Reviews:
Great playing guitar!Sam
I wanted a knock around acoustic/electric for small gigs and around the house playing. This guitar is great at doing just that. The sound quality is great. The Koa and Catalpa wood combination is beautiful. The neck is comfortable, the overall weight is light, and the onboard electronics are suitable. Having the built in tuner is a plus also. Right out of the box I had to add relief to the string action as it was buzzing on all strings. After that though, the playability is impressive. I tend to go with a lighter gage on acoustic strings which lends to even more ease of play. The only negative thing I can say (other than having to reset the string action) is that this is not a high priced, high quality guitar. I own several Martins and this guitar does not compare. But, at the price point it shouldn't. It's a great guitar for any skill level.Smitty

Reviews:
This is advertised as a florintine in write-up and pictures. The one the shipped me was not a floritine but a rounded cut away. Not sure if this was a production change or what. In spite of quality issues, the sound is beautiful. It has a smaller body than I expected but it still projects nicely. I like the neck feel and the small body make it comfortable to play. If the quality was as good as my last Washburn I would give it a 10. I really like the guitar, but quality is way less than expected based on other Washburn product I have seen. Nice having the tuner built in. I like sliders for controls better than small knobs. Disappointed. Bought for my son. I would return it but he played it and says he wants to keep it. The pictures and writ-up say it is a Florintine cut away. It is not. Nice flame maple top. Resonable fret work. Varnish has some runs and imperfections. Sand marks in neck under the varnish, does not effect play or feel. Also some glue left at some joints and binding less than perfect. Not as well built as my 11 year old Washburn D10CEB was. Hard to beat the price but quality is not what I expected from Washburn.srk
Overall this guitar is fantastic! Perfect beginner sized guitar that I will enjoy for years to come! First and formost I would like to state that this guitar is exactly like shown in the picture above. As you can see in the above picture the body comes to a curved edge by the cutaway not a sharp one making it a venetian body style not a florenine like stated in the discription! Other then that, the onboard tuner is really cool with its LCD screen and tuning nobs (not sliders)! The light D'Addario strings sit close to the fret board making this a very easy to play guitar! All wood work is incredible and looks beautiful!! Only thing I see that could possibly be wrong is the white binding on the neck has some hairline cracks right under the fret bars but every guitar I have played has these! Outside of that, the quality of this guitar is awesome! There are no runs, left over glue, scratches or anything! The flame top looks amazing and is absolutely flawless! Very deep shine and the internals look pristine! Very, very good quality as you should expect from a Washburn guitar! Tough to beat the value of this guitar with the quality and beauty of this instrument!

I decided to start playing guitar again and was looking for a bargain. I certainly found it in this washburn guitar. The finish and quality is excellent. The action and string height is set like a high priced Martin or Taylor. It plays easily and sounds great. I got a hard shell case included in the price.honvalk
A ty co hrály opravdu dobře, byly v cenové kategorii 20.000 Kč a výš.

Reviews:
Washburn EA 12B is a very high quality electric-acoustic, especially for guitarists who are just starting out, or on a tight budget. The build quality, and fit-and-finish, can't be beat for the price. For musician's who prefer high name-recognition products, this might not be the choice. On the other hand, as a live performance tool, this guitar has an impressive look, and a great sound. Overall, the EA 12B has a very nice combination of mid-range, and good alto voicing, something you would expect in a mini-jumbo. The bass frequencies are there, too. The Barcus-Berry under-saddle pickup is versatile. A few adjustments of hi-lo frequencies, and volume allow reliable response and good tone. Preventing unwanted feedback wasn't a problem with the settings dialed in correctly. This guitar would probably give a nice acoustic sound with just about any amp. Most modern-style guitarists (classic rock) would prefer an instrument with easier action. I had to adjust the bridge saddle, by gauging the fret distance, and lowering it slightly. With a good set of strings, the guitar didn't buzz or have flat/sharp inconsistencies across or along the fretboard. I tried it, and the result was a pretty cool Johnny Cash type sound. The EA 12B is a nice instrument, and a good value.Segovia Junior
Bought this for my sons birthday who started playing about 6 months ago and is progressivly getting better. Received the guitar on time. It was packaged well. Opened it up and loved the look immediately. The pictures online really dont do it justice. Played on a washburn years ago and always liked the body. Right out of the box with a little tune up sounded clean and crisp. The action is perfect. Cant wait to change the stock strings and plug it up to the marshall amp.ProudDad
I bought this guitar as a Christmas present for my grandaughter who is a big fan of modern country music and wanted a red, acoustic-electric guitar. She likes it a lot. I thought it looked really good with the red coloring and nice trimwork. I didn't think it sounded that great unplugged & seemed a little clunky but I was comparing it to the Gibson lg-2 Arlo model that I received as a xmas gift & sounds amazing. I suspect it will sound a lot better plugged in but I haven't heard it that way yet. Anyway the price was very reasonable and it looks terrific and seemed well made. Probably a good choice for a teenage girl just starting out on her journey towards modern country superstardom.

