Speaker For Electric Guitar For Sale (2024 Update)

I put this in an old Vox VT15 Pawn shop find. It worked well for a few years but it konked out, and I didn't want to spend a ton on a little practice amp. This little speaker did the trick. I really think I'm getting better tones out of this speaker than the speaker that it came with. I only replaced the speaker a little over a month ago, but so far, I feel like I gave my amp an upgrade. I did not expect that.DeadWeasel

Built a new Tweed Cabinet for my Epiphone Valve Junior, and changed out the 8" to a 10" Celestion. Much more range, obviously, but a little less power as the 5 watt amp is pushing more coil. I would have gotten an Alnico 10 with lower wattage, but the prices on those are out of the park for me. With the new Celestion, however, the amp handles pedals much better. As the new speaker breaks in, this will only improve.Mark O Matic

Received my new speaker, first allowed it to get warm temperature wise. Shipping in North Dakota can get items a little cold. Then installed, and even before this speaker has had time to be properly broken in. It instantly brought a new life to a fairly new amp. A Peavey VYPYR VIP-1. The Peavey original speaker was just an eight inch speaker. I can only believe that as the new speaker is slowly broken in. The quality will continue to be rich, and a full range of tones. I even ran some bass notes thru it. There was a great improvement here too. The over all quality of a small home amp, has been greatly improved.rh_493

Very happy with this choice for my First DIY amp, which is currently a 5W FootNote plate, a pine bee box, 3-ply poplar shelving front. This speaker sounds a lot better than I expected for the price. Comparing with the PEAVY VYPRR VIP1 modeling amp next to it, (also parts express) the clean tone is amazing.. like – the other amp is abandoned until I need fuzz again. I was startled by how detailed, musical, and dynamic it sounded direct from the guitar. Next time I get a chance to build a higher power amp, I'll check out some other celestions. Maybe a blue someday…Jay

Speakers are nearly as important as the amp. If you like your amp but want a better tone, change your speakers, mix and match, look at what speakers the big boys use. This speaker certainly has its haters. By themselves, I usually felt something is missing. I had these in a Carvin USA 4×12 and Marshall 1960a 4×12. With my Marshall cab I have a Marshall JVM 210 head. This cab with the marshall head sounds great. It sounds so good I took the back off the cab to see if they were in fact 75s in there. I have a 1980s JCM 800 that also sounds great with this cab. However, my Engl amp sound ok but definitely not great with these speakers. I had and sold a Carvin MTS 3200 head because I could never get a good dirty tone out of it. I think now it was the lack of tone caused by the speakers. Thus I started my experiment. I took the Carvin cab apart and mixed in an X patern Vintage 30s and the 75s. Both speakers sound better in this combination. All my amps sounded great with this cab. I then mixed the 75s with G12h Anniversay and same result. Ditto for the greenbacks. I am not exaggerating that the tone changed signicantly, and every time for the better, when I mixed other top end speakers with the 75s. I'm keeping my marshall cab as is with the 75s. However, this cab sounded noticeably better than the Carvin cab with 75s in it. The Carvin cab is very high quality and well built. As a result, I will never ever use any other cab with just 75s in them. I will always mix them with other speakers and recommend this to you. I play classic rock and blues. By themselves, the speakers I like best are greenbacks. I had a wow moment there. The G12 H also sound great alone. The vintage 30s are more like the 75s. Alone, they can get on your nerves. The top end is outright harsh. But everyone knows that for cutting through the mix the V30s are great. So like the 75s, they need to be tamed by mixing them with another speaker. Verdict- great speaker for metal and players who like the mods scooped. For other players, they sound great mixed with V30s, greenbacks etc, etc. the 75s are not great at all at cutting through the mix. I think the best scenario if you want to buy this speaker or have a cab with them In it is to mix it with another top end speaker. My recommendation is if you have a 4×12 take two out and mix with either V30s or G12h. It will sound great. As a second option, if you have a cab with V 30s and you think they are too harsh sounding, the 75s will tame it. However, there are better speakers out there- tryout the greenbacks. Creambacks, and other speakers before you buy these.Ron

I bought this to replace my stock Peavey Sheffield in my 6505+ 112 combo and I'm very happy with the results. The amp now has the added character. The dirty cleans, mean crunch and the searing lead tones of the Peavey 6505+ are all way better through this speaker! Everything with gain sounds way more \m\ METAL /m/ than the stock speaker ever did to me. I play with a lot of gain so that's what i was after in choosing this upgrade. I never thought it would make such a difference, but i really hear the difference in quality of sound reproduction. "Getcha Pull" on this one for sure!Wade

