Reviews:
Big fan of sims and I mostly play for the unique building of houses/lots. On a PC it just logistically makes sense for the type of game play experience I want. I've built some fantastic houses with atriums and trees growing through the middle. The expansion packs add the razzle dazzle to the interior design aspect, you want the expansion packs first then go get the stuff packs you want. That way you also get some expansion in actual game play with your sim!brandy.e
The Sims 3 has the most unique gameplay of all the sims games. I’ve played this game since its initial release in 2007 and have played it through 2022 and will continue to play it. CAS is incredibly similar to how it appeared in TS2 but the sims take on a 2007 attempt at realism. The eyes are incredibly detailed and are what caught my attention most. The base game hair and outfits are alright but lack the variety and depth of some of the other games. Expansion packs are a requirement to get the full CAS library at its best and that goes for gameplay and bb mode too. Build/buy is a bit clunky compared to the Sims 4 however it is still capable of producing some amazing looks. Pets, Seasons, and Supernatural have the best BB items and add so much diversity to what you can build. Gameplay is heavily reliant on mods and expansion packs. The game was poorly optimized and therefore when playing the game vanilla without mods, you will encounter inevitable lag. Isla Paradiso from the Island Paradise pack is notoriously the worst but I have experienced a great deal of lag from Late Night, Showtime, and Pets. The expansion packs for the game (in mu opinion) are as follows from best to worst: •seasons- adds a ton of CAS and BB items, adds weather, holidays, and should be base game but will never be base game. •generations- while the CAS and BB are lacking in style IMO, the gameplay makes families so much more worthwhile and fun. The imaginary friends start out as creepy but become endearing •supernatural- even if you dont care for playing supernatural sims, the BB and CAS are incredible. It adds the new world Moonlight Falls which has a beautiful Victorian style and setting and the supernaturals themselves are fun and fleshed out. •Pets- pets adds the lovely world of Appaloosa plains, cats, dogs, horses, and a plethora of small animals and rustic, farm style houses and build buy. The CAS is also fantastic and has some of my favorite clothing options •World Adventures- WA adds so much gameplay and it never feels boring or too simplistic, no matter how many times you play it. WA offers 3 destination worlds of Egypt, France, and Chins to explore and learn special skills from. There are tombs to discover, new recipes, and the CAS is fantastic and the BB allows for styles of homes that fit the cultures added to the game. •Ambitions- I loved the world of Twinbrooke and the Louisiana Swamp inspiration. The skills, BB, CAS, and most everything about the gameplay is fantastic, but I seldom utilized it in my gameplay. The new careers are really fun and do add a ton of gameplay in instead of just rabbit holes for work, but there weren’t as many careers to choose from so I rarely chose them. Overall it is an amazing pack however •University Life- UL is amazing for Young Adult sims to get degrees and jump start their careers. The BB is pretty good but the CAS is something I use in every game because of how diverse it is. The pack can get a bit boring, but I still think it offers unique gameplay and a ton of new skills and things for your sims to do •Late Night- late night and Bridgeport city do not come to mind when I think Sims3 BUT the celebrity system and the BB does come to mind. Celebrities in the sims 3 walked so TS4 could run. Clubbing wasn’t anything too noteworthy but the new skills offered were so much fun, especially having more instruments than just a guitar. •Island Paradise- poorly optimized world but the CAS and BB were pretty good. Hotels were a ton of fun to open but got frustrating with how sims were not the best at listening. The world is incredibly beautiful and Scuba Diving is such a strange but fun skill that I didn’t often use but loved when I did. The mermaids were an okay occult but beyond looking cool, their gameplay was lackluster. •Into the Future- got annoying quickly and while it had some great BB the CAS was often too eclectic to use in regular gameplay, as well as often times being ugly. The future is cool and has some unique skills, but they often were ignored in my gameplay or didn’t provide enough for continuous use of them. Overall, TS3 has a lot of gameplay but its heavily reliant on packs and special mods to optimize the game to prevent lag or problems. If you want to get into the sims, its a great game to considersamantha.c
