Title says it all, and this reverb still gets 5 stars. You can't really imagine how many unique sounds you can get out of combining 12 different reverbs, & you would never imagine the way they work together. I've got a long bow sounding reverb, mixed with shimmer, & the shimmer cleans it up so much that I can pick some blues with great clarity, while having an electric orchestra like sound accompanying me, without getting in the way of my playing or muddying up the sound. It's really remarkable. You need to have some aptitude with this pedal, it clearly has some nobs & alt functions, so be willing to tweak a little, or read the manual. Although it's also fairly simple to use, with basically 24 presets with the dual reverb. It is rather small for all it does, but I've got big hands and have no problem with it. This is a no brainer, amazing studio quality reverbs in a pedal.Jeigh

Got this pedal to pair with my OB-6 for some extra spacey reverb and am very impressed. All the algos sound great and the tweakabilty makes experimentation really fun, plus you can save your work to a preset which is huge for me. UI is very intuitive for such a small box and makes hitting that sweet spot a breeze. Never knew the joy of putting two types of reverb on one sound before this pedal. Definitely recommend.Merdoque

Sound: The sound is very lush and rich, without any grainy, static noise. Using it in stereo is not required to get good sounds, but you can really enhance the reverb wash by using a stereo setup. Features: The fact that you can save presets you come up with, and alter those presets without changing them once you have saved is essential for anyone wanting to use this pedal live. Ease of Use: Figuring out how to use this pedal is super easy, even without the manual in front of you. It is very user-friendly and intuitive, and it is easy to fix any "mistakes" you make while experimenting.The print is a little bit small, making it impossible to see on a dark stage. To that end, it definitely serves to have a small lamp attached to your board if you plan on using this pedal in a live setting. Quality: I've been using this thing for about a month, stomping on it pretty hard and the running it at maximum silliness into two loud amps. just like all of my other electro-harmonix pedals, it is built very well and feels like I will be able to keep it around for years. Value: This is absolutely a fantastic value! Often times, when we hear the word "value" we immediately think of the word "cheap." This pedal, although not cheap, will get sounds that you can only get from reverb pedals costing at least $100 more. Manufacturer Support: I haven't had to send any products back, or deal with the warranty or service department, but every time I have emailed with questions I have received a personal response, so I can vouch for the fact that they care about their customers. Overall: I have had this pedal for a little over a month now, and it has exceeded my expectations (which were already high!), much like the Oceans 11 did. Creating and saving presets in each mode is very simple, and the fact that you can run two reverbs at a time, either in series or in parallel, makes for some interesting and colorful sonic combinations. Every single setting has at least two modes that you can switch between, and the sounds are unique, while still being very musical. This is a real treat for anyone who wants a high-quality reverb pedal that doesn't completely break the bank.Adam

Save then to the 44 second looper and dub over them. Get the tone you want from David Gilmour to the designer himself Devin Townsend. Very versatile pedal with a ton of features make it worth every penny. Buy this instead of 3 separate pedals. Solid piece too. Strymon better watch out because this pedal gives the timeline some very tough competition and more struggling musicians can handle its price tag. I love the presets and the programmable options are endless. If you're considering buying this pedal, quit considering and just buy it. You won't regret it. How odd. This review was flagged for writing Big Mu** using the two F's 🙂 For the money, this is a really hard pedal to beat. It goes from mild and laid-back to wild and intense. The controls feel great…like as in excellent quality. This is a reissue of the original Big Mu** PI. I tried a Big Mu** PI with Wicker and forget about it. It hissed so loud in Wicker mode that I couldn't even here myself think and it got even worse with the tone switch off. And even in the so-called Big Mu** PI mode, it didn't sound anywhere near as good as this Rams Head does. And, the Rams Head is quiet compared to the BM PI with Wicker. One more thing, The BM PI with Wicker does not say anywhere on it nor in the included paperwork where it's made, whereas the RH BM PI clearly says New York City on the face of it…Vincent

