I was very pleased with this guitar. it plays and sounds very good… clean and distorted. I have two Gibson SG's and an American made Fender Strat, the old '62 SG is my favorite but I am very well pleased with the Oscar Schmidt (made by Washburn). I would highly recommend this guitar, great playing and sound, great for the money!!!2010palehorse
Top quality guitar. Feels great and stays right in tune. Finish is flawless and beautiful. Loved it so much i bought another for that price. I own an oe30 also. Thats why i tried the oe20. Ive owned a studio les paul and for the money you cant lose with this product!!w-jojoh-iwcg7d
Delivery was super quick and I love that but when I got this guitar the pickguard was loose, fretboard felt very rough when doing bends, and the tuners refused to stay in tune (especially high E string), and the nut was not even glued in! It fell off when I changed the strings. These Chinese manufacturers should be ashamed of themselves. Seriously.greentoasteroven

This guitar was affordable. I shaved off 2mm from the bridge to make it closer to the height I'm used to. It plays easy, it sounds good and it looks great. My Alvarez sounds better only because it is bigger. This is one solid guitar. I will have another one. I replaced the strings with slinky strings(pink pack) I'm loving it now!!david-hilton-photography
I admit I was a little hesitant to purchase online without having the ability to play it first. I have extremely small hands an this fits like a glove. In all honest it has taken be a bit to write this because I was having to much fun with my guitar. The service was fast and efficient. I plan on purchasing more items from this individuals. Reviews:
I bought it for the green color, but luckily it is actually a lighter teal green. This can be a great guitar with some adjustment work. I used it as a mod platform and converted it to HSH style. Full saga outlined in video on my youtube channel called 2bikemike. I named it Oscar. I am very happy I found this deal. PROS: Very beautiful. The tuners are decent and work well. Neck and body finish excellent. Vintage color on neck matches very nicely. Bridge and saddles work well. Came screwed tight so whammy didn't work, but it was adjustable to preference. Bridge pickup had good output measuring approx. 7.5k ohms. Whammy screwed in nicely. CONS: 11 frets needed levelling. Must have been in storage long time. Frets had light corrosion as all budget guitars have. That was corrected as part of recrowning and polishing work. Plastic nut was nice looking and worked ok (but cut to high for proper action hight at 1st fret) since I prefer bone I replaced it. Neck tag said "USA MADE" but every part is Chinese. That said though the build was very nice Middle and neck pickups very low output sounding weak compared to bridge, measuring approx. 5.6k ohms both. I rated ease of use as fair based on out of the box condition. After my work, it is excellent. If you are handy to perform some maintenence on your own guitars, then this is a good deal for you.2bikemike
Guitar is very nice, plays well and all at a reasonable price. I would buy another one of this brand again,no doubt at all. Easy to order and pay for. Arrived just as promised. All in all a nice experience and I am enjoying the guitar very much. Would tell others not to hesitate to try an order themselves. Thanks.Big Mur

Reviews:
I love this Casino. I knew I wanted a P-90, and I really wanted a fully hollow body. I wanted to see if I could replicate a I've been agonizing over the purchase for months, looking for every possible solution, and was almost ready to pull the trigger on the Epi USA version, and after MUCH research, finally decided to go with the regular Epiphone. The construction, from everything I read, is excellent, and I knew that if necessary, I could always switch out the pups. Well, I can't say enough about how good this guitar is! I am extremely fussy on setups (I do setups on my own guitars and for other people) and this thing was ready to play right out of the box! I literally didn't touch a thing except to tune it up. I won't even have to dress the frets. I may touch them up just a bit (again, I'm really fussy) but they feel better than most guitars that cost three times as much. It is really beautiful. I love the vintage sunburst. The finish is flawless. Now for the important part – it plays like a dream. The neck profile is extremely comfortable. I can move up and down the neck as fluidly as on any guitar I own. And the sound! I was amazed at how present it is, even before plugging it in. I see this little sweetheart spending a lot of evenings on the couch with me. Soft enough not to overly bother my wife, but again – very present. Plugged in – well lets just say I won't be replacing these pups. It is exactly the sound I was hoping for. I'm no Grant Green, but I can certainly understand why he loved this guitar. Would I recommend it? Heck yeah! Country? Check. Classic rock? Check. Rockabilly, surf, blues and even jazz? Check, check, check, and check.Jess