Looking back, The Sims 3 was the pinnacle of Sims content. While the graphics were typical of the time and the game had a tendency to crash at the slightest pressure to the CPU, the actual gameplay and content was spectacular. The base game itself is full and vibrant, and absolutely sufficient to play on its own without investing in expansion packs. But the expansion packs add completely new dimensions to the game! Compared to the Sims 4, which has a bland and repetitive base game and bare-bones, obvious cash grabs as DLC. If you don’t mind the crashing and dated features, this is vastly superior to TS4.jennifer.h
2. Sims The Sims Medieval
Product Details:
Moving its people-management play from familiar suburban settings to a fairy tale realm of knights and knaves, the sims medieval adds aspects of role-playing and city-building games to the series' life-simulation. instead of focusing on the lives of individual characters, medieval players guide the development of their own storybook kingdoms, which are driven by ambitions of their choosing. similar to the character ambitions in earlier sims games, a variety of kingdom ambitions is available from which to choose, with many based in desires for health, wealth, or power. once they've established a goal, players may recruit great heroes to embark upon noble quests that will help the kingdom reach it. as the kingdom grows in power and prosperity, new ambitions lead to new quests, and new heroes become available. unlike in previous games from the best-selling pc series, a sims medieval story has a beginning and ending. players invent the adventure that takes place in between, through the characters they customize and the quests they accept.

At first this game seemed to be so fun and exciting. It was for a first few hours and than it began being boring. You have a lot of tasks that are very similar which is not that fun after a while. You can't build in this sims, you can only buy furniture. There is not much things to do. I am giving it 3 stars because it is something different from the regular sims and fun at the beginning.

I didn't realize how much you could adjust your character including animals in this game. The only thing I really had an issue with was how they determine how much money you get. Also where is the variety of clothing. I can adjust everything on body of an animal but I can't have or make my own flannel colored shirt? Anyways it also made me want to buy the Fantasy Pack as well but those things are kind of expensive whenever you got bills to pay.katy.s
The Sims series is one that I have long enjoyed. Last Christmas when I was looking around for something to get myself, it didn't take me long to decide. I had been enjoying the Sims 2 for quite some time, so I decided to upgrade. I bought the combination of the base Sims3 as well as this expansion and one other. Gameplay itself is much improved. I quite like the additional features, yet it still retained the familiarity of the Sims 2. The base game works just fine on my computer with no issues and very little lag. Then came the Pets. I was very excited about this part of the game, because you finally get to control the pets the way you can the Sims themselves. It sounded like an amazing upgrade, so as soon as Christmas came I eagerly installed and updated my game, only to suffer extreme disappointment. Visit Youtube and you can readily find videos of the kind of distortion I was dismayed to find occurring in my game. It only seems to effect the pets themselves, and only the cats, dogs, and horses at that. They simply don't render properly. Their images are horridly distorted such that one cannot even tell the species until a sound effect gives it away. Often some body parts will float some distance away or be turned around backwards altogether! It is impossible to enjoy playing with pets that look more like the result of a nuclear attack. I can't use what was one of my main motivations for playing the game. For the first few months, owners of the Sims Pets expansion, many of whom were suffering as I was, were led to believe there would be a patch. I had faith that this was true, and during this time bought the Sims Medieval as well. As it turns out, we were lied to. EA Games now says that it is not their problem, and refuse to fix this glitch. My only option is to turn to third party software, or just not play an expansion I have already paid $30 to get! There is a third party solution out there too, so I know it is not just our computers. EA Games is being completely irresponsible and ignoring the needs of consumers of what is probably their most popular product. Sadly because of this I will not be buying anything more from them until I can see for sure that it works properly, and I will definitely never buy until the cost goes down. I, for one, cannot afford to throw away another $30-40 on a product the company will not even ensure is working properly.Michelle
