I was pleasantly surprised with this pedal. Killer doubling effect with the top position of the three way switch. Middle position is one of the best chorus Ive heard. Bottom position is killer slap back. Definitely worth the price.johdal-lx28yf

Most of the sounds available from this are useable. It enriches your tone without the swirling usually associated with chorus and flanging. The "Abbey" reverb is so good I turned the spring line on my amp to nil! Downsides? It can sound a bit too "produced" with some settings, and it's so much smaller than it looks in the adverts for it! Had this on want list for awhile. Bought it new when I saw a price break of 17% on MF. Software & plugins misadvertised by IK multimedia. They make it sound like you get all the iOS and OS X plugins and amplitube included with the pedal. Well some you do as freebie hook and bait and others you have to buy. They do give you Amplitube 4 Deluxe which is good, (4)-T-Racks processors, Mic Room, Ableton Live 9 Lite (Mac/PC), Amplitube Acoustic, VocalLive and Mic Room for iOS .I already previously bought Amplitube Max for OS X and most of the iPad amps & stomp effects apps for iOS. Previously using iRig HD as interface into iPad Pro 12.9 1st Gen. This pedal allows you to control amp and stomp effects for live performances and studio using stomp mode and LIVE settings and to scroll between user saved settings and favorites. I am constantly tweaking my user settings. I mount iPad on separate stand with an extension cable not included, so I can control some settings with my fingers. tips and tricks. I like how IK Multimedia approaches tone through modeling Amplifiers very quality sounding industry top of the line manufacturers. Tuner is good. I figured out by accident by placing finger and holding on volume knobs on amps using ASSIGN CONTROL to assign a selected parameter to pedal or external controller. You can save this to your settings and the parameters you select are highlighted in faint yellow color. I was wanting to see a volume pedal and this satisfied my desire. Having to have an iPad or Computer is not cheap to use with this pedal, but top of the line stuff here IMHO. IK Multimedia is an Italian company and product. I would say this falls into the Ferrari category of effects and control pedals.JamnJohnny

I have been playing guitar for a long time. I was certified by the Recording Workshop in Ohio, for studio recording (though I am an amateur). I will admit, I already owned an iPhone 8s, and had already purchased a few of the amp models in the app to use with iRig HD, which I feel is important, because if this product is to be used with iOS, it comes with a very limited set of amps. On PC/Mac it has much wider utility out of the box. However, this product is great. The tones I have been getting are fantastic, I can emulate famous tones I hear on records, pretty much on the fly, the presets are not great, but the recording is, imo, high quality and sound really good. I have not used this on an iPhone 7, and have heard there are issues, but on PC and my iPhone 8s, it has worked great. Because I liked this so much, I splurged and bought a new iPad, and upgraded the software to the MAX version, and I really love, it. I have had the stomp for about a month and a half, and bought the iPad 12 days ago, I will be returning it and getting more storage, because I have already created so much new content from the ease of use, I am worried I'll fill up the smaller capacity at only 32gb. The only real negative I have experienced, has been: if I have the app running on my iOS device, and unplug and the stomp from my device, and then reconnect the stomp, it will not work. I have to stop the app, reconnect the stomp and restart the app. It's annoying but no big deal, as I don't have to unplug it very often in the middle of using it, but enough that I noticed the issue.Nel

First of all, I paid $200 for the floor pedal that controls my amp, and that’s all it does, but this for $300 for me wasn’t a hard choice honestly. The first thing I did was plug my phone into it, then ran a cable to my practice amp, and it sounds great! It was so easy to use since I already have AmpliTube for the iPhone, and I’m looking forward to checking out Ableton 10 lite and the AmpliTube custom shop (both came with it), but I also use some Positive Grid products, like Bias FX and JamUp. I was happily surprised to find out, with a small amount of “googling”, that this can be used with just about anything you’d want to use it with. You just have to slightly mess around with the midi assignments (look it up if you’re scared, it’s super easy) and you can use it as a controller for other amp/music programs and recording software. I think this thing is built like a tank, and since I used the payment plan through AMS, it was a really easy choice for the price.KillBill

The bluetooth connectivity is fantastic, and will stay connected up to 30 yards away from the device you are controlling! It never drops out, and has a companion app that allows you to fully customize the pedal to work with whatever format you are using it with. You want to buy this pedal if you are running Bias Amp, Bias FX, Or Jam Up Pro, as I can control all of those apps, as well as my Amplitube 4 app all thru my IPAD, and it is the greatest sound I have ever been able to attain with my guitars before!!!!Scott

