El diseño del instrumento es genial. Los acabados están muy logrados y el color es muy chulo (no es exactamente como el color de la foto – en realidad, es un poco más oscuro, que personalmente me gusta más). Por otra parte, el instrumento es muy cómodo de manejar, tanto si estás de pie como si estás tocando sentado, además de que el mástil tiene una forma para tocar cómodamente. Por último, en relación al sonido, las pastillas suenan genial, tanto si estás tocando en limpio como con saturación. Jugando con el tono y el volumen de la guitarra también puedes conseguir múltiples sonidos distintos, ya que funcionan perfectamente. Si estás pensando en hacerte con una guitarra tipo ES335, y no quieres gastarte los 2500-3000€ de una Gibson, es recomendable probar esta guitarra, ya que ofrece múltiples posibilidades.

This washburn j3 is in very nice condition. looks great and plays great. i have changed the neck pickup to a seymour duncan '59 (original pickup is included). i changed the tailpiece to a more traditional looking stew mac trapeze. the back of the neck has been lightly emory cloth sanded to remove some of the heavy gloss finish and improve playability. there is a slight finish blem at the neck heel which must have been a manufacturing inconsistency. it doesn't show up in pictures and is barely noticeable. it is not a factory second.this guitar has had very little play time and will make a nice beginner jazz guitar for someone with the improvements made.

This guitar delivers the most Jazz Bang for the buck I've found. It is superior to the J5 I already own and sports a solid carved top. The back is wonderfully figured maple and is beautiful. Sush… don't tell anyone about this… it's too good to be true. This is a great jazz guitar deal from Musicians Friend. I bought this guitar to replace a similar one that was stolen frm me a long ago, and I never forgot it. I was surprised to see what a great deal it was. The action and fretwork are spot on, and the finish, unlike what the advertised image shows is not "brown sunburst" but a rich black/amber sunburst with a solid gloss finish, which is exactly what I was looking for. I have been wanting an N4 for the past 20 years. I'm so glad that I finally decided to go for it. I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest guitars I have ever owned. True, there is no fancy top wood or finish. It is the tele of the super strat world. It's a cutting board with strings and a Floyd Rose trem. The fit and finish were all superb. It just feels so good in your hands. Like that old pair of boots that just hug your feet in all the the right ways, and makes you smile. This guitar wants to be played fast. The neck is super comfortable and did I mention fast?!!? Unplugged, the guitar sounds warm and balanced. Plugged in, it snarls and bites and cuts like a knife. It is both thick and biting all at the same time. The Bill Lawrence USA L500 bridge pickup is it's own unique thing. Its a humbucker that has some of the tonal properties of a single-coil pickup. That upper high end stringy quality. You'll either like it, or you won't. (A simple thing to change out if you don't) The Seymour Duncan 59n in the neck sounds very sweet and warm, without being muddy in this guitar. Ultimately, this is an extremely nice guitar. It is utilitarian in its design. A one stop rock machine. However, it is so much more. I am super impressed with the attention to detail. Everything is exactly where is should be. Exactly how is should be. The most honest assessment I can give is that it feels like a professional guitar.Joel

Probably not the best time to review. Item arrived with several physical issues. Good news is, I contacted the market place seller and provided pictures. They sent a return label and will be inspecting and sending a replacement item. I can provide a more honest review once I receive the new item. If item is revieved in good physical condition , I am sure it will get a high rating. The item initially looked and was fit amazing. It was just unfortunate that a couple vital things may have slipped thru an inspection along the way somewhere. I give Thanks and Praise to the vendors action and response to the issues and I am anxious to see the new product.
