Schecter t s/h-12 with hard case. excellent condition. one tiny ding along the side. this is a really gorgeous-sounding guitar with a lot of options, one of the best pseudo-rickenbackers ever produced. volume and tone knobs for both pickups, and an extra 2-way switch to make it single-coil. the "lipstick-bucker" pickups have a really great sharp high-end tone. beautiful color.this sounds like a dream, looks like a dream hanging on the wall. i wanted one for years, but now that i have it, i don't really have any project that needs a 12-string! better it goes to someone who has more use for it.

Never ever thought I'd own a Schecter. I always saw them as reserved for metal players, and I play alt.country. Saw this strange love child of a Rickenbacker and a Gretsch at the local candy store and had to try her out. Fit and finish are awesome. The retro look combines with a sort of psychedelic twistedness that makes the guitar fit in with my shows. Reverse sunburst?!? Yep. Droopy wing on the cutaway?!? Sure nuff cool. But the best part is how nicely the neck plays and how those humbuckers growl and bite. Hit the tap and sound like Luther from Johnny Cash's band. Hit it again and you're playing screaming leads. I purchased the TSH-1 (red) after a friend had told me that he had bought a Schecter and couldn't believe the quality for the price. He's more "shredder" than I, but I decided to check out Schecter and ran across the "retro" line. After digging through the models and various reviews I came to Musician's Friend to make the purchase. Service and packing were outstanding. I unpacked this thing and wow. Absolutely stunning guitar. Pictures on the web misrepresent the color making it look too red. It is really a deep, almost oxblood/ candy apple red to black burst. My friend was right: Fit, finish, and all around quality rivals the biggest brands. I can say that with confidence having sold a Gibson ES-335 a month ago. Nice guitar, but not for the price. So, yes. I replaced a high end Gibson with a much less expensive Schecter and couldn't be more happy that I did. Go watch the videos on you tube, the TSH sounds great, plays wonderfully, and looks freakin' amazing. Pardon me while I go spend the rest of my 335 money on more Schecter guitars.SchecterLove

The guitar is very well built along with a great design for a semi hollow body guitar. Easy to play. And comes set up much better than epiphone & Ibanez guitars. This is my second Schecter brand guitar. Schecter in now confirmed my go to brand because of this guitar. Plays like butter, feels beautiful and looks absolutely stunning. Overall: The only gripe I had about this guitar was that it had a bit of fret buzz. However, the look of the guitar is awesome. I like the reverse headstock on the e1 sls evil twin. The finish on the back of the guitar is awesome. You can feel the grain of the swamp ash body and the multi piece neck. The Fishman pick ups sound amazing. Also, it is very difficult to find this style of guitar with a reverse headstock. I would have preferred an inlay on the first fret also in order to complete the Roman numeral theme. I recently lost this guitar in a bus crash and was looking to replace it. Nothing else really sparked my interest or had the same features (coil split, decent trem, locking tuners) around this price so I just bought the same one again. Beautiful top, a really warm tone from the pickups that at first came across as muddy, but after a few tweeks it has a beautiful deep, richness to the tone. I was not surprised that it has All the midrange and then some! would have purchased it anyway because of the looks , Abalone vine of life on a ebony fingerboard. Absolutely stunning. This year, I set a personal goal (yeah…. new year's resolution stuff) that I want to play 3 songs by Christmas. I had a 12 (soon to be 13) years old guitar (a real cheap one, like $100-$200 one). As I was learning playing guitar, I wanted to give myself a strong motive not to drop. After months of research, I found that I like the feel of Schecter neck – thin C that's what they say. I actually went to a local guitar store, wandered around a few times, then learned