Best Guitar Hero Guitar For Pc (2024 Update)

I am so thankful that I found one at such a cheap price and in this great of a condition. This piece was taken care of as far as dust, rust, wear and tear go. And completeness. It was missing the dongle which did make it a good bit cheaper. Thankfully, I had a copy of the same model. The copy that I had, the dongle worked but not the guitar. I was looking for one without any stickers on it, but I digress. 10/10cubeholic0

Good game with older songs. Not much fun on hard lvls with the sweet songs. Normal mode is do able it reminds me of play Simon says, with some good music and it's own little twist. I would recommend this to players if they doing the same thing over and overchristopher.w

Awesome stuff here. You get your favorite music and rock out with your guitar. It’s different from other games because you’re rocking out, standing up and slamming that guitar. A must have especially if you have friends over and go head to head. Love the guitar hero bundles.john.k

I used to play Guitar Hero when I was a teen so it's cool to be able to play it with my kids, and now on the Wii! (Didn't have the Wii back then LOL.) The graphics are really good and overall it has definitely improved since the earlier versions. Tons of great song choices and fun for the whole family to play. Why I bought it… Because of the free GH: Van Halen offer. Had it not have had that I would have just waited until the price dropped To me the setlist is bad and I figured GH:Mix would do the same thing the others did. I didn't think it would be any better than Guitar Hero World Tour GH:WT and definitely not as good as GH Metallica GH:M. I was right, again the song list had the worst choice of songs with the exception of 3 Doors Down, Iron, Maiden, and Bon Jovi. As for the graphics there quite a bite better than any of the others. The create a rocker is almost the same as in the past. Lot's of custimazation but very few decent hair choices. The chothes all all the same, might and I stress might be 2 or 3 new peices. But overall same old same old.. The competitive games are ok if you can play someone as good as you are you will have a blast. But for me it still gets old fast. I haven't tried the online portion of the game so I will not judge how that is. GH Mix: I thought for sure GH:M's GH Mix would not be beat. I am supprised to say I am wrong, for the most part. They almost out did them themselves on this. There needs to be more Metal tones, it's only got 2 good ones. I think there are way too many clean and oddball tones. They removed too many Keyboard tones as well. Back to the guitar though if you have GH:WT or GH:M I am sure you know what happens when you do quick power cord changes, you get that choppy cut sound. That was the only thing I had against GH:M's GH Mix and figured this one would be no different. I am very happy to say I was wrong. I tried everything I could to make it mess up but failed epicly. It isn't without problems though. After watching some videos on youtube of other peoples songs and thought that you could have power chords and lead on one chart, which would have been really cool. Sadly another dissapointment, all you can do is activate other notes so it just looks like you played the power chord. So that is an all but useless feature. GHTunes… Is like grass that never gets mowed… It would be half way neat if 99% of it wasn't crap… All you find on there is immpossible this or to hard that… GHTunes should have a "Remove it" feature where if the song gets enough of those votes it should be permemently removed from GHTunes… That would save alot of space and let all the good ones be heard. And thats pretty much it for my review of Guitar Hero 5. Ill end it with an over all rating on some of the aspects. Scale is 1 to 5 with 5 as best. Presentation: 3 Reminds me a lot of the older Guitar Heroes. Some new game modes but thats it. Graphics: 4 Very good graphics easily there best. The fret boards suck though. Its the same thing for all characters unlike the older GHs which where different. Gameplay: 2 Same old, same old, play each song once which is okay with me 96% of the songs I could only stand to play once anyway but it is getting old, Rock Band is far better. Sound: 3 Its only getting a 3 from me because it has Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden and 3 Doors Down on it. You can also play the DLC from GH:WT. Other than that this setlist should be balled up thrown in a rocket and shot into the sun. Lasting Appeal: 2 For me it's an epic failure the only thing that will keep me playing which is once every other week is GH:Mix and DLC. If you like all of the songs then youll not get board. Guitar hero 5 is an average game from the GH series however it is a Lot better than others such as the most recent Worriors of rock. The game doesn't come close to tendon numbing games such as Metallica but does have a good selection of toe-tapper songs and maybe even get your head banging. The guitar is probably the best part of the bundle pack. It amay not look as cool as the Gibson or Worriors of Rock Axe guitar but unlike those guitars, it does come with the "neck slide" feature (same as the Metallica bundle) which I personaly think should come with all the guitars. It gives another dimension of game play and slightly more sense of realism and adds a bit more of a challenge for all ranges of gamers. All in all, I would recommend this game/bundle because of the above however if you don't already own one, I'd say get the Metallica bundle instead and find GH5 (second hand) to purchase on its own. It would probably work out a lot cheaper this way than if you were to buy Metallica seperately instead. There's great "battle" modes against some real guitaring legends. The songs are from a wide range of bands (mainly picked by Mettalica themselves) and are by far the best variety (and challenging) of all of the Guitar Hero games I've played so far.thatcherl

Loved playing guitar hero again. Guitar controllers worked with no issues. I adjusted the audio and visual lag from the game itself and I had no problems with the timing of buttons after that. I suggest guitar hero 3 for these controllers 🙂p-hhog-dze0har

This game works your time-spacial skills, putting an effort on your hand and eyes coordination. There is a great psicomotor component in the play, this is not a brain-controlling game that will leave your son brain-less. Give it a shot! Ah! And the songs are great too! I am totally addicted to this game! Love the songs, I've already beat the game on easy and now working on the medium level. Lots of great songs and so much fun. Love the Run DMC bit, lots of cool cover band songs too. I skipped thru the Aerosmith interviews because I was so anxious to play. I totally "wussed out" on the guitar battle challenge. Even on easy it was way too hard for me. Hate that it actually says that I "wussed out" on that part on my "career". Guess I have to just keep practicing. :)My hands are all cramped up because I just can't put this thing down! I just love all guitar hero or rock band games. I played these games before I joined band in school. I love the musical aspect of it to keep rhythm and beats going and making sure you hit the correct button at the correct time. I feel like this help d me into the music world.tif.d

