The software version that came with our purchase was v1.0. When you insert the disk, the game console checks to see if there's a new version. We played v1.0 while v2.03 downloaded in the background. The game is VERY jumpy and pauses often which made it impossible to play – very annoying! We thought maybe the update download was causing troubles but we had troubles even after the download was complete. The new version 2.03 won't even start!!! I've opened two support tickets with the game manufacturer (not Playstation) and they give me the "reboot and it will work" – not the case. I've updated firmware to the instruments and all kinds of steps to resolve. At this point the manufacturer won't even respond. Merry Christmas kids – your parents thought the product would work but we'll be returning it to Target instead.Milton Mike

I was so happy to actually find this bundle. If you can find this during the pandemic for a good price do not hesitate, but it immediately. This has been so much fun for my family and friends. The guitar is my personal favorite but no matter what role you take on, you are 100% going to have a blast. They also have an amazing sound track with a lot more to offer via DLC.delorein.h

Rockband 4 is the definitive experience on PS4. Guitar Hero Live sucks on so many levels. This however keeps the basic formula fresh! With a better wireless guitar controller (which took me a while to get used to but now I love it!) and updated graphics and effects, Rockband remains true to what made these games so great (unlike GH Live, seriously that game sucks). HOWEVER your enjoyment of all these types of games always comes down to lag compensation, if you haven't got your TV set up just right you're gonna have a bad time. It took me weeks to get mine set up just right, but once I did I was shredding through songs on expert like I was born to it! BE WARNED this is very much a DLC song. The on disc track list is the weakest of any Rock Band/ Guitar Hero game for a long time. I literally only bought this for that one 'Mumford and Sons' and 'The Killers' song :p But after sinking an embarrassing amount of money into downloadable tracks, I now have over 300 songs in my library and it's GREAT! I play this ALL THE TIME! Thankfully, Harmonix have had the best post-game launch support I've seen in ages, with regular game updates that actually improve performance and fix little bugs, and by far the best part is that there has been a CONSTANT stream of new DLC almost every week, with not just old favourites, but a tonne of modern songs that a popular right now! I love checking each week and seeing a song I love hearing on the radio being brought to Rockband 4! Another major downside is that although your old guitar and drum controllers will work with this game, you cannot sign in to an PSN account with them, so your scores will never be saved AND it causes alot of performance issues in band play. I HOPE it's not just a problem with the game like in the previous titles where it works fine when there's only one player, but as soon as you get two people playing it lags and makes you miss notes that you hit. If this is still a problem even if you have all modern controllers then THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! I SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED WHEN I'M GOING 100% ON A SONG AND JUST BECAUSE MY FRIEND ISN'T DOING SO WELL IT SAYS I MISS NOTES. But other than that the game is incredibly fun. This works great. I only wanted a 2nd mic to try out harmonies on RB4 but after testing this mic, I realized my old one wasn't as good as it used to be. The game registers my voice more accuratly it's wonderful.krackawack

The Rock Band 4 mic is very well built, works with all music games, and even works for recording on PC. The sound quality is great for a $20 mic. It also sounds better than my old Rock Band 1 mic.2501michael

I read that you can use the older Rock Band guitar controllers with the PS4. This is only partially true. They will play the songs but don't control the menu system. You really do need the new Guitar controller for the PS4 to get the full benefit of the game. Still got my old PS3 for all the Guitar Hero & Rock Band games I ownokmartin24

Rock band has surpassed itself with its latest version of the Rock Band Stratocaster. No clacky strum bar that ruins play, this time has even improved on previous models, that compared to the racket made by Guitar Hero peripherals is playable without having to use noise cancelling headphones. And because the neck buttons are quite subtle it also looks like a real guitar. OK one that's 3/4 the size. My new fave guitar peripheral.houndofculaine

Absolutely wonderful! It did not come in the red box, it came in like a white flowers box with a little window in it, but it looks great. Has the plastic little sheet covers over stuff and everything dongle inside box. I am EXTREMELY happy. Giving it to my son for Christmas in the box it came it. I got it in three days I think, in any case way sooner than I expected. I can not say enough good about this and I will be adding this store.werdcc

A must have for the Rock Band fan, the keyboard allows you to finally rock with a full band. And, as a bonus, it can teach you to actually play a keyboard as a bonus. The one draw back is that it's not supported by many of the older songs you may have imported from RB1/2, and the keyboard parts for downloadable songs often cost extra. But that's okay, because all the RB3 songs on disk are there, ready for you to plonk along with.Rhys

Bought this battery in July 2019….by The end of September it was unable to hold a charge. I did follow ALL the manufacturers instructions to program the new battery and now I need another battery.sword5ksa

This guitar is a steal for the money. I pulled it out of the box and I saw no blemishes whatsoever. They packaged it well. And the redburst finish is gorgeous. First thing you want to do is change the strings, when I tried tuning the high E string it broke upon the first turn of the knob. I recommend putting on a set of D'Addario EXL120 strings for this electric guitar, I've been using them for 30 years. If you're looking for a nice electric guitar and amp package for your kid.. you can't beat this.John

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son who is 12 and learning to the play the guitar. The amp stopped working after 4 months. I called guitar center and the person I spoke with said that he wasn't surprised because it is not a good product and does not recommend it. He wishes guitar center would stop selling it. He said I got what I paid for. He said I would have to contact the manufacturer about the warranty, but he cannot give me their contact information because they do not have it and I cannot find it online. So, it looks like we will have to purchase a new amp.Sarah, K

So, here's the thing. I ordered this guitar pack because I had received gift cards from my employer. With no Target store near my town, the cards were stacking up so I bought this set. First off, this guitar is gorgeous! (I bought the Wine color). It played beautifully and I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, it arrived damaged. The box was fine, the guitar was damaged in way that QA should have caught somewhere along the lines. I contacted Musician's Friend to see if they would simply send out a replacement guitar and they would have nothing to do with me because I bought it through a third party seller. Then I called Target to see if they could push a replacement from their end. Target support assured me that Musician's Friend would contact me within 48 hours. It's been 3 weeks and counting; still no contact. Obviously this vendor is unwilling to support their product. Shame too as I really fell in love with this guitar the moment I opened the box (except for the damage). Thankfully, Target was willing to reimburse me (back to a gift card) for the return and I went with another supplier. Would I recommend the product? Yes, but only if you can buy it directly from the supplier so they would stand behind it. But without a solid replacement provision, find a different beginner pack.CrashC

Father Christmas got this guitar for my 11yr old son this year and he hasn't put it down! He started teaching himself acoustic guitar a few months ago and has been absolutely fixated. He asked Father Christmas for an electric guitar and this is what turned up Christmas morning. He absolutely loves it. The pickup selection was broken from the start. The price is good for a beginner’s first guitar, however if the pick ups are broken it’s going to create big problems for a new guitarist when finding their way around their guitar for the first time.Henry

Playing too harshly can break the fret buttons and strumbar. But no more. This product works well and for now on be more ware of dropping, thrashing, and harsh-playing this guitar.Videogamereader