about it – the feel of the neck. I called Sweetwater or emailed I'm not so sure now. Got a call from Isaac. He and I talked several times on the phone. I explained what I want, what my budget will be, and what kind of music I want to learn. Isaac shared his knowledge and perspectives. I landed with this beautiful Schecter C-1 Exotic. It was backordered. Since I was not in a hurry, I decided to wait. Early Nov, Isaac called me saying "Hey, it looks like you will get it by mid-Nov." Awesome! I also purchased some guitar goodies where Isaac commented and helped choosing right and good stuffs. It's been about 3 weeks now. The guitar is a beauty. Actions are quite low. No buzzing. This guitar looks brilliant. The satin blue finish is exceptionally svelte. It's a decent guitar from a playing standpoint, but is more suited for the intermediate player getting their first upgrade to a more pro-like guitar. Particular people (like myself) will be disheartened by its poor quality binding that has obvious flaws where it meets the guitar body below the top wood. This wouldn't bother me half as much if the flaws were in places I couldn't see while playing, or if there were less of them. This flaw continues throughout the whole guitar – neck, headstock, and body. Mine was supposed to be a brand new guitar, but came pre-blemished – or pre-played. It has what appears to be pick scrapes on the body below the pickups (where this type of damage is usually found). There is also a mystery substance located behind the bridge in tiny little spots. (Consistent with a sneeze spray). Above the pickups, in approximately the same place your picking hand rests, there is a wide blemish that looks like it happened post-factory. The sound is what you'd expect, the active pickups do sterilize the tone as usual. I recommend upgrading to passive high-output humbuckers for a much warmer tone. The neck feels like a thinner Les Paul type neck. Plenty of resonance and sustain with the string-thru bridge and set-neck assembly. The neck is smooth, but not fast. This guitar's tone control may as well have been left off. Slight roll backs do nothing. And even when you go full sweep, the tone only slightly changes. I pull this guitar out of tune constantly as big wide bends are a part of my style. Locking tuners would be a HUGE upgrade, and will be one of my first mods, after the passive pups, and a coil-tap. It really is a beautiful instrument. But I feel a bit ripped off for paying "new" prices for "used" equipment.Dennis H.
This guitar plays and sounds great. I was looking for a guitar for a while, and played a ton of different brand and different price range guitars for a few months, and I kept coming back to this one. This guitar plays as good if not better as many guitars priced much higher that I played. I am very happy with the purchase. There are a couple very minor blems in the binding, but something you wouldnt notice if you didnt look very close. I think the EMG pickups sound great not only with high gain, but also with clean tones. The neck pickup (85) has a great chimey sound with cleans in particular. Songs that were difficult for me on cheaper guitars play great on this. Love the action and responsiveness. Your fingers can dance across the fretboard effortlessly. The active EMG 85/81 pickups pair well with the mahogany body so far. Any weird tones were due to me playing around and experimenting with my Katana amp settings rather than the guitar. It came new and ready to play with minor tuning-the intonation, truss, etc were all dialed in. The finish is beautiful and smooth, the frets were in perfect shape as well.JS

Just 2 years old and very lightly played, strictly at home. it has a few cosmetic scuffs and some discoloration on the floyd rose (see pictures) but none affect playability whatsoever. the active emg pickups, electronics and all hardware aside from the slightly discoloured bridge are still in excellent condition and the back of the neck is still flawless. i do have a white levi's quick-release leather strap and a hardcase for this, which i can include for an added 50. please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions.

