The us made cirrus bass rivals basses that cost thousands moreimatthebottomofthepool
These sold for around $750 in the early 90s with a heavy duty off market TKL case. I've owned 2 but couldn't seem to get the action low on either, even with extra light strings. I think that's the reason they fizzled so quickly. Paint looks like it was applied at the auto body shop! IMO, a good buy in the $250-$300 range. The P/J Forum with a bolt on neck actually plays better.dang1511

I play a Peavey bass guitar, and have tried several brands of strings. Have not been real satisfied with sound or longevity for our church praise band. Purchased this set for the first time and after re stringing my 6 string Peavey bass I noticed one of the strings is defective (has a small bubble) on it. I went to Guitar center and tried several bass. All of them are good. This one is my final pick. I like the sound and EQ control. The sound felt whole( I don't know how to describe it). The EQ helps that you want to hide or show off. I just play once for a while. I like this bass.Matt
I play bass in Country band 2 to 3 nights a week, 3 one hour sets. I have been using my Fender Jazz Bass for years. My shoulder is usually sore as heck by the middle of the night. I bought this bass because it is much lighter and now I can play all night without shoulder pain. The ibanez sounds awesome, has great controls with the 3 band eq and is really cool looking especially with the gold hardware, and the thin neck with 1 2" radius fretboard is very nice to play.I am very happy with this bass and the price was great.Mark

Servizio decente e strumento suonabile
Servizio ottimo e basso fantastico !

I no longer play in public or on a regular schedule so I gifted my handbuilt bass to my son. I was intrigued with this offering from Peavey and the price was reasonable. Spent a few minutes adjusting things to my style of play when it arrived and spent the next 2 hours playing old bass lines. The tone is very versatile and the neck has a smooth, non-stick finish which is a delight to play. There was zero hum with the electronics and the finish is stunning. At present, I'm very happy with this purchase. Online time will tell how well it holds up after a few years down the road. I would recommend this bass to anyone that is either entry level or someone who just want to enjoy playing in the privacy of their own home.madmex35
I've been Thumping for over 40 years. I needed a bass to fill in while my regular rigs are in transit to a new location. This bass is nice and tight. I ran it through a complete setup and only had to adjust string height. This is my first Peavey, and I love it! Great tone, nice action. I've got units that cost a lot more and this thing sounds better than some of them!davlen2000

First off, this is a high-quality bass. I love 5-string basses. The look of this bass is unique in a suberb way. If you play around a little, you can get a low thunder-like rumble out of a decent amp. However, the only thing which I don't paticularly care for is the frets. They stick out a bit on the bottom and have sharp edges, so they can tear up your hands if you arn't careful. While the cuts are annoying, they arn't painful. All in all, this is a high quality bass. Some random guy

Reviews:
Excellent quality, overall. Classic Spector ergonomics for maximum comfort. Good weight (under 9 lbs), compared to the older Spector basses which were in the 10 lb. range. Great sounding, very versatile with Aguilar pickups and pre (incorrectly listed as Tonepump, but it's the Aguilar OBP-2), though can still get CLOSE to that aggressive, growly Spector tone. Incorrectly listed with GLOSS finish and Rosewood fingerboard, but it's a matte finish with Ebony fingerboard.Rick B Flat
I have a few basses but this has become my number one. It suits any style and is an absolute beast with the actives on. Great for slap, funk or metal. Arrived beautifully set up and the finish is very striking. An absolute thoroughly impressive all rounder with a touch of class. Used for recording and live, it's a bona-fide winner!Paul F.
Having played Fender for years, and wanting something more modern aggressive tone for metal. I searched for another bass. After trying out several other brands with disappointment, and only having to return them. I took a chance on Spector. I ordered the Euro Lt because of the Bart pick ups and Dark Glass pre amp. Upon receiving it it was setup nice and no flaws. I plugged into my amp and was amazed by the sound, Nice highs, deep lows, but the mids, really punch. The feel of the bass reminded me of my older fenders. String spacing is perfect for the size of the neck. I'm not a big fan of tight string spacing. I love this bass so much I'm going to order a 4 sting in the future. It's that good. I also found myself turning down my amp and backing off the bass, mids and highs, which my Fender needed more of. I still Love the Fenders, but this is just a different animal.Walter K.

This bass is absolutely fantastic for rock and metal, the single pickup design is nice and simple and sounds fantastic, bass is very durable and feels great and the luminlay side dots are a definite plus for playing live, the tone of this bass paired with some good overdrive sits great in a mix, only con would be that it doesn't sound very great when used in different genres but is still useableGash S
Overall: This is serious kick ass bass that is made for metal. Great sound and vibe, even when not plugged in. The combination of tone woods is unbeatable. Top that off with EMG pups and you got a well rounded low end metal machine. If you like EMG then this is a sure hit for you.Sotero
Overall: This is the perfect bass for me. I'm a J-Bass guy from way back but have always preferred a single EMG and the best bridge I could get. Anything more than a volume knob is too much for my taste – so much so that I used a couple of Performance basses from parts for years just because I could set it up the way I wanted. I think EMG read my mind on this. The ONLY thing I don't totally love is the reverse headstock because I just messes with me when tuning, but that's a minor issue. Everything else is perfect.