I am not sure why every one would give this a 10, because of the taste? How does that help you with your goals? You should be reading the list of ingredients, those ingredients after the proteins listed, like: Maltodextrin, Mono- And Diglycerides, Dipotassium Phosphate, Sodium Silicoaluminate, Disodium Phosphate, Silicon Dioxide, Artificial Flavors, Salt, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium. So I see fats, salts, sugars, artificial flavors, etc. Look them up. To me that's not a 10. So, maybe it tastes good, but how will it help me with my goals…it won't. So many reviews on here are hung up on taste. If a supp taste lousy but works, I'll get it down…but supps shouldn't be about a taste contest. So there's a few things I liked about this game. They changed the guitar so that way for people like me who can't reach the orange button, now I can reach all the buttons on the guitar. There's the regular version to unlock all of the songs they have Guitar Hero TV where people can play online and you can play other songs then the ones on the game. The reason I only have it 3 stars is the actual guitar itself. My guitar was not working well so we returned it and got a newer one. This one now the strum doesn't really work that well at all. Sometimes down works and it doesn't. So majority you have to strum up but, again works sometimes. Now it has to be returned a second time. So for an anticipated game, game was awesome. The equipment on the other hand needs work.nicole.f

Will have to say I was surprised by this game. Being a long time player of the guitar hero games and mastering them to a high level I thought this was going to be a breeze. I was wrong. The 6 button layout is rather deep allowing complex chords at higher difficulties and the overall game play is fun and adds a new dimension to the genre. I thought i wasn't going to like the realistic visuals approach but this didn't matter in the end as the actual story mode this is used in is really short and can be completed in a few hours. The GHTV mode is where I have had the most fun as playing the random collection of songs was keeping me entertained and has a much larger selection of music which is going to be added to over time. The only problem with this mode is its free-to-play model. Where you need to earn coins to buy plays to play the songs you want otherwise you have to wait for them in rotation. This may sound horrible but its not too bad in the beginning as plays are easy to earn as your low levels increase. But after about level 10 you will have to rely on the coins to be able to get your plays. Overall I enjoyed the game and if they keep adding new music to GHTV to play whilst earning coins to play the songs you want, this model isn't too bad. I would recommend this to anyone looking to play a new guitar hero game, but if your all about playing the same songs over and over to increase your score and go for perfect runs it might not be the title for you.Bawhawhaw

As an Aerosmith fan I was excited to become part of the band and it was exactly like the normal Guitar Hero so the game play was familiar. The let down was the shorter track list which felt like a mediocre Aerosmith tribute.kevin.w

Regardless of what the younger people think, Aerosmith was a huge success in the 70s with songs like Combination, No More No More, and Back In The Saddle. The fact that they then reinvented themselves in the 80s and 90s to become as significant a band as they were decades before is proof they are worthy of respect for the full spectrum of their work. That is why I bought this game and I challenge anyone who says the songs are "too easy" and they played it through on expert without problems. The difficulty of these songs and Joe Perry's guitar brilliance makes this a great buy. I agree that the reduced price is worth the wait but I feel that way about all games. I never buy during the craze faze of $50 prices. I have enjoyed working through these songs and even found a new appreciation for the ones I liked less than others (Draw The Line, No Suprize) with the background info in the interviews. I personally would have liked to see additional interview segements as the difficulty increases. I rate this as one of the best of the Guitar Hero series because I have been a fan since 1975. I agree there could have been more songs from "Pump", Nine Lives, etc., but greats like NO More No More are missing as well. Had they been included, this would be a solid 5/5 in my book. Building from the success of Guitar hero 3, Aerosmith brought smoother sounds to the game and style that gamers didn’t have before. It came in only 2 or 3 days which is likely why it's so expensive. This game is great and allows you to use drums and microphone as well as guitars to play on, and being PC it's very mod-able with custom songs; there's endless potential fun. Beware however as with certain computers it has issues starting up that are easily fixable with Google searches.iviushroom-7

The good: The main reason I got this, is because they only make 2 Guitar Hero games for PC. (guitar hero III, and Guitar Hero Aerosmith). So after having played GHIII for a couple of years I decided that I needed more songs and bought this game. It's fun, and has some good Aerosmith songs. But it's not as good as Guitar Hero III. It's also interesting in that it takes you through the journey of the band. It starts off from when they were just a few guys who loved to play high school proms, to the present when they are huge rock stars. It also includes video comentaries by the band which are pretty cool. The Bad: Half of the songs suck, or are not songs that I enjoy listening to. But there are also good hits on there, so it's 50/50 for me. There seems to be a lag between the speed the screen moves and the music, I don't know if it's jsut my computer, but the other Guitar Hero game I have doesn't do this.jettero1979

Guitar Hero III PC version (both Legends and Aerosmith) requires ridiculously high PC configuration. If you don't have a hard-core gaming pc with a screaming video card, you may be frustrated when you go through the 5GB install only to end up with a lousy 'video card not supported' dialog, which renders the whole set an expensive paperweight. I have a Dell laptop with embedded Intel HD video card. The readme file on the disc mentioned explicitly that on-board Intel cards were not supported. If only I had known…Worse, there are no other games you can use the guitar controller with. Go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ and install the plugin to benchmark your computer BEFORE you make an attempt to buy this game.bsarpas
