Used Fender Guitar Cases For Sale (Jan 2023 Update)

I received one of these cases with me Fender American Elite Shawbucker Stratocaster. I've loved the case, no problems and has alot of protection. I decided to buy a "beater" Fender Player Strat that I didn't have to worry as much about as my other premium guitars. It unfortunately does not come with a case. I was a little worried it wouldn't fit the same, but it's perfect. This case can definitely take a beating and protect your precious guitar. I highly recommend this case if you need a case for a Stratocaster.Michael

This case fit my MIJ Jazzmaster like a dream! I was able to get a discount with Musician's Friend as the previous case I was going to buy was on backorder. This case has far better specs than the SKB case I was going to buy and its well worth the money. Supports the neck properly, and has a nice compartment. The only thing I wish this case had more of was I wish the compartment was big enough to fit extra pickguards. Its a minor gripe and still has plenty of room for tuners, strings, picks, and the trem arm. Bottom Line: If you have a Jazzmaster that you're going to travel with or you want to keep it safe, then this is a must buy!Tim

Ok yes the build quality is decent and it's good looking. Don't just accept other reviews at face value that this is some kind of panacea of quality. It's fine. Probably wouldn't hold up to heavy regular use but for medium to light use it should be fine. The carrying handle on particular looks like it would wear out quickly. I don't gig a lot anymore so the price/quality seemed good. My biggest complaint and the reason I'm returning it is the sizing is kind of absurd. It's way too big. I bought mainly to use with a Strat and there are big gaps all the way around. Cases of any type only work well when the fit is snug. If there is slop, bad things happen. I've traveled with many types of instruments over the last 20 years and the ones that have never been damaged were the ones that were well fitted in their cases. Picture attached with Strat.DR

This model checks of most of the basic features today's players expect from a high-end gig bag, and does so at an amazing price! The fabric, stitching and padding are top notch. The accessory pocket is classy – I like the removeable pouch that is perfect for a trem arm and setup tools. This gig bag is very ergonomic and is easy to carry. Obviously designed to fit a strat like a glove it may not fit other guitars as well. I did managed to get my Fernandes Retrorocket in it, even with the angled reverse headstock, but it was a bit too muck work. My Warmoth body Strat fits perfectly. Strat/Tele owners should jump all over this insane value. I couldn't be happier.Tim H.

The Fender Jumbo Acoustic Case is pretty amazing considering it was $69! Lid and latch alignment are spot on. Interior is plush, clean and padded in the right spots. Outside there is slight tolex separation at side seam and slight glue exposure along bottom edge seam but, overall very clean tight workmanship. It fits my Yamaha jumbo very well. Plenty durable for my purposes – going from the house to the car.yawnotec

Purchased Fender's T-bucket Bass a few months ago, but the store didn't have the case. They had to order and the price with shipping was outrageous for me to buy. last week saw the cost of the case with free shipping and to me,from MusiciansFriend. Purchased and a deal that made sense. I have quite a few guitars and they all have cases, Hard Shell. This hard shell case is the perfect fit for my T-Bucket Bass. Perfect bag for the strat mini. It keeps the guitar protected with enough space for some essentials accessories – cable, tuner, etc. I bought this for my 8 year old daughter and the straps to use as a backpack are perfect for her to carry.Octavio

My grand daughter has. 3/4 size strat and finding a hard shell case that wasn't custom was impossible for under 1000 bucks. So I found this case and while not hard shell it is very very adequate. It protects the guitar and is easy her to carry. If you need this type of case this fender product will not disappoint.TOMMY

This case is 3/4 size and fits the Squier Mini Stratocaster like a glove. Soft microfiber inside and polyester denier on the outside like luggage material is tough. It has about 3/8 or 10 mm per side of padding. If your looking for travel or professional case for your guitar this is not the case for you as it can be punctured or impact the instrument inside during travel. This is for home usage and light travel to lessons or just protect the guitar around the house. It has straps for carrying the guitar like a backpack and a handle, with a pocket on the front for a music book or accessories. Overall a great buy and good value for money.diesel85944

Not worthy of being called fender. It's like I bought a knock off brand. This was supposed to be for a Christmas present and so I ordered the dark blue one. It had the same issue of the leather falling off on the inside. The only thing keeping it together was a thin amount of glue. It was falling apart. So we returned it for another one. And got this light blue one. The problem was worse. We are having to glue it on ourselves. But honestly this is unacceptable. Not only was the leather unglued but there was several holes in the outside, and the fender logo inside is just plastic wrap on top of a metal button. My husband is dealing with it because I got it for him but I expected better. He loves fender, and I notice quality details right away and this wasn't it. They need to reevaluate what they are doing to save money. Definitely would not gonna buy again or recommend to anyone that wants a case that will last a long time. All of them on the store were like this by the way.Clarissa

I had read some negative review in the past so I was a little hesitant but the one I got arrived in perfect condition (quality materials, latches all line up, etc.) and just looks fantastic. One thing I would like others to know (should be more common knowledge and the case should come with a small instruction sheet, for which I would give a Fender/G&G a full 5/5 stars), is that at first you might think the case is a little small because of the padding — it is actually fine as long as you know that you need to "pre-squish" the sturdy padding and then properly insert the guitar (and also let it get settled for a bit). Indeed, this particular tweed case has very sturdy padding where the headstock and bottom of the guitar touch (also a little on the sides). This is a good thing in the long run but at first it appears as if the guitar might not fit (either a Tele or Strat with regular size headstock). There are forums explaining that it is best to put the head stock in first and then slowly push the bottom in. I would also add another very important step before that… With a little patience and elbow grease (but careful not to overdo it), spend a bit of time carefully squishing down the padding on both ends. After a little while, check (and re-check as necessary) to see if the guitar is getting easier to fit in (be especially careful with the high "e" string tuner when test fitting to avoid getting bad pressure on it). Your patience will pay off when you get to the point where the guitar fits very snug all around (without any loose movement). I suppose they could use more squishy material for the padding for an easier initial fit but it seems that would risk a loose fit in the long term. Since these cases are more for vintage vibe than, say, super-duty TSA-approved for heavy travel, it is more good than bad that the padding needs a bit of initial coaxing to get the best fit so it stays more snug long term.JOSE

I've owned numerous G&G cases over the years and currently own two that came with my 70th anniversary Broadcaster and AVRI 62 Telecaster and this case is not the same quality as those. The first thing I noticed is that this case is extremely light. That's because it's made of thin, flimsy material and the top will flex under light pressure.The overall quality is nowhere close to the older G&G cases; tolex, latches, handle…everything. Also, my guitars fit very snugly in the older cases and with this one, my Tele has room to slide back and forth about a quarter of an inch. These cases aren't bad, they're just not great quality and what you'd expect from G&G. In my opinion they're a little overpriced for what you get, too. Also, be aware that the "orange" plush interior is closer to red than orange and does not look like the photos.Adam

TL/DR: 10/10 would recommend, even at the higher price point compared to other case stands. Best case stand because it also looks great on its own VS basic racks. This tweed guitar rack/display stand from Fender is exactly what I was looking for to store a few electrics in my new home studio. The tweed shell with red crushed interior looks great and more era-correct (than typical black metal racks) for my 50's Custom Shop Jazzmaster & Nocaster, along with an R8 Les Paul. I have wanted a floor rack, versus wall hangers like I've used in the past, and this case rack definitely makes the room look professional and a little bit nicer than the typical floor stands you usually see. I also love that it's an actual Fender branded case and the tweed & crushed red interior exactly matches my Fender guitar cases. The floor of the case has movable foam-core & crushed wrapped spacers. They are not secured to the floor of the case by any type of velcro, so you can move them around to fid the bottom width of your guitar. I am only using this case for electrics, but you could easily store an acoustic, but understand you will not be able to fit 5 (or 7 depending on the model case you buy) electrics IF you are also storing an acoustic. If you are looking for a sturdy, attractive and Fender branded display for your nicest guitars, this should be at the top of your list. Since I own a few Fender & Gibson Custom Shop guitars, I wanted a really nice case display for them, and having a Fender branded tweed case, for me, was a no brainer. I am also looking at the black Tolex version for my 60's guitars, as this keeps them era-correct and really finishes up the look of a studio.LG

I bought this bag to carry my Gibson ES 175 to gigs, since the hard case is heavy and I have too much stuff to carry already. It is light-weight, keeps its shape sufficiently to provide support and as much protection as you can expect from a bag, yet I can fold it in half and stash it inside another gear bag to get it out of the way on the stand. It has comfortable backpack straps, which is great if you have to walk any distance with your hands full of music and keys or whatever. It has three compartments on the front, each easily accessible and ideal for picks, tuners, metronomes, extra strings, foot stands, iPad, or however much you dare put up against your precious guitar. The largest compartment appears to be big enough to fit standard 8-1/2×11 paper, though I'm all digital these days. Best of all, it has two handles — one on the front and one on the side, invaluable when sliding your guitar in and out of the car.DNWord

I was looking for an affordable case preferably made by Fender for my new Tele. I took a punt and choose this urban style tele bag. It actually fits the guitar very well with little excess room. You cant fit too much stuff in the pockets but its just right for my needs. Feels quite well made, good size, some padding, a couple of pockets, a nice/different colour (which makes me a bit dizzy if I stare at it for too long 🙂 and an extra handle above the pockets. Really like this bag. Cant fault it for the price. Would recommend.700long

Perfect fit for my 2018 Modern Player Telecaster Plus. Substantial construction, sturdy locks, thick padding shaped just right. A bit on the heavy side, but it is worth it for the protection it offers.CappuccinoGuy

The plush lining was nice and it fit well, Without a guitar strap. I did not like the metal feet on the bottom and back of the case. They slid on smooth surfaces and one of them had been hit during manufacturing or packaging and was loose inside the back. These feet were not screwed in, just held in with a push in rivet. I replaced all 8 of them with screw in rubber feet from home depot. Much better.Kerry

I love the fact that it has 2 storage compartments with lids and it fits my strat pretty well . This is definitely not a case that is meant to be taken on the road , but it is perfect for keeping my guitar safe and dust free in my home . Some of the seams in the pleather don't line up and it does seem a bit flimsy but I expected that at this price point . So if you just want to keep your guitar safe and dust free in your home, get it . But if you plan to use this for gig's you should look elsewhere .PAUL