The blueboard is a nice addition to my setup. I play guitar through my iPad a lot and hooking the blueboard to switch to different Amplitube setups is nice and easy. The board is a little on the small side and is plastic but it's built pretty solid. The manual is brief and i had to go online to get more in-depth instructions about some of the advanced features of the board but syncing the bluetooth was easy. just put in the battery and i had it working in 5 minutes.JM3202

One of the foot switches was "sticky", they are not barefoot friendly, only four of them. Software keeps forgetting registration, modeled on mediocre 80s boxes, default settings mediocre, artist " slash" amazing performer but music-wyse mediocre also … Not "performance ready" in any case.deadteacher

I'm a metal guy at heart, so when I finally put the Metal Zone away and started building a grownup pedal board, a Tube Screamer was high on my list. I was particularly interested in this unit because of the size, since my beginner board probably isn't going to be very big. I plugged this little guy into my regular setup and was immediately blown away. If you've played some metal you know the setup: straight into a high gain amp, drive at 0, level at 10, and tone dialed in to taste. It made my Orange Micro Dark Terror, digital Bias FX rig, and even my sad old Marshall solid state roar, but in a much more defined way that never felt flabby or uncontrollable. I would recommend pairing it with a decent noise gate to trim down the hum, but that's just what electric guitars do when you crank the gain, and not a flaw of this pedal in particular. Okay, sure, it can do metal. I've also run this unit through a bunch of other setups and contexts. Through my Orange I definitely got very usable blues and classic rock tones by pulling the gain and volume back on the amp, and setting everything on the pedal around half way. I can even see potentially using it with the drive all the way up as a lead boost or to slightly break up a clean tone. This little thing is a beast for sure, and is pretty much perfect for my uses. It's not a transform your amp kind of effect, it's meant to compliment what your existing equipment already does. It has some specific things it does well, and it *really* nails them. #sweepstakesDan

Stop what you're doing right now. RIGHT NOW, and get this pedal. This tiny little monster sounds incredible and I am kicking myself for not trying any kind of Tube Screamer for my 20+ years of playing guitar. This literally sounds like a tube amp in a box. You can dial in the perfect amount of boost or drive without really impacting your guitar's true tone. If you push it all the way, it's almost in distortion territory, yet it retains warmth and picking dynamics…on the other hand it compresses nicely – like a tube amp. How does it do that? It's magic. I got this mini version because I'm building a mini pedal board, so it fits perfectly. Don't let the size fool you though, because it sounds incredible. The only drawback is that it needs an external power supply. Oh, and as an added bonus, this is made in Japan, and it shows. The switches, knobs, and inputs feel very high-quality. In my opinion, this is incredible bargain.Jamers

I collect Tube Screamers, and decided to get this for the collection. Soundwise, it works as a TS808; great transparent overdrive for stand-alone use but excels at boosting gain on an overdriven amp. Not as harsh or "dark" as a TS9, and a decent price. Definitely a TS to consider if you're trying to save some money; you definitely won't be missing out on the sound of the TS808. Also great if you want to add a Tube Screamer to a board, but need to save space. The only negative I can say is the Level and Tone knobs are difficult to see for settings, but that's true with most mini pedals. It doesn't take a battery, but there again, neither do most mini pedals. Construction is more solid than the Mooer Green Mile, and the TSMini is made in Japan (thought for sure it was Chinese). The price is great on these, but I'd also consider checking out the East River Overdrive by EHX; my current favorite Tube Screamer clone. As far as the Ibanez Tube Screamer line-up, this is seemingly the best value.Dave

Helix is fantastic for all studio musicians. You can construct so many different sounds with it. Since 3.0, the Helix is a complete package as far as guitar processors go: you have all different amps, cabs, effects, acoustic sim, synths, polyphonic transposition, harmonization, oversampling. Lots of in/outs, lots of ways to route it. The workflow is great: you have the computer editor. You can back up/restore your Helix, email the backup to yourself, etc. The Helix can absolutely replace your entire signal chain and be used as the only piece of gear to process your guitar sounds. The same could not be said about the Helix when it was on earlier firmware versions. Now, the Helix itself is very cheaply made. I thought I'd purchase one and never need to use anything ever again– wrong! After about a year of light use, the buttons stopped working reliably, then an LED stopped working. Helix is assembled using cheap Chinese parts that are tiny! For example, the footswitches are not what they appear to be–there are tiny tactile microswitches underneath. The Helix will not withstand nonstop gigging for more than a year, unless it's regularly serviced/cleaned, etc. It's a real shame because it can sound great, but something is always failing, or about to fail.Dimitri

