Overall: I read some of these negative reviews and can't understand what they're talking about. This guitar is probably the best guitar for $200 I ever played , right out of the box it was setup perfectly. All I did was tune it , I've even got the same strings it came with. Which I normally change whenever I get a new guitar. The tuners are unbelievably tight , this guitar barely goes out of tune even if it has been sitting for weeks. Also I never attached the whammy bar , so I can't speak on that throwing it out of tune. Since I have over a dozen guitars I don't usually play it daily , but when I do it always makes me glad I purchased it. This is a very versatile guitar , I play mostly metal and this thing shreds. But I also play blues and it sounds just as good as my custom strat. I bought an Epiphone SG special in the same price range and let's just say the setup is night and day , the tuners absolutely sucked , "already replaced them" and the intonation was off. It was a mess , I've already put it on Craig's list and bought a G400 Pro instead , 10x better quality and setup , but I digress. I've got many high priced guitars but always go back to the GRX , the playability and neck feels so comfortable to play. The only thing I'm going to do eventually is throw in a Seymour Duncan humbucker and I'm definitely keeping this guitar. I don't know how Ibanez can sell this for $200 and keep the quality , but I'm certainly not going to complain. Whether you're a beginner or experienced this guitar delivers. Definitely will be purchasing another Ibanez down the road.Mike
I read a lot of reviews on this guitar before purchasing. Most common complaints revolved around tuning stability. I was expecting mine to go out of tune every 2 minutes. Not my experience at all. It seems to be strung with 10's, and holds tuning very well. Pick ups sound warm and tight. When I eventually upgrade I'll probably do the nut and tuners, but those are by no means urgent. There are so minor finish flaws, but i bought this guitar to play, not to stare at it. For less than £200, you really can't go wrong. Delivery was on time and without hassle.Ben A.
Sound: Does not have the cleanest sound due to the picks. Putting the right pedals and effects in line and cranking up the distortion makes it an awesome beginner / intermediate metal guitar. Features: For the price the materials feel great. Ease of Use: It sounds great on my Fender Champion 20 or Positive Grid Spark amp. Not the cleanest tone but a great metal sound and extremely easy to play. Quality: It feels made well, especially in the $200 range. I feel like this is one I'll have for years and once I get better definitely see this is a good platform for future mods. Value: This guitar is excellent value and at this price an amazing guitar. Manufacturer Support: I have not dealt with Ibanez. The Wow Factor: I must admit the aesthetic. It's extremely hard to find good looking purple color-based guitars. Purple is my favorite color and a hard one to find good guitars in. It looks great. It feels great and I have yet to find any significant issues with it. No problems with the frets or fret buzz. Action is easy and low. It sounds great with my Positive Grid Spark amp. The pickups sound great. The HSH setup is very versatile. Overall: This guitar was sold as blemished. The actual blemish on the guitar was on the back of the body. I very small pin hole like indent, maybe 2-4mm. Almost ingenious. What I mean by that, is that is saved me 200.00 dollars and when you notice it, it looks kind of cool. Hard to explain, maybe a relic touch or something. Besides that, I can’t help but loving this guitar, for its simplicity, good taste and the extra birds on the fret board and lightness. Overall: This guitar is amazing. It plays well right out of the box. The neck is smooth and no sharp frets. The pickups sounds great. Overall: This rating is for the instrument itself, not zZounds. Their customer service is amazing and unparalleled. I've been waiting for the release of the Holcomb SVN for some time now. The finish is great, it's beautiful, the fretboard and neck are beautiful, the pickups are great. The flat radius fretboard is insanely comfortable! Unfortunately, there are an equal amounts of negatives. The nut is garbage. It's plastic, very sharp, and has slag hanging off of it everywhere. I doubt very much that it's properly shaped or set. It has made tuning impossible. The tuning machines themselves are also extremely low quality and seem to have a gap in the gearing, which also makes tuning a very aggrevating process. The low A# string seems impossible to intonate correctly, the saddle is maxed out and it's still registering extremely sharp. This is all in the tuning and string gauge that Mark plays in so… quality control seems to be an issue with these first run Holcomb SVN's. All in all, an extremely beautiful guitar for a ridiculous price while PRS's competitors build far better instruments in the same budget. I would return this if alllowed.Dayne