Overall: Very nice piece of work by schecter research. very easy play, i like the way the guitar feels, and how easy it is to play, as a player with small hands. the color is more a sapphire blue, the shifts to purple. not like the picture shown in a teal green. that was a disappointment, although i will keep it as it is.the sustainic feature is different from what im use to. but will like it once i am use to it. the guitar sounds terrific. and what you would expect with the price tag. overall very pleased with it. wish they were more color options to choose from. zZounds is a good retailer to buy from. i have bought from them a couple times over the years and been treated fairly, never any issues with their help or knowledge. pay as you go is a good deal for people who don't want to pay all at once.Jackie
Very impressed with this guitar. Workmanship is exemplary, Lots of tonal variations. Enough guts for metal, yet easy to get clean strat type tones. The sustainiac system is freaky. With a little practice you can really use it to your advantage. Just when you need it, its like someone kicked in a super compressor for amazing sustain. I haven't done much dive-bombs but this guitar stays in tune. Really stays in tune!!! Big plus. Im putting my other guitars away and will use this for everything going forward. The neck is nice and thin, its a little wider than I thought. Cant compare the width to my SG Angus Young in this aspect, but still very playable for small hands. This is a very well built guitar for the money. The UV finish is amazing. Pictures don't really give you a good idea of how awesome it looks in person. The carbon fiber binding on the body and neck is a nice touch. I love the ultra thin C neck… so smooth playing with the ebony fretboard and satin finish on the neck back. For anyone trying to decide between (Sustainiac) vs the EMG 66 (neck), I had the EMG 57/66 version first, but returned it (bad volume pot). The EMG 66 is a very clear sounding pickup and I did like it, but ultimately the Sustainiac when used as a neck pickup sounds nice as well. Not as clear and articulate, more of a fat single coil sound. I think the benefit of having the Sustainiac outweighs the clearer sounding EMG 66. I don't own a proper guitar amp and usually play through my computer, nice having the Sustainiac to get that harmonic feedback that would usually take a large amp cranked up. I just got one of these for ~$200 off for being 'open box'. I think someone returned it due to some very minor cosmetic QC issues. The tone knob was a little high, the fretboard was bone dry and looked like they dripped some oil on it but forgot to rub it in, and the finish was a little rough in a couple spots where it meets the binding. So I dropped the knob down, oiled the fretboard, and buffed out the rough edges. Took about 30 minutes. Not even worth taking a star off in my opinion. Now for the thing that matters most, what you're really paying for here: the fretwork. It's fantastic, and stainless steel means it will stay that way. The fret ends were filed and beveled nicely and the neck binding is doing it's job. They aren't boutique shop hemispherical fret ends, but they're very nicely done. Nice and even, well crowned and polished, no sharp spots anywhere. I checked every fret between every string with a fret rocker. There are a couple of frets and a few spots on some frets where I can get it to 'rock' slightly, but it's almost imperceptible. Not enough to noticeably affect action, not really worth spot leveling. This is about as good as it gets on any mass produced guitar made anywhere at any price. Action out of the factory was higher than necessary as expected, but after putting on some slightly heavier strings and adding some relief I was able to drop the action down to ~2/64th of an inch or 0.75mm on both the 1st and 7th strings at the 12th fret. That's absurdly low for a mass produced guitar. I can make some buzz if I try, but not even enough to hear through an amp, and not at all when I'm playing normally. The rest? Locking tuners, fluence moderns, stainless frets; you already know what these are. They all work as expected. Bends are very smooth. The satin neck feels great. Palm muting is extremely easy and comfortable thanks to the flat, angled bridge. Tone is great, plays great. Fantastic for the priceguitaranon
Overall: At first glance this was a great guitar. Love flame tops, and the neck woods are great. But I think the combo of tone woods was a bit too much. There is NO, ZERO, low end to this guitar. I say that with a caveat of comparing it to other guitars. It could just be the particular one I have, but there is lack of warmth in it. Mids are present, and the Fishmans clear up and tighten them, but again no lows. I have to crank the resonance control on my Invective head to get any sorta bump, and doing fast alternate picking on the low string just sounds like scraping the pick on the strings. "Oh it's just your technique dude". If I'm saying that, clearly I've looked into it. So again maybe just the one I have, but I couldn't gel with it.