I love sims sooo much. I think out of every expansion pack this was my favorite. You can create your own animals and customize them! It's so fun to be able to ride horses on this game! I wish there was a way you could watch your sim compete in horse races! You can train your animals, and even make them have jobs! I'm really sad because this will not work on my computer anymore. All of my other games work perfectly and this one just won't!!alli.m

I was pretty hyped when mermaids was hinted at for Sims 4. The new neighborhood is beautiful! I love the idea of the ocean surrounding pretty much everything and all the things they added, including clothes and build-items. The mermaids are cool! There's some issues, mermaids seem to not swim correctly when not in the ocean and the living off grid could be better. But still totally worth it!heaven.c
I like the open dive world. Its amazing to see what they catch while trying to avoid sharks lol There is a way to make good money for Sims in Paradise Island just being in the water. The graphics are good, I haven't experienced any lagging other than normal game function The game isn't a new game I believe it's eight or nine years old so I got it for less than 20 bucks which I thought was pretty cool It came very quickly and was easy to install just like all the other expansion packs. In my opinion, this is one of the best expansion packs, although my style of game play often focuses on careers and increasing certain skills. Although, I could go without the social networking skill, which is a bit annoying. I have yet to make a plantsim, but look forward to doing so. This expansion pack also adds to the adult lifespan by giving various benefits to attending college (career progression, more time to accumulate skills, meeting new sims). If you're really into the gardening or cooking skill, this is probably one of the best EP's for you since the new "herbs" and coffee beans really add a new dimension to those skills.crist_caudi
The university world is SO buggy. There is a major path-finding issues getting to classes. Only one can go in the door at a time, creating an enormous "traffic jam". I've missed entire classes due to this bug, others have had this problem as well. Getting around campus in general is just weird, your Sim will walk on the sidewalk in complete circles to get to a class at times. Overtime, your performance will dip. If you don't study/learn skills during multiple intervals during the day, you will have a hard time. Classes drain fun like mad, you can loose half of the fun bar in one two-hour class! That's when your Sim works hard but you will need to work hard due to make up for the steady dip of the performance bar. The parties were a big feature when advertised. You will have to keep your fun up, study often everyday, sleep 10 hours, go to 2-6 hours worth of classes. You got that? When is there ANY time to party? After graduation I worked with these parties and I had quite a bit of fun with them. I liked the parties this expansion pack had, a nice addition. I really liked all of the new clothes, hair and item to buy. Those bunk beds are AWESOME, the new plants are really cool as well. I liked the social groups addition, the new jobs are certainly a plus. The photography skill was an alright addition, it's fun but isn't very profitable until you get a really high level. Social networking was a great addition. Blogging isn't very profitable compared to most professions but it only takes a few minutes to get started and start posting. It's a work-at-home skill, I enjoyed it. Overall, it's not bad but if you could buy a different expansion pack; save your money. If you were to ask me if I could get my money back, I'd say no. I got a fair amount of enjoyment out of it but I'd recommend other packs over this one.SnowyDoll

I've installed this on my Washburn D26 (Solid Cedar Top with Laminated Koa Back and Sides) which has always been loud, but a bit boxy sounding. The installation was relatively simple and quick (A few minutes including loosening and retuning strings). It's a nice snug fit. I could immediately tell that the sound had improved. Notes really are more defined, clear, and have better sustain. The general timber seems to have also warmed as the guitar is now a bit more bassy and balanced even though the high strings seem brighter, yet fuller, too. Interesting thing, and I don't know if this is good or bad, it is almost impossible to overdrive the sound. No matter how hard I strum (with a medium-hard pick) there is a "volume ceiling." Where before, hitting the volume ceiling meant putting out a very harsh sound, now even with hard strumming, the guitar sounds as if it has been tamed a bit. Picking individual notes also produces a clearer tone. The only possible downside: I am a bit concerned about the material potentially damaging the finish and wood around the hole. As I will probably never remove the O-Port on this particular guitar, I'll never notice if any damage has occurred. It's also my beater, so who cares. I can't see myself installing one of these and taking the chance on my Taylor 815 or my Larrivee L9 – besides they don't need any help in the sound department anyway. In addition, I can't tell if there has been any effect on the plugged-in sound. Feedback, tone, sustain, etc. seem the same. Finally, my buddy put one on his Gibson Songwriter, but I don't think it's had similar effects. His guitar has definitely gotten quieter and is not the boomy and bassy guitar it once was. While the volume suppression has also taken place in his Gibson, it has done so much more significantly. Don't get me wrong, it still sounds great with the O-Port, but it has an entirely different personality. What was once a throaty guitar with strong attack, is now more of a crooner. He loves it. Me, not as much. A previous review had mentioned something about the O-Port having more positive effects on lower end guitars and not so much with the higher end ones. Maybe this is what he was talking about?mclarkin
Bought one of these this morning at my local GC (Towson, MD), installed it, and got me a really nice increase in volume before feedback. –To my ears, it sounds like this thing reduces the Woofie low frequencies. As a result, the non amplified acoustic sound has a bit less low end "thump." However, this reduction of low frequencies makes the overall tone a bit more sharp, more clear. It did NOT make the acoustic output louder, or at least it's not noticeable to me. –Because the woofie lows are attenuated I actually am able to CRANK UP the lows and the overall level on the LoudBox Mini amp without the usual howling feedback. I know that this sounds like a contradiction, but it works!Mark
I installed the O Port on my PRS Acoustic in February. As cheap as it is, I thought, I'll give it a shot. Install was easy and I did notice a bit of change in volume – Cool. Fast forward to late June – I needed to remove it to get to my electronics inside the body and slowly and easily started trying to remove it and noticed I was getting a little tear on the rim, or lip, where it flips up and over and hugs outside of your sound hole. So I tried to be even more gentle, but all of a sudden it just ripped right up the side. Maybe the plastic got brittle over the last 6 months. Anyway, I'm not crying over it, since it wasn't expensive to start with…. I suppose I could try to glue or tape it back together, but it wasn't a huge game changer, so will forgo any attempt at fixing. Will be adding it to the recycling bin 🙂 … Hopefully others will have a better experiencesfmattie
12. Xotic Effects Super Sweet Booster
Product Details:
Many players favor vintage sounding pickups, however, due to design and age factors, they (more than often) lack enough power to push the front end of the amp. those who are knowledgeable about tone know how to bring out the sweetness of the amp with familiar “staple” pedals like ts808 or sd-1. these players have developed a technique and sound based around leaving the overdrive pedal “on” all the time however not everybody likes this preference. the super sweet boost (ssb) offers a dynamic and transparent +20db clean boost perfectly tuned for transferring the articulation of your guitar playing. the ssb is incorporated with a high-performance class a preamplifier built around the famous jrc4558 chip. the boost frequency can be selected by an external dip switch that offers versatile tone shaping capabilities. premium components have been selected to ensure maximum durability and tone quality throughout the circuit including a super heavy duty foot switch, audio grade capacitors and custom designed potentiometer. there’s no doubt that it's everybody's dream to discover “the tone.” the ssb gives you the potential to discover new meaning in your guitar tone.

Reviews:
Great little guitar for grabbing on the fly, and playing without disturbing anyone, anytime, anyplace. Has enough adjustment to set up for good playability, and the build quality is good. The 4 internal amp modes are good enough to practice a variety of styles, albeit without any gain adjustment (only volume and tone). The only drawback so far is that it doesn't seem to allow for bypass of the amplifier to get a natural analog signal out to a separate amp or other interface. It seems to require the powered internal amp at all times, even in the "bypass/clean" setting. Removing the batteries kills the output signal altogether, even in the "bypass/clean" setting, which I expected to default to passive electronics. This is majorly disappointing since the noise picked up through the small internal amp is always injected into the signal no matter what. They need to add a bypass switch which allows for passive operation when desired or necessary. Don't run out of batteries at your gig!
