Product Details:
The snark tuner revolutionized the tuner market with an affordable clip-on chromatic tuner. the sn-5 will tune anything you can clip it on. it responds quickly and features an easy to read display.
Reviews:
I was adding a 2nd tuner to my gear. This is a good tuner, but it defaults back to 440 Hz with every power down. I tune to 415, half step down and leave it there. My D'Addario tuner maintains whatever Hz adjustment was made prior to power down. I made the bad assumption that others of a quality brand would support this too. Plan to return to get this feature with another productDR
I bought a Snark tuner YEARS ago. I thought this one must be better (it's been years). Frankly it isn't (it's been years). It's OK. I don't mind it. I prefer my old one. That said, I bought two of these and will use use them all the time. When you're told that a product has been improved and the supposed improvements are are not only not perceptible but the product seems to be inferior then … what? YAY gold button! The gold button makes me SOOOO happy! I lurves me some gold button! Meh. Who needs a gold button?Rory
This tuner appears to be a decent quality item. The most important thin, of course is it works! Follow the colour indicator to the correct colour and your guitar is in tune. A neat touch is because of the ball joints, the tuner can be mounted on the back side of the headstock, out of view of an audience but still fully visible to the user. The other point is. It's simple. Turn it on, tune up, turn it off. Great little unit. Slightly more expensive but in my opinion, worth it.alsanjak

Reviews:
Finally….I have been messing around with tuners of all varieties for decades and have finally found one that does everything it promises to do and looks cuter than a fat puppy. It is accurate, highly visible and reacts instantaneously, no matter what you stick it on. Guitars, basses, mandos and whatever else you have will all get a fast, reliable reading. No more studio temper tantrums for this old picker. Oh yeah, and it costs less than a mug of beer.shake_speer
I really like the Snark tuner. You can turn the head where ever you need it to see the screen clearly. The tuning graph is easy to see, read and easy to get the pitch needle to the perfect pitch stop position. Very good value. Easy use, easy read. I am very satisfied.Gwindmorriso-0
I was looking for a good tuner that would be small and not too expensive. I read many reviews and came to the conclusion that this is a very good product that offers precision and comfort with a small size. It doesn't need volume for tuning, only vibration and it is very convenient to place it on the neck of your instrument. For the price i think it does the job and it is definitely not lagging behind other more pricey tuners. The tuner is more suitable for guitarist for it has some tuning options when using capo. Overall i think this is a good product for the price. The only drawback is that it consumes a lot of battery life because of the display, so if you are using a tuner frequently, take into account that you will need many replacement batteries (but the batteries are very cheap on E-bay so not a big problem)Michael
7. Snark S-5 Mini Guitar & Bass Tuner Black
Product Details:
The snark s-5 mini guitar and bass tuner is one of the smallest clip-on tuners out there. it's fully chromatic and at just 1 x 1 inch hides perfectly behind headstock. the bright diplay is big and easy to read, while the design is rugged enough to resist the riguers of stage and travel. the s-5 is ultrafast and accurate and works on acoustic and electric basses and guitars.
Reviews:
Planning on buying my second. I purchased one about a year ago and have used it on several guitars as well as a solid body and acoustic bass. It is as accurate as Snark's higher end models but I like it's compactness. Clipped atop your instrument facing the back side, it is out of sight to the audience but easily seen by the player (providing the stage light isn't too bright). Battery life expectancy so far has lasted longer than any other tuner I have. I find that a plus especially when I'm notorious of not having back ups. Bottom line, this is a great little tuner. Try one & see for yourself (especially if they are on sale.)Larry
I've been using this both for my Schecter guitar, and Ibanez 5-string bass. As of my guitar, it works excellently. It's nothing really spectacular, rather basic for a tuner, but it works quite well. As for bass, however… Pretty terrible. It really only recognizes the A, D, and G strings. It's very inaccurate when trying to tune the low-E string, and it's a complete pain trying to tune the low-B on my 5-string. Absolutely horrendous on that front, but you can't blame it too much, as that's a common problem with all clip-on tuners. In short, excellent for guitar, but, if you're playing bass, (Especially a 5-string) I'd recommend saving up for a pedal tuner.Davin
The design is terrible. Selling point of this tuner is that it's hidden behind the head stock. But the correct mounting position makes it very hard to see the display.Michael