Overall: I just received the Helix Rack yesterday so I only have a few hours in the drivers seat but that's enough to learn how truly awesome this thing is. I've owned a lot of Line 6 products over the last 20 years, in fact I still have a spider V240 and a POD HD Pro X but the Helix is so far out of their league they will probably never get used again in my studio. The design is sleek, easy to navigate, user friendly and just all around beautifully designed. The large full color screen is not only eye catching but makes navigating the menus effortless. Even though I'm modeler savvy, I've had no previous experience with Impulse Responses, in fact, I hadn't even heard of them until I started researching the Helix Rack and quite honestly I didn't think that I would care to use them… Well… I was wrong. It's amazing what these things do for the quality and authenticity of my tones when recording. As I mentioned earlier I only have 2 days under my belt at this point but most of that has been recording scratch tracks just to hear the result of these I.R's. I also love the fact that Line 6 still adds all of the necessary physical knobs and controls to their equipment in the days of everything being digital. The idea that I can play almost uninterrupted while tweaking many different parameters on the unit itself without a pedal is always a selling point for me. Not taking anything away from the foot controller but when I'm seated in front of my rack, using my hands to adjust the unit itself is just somewhat more convenient at times. Next, the user space… I thought that my POD HD Pro X had a lot of space for user presets but It has nothing on the Helix. I will probably never fill all of the user List's or even come close to it but It's always better to have something and not need it than to need something and not have it. Also, let me jump back to the large screen again, I have a laptop on which I keep all of my editing software for my studio equipment. I always plug in my Spider V240 and POD and use the Spider V Remote and POD HD Pro X edit software respectfully because in most cases sitting behind my recording console and tweaking my sound is just much easier to do with the computer apps than the equipment. The Helix is the first and only piece of equipment I've owned where the display is laid out and organized in a way that is very similar to a computer or tablet app and so even though I have the Helix Edit app running on my computer right next to me, making adjustments on the front of the Helix Rack in many cases is actually easier and faster than grabbing a mouse and using the comp app. I could write much more describing my total satisfaction thus far but I will wait 'till I have used it for another month or so and update my review at that time. I will leave you with this thought. While conveying my total happiness to my brother last night regarding the Helix Rack, I went so far as to say that I feel that this could be the last guitar processer I ever buy and if not it's pretty close.Fred

The delays, the mods, the tube amps, the pedals the IR options. The most exciting thing about this is the sound! The Helix class software lets me play like me and sound like me. However, another fantastic feature is the edit-ability, and that you get Helix Native for 99 bucks that loads in full Helix profiles with tons of presets. I love loading the profiles into Native and scaling them down for Stomp XL. Another is the portability. I can tote this thing around everywhere and not even feel the pain of dragging around heavy processing gear. I haven't had it long and am just digging in, but i can tell you, it gets more and more exciting what the Helix class software/ HX Stomp can do the further I go. Seamless computer to unit edits and updates are easy. Get it…get it now. You wont regret it. Five stars in every category.Bobby O'Dell

It's a nice pedal as utility pedal for only needing the one effect. Enjoying the tremolo, reverb, flangers. You can set the effect to a preset (up to 24) and flip through them on the fly. Renaming the effect is a pain, having to use the dials! The distortion effects are weak but can be used with your dirty channel to be usable like using a fuzz otherwise it sounds thin and not usable. I'm not having any grounding issues and I have it powered through a pedal board brick. I have it running in front of an orange tube amps.BJ

About 100 pedals models for less than £100. Some in stereo and can be output in stereo or mono. Straight out of the box some models sound very good to me, I especially like the tremolos, some of the reverbs and delays. Also I quite like one of the chorus models (an effect that does not usually use) and one of the overdrives. Have to try tweaking the uni vibe and phasers but I'm sure there will be useable sounds in there My rating for sounds reflects my view that I find some bad and others excellent. It has plenty of features, is well made with a sturdy metal enclose, comes with its own power supply and is easy to use. All in all I think it is worth the price and worth considering if you want access a wide range of effects. Probably better for recording rather than using live.Reviewed by guitarguitar custome