I had played one of these in a store and liked the feel. After having one for a few weeks, I like it even more. I'm slightly taller than the average guy. Hence my fingers are a bit longer than the average guy. Maybe it is just because the neck seems to get thinner as you get up to the higher notes, but it seems like the neck is a little wider than the rest of my guitars up around the 15th to 24th frets. ("rest of my guitars" include Les Paul, Strat, Ibanez RG550, EVH Wolfgang, and others for reference). Aside from how great the paint job LOOKS, it does not have a gloss coat on it. This is a good thing since the paint job extends up the back of the neck allowing your hand to slide quite freely on the back of the neck. The bridge humbucker is fantastic. It screams the notes clearly with ZERO noise or hum when not playing. I'm not that impressed with the neck humbucker, but that's comparing it to the neck hum on my Les Paul, Carvin, and PRS Custom. AND, for about 90% of the 80s hair band songs you are never using that pickup anyway. The Floyd Rose is great! I got tired of waiting for it to need minor tuning adjustments naturally, so I'm to the point of TRYING to make it go out of tune even slightly and it STILL stays locked in tune. Overall, this guitar is now my GO TO for anything 80s (the biggest chunk of my playing preference).Steve
Having tried playing MANY of these in my hands, it seems that the quality control out of the Jackson Indonesia factory is hit-or-miss. If you get a good unit without problems, it is a great guitar with a great sound for a great price! And the looks are so nice as well. The neck thru body construction is so smooth and sweet. However, you might get a dud that sounds horrible. Or it might have severe defects in the neck or locking nut. In my experience, about 50% are of poor quality.
I was keen to find a 6 string that had a fixed bridge that I could use for covers and so I can retune to alternate tunings easily without having to get the screwdrivers and spending a lot of time retuning like a Locking Tremolo guitar. Thankfully the guitar already had Seymour Duncan pick ups in which are essential to having a aggressive tone but as well allow good expression so this meant it would be a case of getting the guitar out the box and playing rather than buying separate pick ups having to fit them in and so on. As I wanted a guitar that wasn't black or brightly colored the desert sand finish on the guitar really stood out and attracted me. Most of the SLP2's have a great selection of finish's. As for the neck and wood finish it is very smoothly and allows you to get quick access from from end of the neck to the other. Behind each the tuners on the headstock, there is this interesting circular turning device to help lock in the strings. This may help keep it in tune more but I also just attribute it staying in tune due to the general quality of the guitar. I bend the strings a lot for my lead playing and I play very aggressively with thick picks and rhythmically so once I put some heavier strings on (my preference) and configured the bridge saddles with a very small L shaped Allen/hex key the guitar stayed in tune.Tom H.

Thankfully the guitar already had Seymour Duncan pick ups in which are essential to having a aggressive tone but as well allow good expression so this meant it would be a case of getting the guitar out the box and playing rather than buying separate pick ups having to fit them in and so on. As I wanted a guitar that wasn't black or brightly colored the desert sand finish on the guitar really stood out and attracted me. Most of the SLP2's have a great selection of finish's. As for the neck and wood finish it is very smoothly and allows you to get quick access from from end of the neck to the other. Behind each the tuners on the headstock, there is this interesting circular turning device to help lock in the strings. This may help keep it in tune more but I also just attribute it staying in tune due to the general quality of the guitar. I bend the strings a lot for my lead playing and I play very aggressively with thick picks and rhythmically so once I put some heavier strings on (my preference) and configured the bridge saddles with a very small L shaped Allen/hex key the guitar stayed in tune.Tom H.

