We usually do a gig that last 4 hours easy, but since I developed arthritis in my left hand, I can't bar all night. Thanks to this Glider Capo, I have no problem playing all night. I use acoustic/electric guitar by the way. One important note: do not buy those imitations from China. They're cheap, but they won't work. I really enjoy mine.mavi.guita
I bought this capo because I need to make mid-song key changes while keeping the same chord voicings, and the traditional capo I have just didn't cut it. Chords rang out of tune or buzzed. I ordered this one and couldn't be happier! I don't think I'll ever go back to my old one again.Ronnie A.
A good solid product but takes a fair bit of effort to attach it to the neck as the springs are quite strong for obvious reasons. I found I needed both hands to attach it but left it on the nut after that ready for further use. Also needs some effort to move it smoothly when playing – I found it difficult to change position with my thumb and often use my strumming hand to accomplish the fret position change. Time will tell as I'm an ageing player, perhaps younger players will find it easier and perhaps different neck depths will have and effect – I use electro acoustic guitars mainly! Still easier than a clip on capo!rogereab

For comfort purposes I wanted a capo to effectively shorten the guitar neck. However all capos, to some exent interfere with the left hand movement and positioning. From photos and other reviews the highly rated Paige looked small and thin enough to minimise such inconvenience. I'm glad to say that the Paige passed to B7 test better than other capos I've ever used. It seems expensive for what it is. However, compared to bulkier and better selling trendy capos from America, its not bad at all. For this reason I'd say it is good value. Enjoyable? Well yes….I enjoy not having to think about it and I enjoy not having some huge shiny lump attached to my lovely guitar!af_lockey
When I got my first Paige, I used it on my Alvarez (which has a narrow neck). I absolutely loved it–light weight, stored just above the nut and easily slid quickly into position when I needed it–and no silly looking accessory sticking out of the top of my headstock! It was great for getting just the right tension quickly, which is especially important to me because I capo all over, up to the eighth fret. Unfortunately, this capo is both too narrow and too shallow for most of my other guitars. Too shallow means it won't slide over the nut or up past the first few frets. Too narrow means it scraps the sides of the neck with sharp-cornered, unpadded metal. This is an accessory you would want to try out on the guitar you intend to use it on before purchasing. If it is not too narrow or too shallow for your guitar, then I think you will find it is a great device which will last you a long time. But, if you change guitars, it may no longer serve you.Erik
A capo that adequately works for the octave strings has been elusive. The concept behind raised sections to address that look good, but materials used could be higher quality. (BTW – I would expect that to come at a higher $$ amount, and it would be worth it.) The hinge for the piece that secures the capo in place seems cheap, and and it does not glide on/off easily. I actually lubricated it to see if it would help – not so much. One review I read noted that the bare metal on the top and bottom can actually come in contact with the neck and result in dings to the finish. Valid observation. As also noted by another review, the spacers are difficult to slide on, and the suggestion of helping with a little Finger Ease was a good one. Once in place, the concept works well. Secures everything in place, no intonation problems. So my conclusion is that this is a good concept poorly executed. I'd like to see the same basic design with a bit more attention paid to the quality details. I would not recommend the current design.MikeS

The Paige Capo is just as good and works just as well as the High Dollar Elliott Capos. Construction is basically the same and the appearance is pleasing. Great capo easy to use, fit up and out of way on peg head….tracmilfor0
This is a well-made and very lightweight capo. Fairly easy to use though it does take time to get used to locking the swinging bar into place. I love the fact that you can just release the 'button' to move to your next capo position or to stash it behind the guitar's nut. Tuning stability is very good though not absolutely perfect so you will occasionally re-tune.stevenaleigh

Reviews:
Easy to use, excellent quality control, with the strings pad always bouncing back after even a 24-hour period when you forget to remove it when you put the guitar up. I have 8 guitars, acoustic & electric models and it works perfectly on all, except my 12-string. Kyser makes a 12-string version that is made for a 12er with a little more spring strength. They make a couple of special application capos, the "Short Cut" and the "Drop D" capos. All 3 have the same basic engineered style. (from Kyser's web site): The Short-Cut can easily create a DADGAD-like sound, without re-tuning. Just place the Kyser Short-Cut on the 2nd fret from the top to cover the 5th, 4th, and 3rd strings. To play in a different key, you can use a 2nd capo closer to the headstock than the Kyser Short-Cut. For example, place a capo covering all 6 strings on the 3rd fret and the Kyser Short-Cut on the 5th fret to play in the key of G. (from Kyser's web site): Place the Drop-D on the 2nd fret, and play a triangular-shaped D chord. Normally, you'd only play the high 4 strings, but now you can play all 6. With the Kyser Drop-D in the second fret, you're hearing an E chord – and the low string is an E, too. It sounds like Drop-D tuning! (from Kyser's web site): Now, play a normal G chord. It'll sound just like it always did. If you retune, you change the fingering. With the Drop-D, the fingering stays the same, except if you want to play on the low E string. Play an E minor chord. Because the low string is open, you'll need to fret the low E string on the same fret as the capo, either below or above it. Kyser gives a generous 30 days for a FULL REFUND, if you don't like it for ANY reason, or none.Bob
In over 33 years of playing guitar, I have used capos that cost about $5.00 and some that friends have bought that were around $50.00 and up. I'll stick to my Kyser thank you. Before switching my favorite capo was a Dunlop strap and lock type. Worked great except they were a pain to move. When the Kyser came out I bought one have been using it ever since. Fantastic, no buzz, no problem moving it up and down the neck. It's light doesn't get in the way and when I'm not using it I have it parked on the headstock. I have one for every guitar I own acoustic and electric, in fact when I buy a new guitar I automatically buy one for it. I have not seen any advantage to the $50+ adjustable or what I call "designer" capos, it's all hype if you ask me. For those concerned about damaging guitars I have used it on my Limited edition Martin guitar for over 10 years with no negative effects. Remember, Just because something is more expensive it does not make it better. If you are into bragging rights and label recognition or HAVE to own what XYZ musician uses (he/she probably got theirs for free), then spend the extra money. My experience has been that these overpriced capos are just that overpriced. They perform the exact same function with out any real measurable difference over the Kyser. Buy the Kyser, with the money you save get a tuner, strings, picks even an in expensive strap or stand.

Product Details:
The clik eti (enhanced tone innovation) gives you easy, one-handed adjustment, an advanced quick-release button, and can be stored behind the nut when not in use. plus, the paige clik eti features a patented bar system. in essence the bar acts like a nut requiring little tightening. this greatly reduces the need for retuning when you move the capo. the bar system consists of specialized outserts made of a nut like material individually molded for each string. each outsert has a radius to ensure that the string always positions in the center even after string bending. the outserts for the top 4 (octave pairs) have a step that compensates for the mismatched string diameters. each insert has mobility left to right to line up with the changing string spacing as you move up the neck. underneath the individual pieces lies a rubber cushion that allows for even pressure and adapts to the radius of the fretboard. resulting in buzz free sustain with a more natural, bright sound almos…

Great capo didn't fall off like my other ones. Nice sound and not rattily.Layla G.
Great Capo, a bit more expensive but worth it. holds it's place well and no rattleRANDY
This capo is very difficult to open. You must exert tremendous pressure from the inside of the capo to open it. Once it is installed on your guitar you are relying on putting undue pressure on your guitar's neck to remove this thing. Just don't buy. I only reviewed this item here because the Taylor web site does not allow for comments/reviews of it's products. Musician's Friend is a top notch online store that I will continue to buy from.Mikelk
