This case is for an original Dobro resonator guitar that is signed by one of the Dopera brothers that I purchased back in 1973-74. I bought a guitar case that had some problems and ended up putting some divots in the sides of the guitar. It made me sick that it happened. I had the damage repaired by an amazing craftsman, and in order that it never happens again, I purchased this case. Needed a case for a roundneck resonator (Regal RD-40), and didn't want to spend a lot. The classical size might have worked, but I went with this case. There is some room for movement, and the square neck shaped cavity allows the roundneck a slight bit of play, but not enough to be a problem. All in all, for the price, these cases are great. Definitely not a flight or touring case, but for car travel and protection at home in the guitar harem, I couldn't be happier. The most important thing is that my Sire A4 Grand Auditorium (GA) (with cutaway) is slightly wider at the bulge in the bottom width of the guitar compared to a typical dreadnaught acoustic. After much research, I found even the Sire softshell case is TOO small for the Sire A4 Grand auditorium body width across it's widest point. I returned a couple of different cases to Sweetwater (which they did with VERY little issue). TBH, it was probably me that didn't realize the dreadnaught version of the acoustic is slightly narrower in width compared to the GA. Bottom line: The gator cases I've owned in the past have ALL been great for the price. I paid about $150 for this one, and it fits and seems to be very high quality. I don't gig anymore, so I can't give you a review of how it would handle an actual 3 month tour with roadies handling it. I just don't have that experience anymore. My positive recommendation for this case simply comes from the fit, the initial quality, the reasonable price, and the piece of mind to feel your acoustic is protected. Also, I buy from Sweetwater because they have made it SUPER EASY to end up with the right piece of equipment. Their customer service doesn't suck. Jeff
I just recently purchased a Yamaha FS-TA (TransAcoustic) guitar which is a smaller concert body. I couldn't find any case that my guitar would fit into like a glove. Many headaches later and after tons of research, bingo! This is the perfect case. I have to admit there was another case by Road Runner which was for a classical guitar that was a good fit. However, its build was not very good. It had stitching that was coming apart. So do yourself and fork up the extra cash because it's worth it!Richie

Pros: Super nice looking (I got the gray). Stiffer than other gig bags, has an adjustable neck support inside, and has more padding around headstock and base – all of this will offer really good protection. Rubberized base is great if you have to set the bag down on wet or muddy ground. I also like the pocket for the backpack straps, so you can tuck them away if you're not using them. Roomy main pocket for all of the gear. Nice sturdy handle. Cons: Zipper pulls seem less sturdy and neck pocket is only good for capo, picks, and other thin things. This case is advertised to fit numerous solid body electrics, it should do just fine. The wanna-be Tele copy I am building fits well, my Gibson SG is OK in there as well. I thought I'd just see if the SG fit, it has a Gator hard case it lives in. There's a number of pockets and storage places with zipper closures, and several carry on your body or handle options. The interior has a few removable, and / or moveable spacers held in place with velcro, to fit various body sizes and neck lengths. Even a convenient D ring at the top of the case to hang on a hook or something. The exterior fabric appears to be a tough material, the interior is fairly plush. The sides are not solid, but let's call them resilient, to say the least! Typical Gator Case build quality, I'm glad I bought it. On another note, kudos to the Sam Ash customer reps, who helped resolve a shipping mixup over the Christmas rush. Having a problem with a shipment is one thing, how it gets resolved is what's important, and even though it took a while what with Christmas rush and New Year in the middle of the weeks, eventually the troubles got fixed. PROS: I'm really happy with this case. I wanted something higher quality and nicer looking to go with my beautiful new Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 (which came without a case). I was torn between the black and the beige versions but the beige turned out to be really cool. A little different from the norm and very classy. Materials are great, build quality is great. Obviously, this gig bag is designed for flexibility with many different guitars, so it's not absolutely form-fitting, but it has extra padding that you can manipulate however you like for a really snug fit with your guitar. It also has lots of nice little pockets. CONS: My ONLY gripe is that the laptop pocket has the zipper at an angle, which looks cool but actually shaves off enough room so that my 15" Macbook Pro just barely misses fitting in. If only they had made the zipper straight across instead of at an angle, my mid-sized laptop would have fit in perfectly. There's still a flap that I can secure over it, but I'd feel more comfortable if I could get that zipper closed too. Oh well. 13" and below should easily fit. OVERALL: Highest quality gig bag I've come across. I know that there are one or two other brands that make high end gig bags like this, but the ones I've seen are bulkier and more geared towards being almost hardshell case stand-ins. The Fender Jumbo Acoustic Case is pretty amazing considering it was $69! Lid and latch alignment are spot on. Interior is plush, clean and padded in the right spots. Purchased Fender's T-bucket Bass a few months ago, but the store didn't have the case. I bought this case mainly as a way to keep my acoustic humidified over the winter. So far it's doing a great job at that. My only issue is that the flap to the storage compartment was cut very crooked leaving a pretty sizable gap on one side. Large enough for a Kyser capo to fit through. For a brand like Fender and for this price, I would expect a little better quality control, so I'm taking one star off. It's not enough of a flaw to send back, but it's definitely enough to be disappointing and irritating. Otherwise great case. I would still recommend it.