I have had this guitar in my sights for a while. I asked for notification for when it was in stock and the when I received that I ordered it right away. It was very late on a Sunday evening so I did not call my sales engineer Charlie Davis I just used my Sweetwater card and bought it. Charlie had the whole thing processed early Monday morning and I got it Wednesday. This is a beautiful guitar to look at, the satin finish and charcoal burl on the top are especially pleasing. The tones you can get from this instrument are great either clean or with overdrive and distortion. Being a child of the 60's I lean more towards Grateful Dead ,Allmans, Little Feat so I play without a lot of effects but it sounds as good playing jams and blues as well as ballads by the Dead or anyone else from the era I grew up with. This is my second Schecter, if you see this back in stock and you don't want to spend $2000 on an electric guitar I would go for it. It came set up to play and that is all I have been doing for the last few weeks.
I've got 3 Schecters if that tells you anything. I have an Apocalypse and a Silver mountain. I bought this for my lady. It's got a slightly thinner neck than the regular "Thin C", it's thinner but not narrower. It came "ready to play"…but to make it even better required a very slight neck adjustment, a couple of the saddles raised…and most importantly for me…the pickups WAY too close and it made it sound "busy" to me…too much going on…chaos. I lowered them to 1/16 treble and 1/8 bass…and they've really improved…I can hear individual notes in the chords where before it was a noisy mess. To the other reviewer wanting to change pickups…try lowering or raising them and see if it improves. This isn't a $1000+ guitar and it shows in the little details…the carve of the body…rounding the neck/frets…the finish…it's not up to the Apocalypse or Silver mountain…but it's a FINE guitar.Joe Rocker
Overall: I wanted to wait a while before I reviewed this instrument just to make sure the new guitar bias wore off first. The first thing I wanna say about this guitar is the tuning stability is crazy good, and I'm sure that's because of the black tusq nut. This guitar stays in tune better than some of the more expensive guitars I own and that really surprised me a lot. The tuners feel sturdy and the bridge is very easy to set up. The neck is super thin, and access to the higher frets is superb. I also really like how the inlays are done on this guitar. As I'm getting older it's harder for me to see where I'm at and having the inlays switch to the bottom of the fretboard after the 12th is super nice. I will say though that while I love the neck, it was also one of the only parts of the guitar that required some work on my part. Out of the box, I did have to level the frets a tiny bit to get the strings as low as I like them to be. It's a minor complaint since I like my strings VERY low, but it is worth mentioning especially since this guitar is around the price-point where these kinds of issues shouldn't be as expected. I'm not gonna cover too much on the sound of this guitar because you can make any guitar sound good with enough processing, but I'd say that the pickups in this guitar sound perfectly fine on their own and I have no plans of changing them out. The tone of the bridge pickup is beefier than you'd expect which you may or may not like. The neck pickup is honestly my favorite, it's very warm sounding and has none of that harsh sharpness that I personally can't stand. Overall the pickups are just comfortable to listen to, which makes them perfect for mixing. To top it all off, it's a very pretty-looking guitar. I got the Sky Burst one and I find myself still looking at it and admiring it. With ALL of that said though, I would say that this guitar best suits someone who is intermediate, but at the same time I think that more advanced players will love the playability if they're willing to put in some minor effort to take the guitar a bit further.Patty

I preordered this guitar but I received a used guitar. The new Schecter guitar actually came inside a Dean guitars box and it was bubble wrapped inside. There were no Schecter guitar box or anything for a new guitar. The guitar didn't have any stickers or labels or plastic that you normally get buying a new guitar. A new schecter guitar normally has a sticker on one of the tone controller and plastics on the pickups. Mine didn't had any. It had scratches on the body and the head stock was completely dirty and on top of that the neck pickup was elevated from one side and not screwed in properly. The same issue was on the bridge pick up as well. If this was a minor issue I could have fixed it and kept the guitar. But I decided to return it immediately. Seems like I received a vendor item or display item but guitar center can clarify this issue. This the second guitar I bought from GC that had major issues out of the box. I let go of the first one but I will not keep doing this. I paid for a new guitar and I should receive a new guitar with everything in working order. As a customer this is not my job to buy a product receive it and than verify to see if I actually received a new product or a used one. For any new buyers please check this before anything else if you bought a new guitar.Mo A

I’ve had this guitar for about 7 months now. The evertune is seriously a game changer. I bought another used guitar since then and realized just how much value the Evertune has. I really don’t have much else to say about it other than it looks and plays great and has reliably served me well with heavy use for 7 months now. A couple nit picks are the finish will collect prints and dust very easily so get a little tool to keep it clean. Also, I find the volume knob to be a little too close to the strings so I bump it pretty often involuntarily knocking the volume down a bit. Big shout out to the The customer service, the initial guitar I bought I really didn’t like at all so I sent it back and got this one. They were beyond accommodating for that. I can take comfort in spending a large amount of money here knowing that. Thanks Ams!