I wanted something small, not so much for travel but for playing around the house. My main requirements were that it was comfortable to play seated, well balanced without a strap, and small enough to play on the couch. The headphone preamp was the main feature that made me decide on this model over the others. Turns out it's actually comfortable to play seated, and an unexpected bonus is not having the headstock, I can set it down pretty much anywhere without worrying about knocking it out of tune. I also find the tuners to be more convenient than the normal arrangement, since I can pluck a string with my right hand then turn the tuning peg without going anywhere. The frets all look good, no cosmetic issues anywhere. I seem to be getting just a bit of fret buzz on the 4th string around 5, but I'll wait a few weeks to see if that changes with the environment. Oh, and when playing on the overdrive or distortion settings, the sustain is just unreal, I wasn't expecting much for the size. Bonus is it's small enough I think I may be able to play it in the passenger seat on road trips when the wife takes turns driving!
Bought an EG-1 custom at Guitar Center. Got it home, plugged the headphones in and was pleasantly surprised. Then… plugged in the Amp and though WOW!! This little guy is on point. The fit & finish, tone, features & initial setup were impressive. It's PERFECT for what I needed. I'll enjoy being able to tote this around & also put in carry-on with me. Excellent Job Traveler, It's evident… ya'll take pride in your build quality.

Reviews:
For years Squier has been a popular brand of discount Fenders. They were often someone's first guitar. It was very rare that a guitar enthusiast would want to search out a Squier for their collection, once it was established. Squier has been seriously making a much better product in recent years. With their Paranormal line they have created guitars that are definitely worth owning. They are uniquely crafted, despite being made in China. Even the pickups are designed to be specific to the sound the guitar goes for. The Super Sonic is easily one of the most eye catching. With two volume knobs and two exceptionally juiced humbuckers, you will be surprised what this guitar brings to the table. It's sound can be explosive and heavy. It is made for overdrive pedals and tube amps. The tremolo is near perfect. Two bits of advice that you must know when you get this guitar; first it comes with the wrong type of strings on it. You will need at least 10s in a heavy gauge to make the tremolo work without it slipping out of tune. 9s will not cut it, so restring it first thing. Also the string action most often comes from the factory being too high. Make sure you have a small allen wretch. Adjust the string height is extremely easy, easier than all my Fenders, and it can go low. You get some low action on this guitar, with the tremolo working perfect, and that thick overdrive, you have yourself an addition to your collection that is very much worth the money. This guitar is very much a reason to set out and go in search of a Squier.Ragnorok76
This was my first purchase from ProAudioStar. I ordered on Wednesday, it shipped on Thursday and arrived on Saturday. The guitar was well packed and arrived safely. The Squier Toronado itself is gorgeous with quality similar to the Classic Vibes. Frets are nice, finish is perfect, neck is straight, no obvious flaws (after 2 days at least!). The humbuckers are surprisingly bright, which is a good thing to me. The only word of caution is that the LPB finish is darker than usual. I have a LPB Stratocaster and the Toronado is significantly darker. I actually like the darker shade, it's just something to be aware of.AverageTortoise-819
A perfectly playable guitar at a sub $500 price point that’s a ton of fun as well! Pros: Short-scale, humbucker-equipped, independent volume and tone controls (all very un-Fender-like)! Cons: I would have preferred a satin finished neck; however, the gloss finish looks great, the pickups were set up waaaaay too low to even be really audible, one of saddle screws was stripped and fell out. These last two I fixed myself. Otherwise, the guitar looks and plays great! A quirky Fender with a big voice!Scott
15. String Butler V3 Stealth
Product Details:
V3 black stealth addresses frustrating tuning issues found on many guitars with a 3 + 3 headstock configuration. the string butler's design attaches to the head of your guitar and corrects the angle of the strings as they pass through the nut. this guitar mod greatly improves the tuning stability of your guitar * vintage style tuners with collars / sockets / bushings require vintage adapter kit 1 or 2 available here on amazon. this german designed by dietrich parts, all metal, chrome plated, guitar accessory is assembled in germany so you know it is designed well and durable for many years of trouble free service. the rollers used on this guitar upgrade insure low friction as the strings are rerouted to the tuning machine heads. corrects the position of the a, d, g, b string for a straight course through the saddle notches/nut, therefore preventing the guitar strings from getting stuck in the saddle/nut * keeps the tuning of the strings even intense guitar playing * fast and easy installation version v3 with minimum hole spacing 35 mm / maximum hole spacing 58 mm * if you have vintage style tuners with collars / sockets and no hex nut around the post, you need the vintage adapter kit 1 for non gibson like epiphone & gretsch or vintage adapter kit 2 for gibson guitars which is sold separately here on amazon. please visit intuneguitars in canada website for detailed compatibility information. not compatible with sperzel or planet waves auto trim locking tuners as these tuning posts are wider than 8mm. also some locking tuners may not be compatible as the tuning posts maybe to short. the test to see if the string butler will fit under your locking tuners is to take off 1 hex nut and put the edge of a canadian quarter ( the string butler is the same thickness of a quarter ) against the tuning post then screw the hex nut back on. if the hex nut screws back all the way and the string insertion hole is not covered or by 50% or less then you should be able to pass your string through it and the string butler will be compatible. hope that makes sense.

About $10 too pricey but it does what it says it will do. Most of your tuning problems will be be over, especially if you do what I did on my SG… Tusq XL nut, Grover tuners and a Wilkinson roller bridge. That may seem a bit overboard but if you're frustrated enough by tuning issues, you'll try anything. In the end, it was worth it… Ridiculously playable and stable guitar. The String Butler was an essential part of the solution. Highly recommend.claydiesel76

We now have 3 Sawtooth guitars. We are extremely pleased with all of them. We have an acoustic, electric, and now this beginner's electric guitar pack. Our youngest son won't put this guitar down. The black is a cool see through gloss. You can see the wood grain through the gloss finish. The guitar is of good quality. Much better than I thought it would be.The amp is portable, and can be used for headphones. Take note, that this is an amp that takes batteries (9 volt), or you can get an adapter for it. Comes with everything he needed to get started.Maximilian

Reviews:
My 5 year old son received this electric guitar for Christmas 2019 and still loves it. Of course we are selective when he uses it because it's an instrument and he gets a little loud. My niece that is older than my son tried his electric guitar during the summer and I just had to order another one because she loved it so much that she wants one for Christmas 2020. I appreciate that everything fits right in the bag (even the amp) so that nothing gets lost and it keeps organized. For the price it's a wonderful starter kit for your little musician. I have ordered a few things from Best Choice Product and I had one issue with an item which they rectified and they have yet to let me down!!!!Sherry H.
My Son Joseph took who is now 4 yrs old has always had a blast strumming his toy acoustic guitar and pretending his a Little Rock Star ever since he was 2. I’ve been wondering if such a guitar designed for little ones even existed, a real genuine scaled down version. Naturally I was elated to find that BCP offered a guitar exactly like the one I had envisioned at a very reasonable price. This is our second time ordering a toy for our Son from BCP and we couldn’t be more impressed with both of our purchases. If your interested in taking your little ones love of playing guitar to the next level I strongly recommend BCP’s 30’ kids electric beginner guitar.Joseph V.
This guitar was a Christmas gift for my six year old granddaughter. She had been playing a toy guitar and creating songs so this was a great gift for her. She loves it and play every opportunity she is given. I did not realize how heavy it would be when she offered to allow me to play under her direction. Thank you for providing a quality product. The body and neck were acceptable though they did require some expected work. The hardware furnished was of extremely poor quality, for example when I installed the tuners and tried to install the strings three of the tuners would not work forcing me to purchase new tuners to proceed with the project. After I tried to remove the strings after the tuners wouldn't function, three of the strings were stuck in the Tremolo Bridge. The entire project was plagued with issues such as this and I would not recommend this to anyone.trurut_xxsszx
