I picked this up for my son so he could practice around the house. Killer stocking stuffer! When the son is away the dad will now play. I started playing my Mustang Bass through this and it did the job. It's a small amp, not a practice amp. This is perfect for camping trips, rocking at the office or kicking it in the backyard. Oh yeah and you can plug in 1/4 headphones and keep the concert to yourself. It runs on a 9-volt battery or you can plug in a 9-volt adapter.SERGIO
Took a chance on this and purchased it without every playing it. Watched video reviews on it and gave it a shot. Yes, I know that it's small in size, smaller than a kids lunchbox but I hoped it'd produce quality sound and what I got was muddy sounds at increased volumes. It's not clear sounding and my goal to play through an amp is to sound good and I felt if I actually played this in front of people, the muddyness would make me sound amateurish. So, for what you pay for this, yes, you get amplified but it's not real great quality, unless you're a metal player because you don't get a clean sound from this. I rate this 3 stars because it's convenient to have a portable battery operated tiny amp that you can plug into and get sound from, however, the quality almost makes you not even want to play it.Jesse
This ain't no micro cube or vox. This less than 20$ & runs on 1 9v battery or 9v plug in the wall.(transformer not included)& Holy Friggin' Smokes does this baby perform.Monster overdrive tone & super bright, clean tone.Headphone input.Probably exceeds 60 decibels, which is beyond city ords. could get U a fine it's so damn loud. My Strat Squire sounds soooo Fender good out of this lil sucka & my electric/acoustic, sooo crisp.Ultra light to carry around.I've been using the JOYO mini,I love it,plug in,no chord, fun but this Fender mini is a bit more.More tone options and louder.I've yet to find out how quick it eats batteries. The JOYO burns them up fast.Get the rechargeables. Also the JOYO has an MP3 input. This doesn't. I run guitar strap thru the handle so the chord is like non-existent or U can old school it and have a 10 or 20 ft chord. So light it can be pulled over by the chord. These mini amps also pick up radio signals. When I turn them on I can hear radio stations at certain angles. So get 1 for the road. It's all about the fun.annoyingted1

Reviews:
Because the Stage Right 5-watt tube amp (#611705) has control knobs only for Volume and Tone, I found that I get the best-to-my-ears guitar sound when I put an equalizer pedal between the guitar and amp and then adjust the equalizer to the tone that I'm looking for. On the guitar the Volume and Tone knobs are set fully open and on the 5-watt tube amp the Tone knob is fully closed and the Volume knob is set to the volume level acceptable to the environment (for home practice the Volume knob is set to level 3 at full 5-watts). The Stage Right 5-watt tube amp is my first tube amp after having used modeling amps for at least five years. I had heard that tube amps more often than not sound better than modeling amps. After now having experienced using a tube amp I agree that tube amps (at least the Stage Right 5-watt amp) sounds better than the modeling amps I've used (which to me sound great too). If you're looking for your first tube amp (like I was) or you are looking for a low-watt tube amp for home use then I highly recommend the Monoprice Stage Right 5-watt tube amp #611705. Review about Monoprice customer support: The 5-watt tube amp that I initially received had a cosmetic defect (a hole) on the textured surface on the front side of the amp. The Volume knob when set to fully opened level 10 produced normal speaking level sound instead of the noise-complaint loud volume that I expected. Monoprice customer service was great and easy to work with in submitting an amp replacement request. I described the problems, sent pictures of the cosmetic defect and a video demonstrating the Volume problem. After Monoprice customer service reviewed the pics and video they sent me a free shipping return label, a RMA label, and they ordered me a replacement amp which arrived within 7 days after I submitted the replacement request. The replacement amp that I received had no cosmetic defects and the Volume knob set to max level 10 is loud enough to generate noise-complaints from neighbors, though I normally use the amp at Volume level 3 for home use.New User
For the price (I got it when priced $119) it is fantastic. It's simple, straightforward and sounds good. Nice warm tones. If you're a fantastic guitar player, this amp will sound fantastic. If you're an okay guitarist, you might want to invest in some pedals (or just keep practicing). I only say that because it is very clean and bright and it really shows off what you're playing. (I've been known to hide my sloppiness with reverb, distortion, etc.) BUT It does take pedals well – thankfully! Adding a good reverb pedal, delay and an overdrive to go along with this little guy is a good idea. The Pros: Value to Price ratio. Looks well built. Warm tube sound. The handle (yes I am talking about the amp's handle) is nice! Better than I expected. In fact, everything looks pretty good (except the cheap control knobs). 5 watts is plenty loud for home/recording use. The Cons: Good sounding, but there are better sounding. Please don't buy this thinking that this is a $500 amp. It is not. But sub $200 it is a good one. The chickenhead knobs are cheap looking. I took them off and painted them. But that's a dollar or two easy fix (if it bothers you at all). Overall: I totally recommend for $150 or less. Probably for $200. If the prices climb too much beyond that, I think there are other options. If you want to jam at home and record with it, I think you'll be happy.Brad
The Monoprice 5 watt guitar amp arrived just a few days after ordering, and arrived in good shape, due in part to the excellent shipping carton. Upon taking it out and inspecting it, I could find no flaws in the cabinet, and due to the cream color of the covering, it seemed a little bigger than I was expecting. I plugged it in, let it warm up for almost an hour, and then plugged in an ES339, using no pedals. At first, I wasn't all that pleased with the sound I was getting, but it was my fault. I had it adjusted as I do with my Albion Hybrid, but that wasn't the way. I found the best sound came from turning the Monoprice all the way up, and then use the guitar controls for volume instead. That did it, and the little amp came a alive in a big way! Sounding very similar to a Fender champ, it could go from nice clear tones to crunchy heaven with the ES339's humbuckers. I plugged in a Strat with an HSH configuration, and the single coil really made it sound Fenderish. Sweet. The only thing I found one might improve on the amp, is the speaker. As such, I plugged into the built-in external speaker jack on the back, a little Randall 8" cabinet. That really did it for me. The sound was fantastic through the entire spectrum, and was loud enough to be heard down the block. I then bi-amped it with the Albion, and the sound had all the creamy goodness I've been seeking, and that is how I now have it setup for daily use. That said, there's nothing wrong with the stock speaker on the Monoprice, and I suspect it will satisfy most users. Am very happy with this purchase, and glad I bought it for such a great price. Almost every electric guitar player could find a use for this amp. Buy before the price goes up, or they quit making them!T

