Overall: Upon delivery, packaging was noticeably well done. After romoving the case from the packaging i was immediately happy with my purchase. I bought the ash colored sleeve and it looks perfect. The bass that im storing inside is the new Shecter J4, also purched from zZounds and delivered in perfect condition as well. I digress, the sleeve is study and fits great. Plenty of room in the main pocket for new strings, a couple pedals, tuner, cables, pretty much whatever i would need to take along. Definitely work the price for such a great looking gig bag.T.j.
I've had this case for two years now, it will protect your bass well and it is made of high quality material which is not likely to get torn easily. This is as far as it goes for me on the upside. It is incredibly uncomfortable for anyone whose back isn't flat and the straps are two close to each other. I'm riding about half a mile on my bike with it a couple of times a week and I always finish the ride with neck pain. The pocket is diagonical for some reason and you can't fit your stuff nicely without having them all rumbled up a few steps later. Also, the flap…who thought of that? Avoid this case, there are alternatives with sufficient protection and much better back and neck support as well as decent storage space.Ronypony
Very well thought out gig bag. The ability to load upright is very nice. As is the little office pocket on the top of the headstock. The rubber "boot" is light and bouncy, and the extra thick padding is very protective. Shoulder straps are comfy too, and the big pockets hold a lot if needed. Mono should mention that these will hold a JUMBO. My Taylor LKSM 12 string just fits in it. Somehow a GC does not slop around much either!!! I now have three… Hope this helps someone.guitars44me

Purchased this case for my Fender Precision Bass. Mostly, will be kept in my studio, and occasionally on a few short gigs. Case seems sturdy, and I like the compartment size suitable for a strap, cable, etc. Also features a locking latch which is very handy. Pricewise, its a very nice case for my needs, without going into more expensive flight cases for touring. Very satisfied and should last for quite a while. Would buy this product again. Cheers!penlan-6941-us
Decent case for the money. Dimensions are a little off from whats advertised. Lower bout width is around 13-1/4 instead of 13-1/2 so my BC Rich Eagle fits a little snug. Overall, no more than I use it, itll work. Sure beats paying $300 for the actual BC Rich case. Also, if your headpiece sets at a steeper angle, it will put pressure on the headpiece. Depth is more for a Fender style headpiece.xv1700at3

Reviews:
I think the price of guitar cases are totally inflated and to get one on sale is something one has to do to stretch the dollar. Okay, that being said, this case fits my China made Fender strat Squier to a tee. The eye catching tweed fits the Fender vibe. If you noticed my cons was durability i.e. the cases tweed look is attractive, but you wonder as road gigs pile up if the tweed doesnt start to tear and expose the raw components exterior of the case underneath? If they had lacquered the tweed exterior, the case itself would have a fighting chance to slip and slide into vans and carriage areas with little thought of rips and tears it would acquire in a short time. Again, I dont gig much these days, but if I was looking at a case long term that could withstand the road, this case would questionable unless you "handle with care" when you transport and load and unload your gear.James R
I didn't feel like spending over $200 and waiting until who knows when, for a Gibson Explorer case, so I picked one of these up. For the money, it's a good case. I carry my guitars with me to shows, so they are always in my vehicle, so this case does the job. I will say it feels a tad more sturdy than the Gator version of this case, and it's slightly smaller, which is a good thing given how large an Explorer case has to be. The only improvement I could wish for, is to make it tad smaller still. There's still several inches of room from the headstock to the edge of the case. Overall, for the money, I'm very happy with the case.Tony
I purchased this knowing that it wouldn't be a super durable road case but adequate for storage and playing out now and then. In those ways, it met my expectations. The case is made of very thin plywood, but not so flimsy that it can't function as a good light duty case. The hardware appears to be of decent quality and all of the latches lined up well. The lining was neatly applied and actually fairly soft and plush. It is a universal fit case, so I wasn't expecting it to be completely form fitting to my Telecaster. It will move around a bit in the case when you transport it. It could use better neck support, as well. But overall, not bad for the price. Where this product really came up short is with the application of the tweed covering. The tweed was applied over wood chips and small voids in the wood frame. No effort was made in sanding or prepping the wood prior to applying the cover material. This is only cosmetic, but looks really sloppy and substandard. Maybe I just got a rough one. I didn't expect perfection at this price, but I don't think this case ever should have left the factory like this.Pat