Overall: Floats like a stone and stings like a nest of angry hornets! This box has the buzzsaw sound down pat. The fuzz is a thick, smooth, and consistent. I like this kind of fuzz in particular because it’s less fuzzy and little more distortion-like. The Tone knob has a really wide sweep from boomy bass to mid-range Hades. It has plenty of gain on tap and even sounds pretty good with the guitar’s volume rolled back a skosh.I’ve never used the original Green Russian Muff and have only heard them compared through videos online, so I can’t speak as to how they’re different/alike. I got it because I didn’t want to haul my vintage Black Russian Muff around from gig to gig anymore because it’s getting valuable and since it was a pretty jenky design to begin with, it’s liable to break with heavy use. That being said, the reissue Green Russian Muff has a different sound than an original V8 Black Russian Muff. It doesn’t sound as good to me, but it’s not so different that I wouldn’t use the Green Russian live in lieu of the Black Russian for the aforementioned reasons. One huge plus for the Green Russian is its pedalboard friendly size. The Black Russian is the size of an 80s metal lunchbox and took up an awkward sized chunk of the pedalboard. Now there’s more room for other unnecessary boxes (gulp)! One noteworthy ding for this pedal is how difficult it is to see the script on the top of the pedal. The words are printed right underneath the knobs, so if it’s kinda dark (which it usually is) and the lights are all in front of you (which they usually are) the words are impossible to see. Overall it’s a nice fuzz especially for the price. It’s noisy, but once the music gets rolling you won’t even notice it.Brad

I was looking at purchasing a Helix LT and upon researching I came across the Pod Go Wireless. It does everything I required from the Helix but at less than half the price, size and weight. You can dial in some great tones, I use it through an 80w Marshall combi straight into the FX return (turning off the cab sim on the Pod) and it sounds very impressive. The amount of effects to choose from is incredible and you can tweak so many variables to get that perfect tone. The wah treadle is very good but it’s not so great when used as a volume pedal as it doesn’t seem to gradually increase/decrease the volume, it’s almost on/off. The wireless feature is very good, I’ve not had any connection issues and don’t have to worry about treading on my cable, which I’m very prone to. Overall, for what I need in a jamming/garage band capacity it is perfect and I’m very, very pleased with the purchase. PMT delivered the next day, it was very well packaged and was the best price I found on the internet.Martin M.

I was looking for a boost pedal to drive an old Gibson GA-25 with a Strat. The Archer sounds above and beyond. It has plenty of volume to drive the amp and setting the gain between 10 and 2 and rolling off the treble smooths out the crunch while still maintaining it character. Used it with a Plexi 100 and a Twin Reverb as well as a Rickenbacker, Tele, and Les Paul with the same result. The Archer sounds fantastic and each amp and guitar sounds like that amp or guitar. Worked the same on other pedals. Used it to drive an OCD and it the perfect bump without having to use an amp with complicated switching. No noise from the pedal while toggling on or off. Treble knob is super useful to smooth out or add clarity. It was really easy to dial it in and there's a pretty wide sweet spot. It's super responsive to picking and fingering. I kinda want to buy another to have an Archer drive an Archer. Would that be weird?Nickname

The pedal is small and therefore pedalboard-friendly but is still built like a tank. The knobs and switch feel totally quality stuff, the chassis is rock-solid and good looking. This pedal can be used, just like a Klon Centaur, as a clean boost up to a mild unique sounding overdrive. It gives you plenty of volume and headroom (you generally have to keep the volume knob close to zero if you want to match the bypass volume) and the Gain control is very accurate and allows you to shape your tone just as you desire. It is a great blues or rock pedal and gives its best if put on top of a tube amp that's almost breaking up but you can still use it, as a regular drive pedal, in front of a clean amp and it's guaranteed to sound better than most of the amplifiers' internal gain stages. Not a cheap pedal, in line with its main competitors, but definitely worth the price. If you want a Klon-like quality pedal that really gives you the Klon feeling without destroying your wallet, the Archer is a perfect choice.reptile_breath

I used heavy fuzzes for many years, I decided a few years ago to switch to something different. Been switching between the germanium ocd and the Xotic BB preamp last few years. The Archer does what I was looking for. Sounds great with my guitar volume slightly turned down. I've never used one of those real klons. But I now can understand why everyone likes em. Put a good compression pedal in front of it and it will almost sing.Duane

I've been playing for 57 years and have owned pedals in the $100 to $500 range to provide my chorus effects. I've owned 8 reverb units over the last 30 years. This is a nice one. I just set it on the spring setting at about 8 o'clock and leave it there. Too much reverb sounds like a joke anyway, I grew up w/ spring reverb sounds from Fender amps like Princeton Reverb, Deluxe Reverb, Super and Twin reverb. etc. This won't sound exactly like that, but for the price it gets pretty close. It will work fine for recording/ performing w/o issues. I did notice it sounds different when using a single coil guitar vs. a Humbucker, that's a standard issue. True bypass is great. You can buy with confidence ,but you need to understand it's not like spending major money on a high end unit. I can say , no one will ever say, "hey that's a bad reverb" who will ever notice that…. maybe some super sound studio recording guy with 40 years of studio time ? who cares, plug it in a dial in a setting you like and play and enjoy.VJ

