I bought it for the green color, but luckily it is actually a lighter teal green. This can be a great guitar with some adjustment work. I used it as a mod platform and converted it to HSH style. Full saga outlined in video on my youtube channel called 2bikemike. I named it Oscar. I am very happy I found this deal. PROS: Very beautiful. The tuners are decent and work well. Neck and body finish excellent. Vintage color on neck matches very nicely. Bridge and saddles work well. Came screwed tight so whammy didn't work, but it was adjustable to preference. Bridge pickup had good output measuring approx. 7.5k ohms. Whammy screwed in nicely. CONS: 11 frets needed levelling. Must have been in storage long time. Frets had light corrosion as all budget guitars have. That was corrected as part of recrowning and polishing work. Plastic nut was nice looking and worked ok (but cut to high for proper action hight at 1st fret) since I prefer bone I replaced it. Neck tag said "USA MADE" but every part is Chinese. That said though the build was very nice Middle and neck pickups very low output sounding weak compared to bridge, measuring approx. 5.6k ohms both. I rated ease of use as fair based on out of the box condition. After my work, it is excellent. If you are handy to perform some maintenence on your own guitars, then this is a good deal for you.2bikemike

Very greatly built guitar and exceeds it's value. Shipped extremely carefully in other words packed very well. Cam with D'adrio strings played right out of the box . Neck is very nice maple with rosewood fret. Smoother finish with no fret sprout whatsoever. The tuners work very well stayed in tune. String through back. Not a single flaw in the finish . This guitar was affordable. I shaved off 2mm from the bridge to make it closer to the height I'm used to. It plays easy, it sounds good and it looks great. My Alvarez sounds better only because it is bigger. This is one solid guitar. I will have another one. This guitar recently just got a bone nut installed and it sounds and plays amazingly well now. photos will be updated soon. but there are no more tuning issues with this upgraded nut. if you re looking for a 335 at half the price of what you would pay for epiphone, and a tenth of the price of what you would pay for a gibson, then this washburn is going to be exactly what you re looking for. the pickups in this guitar are smooth, creamy, and clear. the 24.75 scale length neck is extremely comfortable to play, and the thickness of the neck is really unbeatable. it s so comfortable to play! you ll look and sound just like b.b. or mayer. if you re looking for more of the dave grohl or tom delonge type of thing, this is going to be perfect for you as well. 24.75 bolt on neck 18:1 grover tuners 2 volume and tone knobs stop tail piece tune o matic bridge dual humbucker pickups 3 way selector switch.

I was pleasantly surprised to open the double boxed OE30ES-CH guitar. The Cherry translucent finish on the Maple body is simply stunning. The mahogany neck is a bit sensitive but has a great feel with smooth frets , a rosewood fingerboard , and nice binding detail all around the guitar. The nubone nut is synthetic but nice. The bridge was not setup or intonated correctly , but adjusted correctly to produce in tune notes open and octave (12 fret). The Bridge pickup tone pot but was loose, allowing pot rotation, but tightening fixed this potentially serious problem. The action ( bridge height ) and neck truss rod adjustments were correct within playing tolerances. No fret buzz was observed and the instrument played easily and clearly the entire length of the neck. The tone and volume pots provide amble volume and tonal variation s from bright treble to a fuzzy sustain full of bass and midrange frequencies , using the three way pickup switch in combination with various tone / volume setting. The sounds are awesome , the instrument has a professional feel / look and plays remarkably well out of the box. The tone and volume knobs look good with traditional clear top numbered Gibson style . The Headstock is black and is emblazoned with the Oscar Schmidt label. This Washburn guitar is s great deal. The two humbucking style pickups deliver clear powerful amplification that produces outstanding sustain and volume , plus great feedback at higher rock n roll volumes. This instrument is overall a very good entry level guitar, and much more actually. It came with a 10 foot cord and Allen key to adjust the truss rod. I am definitely in Love with it so far. It is only draw back is the overly sensitive neck ( bolt on / shims ? ) and the lack of a pickguard, but the overall consensus is the OE30CH is awesome. You will not be disappointed by the fine attention to detail / craftsmanship / and playability / tonal spectrums…A great deal in my opinion. Trapper EDemcaraccioli
I got my Oscar Schmidt OE30CH today. All went well with the shipping, and the seller was prompt in getting it to me. This guitar is amazing for the price. It's a very nice guitar. I've been playing jazz for close to a couple of decades, now. I've worked with arch top guitars before. This guitar is comparable to those costing twice as much as it does. The fit and finish is good is pretty much without flaw. It's a lovely instrument. The only thing that I had to do, when it arrived, was put a couple of pieces of business card under the nut (string buzz at the first fret) and adjust the truss rod. Now it plays beautifully with really low action. If you buy one, more than likely you'll need to set it up, or get a luthier to set it up for you. Once that is done, you've got a nice instrument. One of the cool things about this instrument, too, is that the neck is held on with wood screws, like a Fender guitar (universally, incorrectly called a bolt on neck.) So, if any neck adjustments are needed (putting in shims, adjusting angle), this can be done, unlike glued necks. This is one of the best deals that I've seen.rteel0
I rated this product high because it was very good looking, excellent quality and sounded good. However, that being said I didn't keep the guitar and returned it. It didn't fit my playing style but this is a purely a subjective call on my part. Can't blame the guitar for my personal tastes. I owned one of these guitars for 2 years and was very please. I bought it new online and wrote an extensive review at that time.This is a brief followup. It held a tuning for an exceptional length of time. It had nice sound amplified but don't plan to play it acoustically 'cause it doesn't produce much sound….more like the Strat I once owned.