This speaker did everything I hoped, completely transformed my 1×12 combo. Cleaned up the highs and mids and added chunk to the bass. Most importantly, it gave me projection. My sound was not lost in a blur 10 ft. from the amp anymore. Only con has nothing to do with the G12T. The old speaker had 6 mounting bolts, while Celestion uses only 4. It took me about an hour to take out the 4 I couldn't use and reinstall 2 in the right position.Paulie

Overall: If you are looking to add volume and low end to your 10 inch combo or cabinet, look no further, this is it. The sound is pretty good for either clean or distorted sounds. It may not have the "magic" of some high end Celestions, but it sounds MUCH better than most stock speakers that come in mid to low priced amps and cabinets. In my opinion the best thing about this speaker is that this is the only speaker out there that makes a 10 inch combo sound like a 12 inch combo. (and it really does) I had put this speaker in a Laney Cub 10 and had it sitting on top of a 4X12 cabinet that I keep at my friend's practice space/ home studio. He walked in while I was playing and thought that I had it connected to the 4X12,.. no joke.Lawrence

This 10” speaker is what every speaker should sound like. Tight low end, mids are just right and the high end is smooth. Now I put this in a fender frontman 25R. Yes it’s solid state, but this speaker made it a great practice amp. I would use this at a small gig that’s how much I think this speaker made this amp beyond usable now. Very pleasing to the eye. I haven't seen a neater looking BT speaker. The sound is just as superb as the looks. Clear sound. No choppy lag and instant connection. I listen to music, YouTube and my favorite is gaming.Yes it has a front and rear speaker The bass from the Sub(rear facing speaker)is very dominant but it doesn't overpower the front speaker. Explosions, gun sounds and sound effects are immersive and you feel right in front row of a theater. The speaker last 12+ hours. It's expensive but worth the money. The main shell is a Zinc alloy. It doesn't feel like a cheap plastic appliance. I would recommend it and I will buy another someday.Travis P.

The MPSE- Shark 14 has been a wonderful addition to my desktop. I'm using it together with a MP – Aurochs to provide sound for my standing work station/laptop. 1. the details and manufacture on this item are excellent. Nothing feels cheaply made, or like there were short cuts taken. All connections are with screws, so everything is nice and tight. The details are all excellent. It really sells the creepy alien battle speaker. 2. TWS. The true wireless stereo works great. Pairing two of them fills the room with sound, and makes for a great experience. I've had no issues at all, and would recommend the purchase to anyone who just wants the wow factor that this adds to your workspace.OniNoKen

Okay so I'm by no means an expert on speakers, but I think this speaker is great! I use it just to casually watch Youtube videos and sometimes play solo Minecraft. The look and feel of it is very cool and the lights are changeable! It has a slight studder when starting a video but that's expected from bluetooth. Its honestly a LOT bigger than expected. The only downside is that on occasion it plays a high pitch sounds like your testing your hearing at the doctor. It's a rare occurrence but if you have a sensitivity to that I wouldn't get this speaker. TLDR: This speaker looks cool, good size and sound. Volume can be adjusted to blast a party or watch casual videos/game. Downside, slight studder at the beginning of audios, and sometimes emits a high pitch sound.E.J.

I have owned several amps in the last 40yrs. Always looking for "that tone" and never quite found it. Peavey's a Marshall and a Carvin. The last being a 100W head. And with all of them and a line 6 floor pod, was never happy. I am so happy with this head on my 4×12 marshall cab that all I have used the floor pod for is the tuner. I'm sure at some point I will probably use the pod for some effects, but for what I mostly play its not really needed. Of course there are many things that can effect this so ill just give a short list of the main guitars I use and the pickups. Gibson Les Paul with Slash Seymour Duncan's, wired 50's and a Gibson 137 all stock. I no longer play out so the 100w Carvin was just not good in my basement. Couldn't push it to the point of natural breakup in a confined space. This amp goes from almost crystal clean to a beautiful natural saturation. And the dirty channel picks up where the clean leaves off and goes to the verge of metal. Throw a overdrive pedal in the mix and there isn't much you couldn't play on the fly.Brad B

I have had it for a week and love it. It goes from super clean to full on metal overdrive. Price was good—delivered quick. Seems well built enough. The only thing I would change is to give the clean / classic channel some crunch so i could go from a light crunch to a heavy lead sound when switching channels because the clean channel is clean even when fully cranked. The DSL100 has a crunch option on the clean channel so it would be nice to have it here as well. But you can use the ultra gain channel and use the guitar volume to clean it up etc. I assume the clean channel would take pedals well from other reviews I have seen. Overall it rocks and gets really loud. Gig-able I think. Highly recommended.Tuckerman

