I bought one of these with the intention of purchasing more for my classroom. Once I figured out how to use it (not hard), I fell in love. The app they recommend isn't the best which made it seem harder to use initially, but there are soooo many other amazing apps that work with it (I prefer the tonebridge app since it models any song effects you can think of and is free and foolproof). Now the device is super easy to use and I love how I can toggle between sending the feed into an amp or exclusively into headphones. This is built predominantly for ipad/iphone users and would work straight out of the box for them. I use android and unfortunately the pack had cables for older android devices and didn't come with usb-c cables that more modern android devices use. I'm using my windows laptop for now and it works perfectly with amplitude 5. Sounds is quite reasonable, and you can play backing tracks or any audio through your computer and play along. Looking forward to being able to use it through my phone. It's more portable than my laptop, and have more apps available to choose from such as tonebridge to use with my ultimate guitar subscription.
I didn’t think there were enough reviews around the pro. I wanted to use it playing for a complete session, so 2-3 hours of continuous use. I mainly use an acoustic guitar but I made this purchase to save carrying my main fx board. It took a little bit of setup (mainly trying to find a nice clean sound that represents my acoustic), but the unit works better than expected. I’m running it off an iPhone 6 Plus and find it perfect to use. Might be easier to manipulate on an iPad, but I wanted portability. I bought this thinking it would be really awesome to use as an interface to get some good pedal and amp modeling without all of the gear. I am not an Apple user, but I do have a Macbook I use for work purposes. I tried to find Amplitube to use and it is not able to download the app to Macbook. It has to be either iphone or ipad. I used it with the built in garageband app and there is a lot of feedback and static that comes through the speaker when using the pass through fx. I am a little sad about this as I had high hopes.Scott
I've known about the iRig series for over 10 years, and I wanted something that would simplify recording my guitar, keyboard, and electric violin, so I took a chance and purchased the IK Multimedia iRig 2 audio interface. I expected it to work fine with my iPad Mini (generation 1) and my iPhone 7 (using Apple's Lightning to 3.5mm adapter), though I also assumed that it would not work when I tried connecting it my Lenovo laptop's headset input. To my surprise, it actually did work with my laptop. I have yet to really tap into the iRig 2's fullest potential, and I still need to group all of my audio input apps into one folder on both iPhone and iPad, but so far, I'm very pleased with the IK Multimedia iRig 2.jayoders1986

An impressive sounding device but I haven’t been able to get it to work yet. The software package that comes with it on CD is dated and doesn’t work with Windows 10. The drivers on CD are old too. So you have to get the new drivers from the Behringer web site. Then you have to get a sound software package. Audacity is too simple so I signed up for Pro Tools free, but it wouldn’t install the audio drivers. Then you need the Behringer USB link and then try to get the lot to work. I couldn’t. DJ City offered me a refund but I’m going to persist. I also bought a Jam for the iPad and that worked within minutes.Richard W.
This product appeared to be a very simple, almost plug and play, interface that would let me play my RISA ukulele through my PC and laptop. I have been researching how to make this interface work for about a month. Some users are very lucky and very satisfied. Others, like me, have yet to get a single note out the PC speakers or headphones. It is an inexpensive device, but should still be straight-forward to install. IT IS NOT. Drivers are no longer available at the vendor site. The fact that even this business can not provide concrete installation instructions that result in this device working should be enough to scare anyone off this product. Pros: Compact, Easy To Use Cons: Limitations With Win7 Other thoughts: compact and pretty much plug-n-play. I'm running Windows 7 Pro and found out that I'm not able to listen to my guitar plugged into the unit AND the audio on my laptop. This is a limitation to me, as I purchased this interface for the purpose of being able to play along with my online guitar lessons. I have to add that I noticed this when using the ASIO drivers (ASIO4ALL). I attempted to test another one of the built in Windows drivers but the latency is just unacceptable. I haven't tried this with any other version of Windows (eg: XP) to see if this is still the case. Just something to mention. Again, it's compact with it's tiny footprint, which is great for mobilility. When setup to play guitar using the ASIO drivers, the guitar sound and latency is fine. Personally, even at a low price of under $30, i wouldn't have invested in this unit knowing what i know now. And returning the unit just isn't worth my time and effort.metalmania408