Reviews:
It's not pricey and not meant to protect from everything…..but as a storage bag at home or to take to practice or a local gig here and there it's totally fine. The big pocket is great for cables and a tuner to store in there. Also the back pack straps are a nice feature for this price level. Go for it!
I noticed on the inside there is some extra material to protect the strings and pickups from whatever it is you put in the pocket of the gig bag. It's not a lot of extra material but it's something. I like how it has two straps to go over each shoulder rather than one diagonal strap that clamps your neck with most bags. Overall, it's worth what you're paying when it comes to protecting what's inside it.Max

I had a cheaper dual gig bag that I had used for years to get to gigs. But as I got better, my basses got a little higher end and I wanted better protection for them. I had previously purchased a single Mono M80 on a whim and was using that for transport to practice when I usually only need the one bass. It's worked well and held up so I'm sure this dual model will too. I also got the "Tick" to pack-in my necessary cables and gear in one swoop. I can move it between my single M80 for practice and my dual for the gig eliminating the need to bring in my duffle bag of gear. That can stay put in the car with my spares until needed, freeing up a hand for the amp. Mono seems to be a good brand and I trust it to protect what's top end for my budget; my Stingray 5 and my American Deluxe Jazz V.Zeta05
Excellent Bag! Excellent quality!! This bag will last you a life time. My only concern is that it gets very very heavy when you put two basses into it. Right now it is holding two older MM Stingrays, and the bag weighs a ton! It's not a bag that I would constantly carry with me. Despite weight issues its a great bag!Ferd

Since Musicians Friends dropped the price down to thirty fouf, ninety nine, I'd say it's a fair price to pay for a pretty decent gig bag to keep my Fender MIM Strats safe when not in use. The 25mm thick foam padding offers adequate protection. The pockets offer generous room for music and other things I need for the guitars. Now, what I think is really cool about these gig bags, are those Fender guitar pick pull tabs, way cool and totally classy. I'm sure there are countless great gig bags on the market, but my MIM Strats seem to favor these the most. And yes, my Squire Strat is also quite fond of these "nap" sacks.
I bought this bag to carry my Gibson ES 175 to gigs, since the hard case is heavy and I have too much stuff to carry already. It is light-weight, keeps its shape sufficiently to provide support and as much protection as you can expect from a bag, yet I can fold it in half and stash it inside another gear bag to get it out of the way on the stand. It has comfortable backpack straps, which is great if you have to walk any distance with your hands full of music and keys or whatever. It has three compartments on the front, each easily accessible and ideal for picks, tuners, metronomes, extra strings, foot stands, iPad, or however much you dare put up against your precious guitar. The largest compartment appears to be big enough to fit standard 8-1/2×11 paper, though I'm all digital these days. Best of all, it has two handles — one on the front and one on the side, invaluable when sliding your guitar in and out of the car.DNWord
I was looking for an affordable case preferably made by Fender for my new Tele. I took a punt and choose this urban style tele bag. It actually fits the guitar very well with little excess room. You cant fit too much stuff in the pockets but its just right for my needs. Feels quite well made, good size, some padding, a couple of pockets, a nice/different colour (which makes me a bit dizzy if I stare at it for too long 🙂 and an extra handle above the pockets. Really like this bag. Cant fault it for the price. Would recommend.700long

