I am very happy with this amp. The Digital effects are better than I thought they would be. I wish the reverb settings could be turn up higher. The line in setting works perfect for an acoustic guitar with a build in pickup. Very light weight and very powerful but sounds good at low volume. :-).DonV
My AC-15 went on the fritz right before a festival gig. Bought this small, light amp in a pinch and it's outstanding! Great sound like the AC-15, but so easy to cart around and soooo much more powerful. I really like this little pup. The only downside is the wacky powerchord, but hopefully this will not prove a problem.Mark
Getting back into playing the guitar again (during lockdown) I needed a new amp (previously had only used entry level Marshalls) and did quite a bit of research on amps under £300.00. Came to the conclusion that a modelling amp might be the way to go and it came down to the Boss Katana, Line 6 Spider, Marshall Code and the Vox Cambridge 50. Didn't want anything too complicated and wanted knobs to twiddle not digitised controls – so that ruled out the Line 6 and the Marshall. Decided that the Katana was a great amp but with so many options and effects that I would probably get bogged down with too much choice and so I opted for the Vox. It sounds great, is not too heavy and the amp modelling presets are fun to experiment with – albeit that they are setup in very specific styles but are easily customised. Be aware that they are 'Presets' and as such, default back to the basic factory settings everytime. If you wish to recall a change to their sound/tone then you need to 'save' your changes to one of the 2 built-in user modes. You can expand these to 8 user profiles if you purchase (I have not done so as yet) and connect, an optional footswitch. This amp has more than enough for what I need and sounds great – love the AC30 modelling. 4 star rating given because there is no line out for gigs (most scenarios would see the amp 'mic'd up anyway) and some of the preset amp models are preset to a volume that is way higher than others which can catch you out. The instructions are pretty good but do require careful reading especially when trying to save custom configurations, but all in all and considering the price, this is a very good amp indeed and I am a convert to Vox.Reviewed by Kenny's Music custom

The quality is superb and will get you out of that apartment lease asap with how loud this amp is. Not a fan of the chime? I have been playing guitar for 12 years, play in a touring band, this amp is serious! The Alnico blues have such a smoother response than the harsh sounding greenbacks. The hot switch (switchable by the foot switch which comes with it for no cost) is surprisingly loaded with a ton of gain. Still remains crystal clear though, just adds cut, and obviously gain. the top boost channel is a perfectly rounded do it all channel. I find the amp takes pedals well, regardless of the lack of effects loop. So in no way am i disappointed in that. The thing is just perfect for anything other then metal really. You can go from Foo fighters, to led zeppelin to circa survive to blink 182 with your amp. Buy this thing, don't wast your time on other amps. Just buy it once and don't look back.
The Vox AC30 handwired takes the classic AC30 to the next level. I have personally owned 2 Vox AC30's and I sold them both so that I could buy my AC30 Handwired. Best decision I could've made. There's just something about the way handwiring that brings out little nuances in the your tone that you didn't quite notice before. This is a really good bit of kit (apart from the way it looks, which isn't the best!). It makes a great Bluetooth speaker for streaming music – plenty loud, with good (faked) stereo separation, and the bass isn't bad for a small speaker. The guitar modelling sound good, and works well at low volume. And I can get 3 sound sources running simultaneously, which is useful : 1. A guitar plugged into the Input 2. A keyboard plugged into the Aux In 3. Music streamed over Bluetooth So, the sound is good, the connectivity is good, the downside is the software: 1. Tone Room works well, once you've got it to work at all. I had to try several different drivers from the VOX web site before I finally got Tone Room to connect from my laptop over Bluetooth. I eventually gave up trying to get Tone Room to connect from my Android phone. 2. The bundled JamVOX III software is incredibly ancient (last updated in 2013!!!), and doesn't manage to chop out the guitar solo's particularly well on the songs I tried it with. 3. There's not much of a community out there uploading tones and patches etc. Finally, I could have paid less elsewhere, but I really appreciate The Captain's video reviews, so I decided to pay an extra £10 to get it from Andertons.