This pedal is perfect for anyone who is running their complex delay/reverb/ambience stuff in an effects loop, but needs a 'swiss army knife' pedal for effects that need to go in front of the amp (distortion, wah, phaser, etc.). I was playing in the pit for our local HS musical last fall (they haven't had any electric guitarists…or bassists or drummers for that matter… in the student population for the last 7-8 years…I blame vocalist-centric reality TV shows….but I digress). The show was "Sister Act" and, unlike the R&B tinged '92 movie, the (2006) stage musical is all late 70's disco style. Needless to say, I needed a wah-wah pedal. Instead of shelling out the same amount for a decent 'one-trick-pony' wah pedal, I opted for this unit, as I have been looking for a multi-function 'in-front-of-the-amp' pedal for a while, and I already had an expression pedal for my keyboard. My expression pedal was the dirt cheap M-Audio plastic one that, according to Line6's own website, shouldn't work with this unit…except it did. Yes, even when toggling the "M-Audio/Other" switch on the underside of the pedal, at first It either didn't work at all, or worked backwards. But then, I discovered the genius programming built into this little gem. If you rock the EXP pedal either fullup or full down, you can manually set the heel/toe values for ANY of the 5 adjustable parameters in a given effect. SO…….In the tube/tape delay effect, for example, I have it set so the repeats, drive/gain, and "wow/flutter" all increase (each by individually set amounts) when I rock the EXP pedal from heel to toe. Add to that the fact that this is a dual stomp switch pedal with a dedicated tap-tempo switch, and you have an ultra-controlable delay unit. My only niggle is in the auto-wah/'tron' department. While they have a few dynamics-based filter effects models, only one is a dedicated Mu-Tron/envelope-filter type effect. What's more, since they only have the one model, and only 5 adjustable parameters, they decided to allot some of those 5 precious parameter knobs to things like "high-/low-/band-pass filter" and left out the crucial "sensitivity" setting. My rig is old-school; vintage non-master-volume amp + tube screamer + THD Hotplate. All my gain/distortion is controlled via my guitar's volume knob. The problem is, with no 'sensitivity' setting on the 'Tron' effect model, you only get decent results if your guitar volume is full up on or near 10. Unfortunately, most of the situations where you want to use this type of effect are with a relatively clean tone. But, since I can only get said cleaner tone by rolling back my guitar's volume, I don't have enough signal to trigger the wah effect. Instead of including some of the 'cool-but-of-limited-usefulness' models like "Comet Trails" in this section of the pedal, I wish Line6 would have had multiple 'Tron' models (high-/low-/band-pass) with sensitivity parameter adjustments all 'round. Full disclosure; what with my fore mentioned rig, I have not at all explored the distortion section of this pedal, and thus cannot comment on it's quality or lack thereof. I have at least dabbled in the modulation section, and done extensive exploration in the filter, delay, and Reverb sections, and found them all adequate to superior in tone and 'controlability' (OK, maybe not a real word…yet). And, c'mon, for $130? You really can't beat this!mikeoxmal

I bought this compressor intending to use it with both Fender Strat and my bass guitar. I am a professional music producer and listened to the unit carefully in the studio headphones. It is a great tool if you know what to use it for. When used with a strat it makes the sound crisp and places the funky clean tone perfectly in the mix. The tone is somewhat on the colder side, with bright fluid sustain added to the sound. Think about it as a sustainer first and then compressor. Great tool in the pallette. However, there are a few things to keep in mind: – the unit makes a sub low cut when engaged even with the minimum effect added to the direct signal. Bassists bear this in mind (unless you are a hardcore punk bassist playing with distortion and a pick and don't care much about your sub bass tone). It can also be felt on the clean electric guitar sound (if it's funky tone in the band setting you would cut off the low end of the strat anyway). – with higher compression ratio settings you get more sustain but some noise is also added. – if you want to use the 9V battery with the unit keep in mind that to change the battery you need to use a screwdriver for 4 screws to remove the back panel of the unit.J