Reviews:
Overall: I honestly bought this bag to keep dust off of my bass. Out of the box, the gig back looks great. Has plenty of pocket space and the color is eye catching. Material feels pretty good, but again, it’s a bag.I’m not completely impressed with it though because:1. Neck is held down by a Velcro strap, no other neck support. 2. Overall protection around the neck is minimal. Found out when door smacked the bag while on my back. Felt the vibration of the wood on my back.
This Ibanez gig bag is well constructed, with fabric and materials that have a nice feel and appearance. The design and style is sharp and sexy, with nice accents in the construction. This is not a fitted bag, and as such it is generous in its dimensions, but not excessively loose that the instrument moves around a lot inside. The bag has well-positioned shoulder straps, a hand strap, and a clever hanger hook at the top. The accessories pocket is generous and can likely accommodate whatever you should need: strap, tuner, cable, cloth, extra strings, etc. It is worth noting that this bag is not superbly padded and will not replace the purpose or value of a proper hard case. However, it will adequately keep your instrument from getting knocked around, dinged and scratched. It is an ideal lightweight cover for transport to gigs or storage at home, but I would not advise loading this into the van between the 4×10 and Twin Reverb.Mars
I have two Ibanez basses. One has its own hard shell case and it's my performance bass. My practice bass however had no case until now. I bought the PowerPad bass guitar gig bag because I was traveling to L.A. by car for a band get-together and wanted to bring my practice bass. I treat my equipment well (or try to) and wanted some protection for it while traveling. Quality-wise it was perfect. Good workmanship, all zippers functional and it seems tough enough to last a long time. After the trip I was quite pleased with the gig bag. The padding is adequate, at least for me because again, I don't throw things around. It sat behind the front seats in the car and I never felt that my bass was in danger. I love the big pockets on the front; they held my coiled cord and my condenser mic & cable. I never got around to using the smaller pocket near the headstock but that's there also. Plenty of handles and different ways to carry it. One of the big things I liked about the bag was the fact that the bottom of the bag is wide, flat and maintains its shape. What that means is I can lean the case up against a wall with the bass inside and it doesn't want to roll off to one side and fall down. Overall, well worth the money. For a gig bag I think there's no reason to look any further.edbeachwood
8. Schecter Sgr-6b Bass Guitar Case

Reviews:
After purchasing the Schecter C Model guitar, I decided a beautiful guitar deserved a beautiful case. Storing my brand new guitar in a used case, it didn't seem right, so I ponied up for the right case that was meant to store such a a masterpiece of an instrument. Rugged, built for wear and tear and looks great! The plush blue lining is thick enough to keep the guitar snug when not being played. Lightweight, durable and good looking.Francie
Ok, so there is only so "fancy" a guitar case can be, right? Wrong. This case is a work of art. First off, it's kind of heavy-which I like. If you plan on carrying it for long distances, you may want to look elsewhere. Secondly, the interior fits my guitar very nicely. There is maybe 1/4" of space around the body of my CR-6,so it isn't snug, but once you latch it down, I can't feel any movement. Thirdly, the blue interior looks awesome. It's velvety, not furry like most cases. Fourthly, the latches look like any other guitar case latches, but they are painted black… they seem like they are coated with something. THEY DON'T MAKE THAT ANNOYING CLACKING NOISE! They open and close very smoothly. Finally, when the guitar is in the case, and you pick up the handle, it balances perfectly. Of course this will differ slightly depending on the guitar, but in my case it works very nicely.etaeniura
Very good buy that was suggested when I bought my Schecter Reaper-7. The guitar fits perfectly in there and doesn't move around at all. The only things I didn't realize when I bought it was that the cutouts for other gear inside the case weren't covered, so if it's not packed in well, there's a chance for it to move around inside. The latches and lock feel a little cheap, but still a good deal for the price. If you're worried about somebody getting into your case or if you want a better luck for say going through a baggage claim, I would look for something a little more expensive with better locks. I don't really have to worry about that, so it's perfect for me. If you want a case mainly for storage, like me, you'll be pleased with this product.Zack G