Not only does this 5 watt lil' monster have enough power to rattle the windows, it also has class! At only 9 lbs. the Bugera T5 Infinium has enough "UMFF" to push your favorite 4X12" cabinet into the stratosphere! It's better having this reverb built into this lil' madman than not having any at all. Just like 9/10 of the other amp heads in its class. The 1 channel, "all tube" head has warm cleans. Push in the PHAT switch and crank the volume and gain and you get saturated distortion that will blow you away! All of that in a 9 lb metal cage like package for only $200! You won't find another 5 W head with all of that for this price. I love my T5 Infinium from Bugera!brmul-8207
What it's not: Not a $1k boutique tube amp. Not a mid-size club amp (unless you have great monitors and a good sound guy). What it is: A well designed, very affordable little monster that will give enough stage volume at 5W for rehearsals in a full rock band or small club, and will also allow you to drive the output stage at that 1W or 1/2W setting for recording at home. The amp sounds best at 5W and driven into either a 4ohm cabinet or two 8ohm cabs. If you use it to drive an 8ohm cab, you are getting only 70% of its potential. I only use el84 based amps. i love their dark, throaty sound, and while this amp doesn't have the punch or snap I get from my 15W custom built el 84 amps, it sounds great for rehearsal or recording. I am a little bit worried about long-term build quality. The input jack is plastic. I have a hard time seeing that surviving a year of rehearsals without breaking. This is a great supplemental amp for rehearsals and recording. Very smartly designed. Good feature set. And if you like the el84 style sound, it delivers it above expectations at this price range. I'm thinking of getting a second one.klktrk
In these days of small solid state, practice amps, this little amp gives you tube tone and more at a very affordable price. A 12ax7 preamp tube and an EL84 power tube provide the tone along with built in reverb, 2 band EQ, gain and a "phat" overdrive switch for added crunch. The three stage attenuator is a nice touch. The stock Bugera tubes are OK but I switched them out with Tung-Sols which provided a rich creamy overdrive more to my liking. Great sound when plugged into my Orange 8" or 12" cab plus headphone jack for late night playing. Great amp for the price!Isom