This thing is easily worth 4 times the price. The build quality is impeccable. The binding is perfectly flush, the finish is beautiful and evenly applied and the intonation was extremely close out of the box (I only had to move the G string saddle back a bit to set it, all the other strings were perfect). The headstock has a nice molded profile to the sides – this is something I haven't seen on other Epiphone guitars. The PRO p90 pickups are fantastic. I have 11 other electrics from an epi 335 to a Gibson Les Paul Traditional to modded teles and strats and I never could quite find that classic clear tone with a thick rich drive when you dig into it that I've been looking for – this Casino has that sound! Every website/listing likes to talk about the Beatles… that comparison doesn't speak to what this guitar is capable of. This is more in line with Gary Clark Jr., The Black Crowes, Jack White and The Allman Brothers Band sounds. Think rich, bluesy rock. It's much cooler than "the Beatles guitar". Plug this sucker into a Vox and you're in business. The C shape neck is very comfortable- it has a flat back with rounded sides. Plus, with the satin finish your hand moves more freely up and down the neck. It's nice to play unplugged too, it's fully hollow so it plays/sounds like a quieter acoustic unplugged. The knobs/pots are really cool looking and work great with no scratching. They have even adjustments – no quick falls after a certain number like you see with others in this price range. They have a cool old school tab to show where you are on the dial (no pictures show this little detail). All in all – super cool vintage vibe, sweet clean tone with a fun roaring bite on the gain – excellent guitar.
Had the money to buy any guitar in the shop. Liked the looks of the SG, worn ebony with rosewood fingerboard and the Gibson speed knobs. Having only played guitars with 9.5 radius, I found the 14 radius was better for bar chords. The craftsmanship is excellent, can find no flaws the body or neck. The truss rod was out of adjustment, considerable back-bow. I fixed that, and set the action low. The intonation was spot on. Frets were polished with no sharp edges. I plan to upgrade the cheap electronics with new pots. As for the pickups, they sound ok. Since I use a modeling amp, not a big issue for me. The nut is a GraphTech synthetic bone. Nice touch for an inexpensive guitar, since i do not like changing them out…too much risk of damage. I have fender Strat and Tele, but have not put this down since purchasing it. Once I upgrade the electronics, this will be a very solid guitar.Jeff

Reviews:
Having previously purchased a lemon drop second hand I was impressed with the vintage brand. I've previously owned custom shop guitars by Fender and Gibson so have perspective on how "good ones" should sound. The v6 was ordered from Richard as I enjoyed his YouTube videos and liked the thought of the guitar being essentially hand picked and set up prior to delivery. Richards pricing is not the cheapest but it does ensure that the guitar you receive plays as well as it possibly can. The guitar itself arrived in tune, set up to my specifications with a blocked trem and 10 gauge strings. The finish was flawless and the fact vintage spec the correct woods for these guitars (alder and maple) really sold me. It has a full size tremblock, bent steel saddles and sounds like a good strat should. The Wilkinson pickups in the lemon drop where excellent paf approximations and the single coils are no exception. Plus the bridge is wired to the second tone pot which is something I always do as I tend to roll off the treble when soloing. The guitar is also very light and can be played comfortably for hours. Packing was top notch. Double boxed. Comms excellent and I would wholeheartedly recommend purchasing from Richard again. In fact I have Gas for a Eastman Les Paul in 2020😊Matt S.
If you've ever put a guitar together from after market parts, even 2nd hand, its doesn't take long to rack up an expense. For Richard to offer this guitar for £287 with a full setup is quite extraordinarily extraordinary. The QC on this one is exceptional from Vintage and despite thorough inspection I cannot find any flaws at all. It is a very lightweight guitar, slightly neck heavy, so I'd recommend purchasing a good quality leather strap to prevent slippage. The highlight of the VS6 would be the neck which is a wide C profile and very enjoyable to play. The setup from Richard again is exceptional and you really have to applaud the effort invested making these very affordable guitars so playable. On that note, I would also recommend that these are perfect guitars to learn some basic setup skills on; though very well setup I have made small adjustments as can be expected as you break a guitar in. All in all, a great value guitar which Richard and his team have helped punch well above its weight.Jordan T.
I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Richards Guitars. The guitar itself is great value for money. Highly playable and light-weight. Lovely finish, and great to look at, which is saying something, as I've never been into 'road-worn' finish, generally speaking… The instrument feels great in the hand, and it's been played every day since I got it 🙂 The setup on the guitar was spot-on too, so I couldn't be happier. Richard (and team) agreed to have the guitar ready and delivered in a pretty tight time-window too, and it was right on time, which was greatly appreciated. Last but not least, I needed the exact dimensions of the guitar in a pinch. Richard answered the phone and got the measurement for me while I waited. Quality 🙂Tim C.