I bought 2 of these heads to drive Marshall MX12 cabinets. I was previously using 2 Marshall DSL40CR combo amps. I thought I could save space by having the small heads instead. I was wrong. FYI, the DSL40CR amps sound great (mine are upgraded with Creamback speakers). First off, the amps both had horrific white noise when you turned up the reverb. 2) one amp made some weird static noise when you moved your hand around the face plate, touching the face plate actually changed the tone. I have never in my almost 30 years of using guitar amps had this. 3) The amps sounded thin and tinny. To the point they were unusable. I returned them for a refund and when both amps arrived at Musicians Friend, they stated that they only received one amp (although both amps arrived the same day). A day later the 2ne amp was marked as received. I received one amps refund on Saturday, and now I guess I have to wait till Monday for the second refund. What a joke. BTY, I also ordered a brand new EHX pedal when I bought the amps and they sent me a used one instead! Musicians Friend is such a joke now a days it's sad.MLM

I've been through many, many 12s for Blackface style speakers. These are my faves. For good 60s tones in country and rock with a BF amp these guys work great. Take pedals well. Not shrill or muddy in my experience. Solid surfy bass. Smooth treble. 120 watts which is triple what I would ever throw at em. For a Deluxe or a Pro in a honkytonk bar, these are just the ticket.edol9871

For me the tones of these are somewhere in between American and British. I use these mainly in a 2×10 cab for a fender vibroverb style amp. Vs the Oxford speakers these have a lil more mid focus and rounded highs that work much better with higher gain tones. I also use these with my Marshall origin 50 set relatively clean to get a slightly bigger bottom end than V30s.RockinJohnson

I bought this speaker in the 16ohm version to replace a v30 in my orange ppc1x12. I love the v30 but I mainly use a 100w Marshall DSL100HR and the v30 by itself couldn't handle all that wattage since it's only 60watts. So I decided to go with the swamp thang cause a little more defined low end sounded like a good idea as I play a 7 string ltd (fishman fluence pups) half the time. But I was worried I would loose the highs that we need for attack in high gain situations as well as playing clean which I do very often also. But now that I've played tgrough this speaker I can say that is not a problem whatsoever. This speaker has twice the highs and twice the lows as my v30. Probably a little less midrange but since it's such a powerful speaker it doesn't feel like it's relying on mids the cut through. Full disclosure I've only had the speaker a few hours and played through it a little over an hour but if it sounds this good outta the box I'm confident things will only get better. It's a great sounding speaker in my opinion that would complement any style/set up. I plan on buying an empty Luke 2x12C cab from seismic audio soon so i can pair the ST and the v30 which im lookong forward to. But in the meantime im in no huge hurry since the ST sounds so good by itself.Michael I.

To start I didn't keep this amp. This was my 1st acoustic amp and I was torn between this Fishman and the Genzler aa mini. When it arrived the packaging was perfect and so I set up and gave it a whirl. To my disappointment the amp was making a crackling and popping noise randomly as I played through it. Wasn't real sure why but knew for the price I definitely couldn't keep it. That said, the amp had great tone I thought and loads of features! So I could have just tried another but I took it as a sign and with AMS assistance swapped for the Genzler with no hassle at all! I've heard great things of these Fishman acoustics but…I love the Genzler AA Mini. Only downside is not as many effects but it's acoustic…I really am pleased with what it offers and the sound(mic and guitar) is fantastic imo!!! Thanks AMSBrent

I did a lot of online research and played a lot of acoustic amps in stores before I settled on this one. It's by far the best in its price range. You can get quite loud with excellent clarity that replicates the authentic tone of your guitar. Playing and singing through the amp sounds great with no distortion and it does a great job of giving what I'd call space to your voice and instrument. An all around great amp for practice, busking and other live performance venues.Geoff