Reviews:
If you're expecting an amazing Marshall sound, you might want to invest in some of the bigger amps Marshall has to offer. If you think you can get a concert level sound out of this little guy, you will not be the happiest person. However, that level of "high" expectation would not be very reasonable or even realistic for such a little amp. This is a very cute, small amp that will help you plug your guitar so you can practice quietly in any room in your house without annoying your wife. It will distort if you crank the volume all the way out, and if you're used to the full sound of a bigger Marshall (like I do) it might make you feel like you're hearing your guitar over an old telephone (just my opinion). However, if you calibrate your instrument volume & tone you can find a happy medium. With that said, for the price it is a very nice solution to practice and if the sound seems too weak for you, you have the choice of putting headphones. I personally use it just for practice on the fly, it serves it purpose, but then again I was not expecting the best sound output. So I am happy with the purchase.BeeZee
It's basically a toy amp. I can see it being used as a portable amp for non-serious performance. Personally, I like it for a quick jam and for (relatively) quiet practice in my apartment setting. Won't disturb my neighbors but it does get noticeable at the highest volume. That and the overdrive knob are the two main controls. By default it just does a clean sound but overdrive lets you toggle in some gain for that distortion. It has a good look that definitely models after its bigger brothers.Rick
I don't know what some of you guys expect from this thing, but be realistic: it's an inexpensive 5 inch tall, 1 watt amp. It's not designed for anything but sitting in a chair and entertaining yourself or a couple of people. Within that context, I enjoy this thing and sometimes get it off the shelf and play around with it for awhile. Also, when I owed somebody a 1 minute long riff for his podcast and my main amp was getting some regular tech service, I plugged my American Standard Strat into this thing, mic'd the amp, used the OD channel with the volume and tone both on 10, played the part, then added tons of bass, reverb, and chorus to it in post, and it sounded great and nobody ever knew that I recorded the part using a 5 inch tall amp. It is what it is as long as you don't expect the world.Steve

I like how the BE mini has the sag sound for being a solid state amp Dave nailed again!Mike Drake
Sell all of your dirt pedals, because the DSM has a VERY wide range of dirt available from "hairy" cleans to metal (if that's your thing). I've been playing guitar for 30 years, been through A LOT of amps, & I'll tell you this amp inspires. There is no dirt pedal that can match the clarity and glorious overdrive of the DSM's EL-34 tubes. From mild to wild, there are NO bad tones in this amp, and the three-way mini toggle is just icing on the cake. There is an effects loop that I put a delay & vibrato through, and I only run an Archer Ikon through the front as a boost, which sounds killer through the DSM btw. This is a well thought out design, portable & lightweight, built like a tank. Yes, you want to know if it will keep up with a loud drummer at a gig right? At a bar gig yes. The only instance you will need to absolutely Mike it is if you are playing a large room & want it's cleanest available tone (with the gain at 2 or 3 & the master at full). If you don't want to mike it while gigging larger rooms, get the 40 watt Dirty Shirley. Bottom line..My Telecaster sounds more "alive" than ever as this amp dishes out Brad Paisley tones in spades. My Les Paul sounds thick with an intense clarity at all volume & gain levels. Roll off the guitar's volume & it cleans up beautifully. Even with the mini toggle at it's highest gain setting, roll off your volume pot & the darn thing still cleans up without any noticeable tone loss.Johnny R.