Reviews:
I sat down tried all of the Ibanez, D'Angelico, Epi, and Gretsch's from $400-1k and walked out with this one. If buying online please read… The frets are not medium jumbo… more like vintage medium, they are thinner and shorter than a typical medium jumbo. Also the neck profile in the hand is a tad thicker than an Epi 335 and also a bit narrower… closer to my LP with a 50's neck… which for my hand was perfect and why I chose this over the Epi's/D'Angelico's. I will say all of the Streamliner Gretsch's in the store played well. You can tell the guitars were set up nicely prior to shipping and came out of the box that way. I was able to grab a new in box from the back of the store and the setup was great. No fretwork needed at all… which is something I RARELY see in the sub 1k price point. Tuners are die-cast nickle but they are smooth as can be and do not feel the need to change. Pickups sound good to me as well. The neck is very Jazzy and soft and the bridge has some bite but in the upper-mids, not ice-picky, and cuts well. Because they are standard humbucker size, replacement options are plenty. In order to make this guitar stay in tune with the Bigsby, you'll need to work that spring in a little and do some work and lubing the saddles and nut. Not a knock, just a warning if this is your first Bigsby bridged guitar. All in all a great playing guitar with a good size and comfortable neck with room to grow/upgrade if you feel the need. I was looking for a semi-hollow with Bigsby preferably to add to the collection, and this fit the bill perfectly. Plenty of that Gretsch vibe and at no point does it look like nor do I feel like I am playing a cheap guitar… Which is what ultimately drove me away from the Ibanez's in this price point.JJ in SC
Great guitar for the money. Bigsby included. The Torino Green is a great colour and at night or in the shade the guitar looks like black on black, with the pick guard standing out. All the trim is immaculate, though the machine heads are not the best and may need changing out for stability of tuning. The setup is pretty damn good straight out the box though I adjusted the string height to lower the action and checked the intonation which is all quite easy with a small screw driver. The playability is great though one needs to go easy on the strings when playing chords so as to not unintentionally bend them out of tune (Typical for a Bigsby setup). But, as I got this guitar more for playing leads and melodies this is not an issue and will facilitate ease of bending. All in all, a great guitar that looks great, feels great and sounds great, at a pretty unbelievable price. Well done Gretsch.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Guitar came set up great for my playing feel. The neck shape feels really comfortable for my hand, with great playability up and down the neck. I typically practice at home on the couch with no amp, and the acoustic sound is great, and quiet enough to not bother my wife. I have been a Strat player for a long time, and wanted a guitar with a different sound for some of the different bands I play with. This guitar does a good job of taking me out of my "comfort" zone. I typically play pretty hard with a heavy pick for solos, and thus can break strings more than I would like. That being said, this is not a good guitar to have a string break on , as changing a string on a gig with this Bigsby is quite a challenge to do quickly . I always have a spare guitar with me for this reason. All in all this is a great affordable guitar!ridinrog

Big, bold and righteous, the g2420t streamliner single cutaway hollow body with bigsby is designed for the modern guitarist who yearns for something beyond the norm. a commanding guitar for powerful players, the g2420t's modern sonics, updated electronics and authentically elegant style create the latest iteration of that great gretsch sound! the secret to the streamliner's sound is a new offering from gretsch-the broad'tron humbucking pickup. specifically designed by the expert engineers at gretsch for the streamliner, this high-output pickup spawns robust lows, pristine highs and a throaty midrange for a unique tone that blends well with other instruments in a band context. this sonic power is harnessed and shaped by the traditional control layout-neck and bridge pickup volume controls, a master tone control, master volume control and three-way pickup switching. a fast-playing 12"-radius rosewood fingerboard with elegant pearloid block inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets sits atop the white-bound nato neck with a thin "u"-shaped profile-ideal for chord work or firing off hot-rodded riffing. add some shimmer and expression to your playing with the bigsby-licensed b60 vibrato tailpiece while the adjusto-matic bridge with secured rosewood base and synthetic bone nut grant amazing tuning stability. all the classic eye-catching style you've come to expect from gretsch is here-vintage-style gold control knobs, f holes, elegant two-ply white and black body binding, slick-looking nickel hardware, arched laminated maple construction and single-ply black pickguard with gretsch logo. nearly impossible to put down once you pick it up and start playing, the g2420t streamliner single cutaway hollow body with bigsby is an astounding take on the classic sound and style you've come to expect from gretsch.