Overall: Worked great for 10 days. Today it started cutting in and out and when it did work it was muffled and low volume. Tried different cables, guitars and power supplies, even took out all of my pedals. Still sounded like absolute crap. Kind of surprising because Boss has a well deserved reputation for quality gear. It's a shame because when this thing worked I thought it was the answer to my prayers. This little wireless unit does the job. Painless. I've seen the guys in my different bands use the Line 6 units they wear on their belt… but really like this one's ease. The adapted has 12 hours of life, sounds perfect on each side of the stage, and doesn't interfere with the other wireless units on stage. I was skeptical that pulling it from the jack would pop, but it absolutely does not. It has a slight signal boost as well. Best part is you can run direct with a cable and keep it plugged into your pedalboard, in the event you have to go wired. It's a great unit, plugs into my 9v daisy chain. Like a Mac, it just works.JD
Pros: The achieved wireless sound quality is truly outstanding, as good as when I'm using my 20-ft Zaolla guitar cable, which is a bit pricier than WL-50 (because its conductors are made of silver instead of copper). Kudos to Boss for this remarkable achievement! Cons: The WL-50 transmitter can be powered only by its internal rechargeable battery. My fully-charged transmitter works slightly over 4 hours after which its battery becomes completely discharged and unusable. The main problem is that charging the battery takes (by plugging the transmitter into the receiver) over 3 hours. I am really impressed with this device. So small. And so powerful. You can use it in so many different ways. I use it to stream from my Computer using Garageband directly into my iPhone for Facebook Lives with some fun reverb. It works just great. So fun. This way i can record my Audio for the live videos and cut oit individual songs later. Super grateful.
I purchased the iRig recently. It was fairly easy to setup, once I downloaded the iRig recorder app on my phone. I use it for DJ livestreaming, and the sound quality is OK. The setup works with RCA inputs. It doesn't sound as good with a microphone input if you are singing. But speaking is OK. For the price, you can do a decent livestream over Instagram or Zoom. Also be careful that your sound input is not too CPU intensive or else the recording will skip.ANNA

The Line 6 sonic port is very well built as you'd expect from Line 6 and comes with a lightning connector and a connector for older versions of ipod/iphone/ipads. It's very simple to use, just plug it into your Apple device, plug a guitar in to the input and fire up the app. Output can be to headphones, speakers or any other device with an auxiliary input (including amplifiers, PA's etc). It can also be used in conjunction with any app that uses the core audio bus, so you can record to garageband, use ampkit, amplitube, the name but a few. You can also plug in a keyboard or other instrument through a different input. Overall, the line 6 sonic port is a great bit of kit that's simple to use. Excellent!David M

The i-Rig2 is the perfect accessory for musicians who are looking to practice without "disturbing" those in close proximity. I play the bass guitar which can interfere with someone upstairs from me who might be trying to listen to the tv. With headphones on, I just plug into the i-Rig2, adjust my settings on the ap and practice without complaints from anyone who is looking for quiet. It is easy enough to operate. You just plug the i-Rig2 into your Smart phone and you're ready to go. I bought this thinking it would be really awesome to use as an interface to get some good pedal and amp modeling without all of the gear. I am not an Apple user, but I do have a Macbook I use for work purposes. I tried to find Amplitube to use and it is not able to download the app to Macbook. It has to be either iphone or ipad. I used it with the built in garageband app and there is a lot of feedback and static that comes through the speaker when using the pass through fx. I am a little sad about this as I had high hopes.Scott
I've known about the iRig series for over 10 years, and I wanted something that would simplify recording my guitar, keyboard, and electric violin, so I took a chance and purchased the IK Multimedia iRig 2 audio interface. I expected it to work fine with my iPad Mini (generation 1) and my iPhone 7 (using Apple's Lightning to 3.5mm adapter), though I also assumed that it would not work when I tried connecting it my Lenovo laptop's headset input. To my surprise, it actually did work with my laptop. I have yet to really tap into the iRig 2's fullest potential, and I still need to group all of my audio input apps into one folder on both iPhone and iPad, but so far, I'm very pleased with the IK Multimedia iRig 2.jayoders1986