Reviews:
First of all, this came shipped with 5 levels of protection (Andertons box, insulation, Peavey warehouse box, invective box, insulation). Therefore it could have survived an explosion, thumbs up to Andertons! That said, this head is simply wonderful. Materials and construction are high standard and looks are clean and aggressive. No Christmas-style-ubiquitous LEDs, but a slight blue glow which blends with red valves and white panels. Speaking about the sound, this has a slightly high bass output at standard settings and could be tweaked a little. When correctly matched with pickups output and cabinet it produces a marvelous clean sound, very dynamic and warm. Lead channel is simply astonishing: gain is dense and controlled, tight and boost functions work well together and give high gain leads and well articulated notes as well. The noise gate is a nice touch. I will explore the various functions (recording via usb directly from the invective, and so on) over time, but I’m very satisfied overall. Volume output is huge and for room plays I set it under the first point of the scale…but i get high dynamics as well! This is seriously one of the best heads available for metal and progressive, with djenty touches and experimental features (same sounds as the Invective.120, but with a more “socially acceptable” volume output). I’d have liked a better footswitch from peavey instead of the cheap plastic one included, but I will eventually recase it.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
This amplifier is amazing for metal players. The inclusion of a very-effective noise gate makes this head completely perfect for live and recording situations. I have always used the Boss NS2 in front of all my amps, but the noise gate in this head works easily as well. If you have quick stop/start songs, this thing will track. The distortion channel on this head is the 5150/6505, so you will get the legendary 5150/6505 sound. The clean channel is a TON better than the 5150/6505, however. The cleans are creamy and not brittle at all. You will really enjoy all channels on this amp, as the cleans blow the 5150/6505 away. There are two effects loops that work independently, or in concert. If you use a lot of effects, this head is destined to be your favorite. I am not a big effects user, so it doesn't mean a lot to me, but the loops are clean, independent, and controllable via the foot switch. I can say, without hesitation, that this head is the best Peavey has ever made. Full stop.TheTerrorBeyond
Overall: The Peavey Invective 120 is the best sounding high gain amp I have EVER played…and after 22 years I've tried many. A big thanks to Misha Mansoor and Peavey as well as zZounds. The lineage is apparent in this amp. What else is apparent is the time and energy Misha and Peavey put into refining this product. The lead channel…oh the lead channel. Downright sinister. Modern aggression that is completely unrivaled. The Invective puts all other high gain amps in their place. It's simply meaner, more modern and has more harmonic content and responsiveness through the entire frequency range than other amps. Lead and Rhythm channels sit excellently in even the most dense mix. Bear in mind im hitting my favorite parts of this amp…it can so much more than metal. And the clean channel is absolutely beautiful. Lots of clarity and fatness. Two things that can often be hard to achieve on a clean channel. The gate…perfection. The boosts (technically there are 3 different kinds)…perfection. And with the dual effects loops and 9v power on the back panel as well as the a foot switch that really does do it all. The Invective is the all in one solution…its so beautifully engineered. Plug your effects in the loop(s). Done deal. And it's midi controlled. So streamlined. And the best part…the Invective sound is MASSIVE. This is the new benchmark in high gain. Period.Keola

I previously owned an original black 88 2555 that was WAY TOO loud for any real practical application playing in a bar band. I've always wanted to own a more usable Jubilee type but would never pull the trigger on any excessive prices for used 50 watters. When I saw the 20 watt combo using EL34s I was intrigued and pulled the trigger after getting a 15% off deal. This app IS very usable on the 20 watt setting .. it simple sounds like a driven Marshall. I play anything from Beatles to Stones to STP to Foo Fighters and this amp works .. very loud on the 20 watt setting. Be careful with pedals … you can use low gain pedals on the clipping channel .. but none are needed to the lead channel. The combo also sounds great into my Sourmash 2×12 with G12-65s.scissorman
Ive been looking a great sounding guitar amp combination for quite some time and after trying every thing out there I have found it. Awesome cleans and crunchy rhythms. I had a DSL40C for a couple of months and could never get to sound like I wanted. The 2525 out of the box sounded killer. I love this amp.Michael Green $r.

Reviews:
This is a really neat little amp that has more than enough gain to be usable for modern metal tones right out of the box. To get it sounding exactly how I want, I needed to put an overdrive/boost into the front (Boss SD1 sounds great to me), and use a noisegate. But that's pretty much expected of most amps to get tight modern tone. Overall, I am very happy with this amp.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
11. Positive Grid Bias Mini Guitar Head
Product Details:
This is the positive grid bias mini. it s a great sounding amp modeler. it takes modeling to the next level. you can virtually change transformers, power tubes, preamp tubes, all kinds of details. it feels like an actual amp. i purchased two of these about a year ago so i could run dual amp scenarios is stereo with my hx effects. it s more trouble than it s worth to get all the saved models to play at the same volume with different effects and routes. i m selling one of them and going back to a 1-amp configuration.unit is in very good condition. there is some light scuffing on the bottom and a light scratch on the top.