Overall: See title. I own two gig bags from World Tour. One is an older model and the other is this one. Both are great. They offer a good bit of protection and they aren't too expensive. The materials feel very durable. Other gig bags cost double this and aren't as good. I highly recommend World Tour gig bags to anyone. As a heads up, my short scale bass is able to fit in this deluxe electric guitar bag. I am so happy. The next time I need a gig bag, I will get another one from World Tour.Marshall
Overall: This bag obviously is not the high dollar type of case. However, the material is much better than i had imagined. Relatively thick canvas and solid material. I am especially impressed with the zippers which are very good and give you confidence when opening and closing the bag. It will keep your guitar from sun, rain and water, and relatively light conditions. But this is NOT a protective bag. It is a carry all. It has one pocket to hold your extra stuff that's a pretty good size with two zippers. I would definitely buy another one especially at this price. The bag came with my order of a guitar and fit it perfectly (a Gretsch G5220) Basically, it will just about fit any solid body guitar from a Les Paul to a Strat. Solid purchase in my opinion.Michael
I purchased this gig bag for a Squier Bullet Telecaster, and the guitar fit perfectly. I love the thickness of the padding and features such as the extra nylon pad on the headstock, so the strings don't rip apart the inside of the gig bag, as it happens with so many other ones. The pockets are nice and roomy, definitely more than enough for me. All handles and straps are high quality and feel sturdy, never makes you feel like they're gonna rip out on you. Zippers feel good, they're big and bulky, definitely high quality! You're getting quite a lot of value for the price this gig bag sells for! I've read terrible reviews and seen pictures of big brand gig bags (some of which retail for 2-3 times the price of this one, so I went with this one and can't recommend it enough!Oscar

The seams on the bag came undone, and the bag was gifted to me. Took an hour or two of sewing, and the seams were put together better than new. I have a new free (for me) gigbag. I wish the bag had some way to attach other bags to it or D rings to hold things, but it was free and it works so I'm not complaining. If you order this, don't wait two months to inspect it, that's all I'm saying. Personally, I love it. If it was in pristine condition, how much would I pay for it? Hmm, probably worth a C-note. If price is no object, you can do better. Oh yeah, I use it for my Jazzmaster and it holds any of my other guitars securely. I don't care if it's too long; as I said, it works.Brainiac from the year 2000
This gig bag has a lot of potential. It is designed to perfectly cradle your Fender bass. The bad part smthat the zipper is a low quality zipper for what you would expect for a bass. I put my 5 string American Professional Jazz Bass in the bag but the zipper gave way on the bottom almost causing the bass to fall out. A higher quality zipper would have made this a keeper. I exchanged it for a Road Runner case, less protection, higher quality zipper. Having slightly more protection would have been better, but it wasn't worth the risk of having the zipper give way.DWANE
Excellent Guitar bag, however I ordered the FB620 in error. The FB620 bag is for bass guitar, I thought I had ordered a bag for my Fender Stratocaster. When I discovered my mistake I ordered the correct bag which is FE620 from GAK. The FE620 is an excellent bag and so is the customer service from GAK. I returned the FB620 to GAK and I was refunded on the same day they received the returned FB620. That’s what I call first class customer service.Terence

