This is a great replacement for the shorter power chord that came with a Sony TV. The TV had a short chord from the TV to a transformer to short non-polarize plug. That made it awkward to plug it in. I play guitar and have a pedal board two pedals are best used in an effects loop. The way the board is set up, I have to use right angled connectors at the board end. Monoprice used to sell only right angle to right angle cables and so some years ago I bought a couple of these, as my amp will take right angled connectors (though a straight connector is better). I was happy with these because they felt heavy and so seemed high quality. However, and this was my fault, the other night I used a studio amp because mine’s in for repair, and this other amp was totally unsuited for a right angled connector. Bottom line, I damaged one of the cables at the amp end squeezing the connector in. So, happy day when I found that Monoprice now sells these blue braided cables, which are exactly what I needed (right length too). I have used them only once, and they worked really well. They don’t have the heft of the old ones, which have a plastic sleeve, but that may not reflect quality. The gold plating suggests quality too. PROS: Work well very good price and apparent high quality CONS: Seem rather light in weight
Excellent value and quality. These instrument cables rival competitor's cables that are three times the price! In fact, these cables seem to be better made the the Whirlwind cables I currently have from 20 years ago. Better connectors, cabling, and heat shrinking. You just can't seem to be beat Monoprice stuff! One cable I have the assembler got a little sloppy and slightly melted the cable covering just past where the heatshrink was placed. Other than this slight blemish, the sound quality is great. Others are commenting about the right-angle connector only being held by the heatshrink, but this is industry practice. The cables are replacing Whirlwinds that I have that are 20 years old. Whirlwind right-angle connectors are built the same way. It took 20 years for those cables to wear to the point of me replacing them, so I bet these will last as long. PROS: High quality build, great value, great audio quality. CONS: Too soon to tell! I'm a pro musician who relies on high quality gear, including good cables. I often make my own cables for specific applications. When I found these cables on Monoprice, I reckoned I could not even buy the parts for a twenty foot cable at this price, so I ordered four. They took about a week to arrive. Packaging was excellent. I did an immediate audio test and the tested cable actually sounded marginally clearer than the ten-foot cable I A/B'd it with.. Build quality felt great, with only one complaint: the heat-shrink tubing surrounding the jack and cable was not completely shrunken on a couple of the cables. For me this was a small matter I fired up my heat gun and shunk the offending sleeves in a few minutes. For some, this could be a deal-breaker, but for me, it kept the meter well within the "max bang per buck" zone. Now I'll see how well they stand up over time. With the company's name emblazoned on the heat-shrink tubing, I'll know whether Monoprice will win my repeat business. PROS: Max bang per buck! I bought this cable around 6 months ago along with my Boss Katana amp. I was new to cables at the time because I learned most of my playing on an acoustic (which don't mean I'm a beginner which most people tend to believe about acoustic players) and I dindn't know which one to buy, so I asked an experienced player what he used and he recommended me to the livewire cables. At first I was kind of worried that they weren't good because of the cheaper price compared to what I had seen but bought one anyways. First I plugged in the cable set up my gear and played a couple licks and was very impressed. I used it for a week or two and tried a different cable. I plugged in the new cable and was very astounded to hear how awful it sounded. I tried another one (Monster Cable) and it sounded way better but still not as good as the livewire. I was very disapointed and went back to my livewire and then I truly knew how good the cable actually was. Make sure to either own one or two high quality cables, or have a backup as well as a backup for your backup and so on. I purchased one of the 25ft. angled-straight cables about 5 years ago and have had to have it replaced every 6 months to 1 year. I don't abuse my cables in fact I go out of my way to make sure they are treated as well as my guitar. Simply put they are assembled poorly. One end always seems to go bad. I do return them and have them replaced because why not take advantage of the warranty. However I have wised up and purchase quality cables now. I would never take one of these to a gig. I gave it 2 stars. 1 for the fact that it does make a connection and relay sound to my amp and the 2nd star because the warranty results in a "no questions asked" replacement. Bought this cable with starter guitar and amp for 9 year old son. This cable lasted 3 months. Was thinking i could fix it, I have fixed many cables before. After inspecting this one, it's not worth mending. Poor quality, very flimsy. Going in the trash. Excellent cable, a definite step up from the gold series. It says right on the box, Warning this cable has more dynamic range than any other cable available! Gain and tone controls may need to be lowered, or adjusted accordingly. I couldn't have said it better myself. These are the best cables I've ever tried, listened to, or owned. Hands down, the most neutral and dynamic. I think that says it all.