First at the foremost, you're gonna buy it for how it looks. And let me say that the pictures of it doesn't do it justice. It looks so much better in real life! After cosmetics, it feels great to hold and play. The neck is fun to play on. The EMG 81-7 sounds beefy and aggressive, but still warm. Once set up, the Floyd works great. I play in B standard, so the strings are perfect for big chords and my very modest shredding right out of the box. In short, it feels like a guitar over a grand. Worth every bit! Just a few minor complaints. Like a little spot of the binding is a little messed up. And one of the screws on the battery compartment was stripped out in the body. But overall, nothing I would send it back for. It is a beast! Owned quite a few LTD's and own a ESP Horizon 7. It hasn't disappointed.Matt H.
Great construction and sound. I like the jumbo frets, they allow me to riff comfortably and hard. Evertune bridge is awesome however if you play it in zone 3 will act as a regular bridge and you will have to tune again after a couple of songs. If you play in zone 2 it will preserve tuning but no bendings will be allowed frp the bridge for you to perform.Jay

Overall: This guitar plays great, feels great, looks great and sounds great, but a word of warning. If you're a metalhead and your intention is to slap some big strings on it and play in F#, you're gonna be disappointed. I play in Drop A on a seven string, which is just standard tuning with the B string dropped to A. Well, A is too low on the the low string on this guitar. It gets all wobbly and slappy, and increasing string size didn't make a difference. I went from the 10-59 that it comes with to 11-64 and it made little to no difference in the string tension. This is possibly because of the 25.5 scale length, which is a little short for a seven string. If you're getting this guitar for other genres, cool, it's a great guitar, but don't get it if your plan is to play metal.

I played the omen 7 extreme in person at a guitar shop. There really isnt much of a difference besides look, and the wood of the neck. I bought the omen 7 because it was in my price range and I was purchasing my first 7 string. Needless to say, this guitar shreds! It came out of the box ready to play and holds its tunings like a champ! I play in B or drop A tuning alot and never have a problem with losing the tuning. Guitar is well constructed and I would recommend this to anyone. The only thing I would suggest is switching out the bridge pickup for maximum capacity. The Dimarzio crunch lab 7 is what I put in it and now this guitar plays like a 500-700 guitar. Buy this, you wont regret it! Shipped in less than a week too. My first 7 string was a Schecter Blackjack ATX Solo 7. So, that is my basis for comparison. I wanted a rock solid "beater" 7 that I could take to the beach, camping, etc. When I vacation, I want a guitar with me to practice. Being my first 7 was a Blackjack, I was prepared for a let down in quality when I purchased my Omen 7 (walnut). The let down never came. Don't get me wrong, an Omen is not a Blackjack. The Blackjack has a ton of quality points packed into it, but the Omen is built to the same design standard without the extras. I play each daily (I keep the Omen in my office and the Blackjack at home). They booth have great acoustic sustain. The action on both is exactly the same. The electronics on the Omen could use an upgrade, but for the price, they are rock solid. Of the two, the Omen is slightly lighter and because of the lower positioning of the through-body the Omen is shorter (while still the same 26.5 scale), so if fits a gig back I have for my 6 string (barely). It is the least expensive 7 string that is of great quality that is 26.5. If I were not fixated on the 26.5, ESP also makes solid 7's down to their consumer M17. Avoid the Schecter C-7 SGR, the necks are flat and buzz like crazy.richard

I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to with this purchase. First, I received the guitar the NEXT DAY after ordering! In these Covid-cursed times, that's damn impressive. It arrived in perfect condition. Second, as for the guitar – I've been playing a long time and wanted to try out a 7 string, and for the price I thought, why not? Mine was set up perfectly, and with great new strings. If AMS did this, they did a great job. Had 2 new packs of strings at the ready, didn't need them. This guitar is a beast. Really high output pickups, which is what I think most of us would want with this type guitar. Neck feels good and is straight as an arrow, and all hardware is solid. You can back off the volume on this thing and still get all the pinch harmonics you want. For $200, this is a no brainer for anyone interested in diving into the 7 string world for the first time. I had misgivings about buying a "GIO", but I'm very impressed.Ken
Hey guys. I have one of these that i had for about 3 years. Along with my GRG170DX, I'm very pleased. I haven't had really any negative experiences with these guitars, a side from needing setup out of the box. But come on, what guitar doesn't need one. Typically guitars aren't shipped set-up. If so it's very poorly done and seems like a beginner is the one who does it. So to respond to the people saying there is fret buzz, it needs a setup, won't stay in tune or/and that the strings are bad and need changed. Well they are just speaking the obvious, even guitars but of a showroom floor is going to need a good setup. So take the time to do so ( it's really not hard, there's all kinds of videos out there to watch), or if you really want have someone do it for you. Once a setup and a string change is done, than this guitar is simply an awesome guitar. I have no tuning issues, string changes are easy. The guitar is balanced nicely, I had a Ibanez AX series 7 string…. That guitar sound good and wasn't a bad guitar. But man was the balance terrible. The neck likes to nose dive on those and the guitar was pretty heavy. So goes to say, I didn't keep it long. I traded it. Got a 8 string. But up against my JP70. My GRG7221 is a decent guitar. Im probably going to drop some Bare Knuckle Juggernauts in the one i have now. But i fine that this guitar has good tone. Fast attack, clarity, and great sustain. As long as you do a setup, and make sure your pickups are not too close to the string( as you should on EVERY guitar, especially the ones you have shipped to you) this is a very nice guitar for the buck. I've been playing rock and metal for near 53 years, and have owned EVERY manufacturers guitar at some point. And for the last 20 years I've been exclusively an Ibanez man; and this is THE best Ibanez model I've ever owned, period! It's solid, dependable and just plain fun to play, shredding machine; and the craftsmanship is outstanding! The basswood body is very light, resonant and the satin finish has a nice feel to the touch. The maple fluted neck is SOLID, and almost plays like a 6 string. The 26.5" scale does an excellent job of bringing out the bottom end string definition, and gives leads a nice warm character considering the solid maple fretboard! The nicely dressed fret ends and the Gotoh machines are a nice touch of quality as well. Now most new guitars usually need an upgrade when it comes to pups… NOT needed here. These DiMarzios are perfectly voiced for the basswood/ maple combination and offers tons of sustain and endless pinch harmonics all over the fretboard! NOTE: I installed a Seymour Duncan Pegasus, played it for a half hour and re-installed the DiMarzio. No need to change pups; you want "chugg", you've got it, you want "chunk", you've got it, you want "clean", you've got that too! The Ibanez Low Pro 7 works perfectly and is reliable; been playing tremelos myentire life and so I have no issues with tuning. The ONLY upgrade was a brass tremelo block, and trem-spring silencers. One more thing: The single volume control comes with an excellent treble bleed cap; between that and the high quality 3-position switch, I can get ANY tone, and play any genre I want out of this guitar. Received it with no foam or springs under the neck pickup, so the pickup pretty much rattled. Easy fix, but for over $3k? Bottom E string piezo didn't work. Real hard to set up with low (1mm on 12th fret) action, without buzz. Constantly goes out of tune, especially when using the trem. It sustained real well, and is beautiful, but it drove me crazy the first night I had it. Before you go on thinking I didn't set it up correctly, I worked for Leo Fender in the 80's, and have worked on guitars my whole life.Ernie K