The build quality on this instrument is flawless, it's a professional instrument through and through with hardware to match. The silky smooth satin neck finish feels wonderful under you thumb and this neck is rather Ibanez-like, very thin, wide, with a flat radius, and not typical of other Schecters. This guitar came set up very well, something I usually don't expect. It took me no time to get used to multiscale and immediately I realized how tight the lower strings felt and sounded; a problem I've had with 7 strings in the past is how different the B string sounds as compared to the others and how "choked" it sounds as play notes on it past the 5th fret. Not an issue at all on this instrument! I purchased this guitar along with the Jackson Concept Series Soloist SLAT7 HT in order to compare them and choose which one I preferred. They have very similar specs with the main differences being that the Jackson has a compound radius neck, smaller frets (I actually prefer the frets on the Schecter but it doesn't matter all that much), no individual voice push/pull just one for both pickups, a slightly narrower fretboard and slightly thicker neck, and a slightly smaller body. In the end I chose the Jackson primarily because of the smaller body and narrower fretboard. Coming from V shaped guitars I couldn't get used to the Schecter's body interfering with my forearm as I picked, whereas the Jackson's smaller footprint wasn't so much of an issue. If it weren't for this I would have gone with the Schecter as I think it's more aesthetically pleasing and looks a bit more high end; I'm not particularly fond of the way the finish on the jackson looks. As a Schecter user since 2002, I've been able to see their products improve from year to year. With this Hybrid Hellraiser, the build of this guitar is borderline flawless. A great combination of the SLS body style but the audio girth of their Hellraiser models. For a 7 string, it is about as light and fast as possible. Even though it's meant to handle the heaviest of metal, the neck is smooth enough to deal with a variety of styles. The stock locking tuners are solid as is my favorite EMG combination the 66/57 which provides all the goods. Headroom but gain, bite but warmth. To top it off, the looks of the guitar is as classy as possible. From whatever light is shining on it, the trans black is either a slight green, or a dark grey. So the personality of the guitar varies as much as what you choose to play on it. I've yet to own a bad Schecter. And this is the best one yet. It leaves all LTD's and Ibanez's in this price range in the dust.Druzovich
You do not have to spend $5,000 to achieve big boy vibe. The features on this guitar well exceed the price. I am pretty blown away with the impression it’s made and I just got it. After a good set up this guitar will gladly catch anything you thrown at it. You will definitely feel like a rock star with a Blackjack in your hands. The tone capability seems to be endless, I can’t really find an end to them. If you buy one of these, I promise you will be very happy that you did. Guitar dealers should be a little intimidated by this one because once you’ve got this one, you’re guitar buying fever will be quenched for quite awhile.Kevin
Overall: Ok lets start of with , I own PRS, Gibson, Fender, Epiphone… Never crossed my mind to ever try a Schecter . But i was interested in the Sustainiac pickup, so i took a chance and bought this model because i did not want the active EMG pick up , wanted active . Now this guitar is not cheap as you can see. So here it is open the box amazed at what i saw, stunning guitar, Came set up perfect slight tuning adjustment that was it , the intonation was right on..Lets talk neck ..thin 'C' with a 12”-16” Compound Radius ..Are you kidding ? Wow. Its probably the best i ever played compound radius along with a thin 'c' neck is like surf & turf…..Ebony fretboard ..super smooth tight grain , body and neck finish is flawless binding is perfect ,the pickups are real nice i am loving sustain and its real nice how they made it very adjustable . Only have a few days and i cannot put it down .sounds awesome , i play blues mostly and some rock and Santana, the sound is very clear and clean, i play through a Marshall dsl all tube, fender tube, and a Vox …On boost or other distortion it real kicks. .A…. I am very happy and would recommend this guitar to anyone regardless of the type of music you play , seems to cover a lot.. also its pretty light i would say around 7lb few oz's…it also has a set neck not a bolt on… Very impressed with this, only regret is i never bought one earlier..John

This guitar looks brilliant. The satin blue finish is exceptionally svelte. It's a decent guitar from a playing standpoint, but is more suited for the intermediate player getting their first upgrade to a more pro-like guitar. Particular people (like myself) will be disheartened by its poor quality binding that has obvious flaws where it meets the guitar body below the top wood. This wouldn't bother me half as much if the flaws were in places I couldn't see while playing, or if there were less of them. This flaw continues throughout the whole guitar – neck, headstock, and body. Mine was supposed to be a brand new guitar, but came pre-blemished – or pre-played. It has what appears to be pick scrapes on the body below the pickups (where this type of damage is usually found). There is also a mystery substance located behind the bridge in tiny little spots. (Consistent with a sneeze spray). Above the pickups, in approximately the same place your picking hand rests, there is a wide blemish that looks like it happened post-factory. The sound is what you'd expect, the active pickups do sterilize the tone as usual. I recommend upgrading to passive high-output humbuckers for a much warmer tone. The neck feels like a thinner Les Paul type neck. Plenty of resonance and sustain with the string-thru bridge and set-neck assembly. The neck is smooth, but not fast. This guitar's tone control may as well have been left off. Slight roll backs do nothing. And even when you go full sweep, the tone only slightly changes. I pull this guitar out of tune constantly as big wide bends are a part of my style. Locking tuners would be a HUGE upgrade, and will be one of my first mods, after the passive pups, and a coil-tap. It really is a beautiful instrument. But I feel a bit ripped off for paying "new" prices for "used" equipment.Dennis H.