Reviews:
My son bought this guitar for me for Father's Day and I absolutely love it. I had been in the market for a Gretsch and played a number of the Streamliners at my local GS, but this one really did it for me. The set-up from the store was superb, low action, no fret buzz, intonation spot on. The sound both plugged in and acoustically is awesome. I love to just sit on my couch and play it unplugged. I am still adjusting to keeping it in tune with the Bigsby, and I plan on smoothing out the fret ends a bit, but overall I couldn't be happier. I can't get over how fast the neck is! Really a joy to play.Lawrence
Guitar arrived in pristine condition beautiful colour that changes in certain light absolutely stunning. Binding and paint job is top notch on here can't find any blemishes anywhere. Frets are smooth level and rounded at the edges well done. Hardware, tuners and Bigsby all work as they should no tuning issues to complain about even after some Bigsby use. Set up with nice low action no buzz. Plays and sounds great also sounds sweet unplugged nearly as loud as a concert size acoustic. Only complaint is the tort pickguard isn't to my taste, a black or white one would have suited the beautiful candy apple red colour better but this is my opinion only. Absolutely delighted with this guitar. Well done Gretsch. Thanks GAK.Drew
Overall: I have the 2420T in Gunmetal and she is beautiful. I replaced the knobs with chrome G-Arrow knobs and it has a great classic look. Fit and finish excellent. A little buffing compound under the neck/body joint but no biggie. Bigsby is smooth and the hardware is decent enough and holds tune. I wrapped on some D’Addario Chromes and the playability is excellent. The only let down for me is in the pickups. They sound hollow and muddy. I have to really do a great deal of knob twiddling on my guitar and amp to get it to approach what is termed “that great Gretsch sound”. I’m gonna try a lighter round wound set of strings to see if that helps, but the flat wounds have always sounded great on my Filter’tron equipped Gretsches. Overall a nice guitar with pickups that just aren’t as good as they should be.

Reviews:
Overall: Wow. Insane out of the box. My first ESP and I'm a lifer now. Resonates very well. Frets are smooth all around and feels great in your hands. Weight and balance are sweet… solid guitar.. both literally and figuratively! The paint job is classy, sexy, and cool. Paid $999 but got a $3000 guitar ! Very happy (in case that was not obvious)!!
This was my first time buying a guitar this way, fully online. Let me tell you I couldn't be happier. I had to wait a few months for it to come in, but it was so worth it. I had it Plek'd and a bone nut installed. It was shipped in the case (I bought an ESP case) and I couldn't find a flaw anywhere. I've owned (and own) a variety of guitars from stupid-expensive to budget. I cannot believe how nice this guitar is for the price. You want to talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing, this is it. The tobacco with the black hardware is simply gorgeous. The sustain is glorious, and the neck is hyper fast. With the Fishmans a few wrist movements can take you from Di Meola to Dimebag. Needless to say, I'm very happy with this guitar and would certainly not hesitate to buy from Sweetwater again.