2019 made full gloss Majesty's finally! And I was so happy I bought 2. One 7 string in standard and one 7 string a whole step down. They feel and sound like a $3000+ guitar. Ernie Ball also pay their employees a living wage in the bay area there is expensive to live. The fret work they do is Insane! Beautifully built guitar. Love the gloss finish compared to previous models. Guitar has a fast neck that's satin finished. The controls were a tad "sticky" until used for a day. Sound and feel is amazing but darker than previous models. Only true issue I've had is tuning stability which I'm sure could be relieved by lubing the nut.JW

Bought this aight unseen. Never touched nor played a Legator m. But based on the specs it was perfect for me, and sure enough! The Korean quality is impressive I ordered an Ibanez AXION Label RG THE SAME TIME, and i was super disappointed in The compared workmanship. Da ich schon seit längerer Zeit auf der Suche nach einer neuen 7 saitigen Gitarre war, bin ich aus Zufall auf den Artisten „John Browne“ gestoßen. Dieser spielte eine Gitarre dessen Hersteller mir unbekannt war. Also schnell im Internet nach gesehen und auf die Firma MAYONES gestoßen. Da kein Preis und Verfügbarkeit zu finden waren, habe ich nach einem Dealer in Deutschland gesucht. Zwei Treffer…JA… dachte ich! Gleich den ersten Eintrag probiert….na prima…ausgerechnet das Modell ist nicht mit im Sortiment. Blieb noch einer…MUSIC STORE…BAAAM…fündig geworden und auch noch in diesem Finish…JÄÄ! Verfügbarkeit geprüft…kann doch nicht wahr sein…ca. 3 Wochen…gut dachte ich mir das kann ich verkraften. Also der GERÄT gleich in den Warenkorb gepackt und ab zur Kasse. Stand 19.08.2015. Nach häufiger Lieferverzögerung, kam endlich die Versandbestätigung, endlich nach 232 Tagen langen warten. Als der Paketdienst am 08.04.2016, mir das Paket überreichte war für mich Weihnachten, Ostern und Geburtstag auf einmal zusammen. Nach dem ich endlich die zwei Lagen Karton durchkämpfte, befreite ich das edle Hiscox Case mit dem geprägtem MAYONES Logo. Der Reihe nach öffnete ich jeden einzelnen der vier Verschlüsse mit dem Gedanken, was erwartet mich da drin und öffnete das Case! Nach dem sich der Qualm und der grelle Schein mit samt des AHHHHHH Gedöhnst verdrückt hatten, traute ich meinen Augen nicht! Ich bin bis jetzt noch völlig sprachlos…! Genug gefaselt…wie das ganze klingt? Mit dem Sentient in der Halsposition und dem Nazgul in der Stegposition lassen sich von engelsgleichen Clean Parts bis hin zu höllischen Metal Riffs alles Mögliche spielen. Meiner Meinung nach gibt der Sentient nicht nur bei Clean Parts einen schönen warmen aber klar definierten Ton wieder. Der Nazgul hingegen ist eher durchsetzungsfähiger mit mehr Biss und Attack in der härteren Gangart. Wobei er auch im Clean und Crunch Bereich einen guten Soundliefert. Auch Tapping ist ein echt wahrer Genuss und dass mit Leichtigkeit. Die Coil-Split Funktion ist auch sehr gut, gibt dem ganz noch ein wenig mehr Ausdruck. Beide zusammen ergeben einen schönen Mix ohne Gematsche wie es oft bei einigen andern Pickups vorkommt. Die Bespielbarkeit dieser Gitarre ist einfach nur klasse, dabei ist das Halsprofil ähnlich einer Ibanez angenehm, nicht zu dick aber auch nicht zu dünn. Das Griffbrett mit den Extra Jumbo Bünden ist ebenso gut, zusammen mit der Saitenlage ein Traum. Da stört kein Grad am Bund, man bleibt nicht irgendwo hängen beim hoch und runter wandern über das Griffbrett. Alles in einem ist diese Gitarre jeden Cent wert, da gibt es keinen Mangel, alles ist sauber verarbeitet. Für mich „Poland's Next Top Modell“ Das Warten hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt.