I bought this case for my vintage 1961 Goya G-10 Acoustic Classical guitar which I love so much. The case is build very well, especially for the price…I was very impressed. The latches are slightly on the loose side of things when latched…but they hold. As for the fit w/ my Goya G-10…..this case fits tight but I think it will take the shape of the guitar a little better as it settles and breaks in over time. The "inside measurements" in the description are very accurate. The coolest thing of all is I tried another old timer favorite acoustic guitar of mine inside this case and it FITS so well with just enough slack inside, IMO is a perfect fit for my departed Grandfathers old acoustic that I grew up noodling on…..a 1964 Silvertone "parlor" size acoustic guitar. So happy it fits in there that I am gonna order another case for the Silvertone and one more for my other Goya G-10. Highly recommend for the Silvertone old 60s parlor guitars for sure!!!!
The Gator GWE ¾ Economy Acoustic Guitar Case is a good fit for a RainSong 12-fret parlor (CH-PA). It took about an hour for the stuffing to compress where closing the case took no minimal extra effort (due to the depth of the RainSong). Here are the numbers in inches: Option: Total Length x Body Length x Lower Bout x Depth; Gator Interior: 38 x 19 x 13.74 x 4; Martin 12 fret 0: 37.75 x 19.125 x 13.5 x 4.0625; RainSong P12: 37.5 x 18.8 x 13.3 x 4.1; An interesting external dimension comparison (my measurements) GSmini Hard Bag: 39 x 16 x 6; Gator GWE ¾: 39.75 x 15.75 x 5.75; This case is not a top-of-the-line wood case and I don't think worthy of being used for checked luggage (maybe no wood case is). But it is as compact as it is going to get and a good option for that occasional gate checked carry-on. Since RainSong makes 12 and 14 fret Parlor guitars, their stock case is likely a couple of inches longer (and probably a more expensive AND HEAVIER case). It appears MF gets them bulk packaged, their shipping box was not that sturdy, and was very beaten up by UPS. There were dents in the case but not enough to bother returning (it is a testament to the case's construction that it was otherwise undamaged). I give this bag only 3 stars because unless Gator upgraded the bag or is making it in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase. I bought one of these for a Sterling by Music Man bass as I was under the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). As the photos indicate, this bag will work for a Fender P Bass, but the Fender FB620 is a better bag for that and other Fender bass guitars while presently costing 10 less than the Gator while offering better protection and features. The Gator GB-4G seems to be more of a universal fit bag accommodating a wider range of sizes. The thing it seemed to have going for it the most was its zipper which seemed heavy duty. I'm giving this bag only 3 stars on account of the price increase; for it used to cost about 4-5 less than the Fender FE620 but now costs about 10 more than? Unless it has improved features or is being made in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase as the FE620 gig bag provides better protection and features (for Strat size guitars anyway). I purchased one in May 2021 and only because as I was of the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). I should have sized things up beforehand since the Sterling by Music Man Cutlass I bought the bag for is essentially a slightly shorter, slightly sleeker version of a Strat (for which the FE620 was made). The best thing the Gator bag seemed to have going for it was the zipper which seemed rather heavy duty while mesh pockets on the front of a gig bag aren't particularly practical while being subject to tearing/ripping. As you can see by the photos, there's too much room in the bag for a Strat size guitar (though one might be able to insert the headstock into the bag's internal top pocket to prevent the guitar from sliding around too much in the bag). The Gator GB-4G ELEC Series Gig Bag is more of a universal fit bag better suited for guitars longer and/or wider than a Strat.Vice

Great gig bag for electrics, but I feel the acoustic one has too much give in the front/back of the bag…I’m worried that with a little bit of pressure, it could be easy to damage the face of the guitar. But it is perfect for commuting to gigs on the tube, and it can hold my iPad, iPad holder, cables, and all sorts of accessories in the large pocket! This is my second Vertigo the other being an electric. Gig bag is big but slightly smaller then the plastic Martin 640 case. The pockets are useful. There's a D ring at the top and I use that to hang it on the wall of my closet. The only downside to this top load bag you have to be very careful in and out not to scratch the guitar on the zipper it is avoidable but you need to go slow using your hands to hold the zipper away. It's not crush proof so you just hope somebody doesn't throw something on top of it when it gets stowed.Joe
Very sturdy but very easy to handle as well as. My chunky Gibson Songbird deluxe looks compact when it is contained in this bag. rugged case that fits my D'angelico Gramercy well. Should fit any other brand of Grand Auditorium well too. There's just a tiny bit of wiggle room, but it doesn't bother me too much. It's fine for going around to rehearsal and light gigs. If you're a touring pro or looking to ship a guitar in this case you'll want something beefier. The insides are very well padded as it is. i first bought a skb case at 3 times the cost of this and the foam insert fell out of the top when i opened it. i then bought a gator case also about 3 times more in cost and it was so bent up the case was hard to close and would not seal. you could stick 2 credit cards into the latched case between the gaps. i even bought an epiphone branded plywood case and it arrived with what looked like a bullet hole in the bottom bout end. i then bought this for $49 on sale with very low expectations the case was put together poorly, had glue slopped all over the case inside and out, the fuzzy black lining is very thin and cheap and the foam is hard. now the good, it has 6 latches that all work, one is lockable but you can use nearly any suitcase key to unlock it,the two sides come together easily and the fit is tight as it should be, the hinges are well placed and work properly. the outside is hard plastic with a nice uniform finish and what i expected and wanted. the handle is well attached and solid. my epiphone les paul limited custom pro fits like a glove. this is not something i would check at the airlines but it should be fine in the car and protect against kids and dogs in the house if this case had cost $100 or more i would have sent it back, at $49 sale price it is better than i had hoped for and better than the gator or skb. the thing all of these cases have in common is poor workmanship,cheap materials and made in china! after i cleaned up all of the glue it looks quite nice. it is a shame that the companies that build all of these chinese cases rely on the customer to do their quality control work. .crazy gunsmith
I bought a couple of these when they were on sale and they're exaclty what I expected. They're not top of the line, and they certainly are NOT suitable for checked luggage on a flight, but for everyday use they're fine. My Seagull Mariner fits perfectly. My Rogue resonator fits a little loose but it's fine. I've also used one to transport a D'Angelico hollowbody and it fit fine with a towel tossed on top to keep it from bouncing around.Doug

Outstandingly well made case. Very sturdy. You will not have to worry about your guitar when it's in this case. Lined with fur material; heavy duty latches, and chrome "feet" tips that keep the case off the floor when you sit it down. Made with plywood, so it is heavy and very durable. It was a little expensive, but I know my guitar is well protected. I already had a Takamine case for my other guitar, and this ChromaCast case is made as well, or even better than the Takamine.Doris
Looks good but cheaply made and flimsy. Top of case will not stay opened unless you use some force to slightly stretch the strap but you have to be careful not to over stress it or it may detach on one end. Plus the latches on the top section of the case didn't seem seem a bit misaligned the first time and afterwards when closing the case. Spend the extra money and get a better made case.GBPKRMAN