I love this pedal. I play an Epi Les Paul Classic, into my pedalboard, and into a 90's Peavey Bandit. The amp has a Jensen Mod soesker, not the original Scorpion speaker. The Bandit with this speaker has a great clean channel. I'm a long time Fender guy. Strats and Teles. I like a clear, bright fundamental tone. I found myself compensating with the LP and using the bridge pickup a lot. But still not satisfied with the clean tones from the LP. That changed when I put the Keeley Compressor Plus on my board. The conbination of the Blend control and the Tone knob gives me what I want. The Tone control is, to my ear, an exceptional circuit. I get the bright, clear tone I need and superb sustain. This pedal is a godsend for playing slide. The compressor goes before my dirt pedals with beautiful results-1-. I use a Boss SD-1 overdrive and a Donner Dark Mouse – a Rat clone. I'm very impressed with this compressor. I put all controls at about 12:00, which the manual recommends for humbuckers. Minimal tweaks from there to get what I want. I love that it doesn't squash the life out of my pick attack. It is always on. Works great with acoustic/electrics as well. Great, musical piece of gear. Well done, Mr. Keeley.Mister G.

Keeley makes two of the very best reverb and echo units. One is the Memphis Sun for the low fidelity tile room Sun Records '50s rockabilly sound. This is also excellent and high fidelity. I like the simplicity of Keeley pedals to get that classic reverb and slap back sound I love. I grew up adoring my father's Echoplex EP3 in the '70s. Keeley gives that full saturated sound in easy to use and understand pedals.Tim B.

This pedal is so much fun. Well named as the combo of effects makes any small practice amp sound like you're in a tremendous cavern. I'm just getting started with my pedal collection, so my expertise is minimal, but this pedals was really easy to get the hang of. The dials are hard to see and operate from standing so don't expect to be able to tweak without using your hands, stomp switches works great for that to turn the two effects on and off while playing.kmoon60

With the amount of Delay/Reverb pedals being released this pedal is breath taking! The 3 reverbs on-board are inspiring to say the least. Most reviews say this isnt a "just for a spring reverb" pedal however the spring setting on it is my favorite. Love the built in trem. The Shimmer is awesome but the shimmer setting has to be pretty high up for them to become noticeable. The Modulation setting is also very nice though I dont go to it frequently. The delay side is amazing as well. The modulation goes from subtle to extreme. This is a steal at 179.99 and its worth every penny!NRKB

While some claim this compressor is an optical compressor, that couldn't be further from the truth. This compressor is an OTA (operational transconductance amplifuer) design, much like a Ross or Dynacomp. That being said it is an improvement in that design. A big one. If you're into great tone does it really matter whether it is OTA, optical, flux capacitor, or glow plug? No. The bottom line is that this compressor is awesome! It can do the Ross/Dynacomp thing where it DOES squash and color your tone, or it can be as transparent as you want it to be. The key is to put that blend knob to use along with the other controls.Guitar74

I have the Mini Ego on another pedalboard and I love the sustain knob on the big brother. The pedal has phenomenal versatility. The tone control is very interactive and when switching from single coil to humbucker pickups all is needed is a tone adjustment to dial things in. Very helpful staff even while very busy with other customers. Was able to try both the Fender Downtown Express and the Fly Rig V2. Yes the Fly Rig was more expensive but it also had more features. I bought this because I'm a huge fan of the RK5 Fly Rig, but I wanted something that was programmable and MIDI controllable, to integrate with my pedalboard. The PSA2 does all that perfectly but it's the sounds that have blown me away. It sounds incredible. Every Marshall tone is achievable and authentic, so are Fender and Mesa tones, and anything in between. And it really responds well to picking dynamics, and when you back off the volume on the guitar it cleans up perfectly. And…it just feels and sounds better than digital – my HX Stomp is now for effects only. I couldn't be happier, it's exactly what I needed. Thoroughly recommended!rossmacrae777

I seen a review on You tube demonstrating the Grand Canyon that impressed me to the max! I seen some things in the review that was concerning. Even though my mouth was watering wanting the pedal badly I couldn't see spending the purchase price for a pedal that would be difficult to use live. So, I seeked the older version for less to experiment with. I ordered on Friday, got my package on time and complete with zero issues Saturday morning (AWESOME JOB AMS!). The first thing I opened was the canyon, couldn't wait to plug it in!! This Is the best pedal I have ever owned. Superb quality and makes lots of cool noises! I love it for recording and definitely recommend it but feel it's not to good for live performances unless your super fast at changing the settings. The Looper is a feature that makes it worth the purchase price and the shimmer is the bomb for a creative person. Buy this pedal and buy it from AMS! AMS and Electro Harmonix are the best that is was and ever will be. Thanks!DePriest