Very well made gig bag. Holds the guitar cables and tuner etc in 2 decent sized zip pockets on the front. Very thick sturdy material. Jackson Soloist Pro fits like a glove. There is an extra layer of a thick rubber grip on the base of the bag which prevents water/beer soaking the bag and helps keep the bag stable.jonathan5774
It's a new bag with tags, though listed as "used." It's a very tight fit for the Jackson Kelly. You need to put the headstock in first and then work the back up over the body. It's well made and I'm glad it's got fabric corners holding it in and not just the zipper. It's a good substitute for a hard case when you compare the cost of any hard case for these weird-body guitars.frankb360
12. Jackson Gig Bag Js Bass
Product Details:
Specifications:
Finish | Black |
Year | 2018 |
Reviews:
13. Musician's Gear Mgmbg Molded Abs Electric Bass Case
Product Details:
This molded guitar case for electric bass guitars is built road-tough and features a plush interior lining – heavy-duty hardware – interior accessory compartment – and locking fasteners. – fits most electric bass guitars – abs molded construction – ergonomic matching handle – reinforced bottom – plush padded interior with accessory compartment
Reviews:
The molded ABS Exterior is very nice and suggests quality. But the substructure seems flimsy and is subject to some twisting and torque. The interior is very minimalist. It has a layer of black plush padding, but there is no compartment for picks, tuners or other accessories though there is plenty of room for one. The plush padding is very thin and seems cheap. The buckles and handle look and feel cheap. There is a velcro strap to secure the neck, but it looks cheap and not very well secured. It could use a 2nd velcro neck strap for better stability. I'd be concerned about a traveling with a heavy Strat or Telecaster in this case, or flying anywhere, as it may be too much for the case to handle after a while. Basically it's a low end case – but with an ABS Exterior. In my opinion it is not worth the regular price and is only worth considering at the sale price.Gary
I received this just a few days ago after purchasing a used one on clearance through MF. I bought it for a Sire P7 5-string, which it fits perfectly. It arrived in great shape, just about like new, with the exception of a couple of tiny nicks/scuffs you have to look pretty hard to find. The case is literally identical in every meaningful way to the Road Runner ABS bass case, which I have two of for other basses. The only difference is the interior of the Road Runner case is gray, while the MG is black. Materials feel exactly the same, cutouts are exactly the same, dimensions are identical, it has the retaining strap for the neck, and everything externally is completely identical, except that it doesn't say "Road Runner" on it. Having toured extensively with the Road Runner version, I have no doubt that this case will hold up just fine to light touring. I think I even flew with it once, but I wrapped a couple of straps around the outside, "gate checked" it and kept an eye on it. One of the ABS "extrusions/bumpers", for lack of a better descriptor, of the RR version cracked after some use use, but otherwise it has held up well. I expect the MG variety will do the same. For the price difference, it's a no-brainer. Get the MG. They're exactly the same in every way that matters. As long as you're not flying regularly with it, or allowing drunken roadies to toss it roughly into the back of a bus or trailer, it will hold up just fine.Bass Fella
Had my eye on one of these for a long time, so I finally pulled the trigger and glad I'm did. This case will suit my needs nicely. Fits 26.5" scale Jackson Dinky or Soloist almost perfectly. The headstock just barely grazes the plush lining, and it is not obstructed or pressed against the floor of the case. I couldn't ask for a much better fit. This case will be used for general transport to and from rehearsals, and I have no doubt that it will excel in that. However, I must agree with some other reviews here in regards to road-worthiness. I would not happily rely on this case to protect my axes from the rigors of a grueling world tour, but it's perfect for the hometown hero or simple transport. The outer ABS shell is flimsier than a real deal SKB, but seems sufficiently durable and decent for the price range. The interior is very soft, and cradles my instruments nicely. The security neck strap is a nice touch. Storage areas flanking the neck have plenty of room for a strap and other accessories, but no lids means keeping a trem bar there could be a little risky. I've found a pack of D'Addarios fits in the spaces nicely however, kind of making a makeshift lid, so there is that. The hardware on the outside of the case is sufficient, but not great. Things lock into place well enough, but when not locked they are pretty loose feeling. I'm confident they'll hold up, but I'm not blown away. The aluminum channels around the sides fit together well enough once locked, but I'm sure its not waterproof. There is an audible "click" when closing the case from the aluminum channels kind of snapping into place on the back. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. I got this case for a very stupid deal.(MF's Reward program ROCKS) For the price I paid, I am thrilled with it. However, the story would likely be a bit different had I paid full price. Make no mistake, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it that I have found.. it's just… adequate. But overall, Happy with my purchaseSkinnedpuppy