First of all I have to say that this thing works flawlessly for me. I love it and I'm slightly saddened by the fact that it doesn't have a perfect five star rating. There is ZERO (detectable) latency and the sound quality is as good and/or better than some interfaces that cost much more. But just to be clear, I do run it with an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I wouldn't really recommend running it with anything less. I also use Fl Studio Mobile as my DAW. This setup allows me to record guitar tracks anywhere. Something I've always been interested in. Think about that, recording great sounding guitar tracks anywhere. I can then easily transfer the tracks to Fl Studio on my home computer for further editing if needed. Anyway. The iRig HD 2 does exactly what I need it to do, every time. It's also made in Italy which is a nice little touch.Half
I used this to revive an acoustic/electric guitar that had lost its electronics due to capacitor failure. Could have tried installing new caps, but this rig was the less expensive and less effort solution. It also works, whereas the alternative had a lot of risk for failure, Putting a mic into the sound hole isn't a new idea, but having a product built especially for this purpose is, at least for me. I used mics designed for clipping to your collar before, which was clumsy and could damage the guitar finish. This product eliminates both problems. I also like that it takes standard AA batteries rather than the coin types and works with rechargeable NiMH. The sound from my amp is very true to the acoustic sound once I figured out what setting works the best. That took just a few minutes, since the preamp is easy to understand and adjust. However, the mic does pick up a lot of noise from touching the guitar, so I had to reduce the gain on my amp and have to be careful otherwise. That's just what happens when using mics rather than piezo bridge pickups. Those who slap their guitars for percussion will likely consider this a feature. I'm not very concerned about the wire from the mic to the preamp being too skinny. Like playing the guitar, I just have to be careful with it. It's easier to deal with than a stick-on transducer I've used with a cable that picked up every little knock on it. Plus you get a zippered clam storage box to protect the unit while in the gear bag, so whatever damage that might happen would be on stage while setting up/taking down and actually performing. An impressive sounding device but I haven’t been able to get it to work yet. The software package that comes with it on CD is dated and doesn’t work with Windows 10. The drivers on CD are old too. So you have to get the new drivers from the Behringer web site. Then you have to get a sound software package. Audacity is too simple so I signed up for Pro Tools free, but it wouldn’t install the audio drivers. Then you need the Behringer USB link and then try to get the lot to work. I couldn’t. DJ City offered me a refund but I’m going to persist. I also bought a Jam for the iPad and that worked within minutes.Richard W.
This product appeared to be a very simple, almost plug and play, interface that would let me play my RISA ukulele through my PC and laptop. I have been researching how to make this interface work for about a month. Some users are very lucky and very satisfied. Others, like me, have yet to get a single note out the PC speakers or headphones. It is an inexpensive device, but should still be straight-forward to install. IT IS NOT. Drivers are no longer available at the vendor site. The fact that even this business can not provide concrete installation instructions that result in this device working should be enough to scare anyone off this product. I'll continue to work with it to see if I can ultimately make it work, but I won't be holding my breath. I may be an electronics engineer but this thing has enough settings to scare me off.Richard
Pros: Compact, Easy To Use Cons: Limitations With Win7 Other thoughts: compact and pretty much plug-n-play. I'm running Windows 7 Pro and found out that I'm not able to listen to my guitar plugged into the unit AND the audio on my laptop. This is a limitation to me, as I purchased this interface for the purpose of being able to play along with my online guitar lessons. I have to add that I noticed this when using the ASIO drivers (ASIO4ALL). I attempted to test another one of the built in Windows drivers but the latency is just unacceptable. I haven't tried this with any other version of Windows (eg: XP) to see if this is still the case. Just something to mention. Again, it's compact with it's tiny footprint, which is great for mobilility. When setup to play guitar using the ASIO drivers, the guitar sound and latency is fine. Personally, even at a low price of under $30, i wouldn't have invested in this unit knowing what i know now. And returning the unit just isn't worth my time and effort.metalmania408