This is a very well made musical instrument. The maple sides and back help to provide a clear and bright sound. This is a "mini jumbo" that is slightly smaller than a standard size jumbo acoustic guitar. It is more of a travel guitar. The volume is impressive for a guitar of this size. I recommend this guitar because of the wonderful sound as well as the superb fit and finish.ilikeguitars.2009

Reviews:
I use this product at small venue gigs and playing 3 Masses each week. There are too many great things to mention here, BUT, I will try. Washburn makes a great satin finish on the neck of their guitars. This is great on hot and sweaty days. This guitar boasts a satin finish on the whole guitar which allows your right hand to stay less slippery as well. The pickup on the inside of the sound hole is just the best. This picks the sound up from the inside of the guitar instead of the usual bridge style pickup that picks up the string vibrations. Much warmer sound. Solid Sitka Spruce top and solid mahogany back are a perfect compliment to each other. It sounded great out of the box, but sounds richer every time i play it. Put some good playing hours on this baby and it will sing for you. There is cathedral bracing inside the guitar that allows sound to flow and swirl around in there and is unobstructed by sharp edges on normal bracing. Lets not forget that this is part of the comfort series and has a smooth edge where your arm hangs over to pluck the strings. This is helpful more than you think it would be.Must be played to appreciate. Moreover, this guitar is a pleasure to play. I loved my other Washburn gig rat that i have played for years and still pick it up a couple of times a week out of guilt (it knows I love my to guitar better). Don't think about this…..JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN TODAY!! You will be happy you did. KeeganKeegan
Am strictly a fingerstyle player so can't really speak to the pros and cons of this guitar for flat picking. It has a really nice clear tone and sustain, I use it primarily for playing stuff in open G and DADGAD tunings. It has a 1 3/4 nut which is good for fingerstyle and a relatively thick neck which I also like. Of course, depending on the player, both of these things might not be to your liking. But overall, a very nice guitar at a very attractive price point. Oh, and the electronics are excellent.Greg

(This review refers to the service, and not the guitar itself) The guitar purchase could not be completed due to a manufacturing issue. Despite this I was sent an email explaining all of my options. Rimmers allowed me to choose what to do and dealt with the issues very quickly, great service.Mylo H
This guitar is absolutely Beautiful! It sounds better and plays better than a Gibson WM45 I used to have. The electronics work as they should and it is really nice to have an onboard tuner. This guitar sounds good as acoustic or plugged into an amp. I have had more acoustic guitars than I can count and the only one I would rate better is a Martin! The only slightly negative is the strings are a bit high up the neck but I have fixed that with others. I will shave some off the bottom of the bridge saddle and that will take care of it.Bob

Reviews:
I'm still breaking this one in, but for the price it's a very good guitar. Out of the box, the action was a little high for my tastes, but as I said, I'm still breaking it in. Since I still haven't broken it in yet, I'm leaving the truss rod Allen key alone… for now. A minor fix to be sure. My other acoustic is a 1958 Martin D-18 and this guitar compares quite favorably to it. It has a great resonance right out of the box, and, for $800 and change, it's simply a great guitar. It's physically beautiful, and although I haven't had it long enough to make a definitive call, I do love the comfort feature on it. For the money, what's not to like? xxxooo dcDr. Clay (docclay)
This guitar sounds great but the string height off the fretboard is too high. Turning the truss rod does not lower it enough. There is not enough meat on the bridge saddle to sand it down. May have already been sanded. Could be the neck was not set correctly. I wanted to return this guitar, but I've had it too long. Got busy and didn't realize I was past the time limit to return. Expensive mistake. I am not happy.Pinelands Artist

I bought this guitar to take with me on a medical missions trip to El Salvador. Right out of the box, it had a surprisingly wonderful bright tone and acoustically projected with a lot of volume. The action was a bit high, so I used the included hex key to lower the strings a bit to make playing it a bit easier. It frets true. The built in tuner is very accurate and easy to use. The strings it came with sound and play great so I don't plan to replace them any time soon. I love the finish, see no flaws, and the neck is smooth and just feels as good as my more expensive guitars. No problems with the frets. I only wish it came with a pick guard, but shouldn't be a problem since I fingerpick most of the time. I haven't hooked it up to my amp yet, but probably won't since I'm planning on gifting it to the mission house where we stay for other groups to use. I hope they enjoy it as much as I have! Look forward to "visiting" it again next year! God bless the Salvadoreans!Wretched
I was a little skeptical when I ordered this guitar because of the price. When I opened it I was amazed at the quality look and feel of it! It's a beautiful looking guitar and it sounds really good. The built-in tuner works well and the pickups inside the guitar sound great to me. I have to complaints about the natural or amplified sound quality. So far the one I received has been holding it's tune fairly well for a new guitar. I expected to have to re-tune much more frequently. It honestly feels like I'm playing a much more expensive guitar. Keep in mind that it doesn't come with a second strap button or a pickguard. If you require those they can easily be added. Personally I didn't mind as I don't really "jam out" hard enough to risk scratching the guitar and I play sitting down all the time so I don't need a strap. If you are looking for something cheap to practice with this guitar is perfect. I would even feel comfortable performing with this guitar (all though those years are behind me).The Casual Jammer
2nd Guitar, first one had damage on it. Paint unfinished at sound Hole The Guitar is not set up to play out of The box, also not Humidified, Had to do lots Of nut, saddle and Truss rod work before My fingers could play it. Interior looks Good. Digital Tuner And strap buttons are nice. For the price It's a lot of work to get it to be set up. I Finally got it working but it's just another Vastly produced Guitar with no quality Control. You will need to go inside the Guitar to pop up the pegs. They will Not just come out easy. The tone was Ok and the electronics work ok after Tons of work. I also had to Oil the neck And bridge along with Humidiying it. It sounds ok now. The neck is a little Wide at the top and string spacing is Slightly off but it's playable now. Could Use some oversight before there factory Shipped out. A plek set up would of Saved me hours of work. If you don't Mind setting it up yourself then it's ok Just beware that it will take some time To get it to perform correctly.. I Bought It for a Gift. Next time I will call before Purchasing and ask questionsFred O.