Excellent budget effects pedal – Great value – Has 3 basic settings Spring/Plate and Hall – Reverb sweep is very limited range, but mix control is almost unlimited (you can adjust to make it sound like your playing in the next house!) – I generally only use reverb to add snap to a dry signal amp, so was not expecting true ambience at this price range. *Pros – Robust build, large sweep controls, very quiet and clean, True bypass, optional 9V battery (you don't see many of those today do you?) Look, if you REALLY have to have a Martin D-45 sound, guess what Of course this pedal will never do that. BUT, if you need something that sounds somewhat acoustic-like in a band mix and don't want to carry an extra (not to mention fragile) instrument, then this will work just fine. Not authentic, not great, not amazingly life-like, just FINE. With realistic expectations this pedal is as good as any for what it intends to do. I use this in an A/B/Y rig. Tha A side goes to my regular pedalboard and amps. The B side goes to this pedal and a volume pedal direct to FOH via a direct box. I get the "acoustic" sound fed back to me through my monitor (or ears if that applies occasionally). I can have straight electric, straight "acoustic", or use the Y option to blend the two to my liking. Works for me, YMMV. I play "for-hire" mostly and my clients love the versatility of my setup. Also, DO NOT run this pedal through a tube amp if you want the best results. It will definitely work best either run straight to FOH or through a clean solid-state amp. Have read many reviews both positive and negative about this pedal. The negatives were not specific but didn't hear their guitar and amp give an acoustic sound with this pedal. The positives were sometimes vague but they liked it. Then some went on to say they liked it not through a tube amp but through an acoustic amp or a PA system. I HOOKED IT up through a very small practice amp set clean and used the emulation out into a mixer then into a low power full range PA type system. Sounded excellent with neck single coil. Didn't try it with the middle single coil nor the bridge humbucker. I am very happy to have this pedal.Kenmorek

The JHS Emperor is by all means a fine chorus/vibrato pedal that should satisfy most players. That being said, I personally found it to be a tad timid in the depth department and a little bit too much on the "dry" side. It is said to have been designed after the Arion SCH-1, revered in some corners as a studio secret weapon, one supposedly inspired by the Boss CE-2. Somehow, I fail at distinguishing the resemblance between the two, but that isn't necessarily an issue. Overall, the Emperor is a beautifully made pedal that is guaranteed to deliver. Worth noting is the stereo out (TRS) and the expression pedal input.mosel54

Great sound & feature set. Purchased to replace a modded Arion SCH-Z Chorus that was excessively noisy. I bought the Fathom after watching many online reviews and on the recommendation of a friend (co-worship guitarist…he uses a lot of Walrus gear). All I can say is WOW! The richness and depth of sound in this pedal is great. It sounds better overall than my Strymon Blue Sky! This pedal can do anything and achieve any reverb sound you can imagine from the most ambient-wash to the shortest chicken-picking tones with ease. The 'hold' function is awesome to extend your reverb tail once you stop playing. The octave function adds a very usable dimension and all the regular suspects (Hall, Plate, etc.,) sound fabulous. It is not leaving my board! I would highly recommend this pedal. 35+ years playing pro/semi pro..rock, metal, blues…now playing worship.Dr. Danz

Lovely Pedal although watching demo reviews would be more useful than what I can write here. However, there is a hidden delay feature which is not in the manuals which you enable by holding down the sustain and switching from hall to sonar mode and do the inverse to disable. It sparkles. It swells. It makes me swoon. With so many features I am still finding new swooshy tones to play with on this reverb. The momentary switch for swells (sustain) is amazing and a favorite when I'm digging into leads. 100% meets my expectations. I've had this for 6-7 months and it hasn't left my board. It's just as fun in the studio as it is on stage. I've been running vocals through it on "Sonar" for some amazing modulation effects on demo tracks. It's a fun little box. Good work Walrus.Jon

This pedal is so versatile and can create literally and reverb sound you're looking for. Plus being able to save presets basically means you have 4 reverbs at your foot in one pedal!Gavin

