The body and neck were acceptable though they did require some expected work. The hardware furnished was of extremely poor quality, for example when I installed the tuners and tried to install the strings three of the tuners would not work forcing me to purchase new tuners to proceed with the project. After I tried to remove the strings after the tuners wouldn't function, three of the strings were stuck in the Tremolo Bridge. The entire project was plagued with issues such as this and I would not recommend this to anyone.trurut_xxsszx

What a brilliant guitar and superb value package! I have owned ‘real’ Gibsons over the years and bought this outfit as a birthday gift for my granddaughter who is learning to play. She has had a fender acoustic for a couple of years and now wants her own electric guitar. I chose this outfit as having previously owned one in the past I like Epiphone guitars. Before giving it to her I thought it best to check it over and set it up but there was nothing to do really, after tuning this guitar was perfectly playable right out the box! The feel, balance and weight is very like my Gibson and the sound is superb. The amp is excellent and packs enough punch to put a smile on your face too. She’s delighted with the built in tuner as well as the other essentials included in the outfit. What’s not to like? I can’t find a better value package!W O.
My original review still stands, but I made cosmetic-only upgrades for less than an average couple's meal at a casual restaurant that makes this look much, much more expensive. No tuner, pickup or pot swaps. Replaced black plastic parts with cream, added cream pickguard, replaced chrome tuner knobs with Klausen-style ivory-look knobs. Installed chrome pickup covers. Replaced speed knobs with gold top-hats.Easily done to make this look like a proper Les Paul. I'm happy with the looks for the little extra money spent.Steve

This one arrived perfectly set up: low action, no buzzing, no sharp fret edges, easy to play – amazing for a guitar in this price range. Although not great, the pickups even sounded acceptable. It's heavy, which to me means good, though not as heavy as my Gibson. It's OK-looking, but needed something to enhance it – a pickguard. I added one and it looks much better – more expensive. Instead of cutting off part of the guard to accommodate the knob as I've seen some others do, I drilled a hole big enough for the nut on the body underneath the knob to fit through the guard (see photos). Since the guard isn't much thicker than the nut, it allowed the guard to fit flush with the body and the knob to turn without any restriction of motion, and the pickguard is not butchered. It's a very clean look – like it came that way – not modified. So, I am pleased with this instrument, and would recommend it to anyone for any purpose: especially beginners to play or someone like me who just collects cheap guitars to hang on the wall of their studiio.Steve

Purchased this guitar pack as a gift for my younger sister who is interested in having a guitar just to cool around on. This is an amazing starter kit for anyone who is starting to play an Electric Guitar! One thing I really like about this starting kit is that not only it is affordable, perfect for college students, but it also has everything that you need to start learning how to play an electric guitar. I specifically wanted to start my guitar journey on an Electric Les Paul, so this kit worked out specifically well. The quality of the accessories is also pretty good. The only complain I had was towards the tuner— it doesn’t seem to work correctly; however, that could be due to my noob skills. Anyway, there are always online apps that you can use to tune. We now have 3 Sawtooth guitars. We are extremely pleased with all of them. We have an acoustic, electric, and now this beginner's electric guitar pack. Our youngest son won't put this guitar down. The black is a cool see through gloss. You can see the wood grain through the gloss finish. The guitar is of good quality. Much better than I thought it would be.The amp is portable, and can be used for headphones. Take note, that this is an amp that takes batteries (9 volt), or you can get an adapter for it. I currently own two acoustics as well as a Squier Stratocaster. However, this Les Paul is definitely my favorite. There is no whammy bar, but that can easily be solved by bending strings instead. Understandably, the Les Paul also only has three options on the pick up switch as opposed to most guitars where there are five, but it makes up for it in other ways. The fretboard and strings themselves are super high quality and allow for easy play. The amp's distortion is one of the best I've ever used. Overall, one of the best guitars at this value, and I would recommend it to both beginners and more advanced players, especially due to the fact you receive a bag, amp, tuner and chord along with it.Cailin

I'm now the proud owner of a beautiful Les Paul. It sounds great and plays fantastic. Watch plenty of YT tutorials before starting. If you take your time and have a lot of patience for each step, this will turn into a great guitar. The instructions provided are a joke but there are plenty of resources available online to walk you through the process. A drill press is probably a requirement to get the bridge holes straight. Beyond that, you will need a soldering iron, a long straight edge ruler, and a lot of sand paper. I replaced the pickups for $30. The tuners are terrible. I'd recommend spending another $15 or so on replacing those as well. Everything else ranges from good enough to great. I bought another kit as soon as I finished with the first. I definitely recommend buying this yourself.jason
This is the first diy kit by Muslady that I’ve built, but my sixth overall. Out of all of them that I’vs built to this point, this one has been my favorite! I may decide to upgrade the pups and tuners at some point, but they are very workable! No wiring diagram, but those are everywhere. My biggest gripe, really, was the knobs. Very cheap plastic jobs…like really bad cheap. Those aren’t expensive to replace, though. There are a few rough spots in the binding, but that, to me, is just more character. I know I’ll be getting more kits drom this company!Rick
This kit didn't take a lot of shaping. Mostly just sanding. The neck was a nice fit to the body. I installed a Floyd Rose tremolo so that took some extra work but no real problems. The finished guitar is easy to play, fits very well with my style of playing. Frets needed some polishing but that's pretty normal for a kit. I used 2 Fleor humbucker pickups and a Carvin single coil in the middle position so I used a different pickguard and 500k pots with a 47 cap. Love the kit so much I ordered another onetimdobro54
