I bought this item for my daughter for her birthday and she loved it, it came to our door on time, it was playable and very attractive, unfortunately a relative with a drug problem stole it within a day and we haven't been able to afford a replacement. I would give it 20 stars if I could. I’m not going to say that I can even play guitar. I am still trying to learn. I have a Stratocaster that I have been learning chords and following the lessons in a book that is instruction for learning scale. Only disappointment the guitar was placed in a oblong box with a few bits of paper trying to protect it as apposed to it's original triangle box & then placed in the oblong box, it did arrive in one piece surprisingly, with one scratch that I've managed to polish out. I purchased this to give as a gift for someone who wants to learn to play. It came just a few days after it was ordered, and I opened it up to check for any damage or missing items. I did not have any.! I went ahead and tuned it up, while I had it in hand, why not.?? Then I couldn't resist trying out the little 15 watt amp. WOW.! What a little monster.! The clean side is very nice, smooth, and clear.! It brings out the balance in the pick-ups.. And the Distoration side is just as WOW.! I WAS SO IMPRESSED, that I ordered one for my-self, in the RED.! I have been playing on and off for nearly fourty years, and only recently had an Acoustic/Electric from Fender, which I love. It has a sound and feel that is all it's own..! BUT this Electric Guitar is just awsome.! It can do screamin rips, and clean country as easy as any guitar I've ever played. It not too heavy, but is a solid body guitar which is good. It should hold up for many years of playing, or just playing around.! I highly recomend this guitar set, and if you can get it on sale a good hard case completes the set..!
Never expect good quality if you can get an entire set for a low price. High E string can't even withstand a 1/2 bend at 17th fret. It's a giant scam, the only things that are okay are the whammy bar and the picks. Not to mention the plug cable broke after only 50 days and the amp buzzes all the time. This is why I extremely dislike Yamaha's music products.
My son saved his money to purchase this pack. He could hardly wait the few days for it's arrival. He has had no prior guitar experience. He persuaded me to place the order as this would be an elective class for his homeschooling. I had my reservations. He did not play his PS4 for an entire week after receiving his GigMaker pack! He loves it and I am amazed at how well his is learning how to play it. I am extremely happy that his video gaming has taken a back seat to his love for this guitar.KLM

I've had custom shop Strats… Teles… SGs… Les Pauls… Jazzmasters… 335s… Gretchs… and PRS Custom 24s. They were all great – but this Yamaha puts them all to shame. The neck will feel like it was made from a mold of your hand. The fit and finish is flawless. The array of sounds from the 5-way switch in combination with the passive boost (it even works with wireless) is incredible. Simply put – it's the best guitar I've even owned at any price.Steve

Super equilibrata come bilanciamento, ergonomia eccellente, manico comodissimo (la finitura satinata è fantastica), meccaniche precisissime. Esteticamente è una questione di gusti, a me piace moltissimo. I P90 sono davvero ottimi ed il boost passivo mi ha stupito, davvero garantisce un'opzione in più a portata di dito… Le posizioni 2 e 4 le devo valutare con calma, ma sono assolutamente usabili. I still say that Yamaha has one of the best & consistent QC for guitars and basses. This guitar had better alignment, fret work, finish and general construction than guitars 2-3 x's its cost. The middle and front pups are totally flat sounding, blah. I play clean w just reverb and thumpick w all fingers in picking. I thought by going up a model to this one with 'better' pups that would not be an issue… I didn't buy it for the figured top, but the other upgrades.TX Swing Is King
Playable right out of the box. Pop in the whammy bar and you're good to go. I put on some heavy strings and drop tuned it to accommodate the tension on the bridge, adjusted harmonics and lowered the strings. Sounds great! The Yamaha manual that came with this guitar was the wrong one, but it gave me the gist on how to make my adjustments.'Cao

This is a seriously awesome guitar! The neck feels great and guitar is well balanced. The pickups have that nice clear P90 attack and sustain for days. Mine arrived by courier from across the country and when I took it out of the case, it was in tune! Struck a chord and felt the resonance through my body. Then I did a few string bends and felt and heard the strings scratching on the frets! Absolutely dismally polished frets! Very disappointing to buy an expensive guitar and end up having to spend a few hours polishing the frets myself. The rest of the setup however, was impeccable. Intonation, action, string height, all really spot on. Overall, I’m really happy with this guitar. I’ll include a photo of the frets where you can see the polished frets next to the dull ones.Yamaha please include locking tuners on the next version! Absolutely love this guitar though!Peter R.
I purchased this Yamaha Professional with P90s and also A Reverend Gristle 90 to compare and the Ergonomics and the neck feel on the Yamaha was nicer and easier to navigate. More tone option for me on the Yamaha. The Jumbo Stainless Steel frets had a familiar and nice feel for me. The only drawback and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the Yamaha did not have silent P90s whitch is not a game changer for sure, nothing a good noise gate wouldn't fix or switch out Pick Ups. Craftsmanship is stellar. Trying it out for the first time at a gig tonight. Chicago Music Exchange did what they promised and put new strings of my preference with a nice set up. I am rating it based on the price point expectations I had before ordering. It is a really great guitar. You have to expect that it will come with some defects and issues. Small paint/binding issues, some glue and wood chips loose inside the guitar that I took out. The guitar wasn?t set up well on arrival. I did a string change and truss rod adjustment to get rid of some fretting out on the first fret. The components are cheap, input Jack was broken shortly after my first show with it. The guitar itself is solid! Well built, stays in tune. Neck is very thick. I would purchase another even with issues. I wasn?t expecting a perfect guitar just something that I can play hard and maybe replace some components down the road.Cory
Very nice looking guitar. Set-up pretty well out of the box with fret ends nice and smooth. Needed slight intonation. Unfortunately the shipper basically smashed the box and the three-way toggle switch was damaged and not functional. Rather than send the guitar back I pulled out the switch and was able to repair it. Finish around the switch hole (under the retaining ring) was slightly damaged/cracked and had to repair that as well. The guitar plays and sounds quite nice and other than a small kink in the binding where it joins the neck (smooth and under the finish) it is a pretty guitar. Has a minor rattle somewhere that I can't locate (not string buzz), but doesn't come through when amplified. All in all, I am happy with it and its well worth the price.Michael
This is a nice guitar. It?s well made, has a beautiful charcoal burst gloss finish, and has the wonderful mellow sound of a semi-hollowbody guitar. The blacked out hardware is a nice touch. I learned about this guitar from the guitar gear bloggers on YouTube. They ALL gave it great reviews. Some of the older reviews mentioned that the fret ends needed more polishing, and there was some nitpicking about the size and font of the Indio logo. More recent reviews indicate that these issues have been addressed. MY Indio guitar has polished fret ends and it APPEARS to me that the logo is a bit smaller. The fit and finish are EXCELLENT, so perhaps Monoprice has listened to customer complaints and has tightened up their QC. The BIG news here is the PRICE. EVERYONE, myself included, is STUNNED by how INEXPENSIVE this guitar is. The $250 list price is a STEAL! The YouTube bloggers claim that this guitar will go head-to-head with other 335 style guitars costing 3 times as much! I agree.Kevin

This is a 1987 yamaha sa2100. also known as the 335 killer. the pickups have been changed to seymour duncan seth lovers. the guitar sounds amazing!!i do not have the original pickups.it was made in japan. it's in good condition. it has some wear on the frets (see pics) but it does not affect the playability, there is plenty of life left in them.. it has some small scratches and minor scuffs. there are no cracks anywhere on it and the neck is straight. it has standard wiring. it sounds great when played clean for jazz or with distortion for rock. it comes with the owners manual and original case.specs:laminated birch body and backmahogany neckabalone fingerboard inlay. split block position markers.ebony fretboard.24.75 scalegold hardware (worn)neck width 1.72"22 jumbo fretssemi hollow guitar. there is a block of mahogany in the center.i am open to reasonable offers. no low ballers please.

Here we have a beautiful vintage japanese yamaha sa-60 circa 1975-77. these sa-60s don t come up much. they were the second most expensive guitar yamano released in the series, only the sa-90 was more expensive. we love this one, it has a deep resonance you feel through you as soon as you begin playing. the pickups seem to channel this too and sound deep and rich. of course, it is in all original, fully complete condition. it has a nice feeling '59 profile neck. nothing bad has happened to it. it s had no breaks/repairs etc. the neck is dead straight, truss rod is working fine and there is plenty of life left in the frets. it has the classic looks of a true vintage aged hollowbody. it is in good condition with the usual little bumps and nicks as you'd expect and with some clear sticker residue on the front that can probably be removed with patience and care. the the original yamaha humbuckers sound great although the neck sounds a little louder than the bridge. weight is 4.1kg. a b…