There are a lot of full-featured reverb pedals on the market today, most of them with some sort of shimmer/octave/pitch-shifting mode. A few things set this pedal apart from its counterparts. First off is just the amount of control you get over the processed signal. Being able to mix the signal heading into the reverb circuit, the reverb unit itself, and then the final blend, lets you get sounds that are just not possible on 4-knob units. Everything from subtle to watery to full-on church-organ psychedelia. Next, you get three memory banks to save your creations. You could use Red for no-frills reverb, blue for slight modulation, and red for the crazy stuff. Or just save different flavors of crazy stuff in all three, it's up to you. Lastly, you've also got the option of running it in stereo if you'd like (which really amplifies the effect), plugging in an expression pedal for realtime control of the reverb, and also plugging in a two-button controller to make the buttons more accessible if the Descent finds a home at the back of your pedalboard. Great and versatile overdrive, compact for small, simple, lightweight boards. I've used mine in one session as a medium gain rhythm drive, a smooth light cleanish blues driver, and a saturated solo tone with a delay. Can also approximate fuzz or replace your clean booster. As for the tubescreamer comparisons, it's completely different. I've had an expensive tubescreamer for years that still has no mileage on it, and it's really only usable in combination with other things. The Nobels is good on its own, as the center of your sound on a clean amp, or complimenting your other effects.tillitsleeps

Great overdrive! I hadn't heard of the Nobels ODR and thought to try this out based on reviews and reputation. I was not disappointed in the least. It lives up to it in spades. Transparent and more tube like than many tube overdrive emulators I've tried. The only con is size. Some may like the small footprint but if you don't have tiny feet, it becomes a con rather than a pro.Dave

This thing is awesome. I understand that the sounds aren't massively different from each other but they are all different. Just shows that Tube Screamers sound pretty close to each other. The only thing I can say is that if you don't like this pedal then that's because you don't like Tubescreamers which is absolutely fine but that's not the pedals faultMike

Sound: So how does it sound? Well, just like a Tube Screamer. Having owned several over the years, the tone is exactly what you'd expect. The difference between the 808 and TS9 modes are quite similar (still great!), and the other modes offer distinct variations on the classic Tube Screamer sound. I'm currently running it through a Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb, as well as a Li'l Dawg Champster Special (Fender Champ tweed hand-wired clone) and it sounds fantastic. I really love the versatility and ease of use. Features: What was the most useful feature(s)? Well, it's gotta be the fact that you get nine (9) Tube Screamers in one! Want that classic SRV tone? Some badass ZZ-top style grind? Don't want to spend a grand collecting each of those vintage pedals? Well, here you go. True analog circuits with digital switching between them, and you've got an interesting range of tones at your fingertips. Ease of Use: It's simple to get great tones from the Bonsai. At the twist of a knob, you can go from classic Boss OD sounds, to classic Ibanez TS sounds, they're all there. There's even a Keeley modded TS sound. For anyone looking for a range of Tube Screamer tones, this is the be-all and end-all pedal, really. Get this one, and you won't need to spend another dime tone-chasing classic TS sounds. Quality: Well made? It's got a solid metal box, and the switch is provides solid foot feedback. The LED is bright, and let's you know it's on. Reliable? Hard to say, since I'm using it on a bedroom pedalboard that includes a Boss DD-2 digital delay from 1984. Will the Bonsai last 36 years like my DD-2? I guess I'll update my review in a few decades… 😉 Value: Is it worth the price compared to other products? Well, compared to buying nine different pedals, it's a fantastic value. I love flipping between modes and trying different tones at different volumes. You can get a *wide* range of tones from it, so it's a great product. The Wow Factor: The appeal of this product? The sheer number of different modes in one single pedal is, well, unique in the market. I actually sold my original Holy Grail and ended up buying the Holy Grail Neo because of the plate reverb – it's just so lush! I had looked at so many other reverbs (not wanting to repeat myself) but as a gigging musician who loves to tweak their sound mid-set, there is nothing better in this price range. I have to say I also tried the Oceans 11 pedal and was not impressed by the physical quality of the pedal. Also, the text on the pedal was barely readable because it is so small – maybe the Oceans 11is more suited to a home studio or someone who is still looking for their sound…Garry

Pedal has a small foot print which is good for saving pedal board space. one knob for the amount of reverb and a 3 way toggle switch (Spring, Hall and plate). Reverb range is really good and all 3 sounds are really usable. I use spring and plate for blues / classic rock and the hall for deep ambient sounds, when combined with other effects. overall very happy with this pedal, spent ages researching before splashing out the cash for this, but genuinely for me i'm happy with the return for the price on this unit. it;s one of those pedals that offers you insparation when you play due to the wide tonal range it has. overall very happy with purchase.Derek A.