I bought a pair of these for a Gibson Ranger GA-55RVT that I restored and converted to 2×12's instead of 4×10's. I cut the case down and installed a new speaker mounting plate, new Tolex, knobs, electrolytics, tubes, everything. The only thing I didn't have was a matched pair of 12-inch guitar speakers, so I installed a pair of ruggedized 12-inch "no-name" (Urban Audio Works) speakers until I got everything worked out on the Ranger. The Gibson actually sounded decent with the Urbans, but with these Legends, it really rocks! The sound is exactly as described in the ad: Lots of growl and muscle, especially with the front pickups, but zingy highs and midranges for lead work with the middle and back pickups. I was torn between the Jensen C12N's and C12K's, but then I saw Music123's ad for the Eminence Legend 1258s, and decided to give them a try. Plus, I heard the Jensen's were more "British" and "woody" sounding, and I wanted an American rock/Fender Twin sound for my Gibson. That amp uses two 6L6's for output (as opposed to four for the Fender) so I was worried that the C12K's might be too much, and the C12Ns too little. But the Legends are perfect. They really brought my Ranger to life, at all volume settings. The biggest thing Ive noticed is how these speakers bring out the differences in the switch and pickup settings on my various guitars, from Strats and Strat copies, to my 76 Kramer aluminum neck 450G. They really have a great tonal range. And the 75-watt rating (x2) is perfect for the 55-watt Gibson amp.John Young-Y0CQl

This speaker doesn't get a lot of press because it is overshadowed by the Patriot and Red Coat speakers in the Eminence brand. I've been through many Emi speakers in the newer lines but came back to this one. It is clean but definitely not sterile. Big warm (tight but not boomy) bass, mids are solid but smooth with just a touch of bite when you crank your mids. Highs are strong but musical – not harsh. It plays any style of music and keeps its composure at high volumes. I also like that it is slightly less efficient allowing me to turn my amp up more to get into the sweet spot. It just plain works for my Fender 40 watt black face amp. Cleans are exceptional and overdrive is very musical. For my purposes, it is the best speaker Emi sells.Super 400

I've been using a pair of these for 6 years, for different heads, amps too. Really powerful tight sound, I love em. However, with a silver stripe Bandit 112 they were too bright/harsh. It's because the Bandit is just too bright and harsh, I had a very hard time tweaking an overdrive distortion I liked from that amp…sold it. But I'm keeping the Legend 1258s, they make every other amp I've had sound great!!!!Buffalo_BiL

I heard a twin with a 15 in a store and was amazed by how if filled the room with very balanced, clear sound. However, I own a number of heads, and these days seek lighter equipment, so a separate cab worked for me. I cut a baffle board and installed it in a 1-12" Laney combo cab, and closed about 80% of the rear. At first, it sounded awful. But I played through it at moderate volume for a few hours, and the raspiness was gone. It is exactly the full sound I need. Be advised that I play with moderate volume and limited distortion–sort of Garcia/Betts/Mick Taylor. I do not know how these speakers would react to more aggressive styles.Rich not rich

I have had the 15" Fullback in a 120w solid-state twin style amp (1980 Randall Commander I) and it sounds phenomenal. It is a mid-focused speaker, but does a good job of allowing the voice of the amp to come through. It is sensitive enough to pick up all the nuances of your playing, which is a plus in my book. It really takes overdrive and volume well. Some speakers get piercing and some fart out in a bad way, this is a champ. It will not give you the giant low end that some 15's like the Big Ben do, but that wasn't what I was going for. Overall very happy with this speaker.MP

I bought the Fullback to try in my Princeton Reverb 1×15 combo cabinet. It sounds perfect. It has tight bass, not the usual overpowering bass from after market, efficient speakers. It has this mid-range bite that works so well with BF/SF amps. It wasn't overly bright on top. It sounded perfect in the Princeton. I tested it with the Fender Excelsior too… I left the speaker in the Princeton 1×15 cabinet. It is a pine cabinet with a birch-ply baffle, but about the same height and width as the Excelsior. With the Excelsior it sounded almost the same as with the Princeton. There was something different about it in the Excelsior. I think the Excelsior has a little more dirty sound than the Princeton and isn't as bright on top. The speaker still had the mid-range bite though. The speaker sounded very good in both amps. It sounded clear on cleans and broke up really nice. It is a mid-rangy speaker, which I like. In a band situation this is exactly what you want, tight bass (so you are not in the bassist's territory) and mid-range punch (to cut through the mix).kray

