Great little acoustic. Looks good with the gloss finish has a lovely rosette. The cutaway is handy for higher fret access. Not a booming guitar but its not made for that. A nice fit for those who prefer a small bodied guitar. Is capable of heavy strumming if u wish and good for finger style.Gazza

Reviews:
Wasn't expecting this. This guitar didn't need any setup. The neck has slight relief out of the box and the action is perfect, really low without any buzzing. The frets look and feel nice, no filing or polishing needed. The neck has a satin finish making it easier to run up and down the fretboard. The body has a glossy finish which looks great, no orange peel. The tuners are 18:1 ratio which is nice for fine tuning. They aren't stamped Grover but seem to be good quality. I think the strings are D'Addario EJ16. The nut and saddle are PPS while the bridge pins are cheap plastic. It measures 40" long, 4-1/8" thick at the bottom, and 15-1/8" wide. The back, sides, and neck are sapele which is in the mahogany family, and a solid spruce top. Since tone is subjective, I won't go into detail, but it sounds great. No regrets with this one.Ricky
I ordered this for my first true OM guitar. For the price I didn't expect much. I am blown away. Plays like a Martin OM I just tried out, stunning piece of spruce for the solid top and beautiful sapele/mahogany b/s. This thing is resonant and punches 10x above its weight class!Justin
I didn't see any reviews on this SigOOO so figured I would let it be known it's nice little affordable option. I used to have a Martin entry level OOO and this thing looks much better than the Martin. It actually looks exactly like a Martin w/ the nice gloss finish. Sound wise I think it's comparable to an entry level Martin. The nice bottom end surprised me the highs and mids are all there it's sounds nice. The neck on this thing is better for me, I'm a thumb over guy and the neck is electric guitar like to me.. nice. The one I got came w/ a little blem on the top but this one is set up so well and sounds so good I think I'll just live w/ it. Overall it's a nice guitar for what it is, I'd say comparable w/ all the 400-500$ acoustics. It's a Indonesia build too, for those that are curious. The Indonesian plants usually do a pretty good job I find. Not as many fret or glue problems. So change over to tusk or bone, new bridge pins and you have a nice little guitar👍🏻👋🏼B

Reviews:
Having relatively recently started learning guitar on an electric stratocaster-style guitar this was a great transition to the acoustic segment. The thinner body makes it much more comfortable to play than say a dreadnought and the neck is comfortable to transition too, yet the guitar doesn't seem to sacrifice as much sound as you'd expect from a thinner guitar. The finish of the guitar is that of a more expensive guitar for example the rosewood finger board. On arrival I actually thought the guitar looked better than the pictures on the website suggest but do note that because of the finish it is prone to showing finger marks which would need cleaning time to time. I would highly recommend this guitar.Richard P.
After suffering a permanent back injury I could no longer play my elictric guitar as it was too heavy or my acoustic electric guitar because it felt like it was twice it's normal size because I could no longer find a comfortable position for myself to play it. I bought a keyboard thinking that I could still play music. Afterv two weeks of playing around with the keyboard I gave up pllaying. Then I saw on the internet one night an advertisement for a 3/4 size Yamaha acoustic electric guitar guitar with a slimline bosy which looked like a nice guitar so I checked out males and females playing it and sounded very nice so I bought one. Man am I'm so glad I did. I got the sunburst like this one on sale. I was excited as l took it out of the box and went straight to my mancave and started playing it. It was perfecty in tune and for a guitar of this size it's got such a beautiful tone playing ACOUSTIC. So I plugged it in and it's as good as it sounded on YouTube. As an 67 yesr old man who started playing guitar when I was 16 years old, this is a beauty. I recommend this guitar to beginners, anyone with small hands and even people who want a good guitar to take with them without taking up much space in your car. Yep, it's a beaty.Deano
The only thing I'm not entirely happy with is the action. It's just a little too high. Other than that, I love it. It's a very nice looking acoustic for the money. It stays in tune extremely well and I was shocked at how full the sound was even with such a thin body. Sounds even better plugged in. The thinner body is super comfortable to handle and hold. It makes the transition from electric to acoustic very easy. The built in tuner is one of my favorite features. It works great and seems to be as accurate as any other tuner I've ever used. Overall, I would recommend this acoustic to anyone on a budget looking for a great sounding and feeling acoustic who doesn't mind the action a little on the higher side. (Side Note – I might be too critical on the action since I'm used to my electrics set up for such low action.)