Had a lot of fun playing the C-1. It's a great guitar for Metal n Heavy Rock. If your on a budget this is a no brainer. The guitar has a really nice neck that isn't to fat and feels good in my hands but is not a shredder neck either/ Kinda in the middle/ The EMG's deliver bone crushing lows with a smooth bluesy type high end. Normally not a "Schecter Guy" but was one over by the pure versatility of the instrument. This guitar is also is great for down-tuning so Nails Master of Reality Sabbath n Sleep tones but can also of course due heavier music like Sepultura/ Mayhem etc. The interesting thing is that it sounds great clean – really on the neck pickup n with the right Amp like an Orange Rockerverb MkIII will get you a nice CREAM tone thou is better running thru an ENGL or REVV type amp but either way it's a solid guitar. Only down sides are the EMG"S are "muddy" at times and the tuners are low end, But if your looking for something under a grand and play Metal this Guitar won't let you down- Rawk It!TONY
Songs that were difficult for me on cheaper guitars play great on this. Love the action and responsiveness. Your fingers can dance across the fretboard effortlessly. The active EMG 85/81 pickups pair well with the mahogany body so far. Any weird tones were due to me playing around and experimenting with my Katana amp settings rather than the guitar. It came new and ready to play with minor tuning-the intonation, truss, etc were all dialed in. The finish is beautiful and smooth, the frets were in perfect shape as well.JS

This guitar plays and sounds great. I was looking for a guitar for a while, and played a ton of different brand and different price range guitars for a few months, and I kept coming back to this one. This guitar plays as good if not better as many guitars priced much higher that I played. I am very happy with the purchase. There are a couple very minor blems in the binding, but something you wouldnt notice if you didnt look very close. I think the EMG pickups sound great not only with high gain, but also with clean tones. The neck pickup (85) has a great chimey sound with cleans in particular. All and all very happy with the guitar.Scott

I just got one of these for ~$200 off for being 'open box'. I think someone returned it due to some very minor cosmetic QC issues. The tone knob was a little high, the fretboard was bone dry and looked like they dripped some oil on it but forgot to rub it in, and the finish was a little rough in a couple spots where it meets the binding. So I dropped the knob down, oiled the fretboard, and buffed out the rough edges. Took about 30 minutes. Not even worth taking a star off in my opinion. Now for the thing that matters most, what you're really paying for here: the fretwork. It's fantastic, and stainless steel means it will stay that way. The fret ends were filed and beveled nicely and the neck binding is doing it's job. They aren't boutique shop hemispherical fret ends, but they're very nicely done. Nice and even, well crowned and polished, no sharp spots anywhere. I checked every fret between every string with a fret rocker. There are a couple of frets and a few spots on some frets where I can get it to 'rock' slightly, but it's almost imperceptible. Not enough to noticeably affect action, not really worth spot leveling. This is about as good as it gets on any mass produced guitar made anywhere at any price. Action out of the factory was higher than necessary as expected, but after putting on some slightly heavier strings and adding some relief I was able to drop the action down to ~2/64th of an inch or 0.75mm on both the 1st and 7th strings at the 12th fret. That's absurdly low for a mass produced guitar. I can make some buzz if I try, but not even enough to hear through an amp, and not at all when I'm playing normally. The rest? Locking tuners, fluence moderns, stainless frets; you already know what these are. They all work as expected. Bends are very smooth. The satin neck feels great. Palm muting is extremely easy and comfortable thanks to the flat, angled bridge. Tone is great, plays great. Fantastic for the priceguitaranon
Overall: At first glance this was a great guitar. Love flame tops, and the neck woods are great. But I think the combo of tone woods was a bit too much. There is NO, ZERO, low end to this guitar. I say that with a caveat of comparing it to other guitars. It could just be the particular one I have, but there is lack of warmth in it. Mids are present, and the Fishmans clear up and tighten them, but again no lows. I have to crank the resonance control on my Invective head to get any sorta bump, and doing fast alternate picking on the low string just sounds like scraping the pick on the strings. "Oh it's just your technique dude". If I'm saying that, clearly I've looked into it. So again maybe just the one I have, but I couldn't gel with it.