Overall: When my LTD EC-1000T CTM Tobacco Sunburst arrived, I immediately checked the country of manufacture. Mine was made in Indonesia. Initially I was bummed by this (I think we all want one from S. Korea) but after getting a feel for this guitar I can honestly say I have no QC issues or complaints with my specific guitar. I can't imagine there's any quality difference between mine and one made in Korea. That is to say, the quality and craftsmanship of this guitar are absolutely top notch!First off, this is a beautiful guitar. The color is dark, darker than most of the pictures show. This is a very good thing indeed, perfectly balancing a traditional design with modern flair and finesse. The flamed mahogany top has a decent amount of shimmer and "3D effect." The matte finish is gorgeous and feels great to handle. The full thickness body is well, thick! I love this chunky body style but if you're playing live a lot it may be too much. This is completely subjective though. Just know, it's thick! On top of that there's 7-ply binding front, back, and headstock…and it just blows me away how great it looks. 7-ply!The black hardware is nice, and complements the overall design and gives it a modern/brutal kinda look. The nut (molded plastic?) has some sharp corners that took me by surprise. They'll need to be filed down to prevent jabbing myself when returning to the first fret abruptly. But the rest of the neck/frets/fingerboard experience is absolutely glorious! Seriously this is my favorite thing about this guitar. It feels like a Les Paul, but the slightly thinner neck on this Eclipse is way more comfortable, but still has that "beefy" Les Paul feel. Hard to explain, but to me this is perfection. I do not experience wrist pain playing this guitar (every Gibson LP I owned gave me wrist pain). The ebony fingerboard and stainless steel frets simply feel wonderful, a complete joy to play this guitar with the added bonus of knowing you won't need a fret job for a very, very, long time (if ever). The Open Core Classic pups are pretty nice too, different than I'm used to, but it's not hard to pull very good and useable tones out of them. The push/pull tone pot switches between Modern and PAF sounds. While I can kind of see that, it's more of a frequency response shift that actually is quite useful. I find it more useful than switching between the neck and bridge pickups. Modern gives me crystal clear definition for distored metal runs, and I can pull the pot for the PAF sound that adds just the right amount of "hair." I haven't messed with the single-coil voice, so I won't comment on it other than it's cool that it's there.Overall this a serious guitar. I purchased this with the intention of keeping it around the home studio and I have no doubt after spending some time with it I will have this guitar for a very long time to come.Eric

Reviews:
Overall: I got the black one. (GL finding a case..$200.) This guitar surprised me acoustically – the bass response is far better than I expected- but ONLY acoustically! I'll probably get a Baggs Lyric for it, like the one I put in my (EPI.) DR-100. The Fishman, like all Fishman mic/pup/preamps, is JUNK – totally useless- cannot reproduce the bottom two bass strings AT ALL. I don't know why guitar makers even bother with them. The guitar of course, will need a serious setup – (cautiously, as aways..get a backup bone saddle ) take the bridge saddle down by even as much as 1/4-3/8"! The nut was fine after that (!.. I know…) YMMV of course… A special string set (like my signature Curt Mangan monel DR-100 set) will also help. I like lighter bass strings (in a GOOD guitar-this one -just- qualifies!), a pretty light set (9.5's); and a plain (unwound) g. Now it plays like an electric and sounds great for its size! My other "parlor" -an old, slotted head Washburn (But I'm dumping this one's too-large fugly rectangular glitter truss cover) And -bottom line- after seeing Jack Elliott's, I always wanted a Rancher!Rodney
Very comfortable and cool looking guitar. Mine arrived looking like a demo, Had spots that looked like someone slobbered their licorice on it. The Protective film pickguard covering was mostly off and barely on. I have guitars that still have the pickguard film all intact, after playing them for quite some time. The shipping box was totally crushed on one whole side and the guitar was not double boxed. It was just sitting in a extra large cardboard box with just sparse rolled up paper to protect it. . No bubblewrap or inside box for protection. Luckily it wasn't damaged cosmetically. Surely not how any guitar I have ever bought has arrived. The sound is very good with the exception of the awful fret buzz. I took it to a luther who said it needs at least a partial fret dressing, possibly more. MF offered me hardly anything towards offsetting that. The Gretsch acoustics are known to have a "12th fret hump," and my White Falcon also had to be fixed. This Penguin has the same issues, I don't think a brand new guitar should need any repairs. Yikes. Been trying for over 3 weeks to get it figured out with MF. I reported the issues to MF and they offered for me to return it, or that they could help pay for the repair of the fretting out. He had to talk to his supervisor about how much they would help with the fret leveling, and it was his suggestion that they could help out on the partial dressing. The second call, he stated that the most they could help with was a fifth of the cost. I said give me a couple days to ponder the situation. Haven't been able to talk in person again. Left a message asking if instead of sending it back to MF, they would just send me a shipping label to Gretsch, to have it repaired properly. No answer back on that. It's no more expensive for them to pay for the shipping to Gretsch, than back to the MF midwest facility. Called 15-20 times and the person handling it has been unavailable.. Talked twice, and then nothing since then. FRUSTRATINGBob
I love my little Penguin. It has a nice balanced sound to it that I have struggled to find for a long time. The Fishman electronics and integrated tuner are wonderful. The fit and finish is spot on. It seems to respond really well to different sets of strings. More so than any guitar I've ever owned (I think I'm on my 12th?). It almost can sound like a different guitar. It shipped ready to play. The set up was perfect for me out of the box. Usually I have to run to my Luthier when I new guitar comes. Very happy with my purchase. I'll have this one for life. What you can't tell from the photos is the binding is a gold glitter. The whole guitar is trimmed in it. You'll either love it or hate it.Mike