Reviews:
got this one as a gift so I can't rate value for money ratio 🙂 it does sound fantastic, very rich in all tone ranges. The preamp is very good too, transfers all the frequencies very well. But, you'd probably expect no less from Martin. What's a little odd, is the material used for construction, to what I reckon its all compressed wood / laminate combination, which appears strange at first, but does the job very, very well. You get a piece of gear you can take outside not taking care this much about dryness, humidity, or weather conditions. The "CASH" theme is allover the instrument and gigbag, which is a very nice feature. All is top quality, and looks solid. Would I buy it with my own money? YES 🙂
This is a great Martin that doesn’t break the bank! The finish and Cash details make this guitar standout anywhere from a living room session to a gig. The Fishman pickup makes this guitar sound great plugged in and it has that Martin warmth that fills a room playing acoustic only. The laminate makeup holds up great in moisture and the added Cash gig bag is a plus for sure. If your like me and are looking for a Martin that stands up to it’s name and keeps you within your budget this is the guitar for you. I’ve gotten nothing but compliments while playing for both the sound and look! Truly is a great guitar for warmth, resonance, and tone and the strings that come standard are pretty great too!Ross B
I wanted one of these since they came out. I finally got one & I am a bit disappointed in it. It plays well & intonates fine, but the description is misleading. The specs say it has a gloss finish & shows a whit trim around the body. It has no trim at all & the finish is a very dull black which makes it look "cheap." There isn't much 'unplugged' volume, but it sounds great plugged. Action is a little higher than I like & there was no truss rod wrench with it. I'll probably keep it because Johnny Cash was my all time favorite entertainer. I'm suprised Martin & Co, didn't take more pride in this particular instrument.picker 49

Reviews:
I bought this guitar from a local shop strictly as a worship instrument for Sunday mornings. It absolutely destroyed every other guitar at the music shop +/- 500 in either direction. I still hold that it is likely the best guitar in its price range for the quality of its construction and sound quality. There is virtually not a single flaw this instrument possesses… But can we talk about the electronics? The guitar is super odd… I mean, if you are odd too, it is probably your dream guitar. It has a poor-man's tone wood amp build in. When you turn it on, it runs 90's sounding special effects out the soundhole, which is pretty cool. Here is the problem, the controls are super minimal. So minimal that you can't tell whether this bad boy is on or off. We found out the hard way that when this guitar is plugged in, the battery is always draining, even when the sound system is off. This is not atypical, but it gets weirder. The guitar won't turn off when plugged in, but sometimes needs to be turned on (?) when the batteries are dying. There is no indicator to tell you when it is running low on power, so you might find out on stage halfway through Glorious Day. There is actually no indicator for anything electric on this guitar, except for a sliding piece of plastic that sits under the dials that might be useful if it didn't look like you were supposed to cut it out and throw it away. The whole control setup is just annoying and unnecessarily vague. Long story short, with an electronics upgrade, this guitar would be unbeatable. It has more power than it deserves, almost like the guys a Yamaha are professionally sound-profiling the tops, which is something you would expect only on guitars above the 2000 range.Benjo
Where to start with this… Out of the box, once tuned the guitar feels like a quality product. The fitted Elixir strings (I'm guessing a 0.12 brass or bronze set) give the guitar a very bright, clear tone, exactly what I wanted. It is a bright sounding instrument, so others may want to experiment with other string sets. The action is good and low, although compared to the guitar I was playing the fretboard is very flat, not much of a camber at all, a minor complaint which may not apply to everyone and I got used to it quickly. The neck itself is comfortable with a slightly matte finish which I find aids playability, somehow. The design is conservative with small inlays and a transparent scratchplate; I may replace the scratchplate with something more interesting one day but not while it's so new. All in all, a great, solid instrument for its price bracket. Oh yeah, it's also got this on board soucery which applies reverb and chorus through the body of the guitar. These effects are awesome but their real benefit is to make you want to play for longer, simply because you sound better. These effects also apply to the line out; this is also a fully-fledged electro-acoustic. The only drawback here is that the preamp lacks any kind of equaliser, but who cares about that when any amp or sound desk has these functions? That all makes this guitar an all-rounder. A solid acoustic instrument with on board tricks for busking or practicing (your buddies will be jealous if you're having an unplugged jam on the beach, too) as well as being the electro-acoustic you want if you're gigging. I swear, I am not being paid by Yamaha. Check it out on YouTube – some great demos of this guitar on there.Adam W.
What a great guitar! Really beautiful finish all glossy but the neck is as smooth as silk I don't know what they use but it's so nice to play. The guitar sounds very well rounded with a little extra in the low end. So the Reverb and Chorus sounds with a touch of a button are ultra cool, kinda like surround sound. You get used to it real quick very inspirational. Yamaha really went above and beyond on this one. With or without the electronics this is a great sounding instrument but with a trick like that I'm using it. Plugged in sounds amazing! There's no bass or treble knobs? So the EQ they give you is what you get really nice bass response though and the highs are very clear, I was impressed. Just an absolute joy to play.