Just got the speaker today and normally I wait to write a review, but the improvement this speaker made in my 1976 SF Champ is simply awesome. First, it was super easy to install. Took me all of 15 minutes. The speaker holes lined up perfectly with the lugs coming out of the amp's baffle and the speaker's cable contacts were in exactly the same place as the original. Like it was made specifically for a Champ. The speaker looked very well made, with a nice cone, solid housing and the magnet on this speaker is huge compared to the stock speaker. My ratchet handle got stuck on it as I was installing it. Took some force to free it. Then came the test drive, with the amp volume set to 4. Wow. I used my 1987 Gibson LP Standard with Seymour Duncan SH-59's. I was immediately struck by the fullness across the tonal spectrum. Chimey treble with harshness removed, beautiful full midrange and tight and powerful bass without the flub and muddiness I had before. The guitar just rang and sang. Then I dimed the amp and the natural overdrive was impressive. So much better than the original speaker. No harsh high end anymore, great tight bass and a pleasant roar that makes you want to hit power chords all day. Solo notes were clear and distinct. Plus, the speaker cleaned up great when turning the guitar volume control down; sounding just like it did on lower amp volume levels. And I still have to break this puppy in and try it with my pedalboard!! This is the absolute best thing you can do for your SF Champ if it still has the stock speaker in it. Looking for a 12 inch speaker to go with a custom-made skylark GA-5 amp head. Not having a ton of experience with different speakers I decided it was easier just to stick with one company to limit the overwhelming amount of choices. The G12c/s clean and tight low end smooth mid range and perfect top end that isn’t overly bright very articulate very efficient did add a little volume overall wonderful speaker. Thanks to British audio for The excellent customer service and the detailed knowledge of WGS speakers couldn’t have asked for a better shopping experience.Andre

I picked one of these up used. 5 stars. Really like it. It's warm, not ice picky. Handles overdrive nicely without fizzy sounds. It's not what you want if you're into crystaline highs, but it sounds good clean. I much prefer this to the G10C which is quite fizzy with distortion. Also to service – I bought direct from WGS. I got a bad G10C, but they took it back, refunded the price, and shipping both directions. Good service overall. That was my first experience with them. Based on that, I'm comfortable buying again…may pick up a 2nd G10C/s instead of running the mixed pair in a 2×10. I'm trying a couple other brands as well. An eminence legend 10516, and a Weber 10F150. We'll see what I like and what combinations I like. I like the legend by itself, haven't paired it up yet. Haven't received the Weber just yet. I play mostly blues, blues-rock, and classic rock. Hate ice pick highs, and like warmer tones and maybe a little more midrange, but not a lot of crystal highs. Fantastic amp for the price! The clean channel is great, and has time delay effects that is unexpected for an amp in this range. The overdrive is excellent too, and you can control different frequencies as well. It also has two inputs for guitars, and a microphone input! So you can jam with friends and sing along. At 40w output, it is pretty loud. If you are in the fence, get it! You won't regret it!integrationbyparths1

I put two of these in my Marshall 1936 2×12, wow what an incredible improvement over the old G12-T75 speakers that Marshall has used for so many years. Celestion hit it out of the park with the Creambacks. If you are looking for a Greenback alternative that supports higher wattage, this is the one to get. It actually sounds like a mix between a Greenback and Vintage 30 with all the negatives of each speaker removed. Imagine the vintage Greenback sound with higher wattage and a tighter modern bottom end, rounded but pleasing top, and those Greenback mids. I was so blown away by them when I hit the first chord. It strikes the perfect balance between vintage and modern sound and you can do anything with these speakers. I play high-gain metal myself and they were perfect for what I was looking for.NK

I've got 2 M65s in an Avatar 2×12 closed back, and another M65 in a little cheapo Bugera 1×12 closed back. Both cabs sound fantastic with the G12M65 Creambacks. Primary amp is the Marshall DSL20hr. I struggled a bit to find the right speaker for this head, but the M65 is the perfect match. No fizz, no harsh, no spikes, crystal clear, lively, balanced. Couldn't be happier. Definitely my new favorite guitar speaker. MF got them shipped to me quickly. Very pleased!JKC

I use V30s and G12M greenbacks in my 412 but wanted a higher wattage 212 combo than the greenback. The V30 and Creamback didn't have that magic in a 212. Was able to quickly compare different pairs of speakers and found severe magic in the 16ohm GT12 and Creamback. Note the 8 ohm GT12s are junk.Cranklin

Probably a little less midrange but since it's such a powerful speaker it doesn't feel like it's relying on mids the cut through. Full disclosure I've only had the speaker a few hours and played through it a little over an hour but if it sounds this good outta the box I'm confident things will only get better. It's a great sounding speaker in my opinion that would complement any style/set up. I plan on buying an empty Luke 2x12C cab from seismic audio soon so i can pair the ST and the v30 which im lookong forward to. But in the meantime im in no huge hurry since the ST sounds so good by itself.Michael I.