Reviews:
The case is looks and functions perfectly. I have 2 ml's and both guitars fit no problem. I will say one is a way tighter fit then the other. My only complaint would be that the guitar does not sit flat and flush. The neck cradle holds the guitar at a incline. This does not seem to effect the way the case works or holds guitar, just something I noticed. When in doubt.. Wammy it out
My Peace Sells VMNT fits very snug – there is no movement and there is an "indent" in the middle of the V to help get the body out. Nice, big storage compartment to fit my big leather strap and probably a couple of pedals. BUT, the interior velour is loose and wrinkled in places, the outside has glue all over, there are loose threads and tattered edges like someone needs to sharpen their scissors, the metal "edges" aren't fitted properly, the lid doesn't meet the bottom square at all, and the hardboard (not plywood) has chunks of something that should have been removed before the vinyl was glued over. I waited 6 months for this case direct from Dean, and it looks like it was time to go home from the factory when it was made by the new guy. I don't think Dave Mustaine would be too happy putting his name on this case, although I don't see his name anywhere. I paid less for an aluminum flightcase, and expected MUCH better quality to protect my beloved axe. This isn't MF's fault, just want to warn others. I hope I just got the bad one and the others are fine. 🙁Sid Malicious
I bought this for an Epiphone Korina V after seeing a review that said it was a perfect fit. I was concerned when it arrived as it looked like it may be too small. Boy, was I wrong! It is an ABSOLUTELY PERFECT FIT. I didn't like the shape of the Epiphone case – I wanted more protection around the neck. This case may be heavy as an iron casket and as cumbersome as an aircraft carrier but it provides the best possible protection this side of an Anvil flight case. Not only does it provide greater protection than the Epiphone case, it costs about the same. (I got lucky and found a "Condition 2" blemished model for 20% less and all it had was a scuff the size of a nickel. My case didn't have any flaws in terms of construction like another reviewer experienced with the cases he bought.Les Paul Disciple

Reviews:
The Vertigo is about as good as it gets for gigbags. The top load design really give way to protecting the body of the bass. This case provides more protection than any other gigbag Ive used. I make sure I zip it up when not in use, so stuff doesnt get down in to the bottom of the case. With a traditional fully unzippable case, you can open it up and see the whole area, easily cleaning it. With the Vertigo, you have to take a little extra effort to make sure it stays clean. I love how you can just slip the bass in and the neck holder does a great job of keeping it secure. Ill be offering this case as an upgrade on the basses I build. It doesnt have as many pockets as the other hi-end gigbags such as the ProTec Contego, so you have to buy the extra snap on case to carry stuff like effect pedals or a direct box.gregory1041
This is the best bag to date that I own. Scored it at $190 and free shipping! Safe and secure, I added a tsa bag lock which fit great through the zippers. Very spacious front pocket that is great for holding various cables, books or even my wireless. There is a small netted pocket inside of the larger one, but the design is flawed for holding smaller items. It is a weird boomerang shape that allows items to slide down the side. If youre looking for a great, safe, well built bag for holding a strap, cable, tuner and possibly a small collapsible bass stand then this one will get the job done! I also picked up the tick for easier access for business cards, a soft cloth, some tools and my primary cable. Now its a portable office!ocdman2012
Superb bass gigbag. Offers excellent protection, while being light and portable. Very well made, quality design and material. Particularly like the "boot", top loading design and hard wearing "sharkskin" exterior. Quite pricey but worth it to protect a prized instrument. Would prefer internal lining to be tauter and tougher, maybe stitched and quilted. Would buy again and particularly recommend to gigging players using cars or public transport.Mr G. S.

It's adequate. Not really bad. but not really that good. It provides minimal protection like most gig bags but it has some large and very spacious external pockets. Personally I would recommend spending a few more dollars and getting the World Tour Deluxe Gig Bag. The padding is much more substantial and the zippers are of a higher quality. Summary: For $20 it ain't bad. Visually the giant American flag graphic is really cool.shellback1995