Let me confess right up front, I'm a reverb lover. Some love it, some don't. I especially like a good reverb pedal when I play outdoors to add some of that room sound that I'm missing. This pedal is so direct and to the point. Three reverbs to choose from, all quite usable I might add, and the Reverb knob which controls the wet/dry mix. I don't have the time or patience to experiment all day long to get the right sound. I work full-time and gig on weekends. I need something like this Holy Grail Neo that is simple but effective. An added bonus is that it kind of matches my EHX Neo Clone. Right now I'm in love with the plate reverb but that could change next week. You can't go wrong with this pedal.Larry

Having bought Joyo pedals from AG previously, I didn't have too much hesitation about giving this unit a try. Let's start with the basics ….. To my eye, it's pretty much a Chinese-made copy of the Dunlop/MXR-6 — same layout, same specs e.g. +/- 18db range, same frequency ranges etc., although this Joyo has True Bypass, whereas I don't believe the MXR-6 does, so that's a small plus for the "copy"! The metal casing is built like a tank, so you're not going to break that — perhaps the only vulnerability is in the sliders themselves, so best not to stand on top of the thing! 🙂 As with most pedals, power is via a 9-volt battery (supplied) or transformer (not supplied), and the tops of the sliders have a nice red glow to show you their position on a darkened stage. The "manual" supplied is just one tiny A5 page, with one side in Chinese, and the other pretty much useless in terms of instructions — doesn't really matter, because an EQ is something you're just going to play with until you get the sound you want from your instrument. Talking of sound, how does it work? Well, surprisingly well. I've used it with both my Ovation 1178LX guitar, and my Fender Mandostrat mandolin, through a Mesa Boogie 5.25 amp, and have been pleased with the range of the settings. Each frequency slider can make a noticeable difference, so I doubt you'll have much trouble EQ'ing your particular instrument. Although I'll use the JF11 primarily to enhance my rhythm sound on both instruments, I guess another use would be to set it up specifically for a lead break, and then engage the new settings when it's your turn in the spotlight! (I emphasise that I've used it only with clean sounds — haven't tried distortion etc.) The box appears to be fairly noiseless — whether engaged or not — so there's no adverse impact on sound that I can detect. Overall, this is an effective addition to my small pedal line-up and, at less than half the price of an MXR-6, I can't see why I'd need to spend more. In short, another good-value AG product.Alan

I purchased this pedal with the idea to use it as a boost for solos and for fine tuning my tone. When the pedal first arrived it has been damaged in transit but I rang Artist Guitars and they immediately sent me a return label and within a week I had a replacement one that worked perfectly. This pedal exceeds all my expectations and fits perfectly to what I bought it for. Whether you're fine tuning your sound or using it as a boost occasionally as I do it is perfect. Excellent product, it gives me exactly the sound I was hearing in my head and longing to come out of my amp. I have an older setup, my guitar is an ESP LTD H-51 and my amp is a roughly 1960’s maton EP V202. I love the sound it makes when cranked and the valves crunch and are overdriven but it is too loud for when I play live (I’m in a church band with a very mixed congregation) so I wanted a pedal that helped get that driven sound but quieter volume for the oldies. I tried a blues overdrive and a tube screamer but didn’t find what I wanted. The JF11 lets me increase the low end without distorting the higher frequencies and hits the mark perfectly!! The only VERY TINY negative I found is that the 9V input socket sits too deep into the housing and my multi lead has only 1 plug in it that will fit in the hold. As I said tiny issue that was resolved with finding the right plug Very happy customerMatt

I've been looking for a phaser that has more controls than a simple speed/rate knob that I liked and could afford. I had a Mutron way back in the 70s that I sold in the 80s. I have never been able to find another I could afford so I settled for a 1 knob wonder because everyone thinks they are great. Unfortunately I didn't. The phase from the 1 knob wonder was way too drastic and created chaos in my tone. I got a gift card for GC recently and took a gamble on this phaser, but I'm glad I did. This pedal is fantastic. Very versatile, lots of adjustability, goes from subtle to over the top and everywhere in between, 2 different speeds can be set and switched between the two. I would highly recommend this phaser to anyone looking for more out of a phaser than just a rate or speed control.Robert K.

Overall: This pedal sounds great, it's nice having two chorus options. You can get lots of different sounds out of it. It's very clear sounding. I am satisfied with the sound. I also like the overall look of the pedal but i'm mixed on the lights on this thing.1. I do not like the green led. It is insanely bright. 2. I do like the led lights on the knobs, they're a nice blue color . You can turn them off but you won't because it is easier to see the knobs when the bright green led is lit. 3. Next to the sensitivity knob is an orange led that lights in response to playing speed.4. There are light green leds (normal brightness) that indicate which of the two chorus settings you are currently on and and one that blinks with the rate of the chorus setting you are currently on. Overall though, i like the pedal, i'm definitely keeping it. The sound is the most important thing and it sounds great. It's just a lot going on with the lights. All my other pedals just have a light indicate they're on. I may have to put tape over that green led.Paul

Great pedal, my second unit. The first lasted 18 months then failed but was replaced under warranty for free. Sounds great and its easy to have both a subtle 'wet', slow chorus effect and a high speed, deeper vibrato effect.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

This is a neat pedal, I'm trying to get some more sounds out of it than the ones boss has settings written for you. But it's cool. Something to add to some new songs.David

Bought on a whim, I instantly started writing lead lines which I never usually do. Adds many layers to the guitars tone and creates a unique sound which I am still enjoying playing around with.Nicky R.

Awesome pedal!! This thing is WILD! It actually gives your electric guitar that organ/ synth tone as well as mimicking a 12 string guitar reasonably well. Also gives you those tones at a octave below regular tone for some nice low end if you need it. It's like a little tool box for your guitar, great tones and LOTS of bang for your buck!!BILL

The sound from this pedal is superb: transparent crystal clear, no treble inflection or "scratches on tin plate" sound, just reverb faithful to the sound of the preceding effects devices in your chain. It seems to accept both instrument and line level impedence inputs without distortion. This pedal plus the Keeley compressor (four knob) are the two most essential effects I use for both my acoustic and electric guitars. This device is not cheap, but if you want really nice sound from your guitars, don't waste your money on cheaper pedals. This one is the real deal.Wally

Great competitive quality reverb box. It really does a good job with its available feature set. My only complaint is the non-buffered bypass. (no trails on effect disengage) No complaints about what the unit offers and what you can do with it for the money though. Especially because my unit just stays on anyway, in which case the signal is still getting driven to the amp in a quality way. I like the way the preset situation works too because I typically want one choice reverb sound most of the time (maybe slightly different depending on the song, but nothing that can't be done right before the song starts), and then one specific preset that's a quickly engageable 'more' sound. But when engaging or disengaging the preset, I didn't want that abrupt, disappearing previous trails thing happening. This pedal doesn't do that. It just ramps up or ramps down but stays active. Works well. Sounds natural. Unless you're turning the pedal fully off, you lose signal strength especially because it's probably last in your chain too, but hey. Can't have it all. Leave it on! Looks cool. Workable size. Pre-delay is immensely valuable. Blend control instead of level is awesome. Strreo is cool but would also benefit from a buffered bypass especially if you're running something strreo into it, but like I said, if you leave it on always.. no worries. Reasonable power consumption. Great unit. Best one for me right now. Tried a ton.Josh L.

I was an eventide user and still us the H9 daily, but I wanted a simple non-digital-sounding reverb to pair with H9 effects like chorus, wah, flange, etc. This unit is perfect. Can generate warm classical or jazz complementary reverb from small room to huge cavern, as well as metallic, rock, acid sounds. Controls are large to the touch, easily understood, lots of creative selection. I perform at least 3 times a week, usually more, on Nylon String (finger style) and pick on steel string. I use this with a Ramirez a/e, a 12-string, a les paul and several other similar guitars. I play in medium size venues with unpredictable acoustics, and this unit can be tuned to deliver appropriate reverb to all the places I've played, including outdoors. I play solo with rare performances with cello, violin, flute, doublebass. I play Bach, Beatles, Broadway; Baroque, Classical, Contemporary; ambient, rock and ethnic. You get the picture! NYC studio for 24 years, now in NC. Wish it ran on batteries also, but that is not an issue for me.James Barr, Guitar

I am an analog octave up (AOU) fiend. So when the this pedal came out, I had to try it. I tested it against a Green Ringer clone. Unfortunately, the Tentacle has an inherently harsh quality. You really have to adjust your rig's EQ to remove its ice pick sound. Other AOU pedals have a softer quality to them. While this pedal, with a fuzz, is bearable, I judge an AOU as a stand alone effect. Decent Green Ringer clones give more warmth, musicality, and overall practical use at about half the price.Sidewalk Sally