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Overall: I bought this after getting tired of waiting for my Positive Grid Spark to ship. I watched some videos and pulled the trigger. zZounds had the amp at my door in 24 hours. Wow! I immediately dialed up what I expected to be my primary sound — the "Brit 1959" amp. Absolutely horrible. The sound was weak and uninspiring. Even with the pre, post, and eq's dimed, the amp was nowhere near an early era Malcolm Young tone. (The target.) The JCM 800 and the Orange Rockerverb sims aren't bad–but those amps have completely different drive characteristics. At this point, I had not yet written-off the Adio completely. I streamed my iTunes through the Adio via Bluetooth, and this was the final nail-in-the-coffin. The plastic cabinet has a very specific resonant frequency that is only augmented by engaging the "Wide" mode. The songs I have known my whole life sounded completely different when played through the Adio. Even streaming "Avengers Endgame" through the Adio unpleasantly colored the audio. And again, engaging the "Wide" mode only degraded the audio further. I am returning the unit to purchase a Yamaha THR10II–which is what I should have done in the first place. (Damn your review, Lee Anderton!)They made me fill-in "manufacturer support." I have had no experience with Vox customer support.Brian
OK, I do jokingly refer to this as the "Vox Tone Purse" because it's gotten such flack over its looks. In person I think it looks fine, and I don't really care that much. Here's the deal – I generally have to put my stuff away when I'm not playing, I live in a small place. Sometimes I don't feel like getting out the pedalboard and bringing an amp into the living room, etc. In those cases I grab the Adio and sit it on the ground next to me. This thing sounds plenty good for what I use it for. Generally practicing or noodling while watching sports. I like clean-to-slightly crunch tones with reverb. I don't use the other effects much, and I've played around with the Tonelab app a bit, but not much. I just dial in a tone and play. The tones I get are satisfying and good enough – I like the tones out of my amps better, but for a small practice amp I'm fine with it. About the 50 watts – there is plenty of volume but this thing will not keep up with your average 50 watt, 12 inch speaker combo amp. It's not that kind of thing. The 50 watts is likely for clean headroom, and it's probably 25 watts per speaker. You have to use the app to control effect parameters beyond speed or depth – not a big issue. You get plenty of variety in the available amp models – I use all of them up to the Plexi and don't really touch any of the high gain stuff. Not my thing. To my ear it sounds good for clean to mildly dirty tones and has plenty of EQ and gain options which easily cater tones to single coil or humbucking pickups. Lots to like. I give it 4 stars just because nothing is perfect, but I'm very happy with this amp and use it all the time.AL

When I ordered this amp I expected to change out the tubes for JJs because if recommendations in the reviews I read. The stock tubes in this particular amp didn't produce any rattle and also provided plenty of clarity and bass. I don't sense the need to change out the tubes. This amp has more head room than my 1×10 2013 '65 Princeton Reverb Reissue Amp and I'll say its louder. The Vox Ac10c1 doesn't have a footswitch input installed onto it, if you want to switch from reverb to gain you will have to do it by hand as youre playing. The gain is rich, its a decent factory built in, the gain effect on my 4×10 2003 Fender Concert Reverb Amp doesnt sound nearly this good, if you buy the newer Marshall 20 watt tube amp or their MG solid state series amps their gain effects have a thinner, more static sounding than gritty sound to them. Vox amps have that more lush grit sound, akin to the sound we hear in the songs Ripcord and Vegetable by Radiohead (though Thom Yorke uses a turbo rat pedal) Haven't tried the Ac10c1 with a drummer, setting the Ac10c1 on an amp stand to project the speaker upward or placing this amp on a table should work just fine. The portability and light 27 pound weight are a huge plus if you decide on taking this amp anywhere. With this amp in one hand and a guitar stand and your guitar in a case in the other hand- you will be able to comfortably enter to set up and exit to load up in single trips. I originally expected to change the amp handle out for a leather handle but this vinyl handle is pretty thick. While playing through this amp, you can really feel and hear the nuances of its tube sensitivity while strumming and if you dig in with a pick, you can go from soft to really loud. Turn up the gain and your tone breaks up but still retains clarity. Having the gain wide open and master volume down means you can still have the saturated crunch but not disturb others . Perfect for home use but would not be out of place in a small pub gig. Takes pedals will and with a multi-fix like a GT 100, if you disable the amp sim and use like a conventional pedal board, you don’t lose any quality of the AC10’s natural tone. A masterful amp and it even smells nice with those tubes cooking.Mark R.

I was really surprised at how good this amp sounds. Years ago I tried Line 6 and was not at all happy with the tone; but this is another story. It does take me awhile to dial in a specific classic rock tone, but when I do, it sounds better than any other amp that I've tried. I have tried the Marshall Code, Blackstar id Core, Vox Valvetronix, Boss Katana; as well as some all tube amps. The only other amp that is a close 2nd is the Fender Mustang GTX; also a great amp. The Spider V is fairly easy to operate. It offers lots of choices for amp models and cabinets. I like that it has variations of a mic'd cabinet. The parametric eq is a plus. I haven't played around too much with the effects yet, so I can't comment on that. The only negative thing I could say is that when you're editing a preset and want to hear how it sounds before you save it, you only have a short time before it goes back to the Home Screen. This really is a small price to pay for the quality of the amp and all the versatility it has. I like the App too. Musicians Friend got me a great on this as well; and their agent is following up making sure that I'm satisfied. The funny thing is that I came across this by accident. I placed an order for a Peavey amp that was on back order. I called Peavey multiple times, but they never returned my call. I also emailed them, but they didn't respond to that either. As far as I'm concerned, Peavey doesn't have any customer support.crrkr
Been playing about a year, so my review is from the perspective of a complete newbie. The things I like- Lots of presets, mobile app functions, computer interface, and loads of user created effects available. Nice and loud, but no real basis of comparison to say if clarity is better or worse than other comparable amps. Don't likes- The micro-usb interface. I had to get an adapter and it's just not as good a connection as nearly anything else would be. IMHO, micro-usb is far too flimsy. Connecting to PC is far more problematic than just using the spider mobile app. It's probably a little more complicated than it should be for a beginner, but it's feature rich for the money.Nic T
I had a Line 6 120w amp for years that I regrettably sold a while ago and was looking for another amp. I looked at all the amp reviews I could find and decided that the new Katana was the way to go. I got the Katana home and absolutely loved it but the second day I had it it started a really loud buzzing that I couldn't stop. It probably was an easy fix but the fact is the amp was way too powerful for my purposes and their software wasn't compatible with the new Catalina OS. I returned and started looking again. I saw the 60w Spider V and the price was excellent so I made an on the spot decision to buy another Line 6 and I'm really glad I did. The tones this amp can get are incredible. There are so many amp models and cabs that you can dial in pretty much any tone you want from a crispy snapback country clean to the most vicious heavy metal and everything in between. You can use the presets as they are or you can use them as a baseline and tweak to your own liking or you can start from scratch and build your own rig from the ground up. The controls are intuitive and easy to use but there are some features where you'd have to be a professional to really know how to use or even care to use. The software and the mobile app are so easy to use and give you all the options at your fingertips. The amp comes with a lot of presets that I find are completely useless but there are a lot that are excellent as I already talked about. There are only four empty slots for your own custom presets and I wish there were more but if you use the mobile app you can have your own tone library on there. I bought the FBV3 foot controller so that gives me a lot of flexibility to have various effects. One of the limitations is the lack of good effects though. There's enough that if you work at it you can get a decent sound but there could be some better ones. Overall I would recommend the amp. Don't listen to the naysayers or the amp snobs, it's a quality amp and extremely versatile.Just Plain Joe

Overall: I bought a VT40X used this summer and I've been floored. I have Mesa Boogie and Frenzel tube amps so I can compare sounds anytime and don't have to play solid state if I don't want to. When it's evening or late night and I want to be nice to the neighbors this thing comes out and I don't have to feel deprived at all. The Dumble (Boutique OD) in particular gives beautiful rounded bell tones at all volume levels and reacts naturally to increased gain. British 800 sounds like what its intended to mimic. I expected to hate the speaker but it seems fine. The software is needed so that you can tweak the amp to get exactly what you want. It's a bit of a pain but worth it. The user interface on the amp is pretty terrible but once you're set up you won't need to change it very often. Overall this is a gem of a small amp that could stand up to small gigs with no problem as long as you can get it up off the floor on a chair or stand. I'd buy another one of these anytime, and highly recommend it for beginners who need to find their sound and decide what hardware will be best for them. Buy one of these, figure it out and then go spend on pro gear later. You'll keep the VT40X, it's a great bedroom or livingroom amp.Rick
I have played the acoustic guitar for years and played in pubs and all sorts. I’ve never had an amp at home so have been looking at the right one for ages. You don’t need effects peddles to get started with this one – save your money it has many settings built in with the Tone Room app where you can save the effects not only within the Amp but within the app too. I have a Telecaster and I tried it on a few amps. Yes the Marshall CODE is excellent too so you won’t go either with either in what you finally choose, but this is just so much fun. The Valves – oh my, so when I was at school there was a dusty valve amp that I played on and I LOVED it turns out it was a VOX so obvs going back to what I played on at school. A lovely lovely piece of kit and amazing value for money. You can play it really loud and I bet great for a small gig or practicing, playing with others. Did lots of research. Went for this after a Fender Mustang I bought crashed twice the day I got it. First off this thing is loud if needed. Sound good at low volume too. A little tricky to program online but after a little practice it gets easy. 8 presets is plenty too. Only drawbacks are: no line out (just mic it), not Bluetooth capable for streaming in your tunes and programming the channels, and to connect to a laptop it needs a mini usb which is not too common these days. But overall very satisfied with this purchase. Oh and not made in China too is a plus.Steve

After joining mf rewards club and making several purchases I bought my vox for about half price by applying my points to the purchase. I should have never waited. This vox is 10 times better than the cheaper brands. As soon as I opened the packaging and held it in my hand I could feel the quality. When I first plugged it in and started playing I got really upset. Not at the mini amp but at myself for waiting so long. I highly recommend buying this mini amp. Trust me. The one set back I have experienced, is that the plug in jack does not lock in a position, it has loosened with use. If you require to free your amPlug2 sound from the confines of headphones, Vox also offer a mini, 2 watt, amPlug2 amp/speaker to which you attach your amPlug2 and play out loud (but not loud enough to annoy the neighbours. The AC30CH is the AC30 only more so! The Vox Reactive Attenuator lives up to it's promise. Couple the head with the V212 Greenback-loaded cabinet and open the amp up, and even on 1/3 watt you get something incredibly close to Vox tones at bedroom levels, but still have the option of 3 watts (small club loud), and the full fat 30 watts (aircraft hanger loud!). The effects loop is also a welcome addition, and can be bypassed for those who prefer, and the head can be set of 8 or 16 ohms, so will work with other cabinets. Just amazing tones that can be dial from clean leads to warm crunch. The tone palettes covers most genres from blues, pop to rock. Pedal friendly (treble booster “wink”) I had it for months and been using it at church and had compliments about the sounds I’m getting with the Vox AC30. It has a Fx loop for time based effects, you can bypassed it if you wish to run your effects in front of amp and the best of all there is a switch on the back to attenuate volume and have bedroom levels and minimum stage noise, there is no noticeable loss of tone or use a reactive load for the same purpose. All in all this is just a great amp it has become my workhorse, great tone variety you just can go wrongErick

This thing is not only loud but the high and low ends sound so damn good. Especially if your signal is "all analog". No doubt the amp is incredible, the tubes are huge! Speaker is really good. I gotta say tho it is missing the warmth that something like a deluxe reverb, but hey its nit-picking at this level. Last amp you will ever need if you're a Vox fan. hear this amp on youtube and figured i would give it a shop. i had no always liked vox amps but didn't like the weight of the ac30 or the thin sound of the ac15. as i got better and better at playing the guitar and also playing in the band i had gone through almost every amp out there. i was always disappointed with each and everyone. lately i bought and performed with the supro dual tone and fell in love with it. great cleans and pretty good distortion! i was surfing through youtube and came across the ac30 s1 and thought that is interesting, one speaker and lighter weight. what took vox so long to come up with that idea. so i bought it and couldn't wait to get it home and try it. i can honestly say that i have never been been blown away initially by any amp i have bought. well, that all changed today! what an amp! i was blown away at the clean tone with beautiful bottom end and when i turned the gain knob up, holy cow, pure distortion heaven! so easy to dial in any tone on the fly! i even tried some pedals in from of it and again it sounded great. but, honestly i think it sounds best when it stands alone! maybe when you use accent pedals, like delay or chorus, pedals like that it shines also. overall i can't praise it enough! buy on and you'll see!JR
I found this amp to be a welcomed addition to the Vox line up. As expected, I really liked the 1×12 format for its reduction in weight. The simplicity of the controls also was a welcomed featured. The only thing I didn't care for was the speaker choice. Having it for several months, I thought that after breaking it in it might improve, but I just don't feel this particular speaker is a good choice for this amp. With that said though, you could easily swap it out for something you prefer. I'd still recommend the amp!Jason B.

I had to make myself stop playing this Amp long enuf to write my review. This 30 watt 1 X 12 Celestion V30 Tube Stack simply Rocks my World! Bucket List item for me! Always wanted a Tube Stack with a creamy rich mid – range and a narly distortion channel. Foot switch turns reverb and overdrive on and off. 3 band EQ, 1/4" speaker cable. I love me some pedals and they blend well with this Amp. Quality build. Simply the best Amp my Guitars have played. Jazzmaster , Kramer and Mike Rowan all sound amazing. Very nice tones from this amp, clean or dirty! I have been using it mic’d with a 609 clone, haven’t had the chance to crank it yet. I use a roadhouse Strat and fine on the dirty channel with the gain at 5 I can get a great, clear cleanish tone, and then hit the Strats preamp and have some nice grit! Not fizzy fuzzy grit, but nice organic breakup that is very pleasing to the ear. I run a TC Plethora in the FX loop and get great results, no jump or drop in volume, just sounds natural. For some extra gain I use a Boss OD200 into the front of the amp, glorious!! Quite surprising that an amp of this build and sound quality is available at this price point but it is and I’m glad I pulled the trigger on it. Looks to be plywood for amp cab and speaker cab, nice touch. All this and a V30 speaker! I don’t know when or if the speaker will “break in” but I’ll be using the amp mic’d most of the time so it may take awhile, and honestly couldn’t imagine it sounding any better! Only had it a few days, and haven’t moved it since I set it up so I can’t speak for how long it will last in the long run, but fingers are crossed.Ronald
Just received my stack on 3/16/20. Packaged great!. Overall build quality is very very good no particle board here all real solid wood cabinet for the head , speaker with a nice ply baffle I think it's 3/4 ". Light weight. Asthetics ,cosmetics tolex and Grill cloth with piping perfect. Reverb is digital no tank or Springs here it is not tube driven. Bright switch works great pedal for Reverb and gain Channel works great extra-long cable to connect the head to the cabinet with power cord great. Clean tones on this amp whether a low or hi channel are amazing . kind of somewhere between vox/ marshall cleans. Definitely Fender sounding w bright switch. Gig Worthy!. Loud amp!. Digital Reverb is okay. You must turn it up to around 4 or 5 to hear it. It's clean channels are where this amp shines . On the gain channel, Ican get some good tones but not super high gain here more in the classic rock 1960- 1970's tone. Great but no super High gain. Kinda on the thinner side, Not very Fat. 3 chinese 12ax7, ( maybe a swap out in this area may give better tone), all 4 el84 Are Eurotube JJ'S!!!! So happy to see this. Celestion V30 spkr cab sounds great, full with depth. Classic rock tone!. Highly recommended..strange looking chinese power tnsfrmr, but Ot looks good. I use this in my basement studio for playing and recording. It has a wide range of very cool sounds and what seems like countless options to combine them (from wild reverb/delay effects to overdrive/fuzz). It's kind of daunting to get a setting you like and remember how to get it again, because of all the combinations of setting options. This would be a great value in a small amp except for two things: 1. Lots of extra noise and hiss (I checked and it wasn't the guitar or cables – I tried several) 2. The "on-off" button doesn't always work when trying to turn it off. I usually have to unplug the 9V adapter that comes with the amp in order to turn it off.Russell

It is loud, it is heavy, it has tone and warm sustain that goes on for days. I bought this as a back up to my Marshall JCM900 Combo and I'll be honest…I am starting to play with the Vox more! No, it is not a Marshall, for sure it is not. But it has a great "British" sort of tubie sound that reminds me more of the stuff Orange or HiWatt put out. Without a pedal it handles everything just short of the most hardcore thrasher metal. If you play bluesy metal like Hendrix or Led Zep type stuff this amp will be EXACTLY what you are looking for. It's a bit heavy (70#+) and I wish it came out of the box with casters but other than that…for this price? It smokes what Line 6 & Crate had to offer me, that's for sure. And it sounds better than those "fake transistor" MG series Marshalls. I have not gigged it yet but it is plenty loud and I am sure where I play (small-medium clubs) this will be perfect.proslogion
When I first got the VOX VT50 I liked it and the features. But now it is a huge paper weight and sounds rough. I am an electrical engineer, and asked VOX / KORG for a schematic of this amp so I can fix it. They told me that I can't get one and that I must take it to an authorized repair center. (Their thinking is that after I get the estimate for repair, somehow I will buy another amp from them. NOT!) I spend my days designing complex circuits, have a complete PCB build and repair center here, for my control systems and am an expert in electronics, so why in heck would I ever send any of my electronics out to someone else to repair? hear this amp on youtube and figured i would give it a shop. i had no always liked vox amps but didn't like the weight of the ac30 or the thin sound of the ac15. as i got better and better at playing the guitar and also playing in the band i had gone through almost every amp out there. i was always disappointed with each and everyone. lately i bought and performed with the supro dual tone and fell in love with it. great cleans and pretty good distortion! i was surfing through youtube and came across the ac30 s1 and thought that is interesting, one speaker and lighter weight. what took vox so long to come up with that idea. so i bought it and couldn't wait to get it home and try it. i can honestly say that i have never been been blown away initially by any amp i have bought. well, that all changed today! what an amp! i was blown away at the clean tone with beautiful bottom end and when i turned the gain knob up, holy cow, pure distortion heaven! so easy to dial in any tone on the fly! i even tried some pedals in from of it and again it sounded great. but, honestly i think it sounds best when it stands alone! maybe when you use accent pedals, like delay or chorus, pedals like that it shines also. overall i can't praise it enough! buy on and you'll see!JR
I found this amp to be a welcomed addition to the Vox line up. As expected, I really liked the 1×12 format for its reduction in weight. The simplicity of the controls also was a welcomed featured. The only thing I didn't care for was the speaker choice. Having it for several months, I thought that after breaking it in it might improve, but I just don't feel this particular speaker is a good choice for this amp. With that said though, you could easily swap it out for something you prefer. I'd still recommend the amp!Jason B.

Ok, who has the years to track down all these amps, the money to buy them, and the time to play with them? 22 classic amps from 1950s to 1990s, plus 11 guitar pedals. Me, I needed an education about all these amps. I decided I like the Vox AC50 sound best. This amp is damn loud too, plugged into 2 12s it makes my ears bleed. I did make a speaker jack plate on the back that cuts out the 8", too small to do this amp justice. I only play it through 12" speakers now. I thought of separating the head into it's own cabinet, but not really necessary. I haven't gotten into programming my special sounds, because there's like 3 sounds I play all the time. One issue was the headphone and guitar jacks are made of aluminum, so they crackle. I fixed easy that with some Dielectric Grease on the guitar plug. I did not take this amp seriously until I recognized it was the one I played all the time, was the easiest to use, and no need for a daisy chain of pedals to maintain.andropogon_scorparius
This is a great multi-purpose amp. I has a wide variety of sounds and effects that are all easy to use and they sound great. I've owner many amps in my lifetime and this amp is by far the best bang for the buck. The tube pre-amp gives you a warmer sound than most solid state amps and Vox solid state amps sound so good that they can fool you into believing they're tube amps. I highly recommend this as a practice amp, recording amp, or gig amp if you mic it. It's great.dtyesthatdt13

Overall: I purchased the Greenback version in order to save a little money about 6 years ago from zZounds. This was my first tube amp, so the difference in my tone to me was so stark that I would have immediately rated it 5 stars across. Now that I’m a little older, a little wiser, I’m still giving it 5 stars across. I did, however, replace the greenbacks with Alnico Blues, and it made a world of difference, pushing this from a good amp into great amp territory. One word of warning: this is a bright amp, even into the normal channel. It is very finicky with drive pedals. The Fulltone OCD, Crowther Hotcake, Boss MD-2, and Boss Metal Zone are the one I ended up having luck with. You can also crank it for “that” sound. Everything else sounds absolutely fantastic. It’s a famed amp for a reason.Preston
AC30 is a classic high-headroom pedal platform, and it is well known in certain genres. As a Hard Rock / Heavy Metal player they wouldn't be my first choice, until I made the decision to try for a project. I was quite surprised by the results. You can get quite a punchy and tight sound with an overdrive/distortion pedal or preamp as well as a gentle sound when needed. With those 2×12 G12Ms you have a quite a range of genre's you can cover. Finally I can make the sounds I have been hearing in my head (minus the voices) and trying to achieve all these years!!! Not sure why I waited so long and tried so many other amps!…..dont get me wrong I have a Hate/Love relationship with my Fender HRDX and my Vox AC30 VR, but this blows them away!! I can use Top Boost or Normal or jump the channels with a full pedal board. Takes pedals exceptionally well and the sound it makes with a Tube Screamer are second to none!!l…..USE THE EFFECTS LOOP!!!! In mine I use in this order, EQ, Flanger, Chorus, and Delay and it just sounds wonderfull……….watch as many videos as you can to make your decision………the Vox AC30C2 with Greenbacks is amazing! I did try to use A/B/Y to use one channel for clean and one for distorted…….but settled on just putting pedalboard into Top Boost and jumping the Normal channel. Sweet sounds!!