Reviews:
Outstanding value in this Ibanez guitar. First off, it's beautiful to look at it. Blue or the black, you can't go wrong. They are both attractive (I bought the black one). Neck is smooth as butter. Sounds great plugged into my little Blackstar amp and just as good unplugged. The gear seems like something you'd find on a higher priced guitar. The tuners and EQ are top notch. Really couldn't be happier with the guitar, the price and the service from AMS. They promised 2 day shipping and they delivered.Eric
Sound: I changed the settings as I always do when purchasing a guitar, and if course had to retune until the string memory was suffice. I haven't had to retune it since (after 3 weeks … Of course some minor tuning was needed). The eq helped get more low end that I desired. Features: I like the truss rod feature, I changed the tuners to some more appealing Gibson deluxe tuners. The frets needed a little filing but minor tweaks and adjustments are almost always necessary to obtain desired playability. Most (inexperienced) People want straight out of the box perfection, I suggest bringing any new guitar to someone that knows what they're doing and tell them what you want. My brother worked for Gibson custom shop as a guitar tech and let me know that most companies rely on quantity and not so much perfecting every guitar as everyone's idea of perfect is different.
Just as I thought it would be thanks.Andrew

13. Sigma 1 Series Gmc-1e With Electronics Natural
Product Details:
In the late 1960s the situation for us guitar manufacturers became difficult: guitars that were made in japan, looking very similar to us guitars, were flooding the market but at a much lower price. these guitars increasingly endangered the us manufacturers dominance on the market, and a few american companies reacted to that development in an appropriate manner: they did not take any legal steps but instead launched a counter offensive. that's when 'sigma guitars' was born.