Reviews:
Still early…I have not tried all of the advertised features. But instead of useless sounds, the factory presets are a set of very nice clean tones. Of course, the small, light box with 300 watts was what brought me here to begin with. As a bonus, I found that I can switch tones with my small midi controller (midi mouse) to give me a 16 channel amp. Love it. Cant wait to try all the other features.the-blues-man
Absolutely love this amp! Easy to customize, great tones. My only complaint is the lack of available rack ears, and the wired foot switch. Although I’m going to get a MIDI foot switch, the 4 button wired would be perfect for most gigs, and has a nice small footprint.Al and Tamara Hayes
12. Peavey Invective Mh Misha Mansoor Signature 20-Watt Mini Guitar Head
Product Details:
An incredible fully featured amp originally designed in partnership with misha mansoor of periphery. the peavey invective mh mini head shows us yet again that peavey are constantly innovating and attracting new players to their huge arsenal of amplifiers. this is a revelation. equipped with a 20w power-soak and msdi technology, you can record silently with no need for a cabinet and get the most out of your amplifier. so requiring a ton of extra recording equipment will be a thing of the past. this is a new take on the wildly successful invective .120 amp, shrinking it down but filling it with features seen in amps twice its size – it's small but monstrous to hear.

13. Joyo Bantamp Meteor 20-Watt Tube Guitar Head
Product Details:
Meteor 20 watt tube stage driven head in their new bantam series of heads the meteor is just one awesome little powder keg in their new bantam series and will be offering more models soon. 20 watts of tone in easy take anywhere configuration. the meteor from joyos bantam p series is a very compact and portable 20 watt head. it gives you a modern high gain sound with a lot of dirt and bites. based on a more modern british approach to heavy sounds, it excels in a variety of genres. it was the punk and indie scene that introduced those sounds to the world, but today, due to an increase in gain, also the metal players enjoy this alternative british flavor. the meteor can give you those sounds in a tiny package and deliver a hefty punch of gain and bottom end. the amp operates with a single 12ax7 tube in the preamp and uses a solid-state power amp. the fx loop enables you to put your time-based effects (or phasers, flangers, and choruses) behind the drive section and keep the effects sharp and not prevent them from being too muddy. the amp also has a clean channel that can take pedals really well, which makes it flexible and a great little companion for many situations where your big head is just not sensible. the amp has a speaker out rated at 8o, but can also be operated at 16o with less power. careful, the amp is small but loud its 20 watts can be quite a handful. if you want to practice quietly, use the built-in headphone out with speaker emulation. the icing on the cake is the bluetooth connectivity. easily connect with your bluetooth enabled device and play music through the bantam. this is great to practice with play alongs or to learn songs.

Theres no way this thing should sound as good as it does. It really does put the OR in MeteOR… I was surprised how well it pushed my old Laney 4×12 cab as well as it did. The only thing I wished it had was a foot switch to switch between the clean and OD channels but at least it has a clean channel.ushdaddy716
Bought one recently to pair with my Telecaster. Really good 2-channel amp for the money as long as you have a decent cab to pair it with. It's loud for its size, fairly versatile and extremeply portable. The Meteor is supposed to be modeled after the Orange sound, and while it doesn't quite get there, it does have tons of that British crunch on the OD channel and it sounds pretty convincing for what it is. The clean channel is quite passable and would make a great pedal platform considering these amps have an FX loop. The tone control on the Meteor is a bit too subtle for my taste, but again, the FX loop allows for tone shaping through other means. The Bluetooth feature is all but worthless and I wonder why the extra electronics and room wasn't used for something more useful like a footswitch input for channel switching, or built-in reverb/delay. Either of those options would have been infinitely better than Bluetooth connectivity. The headphone out supposedly has cab simulation; it's not the worst I've heard but it isn't all that great either. Overall, this is definitely a great amp that is easily worth the money if you're looking for a nice practice or studio amp for British crunch and classic rock sounds.barny1515
A really great amp!! Silky cleans and responsive controls! Incredible value and build quality!!!
14. Joyo Jackman Bantamp 20 Watt Mini Tube Amp
Product Details:
The jackman from joyo’s bantamp series is a very compact and portable 20 watt head. it tries to bring you the iconic raw sound of one of the most famous british rock amps. this classic was an untamed beast with its 100w and chunky nature. the jackman has to fill some giant shoes and it manages to have the same mid-gain drive sound that reacts beautifully to your playing and guitar volume. just like the classic rock monster, the jackman needs a bit of help to push it further. use a ts-type pedal (like the joyo green legend or vintage overdrive) to push it into higher gain territory and hear it sing.