I have always considered Washburn to be a great value guitar. For the money I have always been impressed with the tone woods used, build quality, looks and sound of Washburns. The WD20SCE was no exception. Even though this guitar comes with D'Addario EXP-16 strings which are great strings I restrung with Ernie Ball Earthwood medium 2002's and this guitar sounds like a very expensive instrument costing much, much more. Bottom line, this is a great guitar for the money.gayle9219
A sound that surprised me. Very full, with great tone. Fantastic fit and finish.lzybt

I wanted a parlor guitar after having a dreadnaught for a few years and this guitar feels and plays better than all of the others. I've always picked it up at the local store and today it came home with me as a Fathers day gift to myself. The curved walnut binding makes this the most comfortable acoustic I've ever held in my hands. I'm going to be playing on this for hours this weekend.JP
I'm very happy with this guitar, as I am with other Washburn products. The wood is beautiful and I like the satin finish. The sound is as good or better than the Little Martin. A few minor things on finish that could be a little better, but nothing really bad. Just a little light file work on a couple fret edges. I wanted a smaller guitar to relax and play around with, as well as to take along traveling. This fits the bill as good as anything I have come across. The padded gig bag is very nice as well. This would also make a wonderful first guitar for younger players.brucevee
I own the spruce top rosewood back and side version. Love the beveled armrest and scooped out upper bout. Mine has a solid top and for a little guitar puts out good volume. The matte finish gives it a very organic feel . action needed a neck adjustment. now would match it against much more expensive alternatives .Has a Southwestern vibe to it and the gig bag that comes with it very well made. Fit and finish were top notch. If your looking for something different that is fun to play this is a good choiceNew Kidd

Great acoustic guitar! Has solid Sitka spruce top and plenty of punch in its tone. Very smooth satin mahogany neck and nice finishing. Also features cathedral scalloped bracing. Made acuostic guitar magazine's guitar of the year in under 1000 price range. The 20 series is solid top the 10 series is vaneered.davidorious
This is one of 2 different models of washburn acoustics I ordered. Each had a terrible neck set resulting in a super high action. No saddle to correct it, a necessity when the neck set is too high. Would have been a nice guitar if the neck was set correctly. If you buy one have it checked by a luthier or someone who knows what they're looking at within your return period. A chinese built guitar with a bad action and high neck set is totalled, worthless.th
Item arrived quickly. The carrier obviously handled it very roughly, so I had to contact customer service. They were great to work with and very helpful. The instrument itself is beautiful and comes in a decent hard case. I’ve owned multiple higher end martins (d35, hd28, 000-18GE) and Taylors (714ce, 814ce) and I can say that you’re getting comparable playability to those with great sound for finger style or light strumming. Can’t beat it for the sale price!John

19. Washburn Festival Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar Tobacco Burst

Product Details:
Washburn designed the festival series to address the needs of the performing musician and it has succeeded for over 25 years. the festival series was the standard acoustic/electric guitar seen on mtv's unplugged series and has since become one of the best selling and most copied guitars on the market. a comfortable body teamed up with quality barcus-berry electronics, hardware, and fine woods allows the pristine, crystalline highs to blend perfectly with a full, well rounded low end. the ea15's mini jumbo body is easier to play for those that find the larger dreadnought and grand auditorium shapes uncomfortable. the ea15 mj is suited for smaller players, young learners, or musicians looking for the more focused and intimate voice that a small bodied guitar provides. built with a cutaway so that access to the upper frets is a breeze. plug-in ready and pre-equipped with a pre-amp and pickup loaded with features such as an onboard tuner, eq controls and feedback resistance, all from barcus berry, the developer of the first ever piezo crystal transducer for musical instruments in 1963. a tobacco burst gloss finish is applied to this festival ea15 to create an instant classic. the coffee colored fade from dark to light really brings out the character of the wood in its figured maple top.