My first performance with the unit, I placed AA batteries in the compartment and closed until latch fully closed. On the 2nd set, the latch came undone on its own. Batteries fell out and two parts (latch and battery contact plate) also fell through the cracks of the stage. I ordered the replacement parts on full compass. I put the replacement parts in and they line up perfectly, but now I'm wondering how in the world are these two pieces going to stay in place? Theres kinda nothing keeping them from falling out again. Thinking that I must be missing something, I watch YouTube videos to look at the compartment in review videos. Only to realize that most of these review videos mentioned my exact same problem. And one of them suggested using a zip tie to hold the battery latch shut. So anyone considering this unit should not only expect that the battery door may open on its own at anytime. But also the latch and battery contact plate will definitely fall out when it does. There seems to be nothing about the unit itself to prevent this, so it is left to you to figure out how rig it up with duct tape or zip ties or whatever on your brand new product… Not ideal. It works otherwise, but I highly suggest another brand or model.Nate
I've been using this for live gigs in a variety of venues for two years. For a while I packed a backup wired preamp and cables just in case, but I have never once had an issue of dropouts or poor signal transmission. Once I thought I had an issue, but I had accidentally moved the channel selector switch on the receiver, and that was easily remedied. It has been perfectly reliable otherwise. A lot of reviews mention the belt clip breaking off. I actually just keep the receiver in my pocket. Then it's hidden from view, and it's easier to switch guitars (compared to clipping it to a guitar strap). For the batteries, I read about some concerns with rechargeable batteries, but I bought a 4-pack of Panasonic Eneloops and they've worked great. I charge the main pair before every gig and keep the other pair as a backup and have never needed the backup. I've played for at least six hours without recharging. Overall, it's been really fun to have a wireless guitar setup. I mainly wanted it so I could walk out in front of the stage to check our sound on the gigs where I'm the sound man. But I never realized how nice it would feel to not be walking on cables while I play. Just taking a few steps around the stage to adjust things or interact with my bandmates feels so much better than when I was plugged in. With plug-and-play setup and trouble-free operation, this has been a great value for me.arlotone
I bought this a week ago, as I was still using an old-school set up, and wasn't crazy about my bass sound being as compressed as it was. Considered one of the other systems in the line, and decided for this price, it was worth it. Its range is listed as 30 meters or so, and after thinking it over, what are the odds I'm going to get more than about 30-45 FEET away? Even on the bigger stages I play every so often? Brought it home and plugged it in. Tonewise, it was night and day. Even my bride/prime roadie could tell the difference. Just for fun, I took that off, and plugged in one of my acoustics. Bright and clear. from all across the house in different rooms. Took it with me to a big show on a big stage (small theater set-up.) Had it up and running in minutes. Set it to channel 4 (completely arbitrary choice.) I see what the other reviewers mean about the flimsy battery door, but I keep my transmitter in a pouch (about $10-$15 at any retailer) attached to my strap, and this transmitter is a pretty snug fit. Solves the door problem and clip problem all at once, along with some padding for all the jumping around I like to do. If there were any drop outs during the show (we went about 50 minutes), I didn't hear them. My tone was a thing of beauty, and I got to run around and entertain. The portability alone is supremely useful. The best travel amp ive ever used! Definitely worth the few extra hundred for the wireless version. Great sounds, its got a surprising kick for a 10W amp. Excellent piece of kit – for those like me living at close quarters with others, I'd even go so far as to say essential. Eight basic amp sounds (five for electric guitar, plus acoustic, bass and 'flat' response amps), each with three variants accessible via the accompanying amp, and a raft of effects. It's obviously portable and wireless-equipped – handy when I get chucked out of the living room – and serves as a pretty decent bluetooth speaker in its own right. My only quibble is that there are only five storable presets – even a simple punk rocker like myself could have used a few more when the amp has so many sounds to offer! That said, this is a proper game changer for anyone who needs quality tone at domestic volume.Joe
I'll preface this by saying I am just a beginning/novice but I enjoy playing. I didn't think much about an amp until I visited a friend who had this unit and had a blast with it all week making songs that I was already playing sound cooler, and also then stretching to learn some new songs while on vacation where you can think about what "sound" you want. It works well and the wireless part just makes it much easier. You can still use a cord if you like or in a pinch I suppose if you were not charged up on your transmitter, but I like being able to walk around at leisure and strum.