This isnt at all what its claiming or attempting to be and am I disappointed! Joyo pedals are an amazing godsend as far as stompers go, the Zombie amp is a 8 out of 10 for sure, but this is completely underwhelming. I'm trying a few different ways and I am not liking it. I could have bought a few pedals for this way too high price tag in hindsight. Bluetooth is revolutionary on amps, but the cell phone store has better options, with more versatility. Please, how do I correct this mistake of choice.eralc40
Needed something with a headphone jack. This fits the bill. Pretty nice sounding micro amp. Brown sound pedal on the dirty channel actually allowed me to do hammer ons, which was new to me. Plenty of gain if that's what you want. Clean channel sounds pretty good too. And as portable as a sack lunch!nieltj
15. Marshall 2525h 20w Mini Silver Jubilee Head
Product Details:
This amp has never left my house and has a couple hours of play through it. it is in near perfect condition with barely visible scuffs on the corner guards. it sounds great and even at 20 watts it has more then enough volume. i still had to run it through an attenuator, even at the 5 watt setting. you can get really heavy tones through it with the high gain settings. you can also get some really nice crunch tones with the gain backed off. the clean tones are beautiful with a slight bit of breakup. i played with a gibson les paul and a tube screamer and sounded a lot like slash on appetite for destruction. it sounds great through a cab with vintage 30s or greenbacks. if you look up slashes amp settings for the silver jubilee it sounds absolutely amazing.unfortunately, i never received the footswitch it's supposed to come with from gc but i am including a marshall footswitch that works with this amp.

Wanted to love this amp as I loved the tones of the 80's full sized version. Bottom line really can't treat as 2 channel amp without utilizing other equipment to deal with the volume levels. Hard to get good clean tone without dirt unless dramatically turned down and playing softly. Wanted to like the clipping push pull but with it on it lowers the volume and doesn't sound great with lead channel engaged. You can't switch it on or off with a foot pedal so requires manual adjustment. The lead tone is good and honestly can nail some of my favorite 80,s hard rock sounds but with volume it is very temperamental. Lower volumes very brittle and higher it can get boomy fast and eq settings between the two vary quite a bit. If reason to get is playing loud and pretty much only on lead channel then it is a keeper but for me the price was two high for a one trick pony even if it does that one trick really well. It accepts pedals very well but also gain structure is set for higher gain so lower gain warmth or just on the verge of dirt settings are not easily attainable with this amp. If you want that GnR crunch and pair with different amp for clean then should be good to go. For me I also have Friedman runt 20 and that thing blows this out of the water and both channels are useable, so I returned this one and musicians friend was very accommodating and helpful getting something else ordered. I did try amp through v30s and 65 watt cream backs and honestly same results as far as the negatives.Micah
When you think of this amp you think Slash, 80's rock and "that" Marshall sound, and while it has that in spades, its SO much more than that. Stellar thick cleans, probably the best on any Marshall I've ever played in my 35yrs of playing. Don't be fooled, its a VERY usable 2 channel amp when dialed in right, just search around the Marshall Forums and you will find the secret sauce! Lastly, the EQ, most get frustrated with it and give up on it, but its VERY interactive and actually small increments make incredible differences, as on the mid control, going from 7 to 7.5 to 8, its like a different amp. Its one of those amps you need some time with to get your sound out of it, but if you like ANY Marshall type sounds, its in there, Zep, AC/DC, Randy Era Ozzy, even old style Hendrix by diming the "Clean" channel. Its got the goods!
I ordered 2525h from Korea. I ordered brand new one but as soon as I unboxed there were several scratches on the front silver panel (very noticeable) Also, there supposed to be a tag on the handle and mine didn't come with it. I suspect either I have got the demo version or returmed version. Brand new product with several scratches and missing tag. What else can you think of?Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