I like it and hope my fingers toughen up hahahaReviewed by guitarguitar custome

Reviews:
Sound: It sounds like a Martin acoustic guitar. Maybe it doesn't have quite the oomph of a D18 or D28 but this thing will fill a room and no one will have any doubt that someone brought a Martin to the game. Features: The most useful feature is the Sitka Spruce top, Ziricote back and sides, X bracing, and everything else that makes up the sound engine of this guitar. I can't think of anything least about it. Ease of Use: How to get great sound. That's easy. Strum it one time. You'll be convinced. Quality: It's a Martin. Of course it's well made. The Road series is made in Mexico but the quality of this guitar will stand up to anything built here in the US of similar materials. Value: You could charge $2K for this guitar and get away with it. The price is a steal. Manufacturer Support: Never have had to deal with support of any kind. It worked right out of the case. Perfect intonation and it was even really close to being in tune. The Wow Factor: The appeal of this instrument is the sound. It has a plain square Martin headstock. The top is exactly like every other Martin made of Sitka spruce. The back and sides are a beautiful dark ziricote (admittedly a laminate, this is not a D28) but looking at this guitar, even if you couldn't hear it but you knew anything about guitars, you would be impressed with the sound 🙂 Overall: I have owned several expensive guitars in my life. One, from another manufacturer cost nearly $3000. Nothing I have owned even comes close to the sound of this. Completely acoustic it fills a room. It does exactly what Martin designed the dreadnought to do. This guitar walks into a room and says, "I'm here" in no uncertain terms. If you need a professional quality guitar but don't have $4000 to spend on a D28 then you could do no better. I love this guitar and I will put it's sound up against anything I have heard from any builder.Regan
I have been playing guitar for over 20 years, but lean towards playing electrics over acoustics. However, I wanted a reliable acoustic that sounded and played great without paying thousands of $$ for a US made Martin, Taylor, Gibson, etc. The Martin D13E seemed to fit the bill, but I couldn't find one near me so I went ahead and ordered one online. I was very pleasantly surprised by this guitar when it arrived. It sounds amazing, full and rich like you'd expect from a Martin dreadnought. I compared this to a comparably priced Taylor 214ce Dlx and the much preferred the Martin. Aesthetically, I'd give the Taylor an edge because it has a real ebony finger board and bridge (the D13E has Richlite) and a rosewood(?) overlay on the headstock (D13 has some sort of laminate over the headstock with a printed wood pattern). The Taylor also comes with a case. However, I find the D13E to have a much richer sound, possibly due to the all solid wood construction, and also better playability. These matter to me much more than aesthetics. The only real drawback for me is that it didn't come with a hardshell case. However, considering the price and the fact that it is all solid wood, I can't complain. I would recommend the guitar highly for intermediate players or professional musicians that want a workhorse guitar without having to risk bringing a $3000 guitar to gigs.Nate
Don't be concerned that this guitar is made outside of the USA. The Mexico factory has been up and running for a long time ,and it has the Martin standard of quality. . This is a solid wood guitar with a great sound. I walked into the store looking for something else. When I spotted it on the wall I decided to give it a go. A couple of strums and I was convinced. Love this guitar.Chuck

Reviews:
There are hundreds of reviews on this guitar, of course some good and some bad. The good reviews (4-5 stars) far out number the rest. Although I’ve read some really, really bad ones. I suppose every guitar maker churns out a turd on occasion when mass producing affordable beginner (read inexpensive) guitars.
I can only tell you about my particular guitar.
It is fantastic, it’s beautiful, sounds amazing (plugged in and acoustic), plays amazingly well, stays in tune, the tuners are smooth and work as you would expect on a much more expensive guitar. The neck is perfect, the action is great (Martin MA540 Authentic Acoustic Light strings 0.054-0.012). I haven’t a single complaint I can’t say whether the quality has gone up or down in the last few years. Mine is an earlier production model about 10 years old. They’re relatively common , You can find a nice used one locally in most cities for under $150. That way you can play and give it a thorough inspection before you buy it. Check your local Guitar Center, try it, return it if you don’t like it, my bet is you will love it.Larry Daniels

I usually don't leave negative reviews. This guitar is beautiful, it sounds amazing. However, I just can't believe that guitar center would let this be shipped. The neck seems fine but every fret divider is razor sharp. It's so uncomfortable that I have quit playing it. Living in a small town it's very expensive to return stuff, so I guess it will just sit for now. To guitar centers credit, I have shopped there for many years and never been disappointed. But gee guys, why wouldn't you be checking this stuff? If I picked it off your wall I would never buy it unless you fixed it for me. Sorry but this sucksJohn
Tried out two of these at the local store looking for a first guitar for my son. Both sounded pretty good for the price point, but both had problems with the neck and really terrible frets. Terrible like not safe for children or unsuspecting adults – they both had sharp edges sticking out the whole length of the neck. Between that, some minor string buzz, a crazy high 9th fret on one, and iffy intonation on the other, it just didn't seem worth getting either of them. What's the point of getting a low priced guitar if you have to spend $100+ getting it worked over to make it playable? I suspect that the neck binding makes it difficult for the factory to really get the frets properly dressed and still pass cosmetic inspection. It may be I just had the bad luck to find the two worst examples of this model in the same store, but I suggest you move up notch in price range and you will be happier with what you get.triple.ratrider