Have the Spark 40 and am very happy with it. The Mini, not so much. Biggest issue is that it is much to easy to overdrive the speakers, especially the bass. It is not very loud. It's OK for a small quiet room, but I really can't use it outdoors on the patio. It works best sitting on a reflective surface like a table. You don't want the bottom mount bass speaker facing, say, a rug. I love the iPhone / iPad app. It has a good variety of amps and pedals, but you really can't get the same sound as a tube amp like my Blues Jr IV. While it has a variety of reverb pedals, it does not have spring reverb. A big disappointment. I really like that it is battery powered, usb chargeable and really like the Bluetooth speaker function.Dave
I fell in love with the capability of the PG Spark 40 and I had to have this mini for it's portability! I pre-ordered mine direct from Positive Grid when they were running their pre-production discounts. I've been playing on and off for about 30 years. I wish this was available then instead of that clunky, weak Squire 15 amp I started with. The app for Android and iPhone opens up all kinds of possibilities! A starting musician and use the features to play along to their favorite songs or you can look up backing tracks to tinker along with. The standard hardware sounds are very warm, and the tone cloud gives you access to an unfathomable amount of tones modeled after near all of your favorite artists! It is more than enough to appeal to the budding guitarist to keep you interested! And for more experienced players, the options that are part of this thing are incredible, and will have you noodling with your Sunday morning coffee before you know it! The sound and tone quality from such a small amp is amazing! It sounds huge. You will quickly forget you are playing through a 6 inch cube. There are a bunch of amps and effects to create your own sound, and the Smart Jam and play along features are both fun and inspiring. Plus, the various tones in the ToneCloud are great for matching a tone to a song you are learning to play. Believe the hype from the reviews online. I will say that this is amp may not be for everyone. At 10 watts, it is not loud enough to gig with. Plus, I would not recommend this for a first amp. There are a lot of options that can be overwhelming for beginners, and the limited on-board options do not allow for simple plug and play. Beginners may want to start with something like a Black Star ID Code. There are also a few things I am not crazy about. Because of the limited on-board controls, 6 to 8 presets would have been better, plus the default presets are not that good. The amp models in the app are OK, but some sound too similar, plus each amp has the same knobs (Gain, Bass, Middle, High and Volume). Nothing to distinguish one amp model from another (Channels, Presence knob, Intensity knob, etc.). The same goes for the reverb pedals (each has 6 knobs whether or not the pedal being replicated has 6 options). The Vox Tone room has better amp and effect modeling but does not have all of the other jamming and recording options. So all of that being said, this amp is still fantastic for someone with some knowledge of amps (for example, the difference between gain and volume) and is looking for something small and discrete to play around the house (or apartment) that does not want to sacrifice tone quality. The battery power is nice for playing anywhere without having to plug it in. I've played mine for a couple hours without having to recharge. It is also a great option if you want to record your work. All in all, this is an innovative amp that is just fun to play, has a ton of options and sounds way too good for its size. Get one, you'll love it!Dan

I use if for Bass guitar, far superior to Vox AmPlug MK 2 Bass and cheaper Bassment which both have a lot of background hiss (and poorer sound in my opinion), although it is move expensive. Takes a bit of getting used to having to use the App for settings etc but so much more versatile, check out the 'Mightier Amp' app as an alternative to the official 'Mighty Amp' app. Bluetooth connectivity for audio (jam tracks) a big plus. Design is good, when plugged in it is very unobtrusive and does not get in the way. I only use it for playing with headphones so can't comment on Audio Out/Recording features. Can't see me using Vox AmPlug Bass again!krisb372

Installation worked as advertised – not difficult and worked first time without further adjustments. Could use some high-quality instrument patches – had to buy them from Big Fish. Can do a fine quality impression of horn or string section for us keyboard non-experts, but need the sounds. I do not use the iPad app, just use it in DAW.Jamie
Im not crazy about it..It does track quickly. Secondly you dont have to bolt it in.. Thats the good, Im not to crazy about the sound libraries that come with it. Ive not found much that I can use. I can use it with my other midi packs…thats good. You do have to go into your DAW and clean up transients after recording.. I give it a C…Better than nothing! Fishman could do a little better, considering this thing costs over two hundred bucks..crairiver0
I bought this for recording because I don't play keys very well. I reached out to Fishman about a couple of questions to help set it up and they were really helpful. I wouldn't use this for live because it's very sensitive and the MIDI usually needs a little editing to do exactly what I wanted it to, but it really saves me a lot of work.