This amp is FUN. The sound quality is great, and it is packed full of amp models, effects, and pre programed drum loops. That combined with a 40 sec looper, and it's become the most effective practice tool I own. And it's so simple, I don't need a bunch of equipment, it's all in the amp. For me, it brings the fun back to practicing.Russ
This amp has a great range of sounds, including some earthy grungey stuff, and weird vocoder setting. The most all-round versatility of this unit is a combination of the Rhythm section, the separate input and control of the Mic, and the Looper section. With up to 10W of output this unit can entertain more than just yourself. I like the tri-select of output power, (especially when the missus wants to watch tv!). The footswitch to select between effects, rhythm and looper is more essential rather than desirable, yet it cost me another $100+ to buy, which seems like a lot for just switch (although it's heavy duty). The only other downside is the rhythm tempo switch, which needs a guess in the time between button presses to alter timing. This would be better done and made more repeatable with a rotary switch. Great little portable unit, and my new GoTo.David M. C.
17. Joyo Bluejay Bantamp 20 Watt Mini Tube Amp
Product Details:
The joyo bluejay is a low cost, very effective, recreation of a fender blues jr. a lightweight, 20 watt amp that has a normal/bright switch, gain/tone/volume controls and an effects loop. it also has bluetooth for playing along with tracks from your phone, tablet or other bluetooth enabled device. the single speaker out is capable of running any speaker 8 ohms or greater. the housing is all metal and has a convenient top mounted handle.i bought this because i didn't have a good clean channel on my evh 5150-3. it works great for home use and does get fairly loud for such a small amp. sounds great with a strat and gets a fantastic pushed-clean tone. it's surprising how good it is for the money.now i have an amp with an effective clean channel and don't really need this one anymore so it's off to a good home. looks and works like new.

Big punch in a little package. Nice cleans and searing gain. Bluetooth works great. I use it with my 4×12 cabinet and if you didn't see the little mite sitting on top you would never believe it. Accepts the signal from my processor very well. Glad I finally took the plunge and tried it. I now have two. Also got the Meteor. Subtle tonal differences, both seem a necessity. Haven't used the FX loop yet but see no reason it wouldn't work as well.spalev_hvjwt0wt2y

Reviews:
I got this as a Christmas gift. I never built an amp before but I do have good solder experience and general electrical knowledge. The amp worked perfectly on the first build. After following all the testing procedures I plugged in and it worked perfectly. I am extremely pleased with the sound quality. I have owned 2 other tube amps and neither sounded this good. It is surprising how low the noise is and how great it sounds. The other interesting thing is the pedals I have sound better in front of this amp versus any amp I have ever used them on. My tube screamer pedal sounds amazing in front of this amp. The gain is all there with less noise and better voicing. I have no idea why that is but I could not be happier.
I recently completed the British 18W head kit from Tube Depot, and can't say enough good things about it! From start to finish, the kit exceeded my expectations. Ordering, shipping, and customer service were top-notch. No issues with components. The instructions and documentation were amazing, worth their weight in gold. The end result was an amplifier that sounds incredible! I incorporated a few of the suggested options- PPIMV, Tremolo HI/LO sw., Tube/SS Rectifier sw., and choke. The sound is amazing, I'm finding it very difficult turning the amp off- once I start playing through the amp I don't want to stop. I would absolutely recommend Tube Depot for anyone interested in building a guitar amplifier. The clear, well-written instructions really made this an enjoyable project. This was my first amplifier build, and I had no issues thanks to the great documentation.Dave R
I ordered this kit with a mod to use KT 66 power tubes. The changes were easy to make and it sounds fantastic. The classic JTM 45 tone at a manageable volume level with the master volume control. Just to test it out I've used a power soak and the tone is exactly the same using the master volume. A couple of real nice features of the design are the negative feedback switch and the ability to switch between solid state and tube ratification (the tube sounds better to my ears). Great product!Clint
19. Blackstar Jared James Nichols Fly 3 Mini Amp
Product Details:
The blackstar fly 3 is already a pretty great little mini-amp. but now, for a limited time, you can get yourself a jared james nichols signature version! the jjn 3 offers ‘mini’ blues power in a desktop format, and comes in his signature green that looks really sweet. ared james nichols has a new limited edition blackstar jjn 3 mini amp, based on the ever popular fly 3 format, but with his own spin on the aesthetics. i have to say, that i find my fly 3 really useful. it can really beat out some great tones. it’s so good, in fact, that i have already used it to record with a few times! the amp has the tape-style delay effect and the isf tone control which made blackstar amps famous, so you have all you need for some very useful guitar tones (and synths too! i have whacked my synths through it many times as well). overall, i find these mini-amps to be pretty versatile, as they have a headphone out, and you can use them as a mini speaker. you also have the ability to play your backing track through them. all these features make for a really handy tool for any guitarist/musician that needs an ultra-portable speaker solution.
