Fender medium picks have always served me well. They are sturdy, feel good in your hand, and have just the right amount of attack for both rhythm and lead playing. I purchased the Ocean Turquoise set and can attest that they draw the eye, even if you're the only one who notices.Dustin
I personally like the Fender 347 Classic Celluloid (THIN) guitar picks for songs that involve lots of strumming in addition to a softer, quieter sound production as opposed to the Hard picks of the same brand and shape. These are also better for beginning guitarists as they are easier to strum a guitar. Sometimes you just want a quieter pick for certain songs similar to a drum brush drummers use for Jazz or certain songs that are better performed with a quieter, softer sound.irishkale
While I switch back and forth between the type of guitar I play and the thickness of the plectrum, I have been partial to Fender since starting the instrument 30 years ago. This deal is as cheap as they come so far. I've seen several posts that are for just 1 (one, uno!) guitar/bass pick for the same price. Unless it's from a concert by your favorite musician, your wasting your money. I lose one every time, so get a lot, and know beforehand what you need in terms of thickness, the music/tempo at which you play, and the gauge of string instrument that works best for you. An aside: there is an odor when they come in relative "bulk" as will all/most pics. The odor dissipates gradually. One pick doesn't smell but a ziplock bag full of them does. Fast ship. It may sound funny, but your choice of plectrum (Pick) has a huge impact on the sound of your guitar! A heavy pick will produce a more mellow sound with less attack, whilst a thinner one will sound brighter with greater attack and have the flexibility that allows for faster picking techniques. Harder materials also impart brightness to your sound and increase attack. I choose Fender Thin picks because they are both hard and flexible and produce a very natural sound, at least to my ears. Fender have been making these forever, and for good reason – Just like the Stratocaster guitar, somethings just work better than others and can't really be improved upon that much. If you're a really heavy hitter, you might find yourself going through a few of these Fender THIN Picks during the course of a gig, but they are cheap enough, and it is a small price to pay for the benefits they bring, in my opinion.mark1964-6979
I bought this pack of Tortugas because I was attracted by the material, I thought it was a new celluloid color. In reality I was wrong, this material is definitely not celluloid, and I also made a mistake ordering the 551 size, which is much smaller than the traditional Fender shape 351 and with a sharp point. However I am getting used to them, even if they are more suitable for an electric guitar than the acoustic I am playing. Grip is good, there is no flexibility in the XH version I bought so it's quite good for fast passages, I would say it sounds slightly brighter than a traditional celluloid plectrum with less attack noise. The material looks beautiful and I already ordered a pack of 351 to compare.cuthbert_1978

15. Dunlop 12 Pack Nylon Standard .73mm Guitar Picks
Product Details:
The humble plectrum is more commonly known as a pick. jim dunlop nylon picks are available in a wide variety of gauges to suit the differing styles of guitar playing. players normally try using different types of plectra in order to find one that suits their own playing style best.of all the picks on the market, nylon is the most popular, with a smooth and slick surface. nylon is a flexible material and can be produced in very thin sheets. most thin and extra-thin picks are made of nylon. however, this material does loses its flexibility after 1-2 months of extensive use. nylon becomes fragile and breaks which is why guitarists that use thin nylon picks should have several spare plectrums just in case.guitar picks vary in thicknesses to accommodate the wide range of playing styles and different kinds of strings. thinner plectra are more flexible and tend to offer a wider range of sounds from soft to loud. they produce a "click" that emphasises the attack of the picking, however, some argue that heavier picks produce a brighter tone.

Reviews:
I've been playing guitar and bass for more than 7 years, and during that time I've tried lots of different picks. However, I always come back to these 1 millimeter nylon picks. I love the way they feel in my hand, especially the way the rough surface on the edge makes it easier to grip. They even add a bit of volume to my dreadnought acoustic guitar, which makes them great for intimate live shows where you don't have a mic. They're not quite as durable as some Dragon's Heart picks I've tried (which are also great), but they're cheap enough that it doesn't hurt too much if they wear out or get lost. They're simple, reliable, and a pleasure to use.Laakso
I like the shape, and the dunlop logo on the pick is embossed which gives it good grip. But the material used is garbage quality. They get burned out faster than anything else I've ever used. After a couple days I noticed the pick I was using was snagging the strings, inspected it closely and noticed there were indentations and the edge was textured. Needless to say at that point the pick is bust. I've already gone through 5 of them since I got the order. Never had this issue with any of the dozens of brands I've had.jd1337
I can't comment on quality because these are a Christmas present, but I was under the impression they would be differ colors. Needless to say I was a tad disappointed when they came in and we're all the same sad grey color. Other than that they seem fine but if you are expecting different colors then bewareLexi

These are decent. Nothing to write home about but certainly good enough. I bought these along with some more pricy options, as just some picks to try/add to my stash/leave around… theyre fine, the grip is a nice touch, but out of all the picks i bought, these are my least favorite (gibson 50 pk. Was best, dunlop sculpted primetone 3 pk at #2, and the graphtech tusq's 6 pk at #3, and then these at #4.) All of them are good quality tho, so if you just want a 12 pk of decent picks you wont be disappointed. I would still probably recommend the tusq's specifically as a better alternative, the lettering on both sides of those gives just as nice a grip but the material is better.J. Leigh
My husband has been using nylon picks for at least 10 years now. He always buys his nylon picks at a Doo Woo Shop. I, myself have use these picks too and they are easy to grip, super flexible, and they dont break either. I highly recommend these picks for anyone playing guitar, especially for beginners who are just starting out.brittany.m
Dunlop guitar picks are hands down my favorite picks to use. Like most guitarists, I put my guitar picks through hell. I find them in the washer, the dryer, the vacuum, my car, my purse… all over the place. These jokers hold up like nothing else does. They have great durability and the size couldn't be better.ashley.l

Overall: Simply amazing. I have used everything from matchbooks to diced up credit cards and even real rock picks ( and they do rock) but these Flow picks are out of this world. The articulation and roundness of tone are a wet dream of sound. The variety pack gives one the opportunity to explore sizes and feel available. I can easily swear by them.