I've been through many, many 12s for Blackface style speakers. These are my faves. For good 60s tones in country and rock with a BF amp these guys work great. Take pedals well. Not shrill or muddy in my experience. Solid surfy bass. Smooth treble. 120 watts which is triple what I would ever throw at em. For a Deluxe or a Pro in a honkytonk bar, these are just the ticket.edol9871

For me the tones of these are somewhere in between American and British. I use these mainly in a 2×10 cab for a fender vibroverb style amp. Vs the Oxford speakers these have a lil more mid focus and rounded highs that work much better with higher gain tones. I also use these with my Marshall origin 50 set relatively clean to get a slightly bigger bottom end than V30s.RockinJohnson

I bought this speaker in the 16ohm version to replace a v30 in my orange ppc1x12. I love the v30 but I mainly use a 100w Marshall DSL100HR and the v30 by itself couldn't handle all that wattage since it's only 60watts. So I decided to go with the swamp thang cause a little more defined low end sounded like a good idea as I play a 7 string ltd (fishman fluence pups) half the time. But I was worried I would loose the highs that we need for attack in high gain situations as well as playing clean which I do very often also. If you have an amp that is ice -picky when you travel up the neck of your guitar,chances are that it is either a 6V6 or a 6L6 amp. More likely the 6L6 variety. Some manufacturers automatically install either a vintage 30, or a cheaper equivalent , with the premise that it is a "one speaker fits all" solution. It is not. Even a well broken in V30 can have ear piercing highs, especially in a 6L6 amp,believe me I know. I'm currently using the cannabis rex in a EL84 amp and it does noticeably reduce the highs. Meanwhile I have a V30 in another 6L6 amp(bad combination)) that I believe would sound better with the cannabis rex. So I'm going to swap the speakers and hopefully that will solve both problems. So yeah, I think this is a great speaker in the right application. Good luck on your "tone-quest".Toomanyguitars

Put two 8 ohm CR speakers in a custom 2×12 closed back. Instantly, a great tone I already had going got better! Lost my ultra-high end (some call it icepick). I wouldn't say my Carvin GT-16 drivers ever got icepicky, but they did have a very loud and fatiguing upper mid bump and could get honky or coney if you will. These were circa 2004 when you could still order raw guitar speakers from Carvin… Not anymore. The harmonic extension was brilliant and crystalline however, and that I sorta miss, but these CRs give me instantly proper guitar eq. They are super balanced, but kind of filter what the amp/guitar/player combo is generating into something instantly comfortable, detailed, sensitive, and faithful. I'm gonna blend these with Private Jacks in a double 2×12 X pattern… I'll let you know how it goes but so far these CR drivers are the cornerstone of my cabs. The amplifier used is a Carvin VT50, with Warmoth Strats having Dimarzio and Duncan pickups.cdub

Overall: My old workhorse Mesa Boogie F-50's English Celestion Black Shadow blew out and I could have cried. First off, I could not believe that the speaker roached on the amp, then I had a heck of a time trying to figure out what to replace it with. Celestion makes the vast majority of their speakers in places other than England (including the newer Black Shadows they make) so I opted to not purchase one of those. I decided to give Eminence a try. Hey, they make their products here in the states and every one of their products purchased goes to support those great folks who toil away making great products for us musicians to share our creative genius (or annoy our neighbors) with. I researched this problem for almost a year, trying to figure out what speaker to go with and try as I might, I never found anyone with a Boogie that they put one of these in. So I was a bit apprehensive about how things would work out. I installed the speaker and fired the amp up. I was so happy to hear sounds coming out of the amp. Then I was totally impressed with the sounds that I heard. Mesa should have used this speaker in this amplifier to begin with. I would have never thought I could improve the tone of this amp but this speaker did it by the spadeful. It is so rich and so responsive it made this amplifier sing like it never has before. I am completely impressed and Eminence has a lifelong supporter now with me. Great speaker. Absolutely great speaker, I cannot say enough good about it. It nails everything I need to play with authority. It rocks, it cries, it sings, it wails and it talks. If you have a need for a 12" speaker, this is definitely the way to go. I don't knock the old Celestions, don't get me wrong, their stuff is still one of the industry standards for a reason. I am just impressed and sold on Eminence hemp cone speakers now. For the money (really? 95.00, that is it!?!) they cannot be beat.Matthew

Easy swap, exact replacement, they don’t seem loud but are present in the mix. Not saying they’re weak but at 20 watts, they won’t melt your face. It was my first Parts Express order and they did a great job.Mark