Thanks to AJ Becarra for the top notch service and hospitality. This is top quality folks!!! I received my Schecter C-1 FR S Evil Twin and was blown away with the quality of Schecter guitars. The slim but long scale neck makes this guitar so easy to play and reach the upper octaves. The sustainiac pickup will scream at very faint volume. Freaking nice!!! I had no idea what I was missing out on. This is now my main guitar out of 44 customs. You can do so much with this guitar. Gotta getcha' one!!!

Overall: Picked this up from zZounds, recently…and I am totally thrilled and impressed. I am a reformed PRS fanboy…and now believe Schecter matches PRS in every category, and surpasses PRS in value for the money spent.My Toxic Venom C-1 Silver Mountain guitar exhibits: Exceptional build quality. I've had this guitar for roughly 6 months, and I am absolutely blown away by it The locking but hold your strings in tune, for what feels like forever. And if they get out of tune, just use the bridge tuners. I am very pleased with the tone that both the bridge and neck pickups produce, I've never used an active pickup before. But this being my first, I am impressed. The 26.5" scale length is nice, it allows for some lower tunings while keeping the rich and dark tone. With the oem strings, I don't recommend tuning any lower than drop G, I've been experimenting in GCGCFAD, and I've ordered a little heavier strings (2-4 gauges thicker). It is pretty expensive, but the craftsmanship is extraordinary. If you're looking for a beautiful 7-string, with a floyd rose, then this is for youSmartAlec
Playable out of the box…but a slight neck tweaking, raising a few of the saddles, intonating the low E, and lowering the pickups made it VERY nice/playable. The neck it slightly thicker than my "thin" C Apocalypse neck…probably the paint. Out of the box it was OK but had a few slight buzzes and sounded "busy"…too much distortion going on…no definition, no individual note clarity with chords. Now…it's a beauty. Good sustain on all strings…all frets. It sounds "clearer" even when heavily distorted. It's worth the price. I have 3 Schecters now…I bought a Reaper for my lady.Joe Rocker

As a Schecter user since 2002, I've been able to see their products improve from year to year. With this Hybrid Hellraiser, the build of this guitar is borderline flawless. A great combination of the SLS body style but the audio girth of their Hellraiser models. For a 7 string, it is about as light and fast as possible. Even though it's meant to handle the heaviest of metal, the neck is smooth enough to deal with a variety of styles. The stock locking tuners are solid as is my favorite EMG combination the 66/57 which provides all the goods. Headroom but gain, bite but warmth. To top it off, the looks of the guitar is as classy as possible. From whatever light is shining on it, the trans black is either a slight green, or a dark grey. So the personality of the guitar varies as much as what you choose to play on it. I've yet to own a bad Schecter. And this is the best one yet. It leaves all LTD's and Ibanez's in this price range in the dust.Druzovich
You do not have to spend $5,000 to achieve big boy vibe. The features on this guitar well exceed the price. I am pretty blown away with the impression it’s made and I just got it. After a good set up this guitar will gladly catch anything you thrown at it. You will definitely feel like a rock star with a Blackjack in your hands. The tone capability seems to be endless, I can’t really find an end to them. If you buy one of these, I promise you will be very happy that you did. Guitar dealers should be a little intimidated by this one because once you’ve got this one, you’re guitar buying fever will be quenched for quite awhile.Kevin

But i was interested in the Sustainiac pickup, so i took a chance and bought this model because i did not want the active EMG pick up , wanted active . Now this guitar is not cheap as you can see. So here it is open the box amazed at what i saw, stunning guitar, Came set up perfect slight tuning adjustment that was it , the intonation was right on..Lets talk neck ..thin 'C' with a 12”-16” Compound Radius ..Are you kidding ? Wow. Its probably the best i ever played compound radius along with a thin 'c' neck is like surf & turf…..Ebony fretboard ..super smooth tight grain , body and neck finish is flawless binding is perfect ,the pickups are real nice i am loving sustain and its real nice how they made it very adjustable . Only have a few days and i cannot put it down .sounds awesome , i play blues mostly and some rock and Santana, the sound is very clear and clean, i play through a Marshall dsl all tube, fender tube, and a Vox …On boost or other distortion it real kicks. .A…. I am very happy and would recommend this guitar to anyone regardless of the type of music you play , seems to cover a lot.. also its pretty light i would say around 7lb few oz's…it also has a set neck not a bolt on… Very impressed with this, only regret is i never bought one earlier..John

Overall: Wow. Just wow. When I heard about this guitar as it first released, I was excited because I'm pretty loyal to Schecter, already having a few of their Hellraiser 7 strings in my collection. Availability on it was limited to completely zero, though, but eventually, one popped up here and I jumped on it. Glad I did. It is absolutely amazing. Plays like a dream right out of the box, looks and sounds incredible. Schecter sets the bar SUPER high, as always. Cost wise, this thing is on part with instruments at least triple it's price tag. As a metal/jazz/neo-classical guy looking to move into more acoustic spaces, this is perfect. An absolute dream.
I recently took delivery of an open box "condition level 2" Schecter Orleans Stage Acoustic/electric guitar from MF. I can't find a ding, a nick or a scratch anywhere on it. The only negative I can find are a few rust spots on the strings. Even the action if set very good. I cannot imagine what the person who returned this guitar was looking for that they had to return this one? In my time I've owned and played a Martin D18, Taylor Grand Pacific, Larrivee L-03 and over a half dozen other of various brands and prices. This mid price half-a-grand guitar hangs with and in some cases surpasses the big dogs from the big names! The vampyre red is a very beautiful, deep red. And it great flame on the maple back. Size is GA and very comfortable. Upper fret access is good too. The guitar sounds great with good projection acoustically, and is even better plugged into a Yamaha TRC desk-top amp. I was concerned with the maple back & sides making it too bright, but the tones are really just perfect. Nice lows, mids & trebles across the spectrum. And the best part is the neck. I don't have big, meaty hands and with this one some of the chords I've struggled with and also some barre chords come easy! EASY! I have a Schecter electric and it's a keeper…I just didn't even know Schecter built acoustics but I do now and can't wait to try the Orleans Studio w/ the cedar top or maybe the 7 & 12 string Stage models. Bottom line, I can't see how anyone would not be fully impressed with this fine instrument.AK-J
For the price this guitar sounds amazing. The neck and action come perfect right out of the box. Its super comfortable to play. It looks great too. At the price this guitar is amazing! I recommend some DR Veritas strings. The one down side although super minor is the strap button on the button is also the input jack, my first acoustic electric idk if this is standard. But it makes putting a strap lock on super hard and annoying. Schecter is known for their amazing electric guitars but i can assure this acoustic is well worth the money and an amazing instrument.Matt C.

As a Schecter user since 2002, I've been able to see their products improve from year to year. With this Hybrid Hellraiser, the build of this guitar is borderline flawless. A great combination of the SLS body style but the audio girth of their Hellraiser models. For a 7 string, it is about as light and fast as possible. Even though it's meant to handle the heaviest of metal, the neck is smooth enough to deal with a variety of styles. The stock locking tuners are solid as is my favorite EMG combination the 66/57 which provides all the goods. Headroom but gain, bite but warmth. To top it off, the looks of the guitar is as classy as possible. From whatever light is shining on it, the trans black is either a slight green, or a dark grey. So the personality of the guitar varies as much as what you choose to play on it. I've yet to own a bad Schecter. And this is the best one yet. It leaves all LTD's and Ibanez's in this price range in the dust.Druzovich
You do not have to spend $5,000 to achieve big boy vibe. The features on this guitar well exceed the price. I am pretty blown away with the impression it’s made and I just got it. After a good set up this guitar will gladly catch anything you thrown at it. You will definitely feel like a rock star with a Blackjack in your hands. The tone capability seems to be endless, I can’t really find an end to them. If you buy one of these, I promise you will be very happy that you did. Guitar dealers should be a little intimidated by this one because once you’ve got this one, you’re guitar buying fever will be quenched for quite awhile.Kevin
Overall: Ok lets start of with , I own PRS, Gibson, Fender, Epiphone… Never crossed my mind to ever try a Schecter . But i was interested in the Sustainiac pickup, so i took a chance and bought this model because i did not want the active EMG pick up , wanted active . Now this guitar is not cheap as you can see. So here it is open the box amazed at what i saw, stunning guitar, Came set up perfect slight tuning adjustment that was it , the intonation was right on..Lets talk neck ..thin 'C' with a 12”-16” Compound Radius ..Are you kidding ? Wow. Its probably the best i ever played compound radius along with a thin 'c' neck is like surf & turf…..Ebony fretboard ..super smooth tight grain , body and neck finish is flawless binding is perfect ,the pickups are real nice i am loving sustain and its real nice how they made it very adjustable . Only have a few days and i cannot put it down .sounds awesome , i play blues mostly and some rock and Santana, the sound is very clear and clean, i play through a Marshall dsl all tube, fender tube, and a Vox …On boost or other distortion it real kicks. .A…. I am very happy and would recommend this guitar to anyone regardless of the type of music you play , seems to cover a lot.. also its pretty light i would say around 7lb few oz's…it also has a set neck not a bolt on… Very impressed with this, only regret is i never bought one earlier..John

Nice overall guitar no issues- came out of the box well setup although I still have all my guitars checked. Good neck feel and PUPs sound very good. PUPs not as high output as I like but can be used just as they are depending. They are hot enough for most of the players I know. My only complaint is I feel the body should be clear coated not stained. A stained body guitar should cost less in my opinion. I didn't return it over this because I like the guitar- which should tell you something.Doc Holiday
The on-paper specs are perfect for anyone that wants a "more modern" Gibson. You get the 24.75 scale, HH, Tune-o-matic bridge, and vintage look of a Gibson/Ibanez Destoyer but upgraded with more modern features – the shredding neck, graphite nut, and the straight in-line headstock (for better tuning stability than more cattywampus tuning key configurations… Gibson/Epi…); and all for what amounts to about half of a similarly-spec'd lower-end Gibson. Made in South Korea, which is a big plus in my book: I've had nothing but great experiences with SK guitars, and this is no exception. I bought with the intention of swapping the pickups and tuners out, but the pickups were quite nice out of the box: much clearer than I expect for guitars in this price range. I threw in a Gibson PAF bridge and a really hot Seymour Duncan SH-6 neck, and I can't put the guitar down. So many great tones to explore through, and lots of dynamics with the on-board split— that's right!— I forgot to mention— the guitar also comes with a coil split. The one piece of hardware you may want to replace is the toggle switch (a bit wobbly), which is pretty easy and cheap to replace- definitely not a dealbreaker imo. If your looking for a cool-looking, inspirational guitar that pulls you through a portal to the 70's, but won't cost you an arm and a leg, then absolutely check this one out.Hoverround
This is my 6th Schecter so I am very familiar with the brand. I wanted to add an explorer style guitar to the collection, I saw Schecter offered the E-1 an it was a done deal. The tiger stripes in the maple top are very defined and deep, almost 3D. Mine has the same burst on the back and neck revealing a beautiful piece of mahogany. The rosewood on the fingerboard is a very dark deep color, frets are finished very smooth with no fret buzz even with low action. The Schecter Alnico pick ups sound spectacular from a full bodied clean tone to a ballsy chomp and squawk in drive mode. The inlays look super, nice finishing touch.