Reviews:
I played this bass about seven times, and knew I wanted one. The neck has very Fender-like feel to it. The pickups both have three settings, series, split and parallel. In series the sound is loud and powerful, good for heavy rock. In split, the volume is lower, and you will get slight 60 cycle hum with each pickup soloed, but not when they're used together. On parallel, the pickups sound very Fender-ish. The neck pickup alone on parallel has a nice, round and warm P-bass tone. Both pickups on split sound like a 70s Jazz bass. It also has many other tones; you simply have to experiment with the switches. The tuners stay in tune, and it has a good bridge on it. I got the ivory with maple board. It is gorgeous. The fit and finish is extremely good. If you're looking for a bass that has vintage Fender tones, and more, this bass is it. It is worth much more than it sells for. Buy one. You will love it. MikeMike
Sound: I can't think of any way to describe it tonally other than two jazz basses mashed together, with the option to turn one off or turn both on into a series or parallel beast. That's what this bass sounds like tonally, which somehow the double jazz pickup that was in the american series P basses couldn't even seem to perfectly emulate. It's a very impressive sound and the series/single/parallel switch attached to them is where this bass seems almost magical in managing to sound like 3 different basses in one. Going to have to split this section into three to describe it better. Series mode: very much like those double jazz pickups mentioned earlier that are in early 00s american series P basses and certain discontinued warwick models. Single Coil mode: put the pickup selector in the middle and you have a jazz bass plain and simple. That's pretty much the best way to describe this sound. Parallel mode: The final setup provides a very unique sound that lends itself very well to the genre I play. It's a midrange scooped sound that still retains plenty of high and low mid definition and manages to cut very well without sounding muddy like series bass humbuckers can tend to do. The best comparison I can think of for the parallel setup on the BRIDGE pickup is somewhat close to a Warwick Thumb bass with it's very aggressive percussive tone, but instead of a low mid focus it's very high mid heavy. The neck pickup in parallel is it's own sound that I've never heard out of a bass before, and is great for smooth runs and calm basslines. That being said, this bass manages to be the most dynamic bass I've ever played tonally, without a single battery powering it. Very impressive especially considering what you're paying for it. Features: Pickup wiring switching and the unique j-buckers are what makes this bass so special. However, the inability to blend pickups kind of sucks and it could've only been made even better by an active circuit, also with it's own on/off switch but that's something I can do should I ever see the need. Ease of Use: Might not be the best bass if you're after a VERY SPECIFIC sound (ala jazz bass, ibanez lows and highs, warwick low mid growl, musicman midrange bite) and is definitely something that might confuse and scare away people with the 80's-esque switching options, however it makes up for that in how many convincing and unique tones it can produce. Quality: Overall, the instrument is solid. There are two reasons I've taken off stars however: there's a minor cosmetic defect on mine that irks me even though no one has noticed it but me: when the pickguard was mounted, it was actually mounted in such a way that the back side of the pickguard, inbetween the pickups, is lifting up due to the mounting holes being drilled a bit too close to the center of the body. Second one is something more unavoidable due to the combination of a maple fretboard and the instrument being made in indonesia and coming over here to california: sharp fret ends. 40 dollars at a local tech solved it for me within 2 days of owning it, however it's something to consider and I feel it's more inherent of maple fretboards, so the only one that might suffer from this is the Ivory one (which is what I got) Value: In my opinion, best 5 string bass in the sub-1000 range by a mile. Only other contenders for that spot in my mind are the Ibanez BTB options and the Warwick Rockbass Corvette Doublebuck. Manufacturer Support: I did ask about a case and they were very quick to respond with plenty of helpful info on solutions. For those curious, the 5 string variant is ridiculously long (approx 49" from headstock to end of body) so don't expect it to fit in most hard cases. Schecter is yet to make a case so case hunting will be a thing! The Wow Factor: Unreal tone palette and options for this pricerange, extremely hard to beat for the same price. When I first tried this bass I was expecting a 1,000 dollar pricetag. I saw a 649.99 one. Needless to say, I sought it out on zZounds and bought it a few days later LOL. Here's for hoping Schecter continues to use these pickups and puts them in more cutting edge models like the Stiletto, I'd be on the waiting list for one that's for sure. Overall: Surprised to see no one has said much about this bass yet, so here's my takeaway and why I bought one. I'll save my life story for later for the sake of making this a review rather than a story, however I should mention I've never owned let alone played a Schecter bass until now, however I've owned well over a dozen various Ibanez soundgear basses, from the cheapest GSRs to the higher end prestiges.William
I bought this bass on a whim, and I don't think I could be happier. The pickups have a surprising amount of versatility, and the body is surprisingly lightweight. Only downside is a there's JUST a bit too much neck dive. Nothing to make me wish I didn't buy though. I do recording and play live, and this bass sounds spectacular through everything I've plugged it into. 8/10Justin, W

Superb value, love the bass, playabilty It came ready Togo required zero " dealing inoniwaya
16. Peavey Cirrus Bass String 4xl
Reviews:
I play a Peavey bass guitar, and have tried several brands of strings. Have not been real satisfied with sound or longevity for our church praise band. Tried these strings since they are Peavey, hoping they'd be a better tone for my guitar. Thus far…. excellent! If they have life to them, my search is over.Mr. B
Purchased this set for the first time and after re stringing my 6 string Peavey bass I noticed one of the strings is defective (has a small bubble) on it. My guess is it will either break soon or cause bass not to be in tune. Tried calling and chatting with Musicians Friend however so far no responsep bass
