Reviews:
Excelente guitar. I´m very dissapointed about the factory setup. For the price, I was expecting at least a playable factory setup. Instead it was with a really high strings action, pickups height totally out of pattern. And the finish wasn´t flawless. I has a little detail by the end of the scale. Besides that, Tumbstone Hard case is amazing! I was expecting more of the ESP inspections before it left the factory. By the way, the guitar was packed in the original box yet.Rodrigo
Overall: I was thinking about buying an ESP LTD for a while, and when I saw this guitar I was just blown away by how it looked, and the features it has. I'm happy to report that when it arrived at my home( which only took one day, thank you zZounds and fedex) I was even more blown away. The action is perfect out of the box, it's super lite, it plays faster than almost any guitar I've ever played, the Floyd Rose is top notch, and since I've stretched the strings and locked it, I hasn't gone out of tune once, and the sound is just mind blowing. I was a little nervous when I saw the body wood type was alder, being most of my guitars are mahogany, I thought the low end response would be affected. But I'm happy to tell everyone, it sounds like a beast. And of course the emg pickups are always incredible in my opinion. Plus it comes with the coolest case ever. It's got a tombstone motif on it. There's not enough good things I could say about this wonderful guitar. I was wailing sweep arpeggios all day on this bad boy, and every note was clear as a bell, no matter how fast I was playing. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone who's a metal aficionado. You won't be disappointed.Rob
At first glance, the art work is perfect! Thanks, Kirk! I was hesitant on the buy , due to being a 'LTD' ESP until I researched and read the great reviews (Thanks, axe slingers!). Don't let the 'LTD' fool you. This axe is rock solid. First thing I noticed when I picked this up is the great feel of the neck and the weight. If you love the feel of Strat-style bodies, you will love this. The neck is slim, smooth and fast; my first 24-fret axe and I love it! Not one flaw with these frets-no sharp edges (Dry weather can shrink the neck to where the frets may protrude enough to notice so be cautious and stay humid). I inspected the art work and craftsmanship, finding only 1 tiny flaw. At the end of the neck, by the 24th fret, half the neck width is shaved off about a 2 mm angle too much (click on the pic to see). This is fixable if you're good with tools…Second thing I couldn't wait to try is the Floyd Rose-my first one. It's sensitive compared to my SG's Bigsby so it doesn't take much to get a good effect which is good. The locking nut works superbly and the fine tuners are awesome, no problem with palm muting, as well! The tremelo arm can be left loose or tightened down, out of your way….The Sound—I can definitely tell the difference between the neck and bridge pups so I can't imagine having an 81 & a 60! These EMGs sound great having that neck, bridge and combined tone that you expect from humbuckers. Included is an extra tremelo spring and 3 allen wrenches….The Case—This is the first axe used to debut the Tombstone case! As you can see in the pic, it has a fur lining and a snug fit. The large compartment allows plenty of room for the wrenches, spring, picks, cord, etc. No flaws with the outside decor skin, latches, hinges or handle. It also comes with a key. Also, don't forget the Kirk Hammett pick tin set!…Rock on!
2. Peavey – Raptor Custom Black Electric Guitar
Product Details:
Vg used peavey raptor 1 electric guitar the peavey raptor 1 electric guitar features the familiar double-cutaway body with three single coil pickups, one volume control, and two tone controls, along with a 5-way selector switch. the maple neck is capped with a 21-fret rosewood fretboard and comes with sealed chrome tuners. these guitars were variously made in korea, indonesia, and china. this raptor 1 is used in very good condition. like seemingly every black instrument, the body is covered with very fine clearcoat scratches and swirl marks. there are a couple of deeper scratches and scuffs to the guitar, but these are hard to see unless you know exactly where to look. there is some mild fretwear under the b and high e strings on the first three frets. this guitar does not come with a case of any kind, but will be securely double-boxed for shipment.

Reviews:
Nice guitar – beautiful color- nice and light- the light weight makes it a good travel guitar. A real fun guitar to play. It would be a good guitar for a young person ..mtegan
The Peavey Raptor Plus guitars, especially the EXP editions, are very undervalued and underappreciated. Quality components, great necks, wonderful playability. That they can be purchased all day long for less than $200.00…sometimes under a $100.00…is like giving a prospective buyer a license to steal! The neck and body are worth that — not to mention some pretty fair sounding pickups. All in all, the best low-priced guitars on the market!brujazz_7
Two words. Love it! But apparently I need to have more than that. I actually tried this guitar out at a music shop in another state. I was going to go back to them and buy it, but I found it online for the same price minus the gas. I have bee very pleased with it though I haven't gotten to play it as much as I want to because my toddler son also wants to play.brotha777
3. Peavey Hp2 Electric Guitar – Deep Ocean

