in my studio, and it's invaluable for accuracy with tuning analog instruments with midi instruments. You just can't get more accurate than this! I use the front buttons for my temperament, and then I can use the octaves off those to tune the piano which shows everything right on the screen! I just love this, and so will you. You'll never need another tuner again!Paul

good for the price, but not perfect. while you chose your instrument guitar bass etc. it is too easy make a mistake pushing the wrong button, when you chose guitar and maybe pushing the wrong thing, your A string become easlly A flat.. you do'nt want this in a gig when you are worried for so many things already!usdave77
This tuner is very easy to use. The arrows either side of the required note indicate whether a particular string is sharp or flat. They decrease in number, the nearer you get to the required note or increase if you're going in the wrong direction; the screen turns from orange to green when the correct note is reached. This is great for beginners but also very useful for experienced players when tuning in noisy surroundings. I was also impressed by DJM's service. I ordered just a few days before Christmas as my grandson had belatedly told me he wanted to learn the ukulele and I did not expect delivery before Christmas. I paid for "Standard" delivery. The tuner arrived by first class on Christmas Eve so I was well pleased. This is not the first time I have used DJM. They have not disappointed me yet and I recommend their service.

Reviews:
Nice little Korg tuner that sits unobtrusively in the sound hole but easily visible to the player. The coloured LEDs are easy to read and intuitive. The on/off switch keeps it discrete when not in use. It's easy to fit or remove and I didn't need to remove the strings. The mounting clips are rubber with spring metal behind so its very unlikely to damage the guitar. It feels well made. I've used it on my Gibson J185 which is fitted with the Braggs pick up so the electrics are minimal. It's quick to use and seems pretty accurate. I'm pleased with it and certainly prefer it to headstock mounted tuners. It's a professional piece of kit that I would be happy to recommend for any gigging musician.oceans747
Firstly, I hate giving negative reviews as sometimes it can be a one off problem. However, this item promises much but delivers very little. I should have read the reviews of others before buying this. The idea is a good one but that is where it ends. The construction of this tuner is flimsy to say the least. Mine did not even have a chance to fall apart as the pieces fell out of the box as I opened it. Those responsible for design have relied on metal clips and little tags of thin rubber to hold it together. Not a good combination. When I had put it together again it was necessary to insert the clips into the rubber which goes into the sound hole. But, the rubber is insufficient to cover the clips and the danger of scratching your beloved instrument is a real worry. However, I persisted and I joined the ranks of others who have reviewed it and have watched it fall off into the sound hole of my guitar at the first attempt to use it. It is not the fault of the seller so I think it unfair to return it. However, I am determined to use this at least for a while so I am off to buy a large tube of superglue to keep it intact. I hope this helps.musicventura27
I ordered this along with a Martin DSS-17. It's fairly easy attach inside the soundhole…but keep in mind it's a "2 hand" job. The battery is a different size than most tuners but I don't anticipate it being difficult to find at replacement time. For me, it's in the perfect position to easily see while performing. It's sensitive and catches the note and identifies the played string quickly either picked or chimed at the 12th fret. I'd have to say at this point I have no complaints or find any faults.Allen