Amazing cable ! I gravitate to simple PTP handwired amps without tone stacks. My favorites include an old setup of an Eric Johnson strat – George L into a 5F1 champ; currently have a Dr Z. Mini Z combo (Celestion Gold) and a historic Les Paul Jr that has a Wolfetone Meaner and Pigtail tailpiece all wired 50s style. These two setups reveal not only the guitar but the nuances of a cable and various NOS tubes as well. I've played through George Ls, Lava Ultramafic, ELC, Klotz, Rapco, Mogami Gold and Spectraflex; I hear the differences in all. I was hesitant to get this and am glad I did. My RCA preamp tube really shines now. It's a cable so there aren't any power boosts or EQ jumps going but it is very revealing. Some low capacitance cables sound thin – this somehow has the clarity AND the depth; it's just better and also flexible which I didn't think it would be given its diameter. These cables are an amazing value. First off, the rubber material is the good kind that's easy to coil, not the one that kinks if you bend it. The solder joints seem good and all the cables work as they should. Also, the solder joints are easily accessible if you need to fix anything or resolder a connection. They are also angled on one side. Which is a super huge plus. Keeps the connections from being pulled and bent. They also have vibrant colors which makes it a LOT easier to navigate through a mess of inputs and outputs. I can't speak as far as durability goes. I run a small home studio and I take very good care of my cables and equipment. I can't say the same happens for musicians on tour or concert venues running in and out all the time. But for me, this is a great value! And as I said, the solder connections are easily accessible if anything goes wrong! Which 90% of the time is what is wrong with a cable. Larger diameter may require channel/tunnel widening in LPs and the like. Somebody else noted that W2319 needs careful handling during construction, and that's true. This is one of the best (if not the best) leads I've ever used. Made in USA. No cheap junk. I googled the company and the process involved in making those leads… Wow! solid cable, really good for this price point. 30 foot cable for 17 bux? yep. bought this to replace my expensive "m:" brand 21 foot cable that failed yet again, despite them claiming lifetime warranty, they didn't honor it so i decided to look elsewhere. i looked all over at many vendors before settling on this one. since i needed it mainly for open mics i host, it seemed solid, and upon arrival didn't dissappoint. the neutrik appears to be a questionable "liscenced by" product made in china, the other end seems to be the typical yet robust end ya see on many cables these days. it seems to be holding up well so far, done several gigs with it and it doesn't seem to color my tone much, which is nice cuz its cool to walk into the audience while actually wired. i'd probably revisit this product in the future when need arrises. if ya need a decent cable for cheap, this appears to be one of the best deals i could find.pinkjimiphoton

I test connectors and cables a lot at work, so I did the same basic visual/mechanical inspection. Pins and connectors are solid and don't wobble in place. Connectors are properly molded to the cable, and there is acceptable amounts of strain relief so you don't break the wires when pulling at an odd angle. Dual row UK power strips usually have the ground pin facing inwards, and this cable follows that convention. It is a small detail, but it can be a headache if it doesn't meet that standard.h.s.

I had a cable that I had purchased for an older television that was fished behind the wall. The tv salesperson told me that the three prong cables are a standard cable with all televisions. When I bought my new tv it was a 2 prong connection on the back on the tv so I was stuck. This adapter allowed me to use the old cable I had. After extensive searching, I was able to find these cords at a very reasonable value price. Instead of having to throw away good sections of the specialized trapezoidal computer/printer power cords, this 6-foot conversion allows me to adapt and re-purpose those otherwise useless cords into reliable extension cords for other general household applications (or string several re-purposed sections together for longer needs). I could only locate 3 vendors who offered versions of these adapter/conversion cords; and these are clearly at the best price range, with multiple length sections, along with bundled quantity volume pricing.