Auf der Suche nach einer neuen 7-saitigen Gitarre bin ich auf den Hersteller „Mayones“ gestoßen, allerdings war mir die Marke bisher unbekannt. Für Modelle anderer Hersteller im Markt konnten ich mich leider nicht weiter begeistern. Nach etwas Recherche über die Firma „Mayones“ und der „Duvell“ habe ich mich nach einem Test im Music Store zum Kauf entschlossen. Diese Gitarre möchte an dieser Stelle nicht mit anderen Gitarren diverser Hersteller vergleichen, da mich „die Anderen“ nicht interessieren. Der erste Eindruck und die Haptik war einfach nur umwerfend. Hier passt einfach alles. Von der Optik, Holzauswahl, Hipshot-Hardware, Tonabnehmer, Schaller Security Locks, Verarbeitung des Instruments, etc. : alles ist hier top verarbeitet und wurde klasse eingestellt. Es gibt meiner Meinung nach überhaupt nichts zu meckern ! In der Vergangenheit war ich eher im Bereich der aktiven Tonabnehmer unterwegs. Jetzt war ich hier auf den Klang der beiden Tonabnehmer sehr gespannt. Sowohl der „Sentient“ als auch der „Nazgul“ liefern von cleanen bis verzerrten Sounds einen klar definierten Ton – keinen Soundbrei. Durch das Coil-Splitting der Tonabnehmer gewinnt man noch Soundvariationen hinzu. Beide Tonabnehmer lassen keine Wünsche übrig und decken eine große Bandbreite ab, welche sich für diverse Stilrichtungen eignet. Wobei die „Duvell Elite 7“ die Marschroute in der Spielrichtung prinzipiell schon "a bisserl" vorgibt 😉 Das Handling / die Bespielbarkeit dieser Gitarre ist meiner Meinung nach einfach sagenhaft. Ob man mit dem Halsprofil gut zurechtkommt sollte im Soundcheck probiert werden. Mir liegt das Profil auf jeden Fall, der Hals ist nicht zu dick und nicht zu dünn für eine 7-Saitige. Am Gurt hängt das Instrument sehr ausgewogen. Aber ca. 2.500€ für die „Duvell Elite 7“ investieren??? Meiner Meinung ist diese Gitarre diesen Preis wert!!! Denn was nichts kostet, das ist auch nichts….

Mine just arrived today and it is absolutely flawless. Legator has unfortunately had a tainted reputation from their earlier runs, which I understand to some degree. I already had a Performance 7 with a single fret issue and the nut wasn't cut right, paint coating and logo faded…but is comfortable even still. But this G8FP is on another level. Zero fret buzz, zero blemishes, and incredible craftsmanship across the board. I'd definitely buy again, and highly recommend this if you are considering one. The longer scale on this makes the fanned frets feel more natural to me, as even though I love my fanned 7's ergonomics, it always takes me a few mins to readjust when going back to my regular fretted guitars. Not with this one. Easily the favorite of my 8 guitars. The Hive pickups aren't my favorite ever, but are totally useable with some tone tweaking…they have defined clarity in the higher range, but it's hard to compete with my Fishmans when it comes to that in the low end. No complaints whatsoever!Rob C