If you're looking for a simple delay pedal, look elsewhere for something cheaper and simpler. If you're looking for a powerful multi-effects delay and looper machine, this is a pedal worth demoing. May not work with certain, cheaper daisy-chained power supplies, but no issues other than that. The build quality is excellent, as with all EHX pedals, and the manual clearly describes the functions of each knob. Speaking of the functions, some of the alternate settings are hidden behind a button press, but with the complexity of this pedal, it's still an intuitive way to access the multitude of settings. The on/off switch also acts as a tempo tap, which can be a little annoying but is very easy to get used to. The selection of effects is fantastic, though I find myself only using about 3 or 4 regularly; that is not to say the other effects do not have their use, of course.EVAN

My Sam Ash rep was right there when I needed him wrap it up! The Queens of Surf, The Surfragettes use this pedal with their Fender amps. I wanted some of their surf action to use along with my Fender reverb tank, premier 90 tank, Boss 63 pedal and now this one! No way you can catch me or Sam Ash! My vibrato bar never sounded better! My Strat sounds like Dick Dale and Nokie Edwards and l'm on my way! With Sam Ash I may not be the king of surf guitar yet , but I'm the Prince . For someone who has recently started learning guitar and not in a position to own a classic or boutique tube amp yet, HX Stomp has transformed my learning experience. While not a cheap pedal to buy its much cheaper that its direct competition but with equal sound quality and flexibility. Its also much cheaper than buying a proper tube amp. Being a new player, it allows me to explore all manner of different amps to find a sound I like so when I eventually do buy a tube amp I’ll know exactly what I like. The size of the unit is just perfect for fitting onto a pedalboard and sounds amazing along with my existing pedals before it in the chain or in the Stomps FX Loop. Matching the tones of the songs I’m leaning is both fun and just amazing how close I can get in a few simple steps. It also lets me experiences how different the guitar feels to play through different style amps. With just simple fretting techniques I’m sounding like I’m an 80’s rock star which is something my small practice amp couldn’t even begin to reproduce. The sound quality and variety of tones available from sweet and clean to pure filth is a complete joy to use. This unit is amazing value for money, so many tones available through the choices of effects amps and cabs it is almost overwhelming! There is however an amazing online community of HX Stomp users who share a huge amount of expertise so it was very easy to get up and running with the pedal. Brilliant. Only thing you should be aware of is that sticking it on a pedalboard isn’t the easiest thing in the world, it’s quite highly powered and the connector is non standard so you would need an adaptor to run it on a pedalboard. But again a quick search online will provide all the information you need.Michael H.

I have an amp that doesn't have a reverb channel and was using a multieffects pedal that had a reverb function, but I decided it was time to have a seperate reverb pedal so I could run it alongside the multieffects – kind of to simulate a reverb channel on an amp. I did my research and picked this little guy. I was suprised first off at the weight – for being a die-cast chassis, it wasn't heavy at all. I found my favorite setting in the Hall reverb, simply because I liked the decay it produced, but all of the effects seemed to work very well. the response was accurate from effect to effect when you turn the amount knob. I found at about 9 o'clock you would get a minimal effect that usually is more heard at the tail end; and at 11-12 o'clock it blends with your dry signal so it's very prominent. once I got past 12 o'clock though, the more dynamic picking I'd do the more the effect would push through, so sometimes it would throw my drummer off a little bit since it was almost a slap-back decay. with the amount knob all the way dialed-in, the effect obviously overtakes all of your dry signal; and in the flerb setting you get some awesome sounding ambient sounds. All in all, I wish I could get a little bit more of a dry/wet amount ratio, but this pedal definitely has some cool sounds and can be used in a variety of settings. I think it's the best pedal to replace a reverb channel for an amp and gives you more versatility than that one sound your amp channel would give you.Clifton

Nice nice pedal, feels fairly tough, the difference between the spring and hall I thought was quite noticeable. It take me a while to get a setting I liked however I imagine it will depend on your amp and guitar plus we all like different tones. