Reviews:
I have bought several guitars in the 100 to 300 range. I was surprised on the quality of this guitar and felt it was superior to many other brands in this range. From neck joint to fret polish & leveling and finish this guitar is quality except the tuners, however the guitar stays in tune and rarely goes out. The neck is not a Fender Strat or Tele neck so don't expect it to play like one, Its its own thing. It is not wide at the nut so if you need a wide neck at the nut it may not be for you. I find it fine and would not consider it narrow. The neck is slightly fatter than a Squire neck but it is still a C shape and a bit thicker as you go up the neck to higher frets. It plays great. Its set up well for Rock and Blues playing, neck adjusted with a light bow and strings set low (but not to low to buzz). Bridge saddles are stainless steel and this make the strings ring out bright and loud even when not plugged in. Intonation was spot on. Frets are tall enough to allow for string bending (there not super low). As regards pickups this is a personal thing. Pickups are very basic and do okay, one may want to upgrade them to ones own liking other wise there fine.pchapm
I was hesitant when ordering the guitar, but after I received it worry washed away from a single glance. I'm not good at instruments, I never played anything than doing ukulele club when I was a kid so I didn't expect myself to buy a guitar. It's delicate and beautiful, feels great to hold and sounds just as good. I do not regret buying this guitar at all, in fact I'm greatful that I'm able to own it. I strive to become great at playing it, little by little . Thank you!Nazma B.
It's a beautiful guitar and really well made. I bought it for my 9 year old daughter and she loves it. I don't know anything about guitars as I'm a pianist myself, but her guitar teacher was absolutely delighted with it. It's definitely worth paying the extra for the upgrades. I can definitely see it lasting her as it feels really solid, and the knobs and twiddly bits etc feel really solid. I genuinely can't get over how nice it is. Makes me want to learn the guitar myself!Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
This guitar is amazing!!mir2381
I've had this one for about 4 months now and I am pretty happy with it. Build Quality is excellent, finish is excellent, overall feel is great. the Wilkinson Trem is way better than others with the sharp adjustment screws that always seem to stick up and stab my palm, I have a tendency to play with my palm resting on the trem and I always end up pulling the saddles and clipping the adjustment screws shorter to keep them from sticking out the top. This is not an issue on this bridge. The push in trem bar is nice, not sloppy like a screw in type. It's very comfortable to play. Pots are quiet and not scratchy, switch feels solid and not cheap like some others out there. Frets are clean and not sharp, ends aren't dressed to perfection but it plays comfortably. Neck finish is a little sticky after playing for a while but that's the nature of a gloss neck. Overall awesome guitar if your looking for very bright Strat type tones. The tone is very bright though, pickups break up nicely under gain and sounds good in all positions. Yamaha makes a great instrument and are often underrated, I Would recommend this one for sure
Absolutely love the guitar. Color is a lot more subtle in person than in pictures online. Plays smooth right out the box, looks and feels amazing. Neck is quite similar to a strat but gets flatter near the neck. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because when I unboxed it and inspected it there was a scuff on the headstock. It isn't noticeable from a distance but definitely something I'm not happy about. Other than that it plays great, looks great, feels great 🙂Julieanne
4. Yamaha Electric Guitar Pacifica612viifmx Pac612viifmx Frd

Reviews:
An excellent Strat-style that punches well above its weight. For the price of a 'second guitar' or learner Stat you get a very competent piece of kit that will go as far as you want. Nice neck, reasonable frets and quality pickups together with high build quality, it was perfect out of the box, needing no further set-up. The 112v's party piece of a coil-tap on the bridge humbucker though extends its range and versatility immensely it really does give both the full SSS and HSS sound – two excellent guitars for the price of one reasonable one. Downsides? A very slight crackle on the volume pot, and using the coil tap (split) reduces the bridge output, so up the volume a bit if doing it mid-song. I can happily live with both.tim

Reviews:
I purchased this to give as a gift for someone who wants to learn to play. It came just a few days after it was ordered, and I opened it up to check for any damage or missing items. I did not have any.! I went ahead and tuned it up, while I had it in hand, why not.?? Then I couldn't resist trying out the little 15 watt amp. WOW.! What a little monster.! The clean side is very nice, smooth, and clear.! It brings out the balance in the pick-ups.. And the Distoration side is just as WOW.! I WAS SO IMPRESSED, that I ordered one for my-self, in the RED.! I have been playing on and off for nearly fourty years, and only recently had an Acoustic/Electric from Fender, which I love. It has a sound and feel that is all it's own..! BUT this Electric Guitar is just awsome.! It can do screamin rips, and clean country as easy as any guitar I've ever played. It not too heavy, but is a solid body guitar which is good. It should hold up for many years of playing, or just playing around.! I highly recomend this guitar set, and if you can get it on sale a good hard case completes the set..!
Never expect good quality if you can get an entire set for a low price. High E string can't even withstand a 1/2 bend at 17th fret. It's a giant scam, the only things that are okay are the whammy bar and the picks. Not to mention the plug cable broke after only 50 days and the amp buzzes all the time. This is why I extremely dislike Yamaha's music products.
My son saved his money to purchase this pack. He could hardly wait the few days for it's arrival. He has had no prior guitar experience. He persuaded me to place the order as this would be an elective class for his homeschooling. I had my reservations. He did not play his PS4 for an entire week after receiving his GigMaker pack! He loves it and I am amazed at how well his is learning how to play it. I am extremely happy that his video gaming has taken a back seat to his love for this guitar.KLM

I still say that Yamaha has one of the best & consistent QC for guitars and basses. This guitar had better alignment, fret work, finish and general construction than guitars 2-3 x's its cost. The middle and front pups are totally flat sounding, blah. I play clean w just reverb and thumpick w all fingers in picking. I thought by going up a model to this one with 'better' pups that would not be an issue… I didn't buy it for the figured top, but the other upgrades.TX Swing Is King
Playable right out of the box. Pop in the whammy bar and you're good to go. I put on some heavy strings and drop tuned it to accommodate the tension on the bridge, adjusted harmonics and lowered the strings. Sounds great! The Yamaha manual that came with this guitar was the wrong one, but it gave me the gist on how to make my adjustments.'Cao

Reviews:
It's hard for me to write a review, because I'm just such a rank beginner. I'm a retiree who just decided to finally learn to play the guitar. More than one expert said an electric is easier to play for a beginner. Many praised the Yamaha Pacifica series, and compared the 311h favorably to the 611. The price at Kraft Music was unbeatable for a new guitar with stand, a soft case, a tuner (which works well), a DVD (which I really haven't got into all that much–there's a bunch of stuff on YouTube to check out), pics, strap, etc. I think it's beautiful, and everything is working well so far–except for my fingers. But I didn't even know how to work the tuner when I first got it. I bought a cheap amplifier (Crate 10 amp, for under $40–which I also recommend), and now, a month later, I can play a few chords. I'm satisfied. Now, it's up to me, not the equipment. You have to bear in mind, I've never touched another electric guitar, so you can take this with a grain of salt.denyarcur
stumbled across this model during a road trip, knew i had to have it. the neck is flawless and snappy low action. play the neck soapbox open G with a steel slide it is just simply brutal clean or crunchy. the bridge humbucker is outstanding with coil tap too. i need another for standard tuning. i own a 1990 pacifica 921 as well and no you cannot have it not for sale! if you've not played yamaha you owe it to yourself and your wallet to have a go. best instruments for your $$$ out there.cainitus

Sono pienamenmte soddisfatto dell'acquisto fatto
Die Gitarre ist: -ausgezeichnet Bespielbar -fantastischer Klang -wunderschön, edel
Only disappointment the guitar was placed in a oblong box with a few bits of paper trying to protect it as apposed to it's original triangle box & then placed in the oblong box, it did arrive in one piece surprisingly, with one scratch that I've managed to polish out. Apart from all that, it's a beautiful guitar.Jim S.

A premium feel, for not a lot of money, and the P90s roar!John R.
I've had custom shop Strats… Teles… SGs… Les Pauls… Jazzmasters… 335s… Gretchs… and PRS Custom 24s. They were all great – but this Yamaha puts them all to shame. The neck will feel like it was made from a mold of your hand. The fit and finish is flawless. The array of sounds from the 5-way switch in combination with the passive boost (it even works with wireless) is incredible. Simply put – it's the best guitar I've even owned at any price.Steve

Beautiful looking guitar, excellent build quality that belies the modest price. Yamaha are the largest instrument makers in the world but this does not feel lmass produced. The same is true of my Yamaha TA guitar and Clavinova 709 – no I don’t work for Yamaha.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
it all started with a visit to the music store in my town in Greece..it so far came to 3 of these guitars in 3 different colours! THAT'S how awesome this guitar is! it is a workhorse guitar, not for the faint-hearted or the beginner crew, and it delivers everything IN SPADES! anything I throw at it, be it mild overdrive, heavy distortion, crystal cleans, it can do it ALL! #must buyPantognostis
Got mine in fall 2021. Set up out of the box was right on. Low action, no fret buzz, fret edges on sides of neck were nice and smooth. Guitar plays and sounds great with or without overdrive/distortion pedals. Big and rich sound out of P90 neck pickup. Bridge humbucker has plenty of punch. Love the tuning stability of the hardtail bridge. Fit and finish A-1. The only small thing is, I wish the tone/coil split knob had a little more drag when you turn it, but it works fine. I would rate this guitar equal to or better than my Highway One Strat. If you're thinking about getting a Player Series Strat, check out a 611 or 612 Pacifica first. Everything from Jimi Hendrix to Judas Priest, this guitar rips! Rock On!rich
Incredibly happy with the build quality. I did buy a 311 first which had some tuning issues. The 611 is WELL worth the extra money with adding the Graphite saddles, the seymour duncan pickups and the maple cap. The bridge pickup in particular was a huge upgrade. Why do I like it? I have had a 90's strat plus (US), G&L, Fender Standard and at least 1 other ST style. I started playing on a tune o matic bridge when I was young and I started with the bad habit of plying with my palm on the bridge. this knocks strats out of tune. I tried blocking bridges with pennies and with wood blocks which but it felt like the strat tone was crushed. This thing is so simple live: 3 way; volume; tappable tone. Great ST sounds, in a hard tail guitar for a great price. Impossible to find elsewhere. This thing is hard to beat in terms of versatility and simplicity. Great ST tone; ability to go to humbucker bridge and a P90 neck. Great tone; great price very giggable instrument. Fantastic choice.Bill J

Reviews:
I was curious about these guitars from the beginning. I played a rs420 at a shop and decided I wanted one. I bought the 502 on a whim . After a few months of playing I can honestly say this is my favorite guitar . It's the best balanced (perfectly)and most versatile. It's a guitar that you don't have to change anything. The styling is all Yamaha and cues taken from Yamaha models in the past 40 years. This guitar has better quality and better sound than any mid line Gibson for 3 times the price. I'm blown away. Only complaint I have is the nut being plastic. Other than that this is my perfect guitar. I love it so much I bought a rs820cr to compliment it.Richard
I wanted a P-90 guitar and considered options, mostly Gibson classics (Special and Special DC P-90 models) or Tele variants. The RevStar got my attention for its aesthetics – a modern DC look but not over-styled, and cool design details like the matte finish hard ware and brushed paint on the body. It's a very cohesive design language that works well. A very handsome guitar that's almost timeless in its look. The guitar is extremely well-assembled, easy to play, and sounds great. I've had it for a year now and still love it.Brooksie
The build quality, tone and style of this guitar are satisfyingly and surprisingly wonderful. Yamaha really outdid themselves with this new line of Revstars. The custom voiced YPG P90 pickups are delicious sounding in every position. The dry switch provides an additional menu of slightly thinner spank and quack tonal options you will definitely use. The design somehow exudes both vintage character and clean modernity at the same time. The solid mahogany of the body and set neck have a weight and sustain that couples that of a late 50s Gibson but with the workhorse reliability of modern fabrication. The matte finish of the maple capped top and hardware set over cream binding are just beautiful to behold, and the finish is designed to wear uniquely to each player (think of it like a pair of high-end denim jeans). The shop black tonehue reads as slate grey, especially against the normal black triple ply pickguard, and in certain lights can give off a slight nuance of a subtle dark grey/blue/green. By the way, Im almost reconsidering selling this as I write the description haha. I just need the funds unfortunately.axeman0509

Reviews:
This is a seriously awesome guitar! The neck feels great and guitar is well balanced. The pickups have that nice clear P90 attack and sustain for days. Mine arrived by courier from across the country and when I took it out of the case, it was in tune! Struck a chord and felt the resonance through my body. Then I did a few string bends and felt and heard the strings scratching on the frets! Absolutely dismally polished frets! Very disappointing to buy an expensive guitar and end up having to spend a few hours polishing the frets myself. The rest of the setup however, was impeccable. Intonation, action, string height, all really spot on. Overall, I’m really happy with this guitar. I’ll include a photo of the frets where you can see the polished frets next to the dull ones.Yamaha please include locking tuners on the next version! Absolutely love this guitar though!Peter R.
I purchased this Yamaha Professional with P90s and also A Reverend Gristle 90 to compare and the Ergonomics and the neck feel on the Yamaha was nicer and easier to navigate. More tone option for me on the Yamaha. The Jumbo Stainless Steel frets had a familiar and nice feel for me. The only drawback and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the Yamaha did not have silent P90s whitch is not a game changer for sure, nothing a good noise gate wouldn't fix or switch out Pick Ups. Craftsmanship is stellar. Trying it out for the first time at a gig tonight. Chicago Music Exchange did what they promised and put new strings of my preference with a nice set up. Thanks David A.Jim O.