Product Details:
The peavey hp2 is a handcrafted guitar that mixes classic style with a modern identity. the carved top, offset asymmetrical body is built for balance, making it difficult to put down. spec'd with a maple top over basswood, this guitar is a visual knockout, too. the initial run of 400 instruments features wood with a real provenance? peavey stored it for the last three decades in a safe and secure environment, waiting for the proper time to release it to the world. that time is now. peavey entrusted some of the best luthiers in europe to build the hp2. the neck and fretboard are cut from a single piece of birdseye maple and finished with stress-relieved lamination. an easy-access steel torsion rod is reinforced with graphite bars for enhanced strength, making the hp2 more than ready for the rigors of the road. schaller tuners will keep intonation in check; a 10-degree tilt-back headstock helps prevent string breakage no matter how seriously shred. the hp2 is powered with two custom-wound humbuckers that supply optimal output and tonal response. if game is high gain, a two-step wax-dipping process keeps feedback at bay and ensures ultra-low noise operation. the humbuckers are also mounted directly to the body, eliminating high volume squeal. work tonal magic with the 3-way switchcraft toggle to select pickups in up, center and down configurations. two push/pull pots split eachbucker individually for single-coil sounds. a peavey/floyd rose-licensed double-locking tremolo is the finishing touch, making the hp2 a supremely versatile instrument for the passionate player. it comes with a hardshell case.

Reviews:
Overall: I’ve always been somewhat skeptical of branding based on an owners name. But having held this instrument I can understand why. The HP2 is handcrafted in the Czech Republic, mine using 30-year-old new original stock Birdseye maple. NOS is stamped on the back of the head stock. If you know the story behind this guitar, I think this small detail reveals why this guitar holds Hartley Peavey‘s name. I think he remembered why it was made, I think he remembers working with the original inspiration. You can definitely see it in the detail and quality in this guitar.Into it:Pros:-Stunning finish – Flawless.-The neck is made from a single piece of Birdseye maple with detail to matching the grain of the top and back of the neck.– The double dipped humbucker‘s or completely noiseless. I agree that tone is subjective – but I don’t really have another guitar to compare this to other than the original Wolfgang. -The humbucker‘s can be split – I’ve heard people go either way on liking or hating this feature but the tones are very versatile. Cons: If you don’t have one, that’s a con. I might change the case if I absolutely had to change something, but then again- I think it’s pretty much perfect too.
Overall: I had high expectations for a $2500 guitar that is not made in the USA. My initial impression was WOW! However, I started noticing the following issues as I get to know more about the product:1) The Peavey Floyd Rose is a cheap imitation with very stiff turning screws in the bridge. The bottom ends are not smooth so it roughly rubs against the horizontal saddle screws. A definite flaw compared to a 15-year-old guitar I have with genuine Floyd Rose which I never had such an issue with even today.2) The neck humbucking pickup is mounted at an angle from the body. In short, it's not straight.3) The first two frets from the nut are higher enough to cause string buzz.I took a chance on this without the Peavey guitar-making heritage because it's an EVH design. You're more than likely to get a much cheaper MIM EVH Wolfgang without all these issues. Best European luthiers, what a joke. Check out the story of how Hartley tried to put plywood pieces inside the 5150 amps to which EVH argued and won.It all makes sense to me now. The Peavey HP2 has no soul and inspiration from EVH. It's basically a capitalist-inspired replica of the Wolfgang. Hartley has done the same as he did with the amps when he was working with EVH. It's like a replica watch made in Korea.Joseph
Peavy has figured it out, Finally put the best of modern technology & the best builders . The price my be on higher side but well worth the money. I can only talk positively about this guitar , its the best I've ever owned. Maybe some of the other guitar makers, will take notice put more into one instrument , instead of a hundred different versions of the same guitar. This Peavey is fast becoming my number 1Jim

Great guitar I love it especially the extra cut in to extra reach to the leads great art on it to I added some extra zombies to it so it's cool to try new things like add something extra to the picture but it's a very nice fun guitar to playgullsteve
If your son is looking for a first guitar, I would recommend this one. The sound is good for the price. Of course you get what you pay for as one of the strings was broken due to a poorly constructed bridge. Overall worth it.bigdaddylonglegs
It's got really good sustain (body thru strings), good humbucker pickup, nice graphics, stays in tune after stretching the stings out. Bad: the frets are sharp on the ends, so they hurt your fingers sliding up and down the neck, needs the frets filed down. As long as you don't spend more than $100, this guitar is a good value. But the frets do need filed.holmesfans2011
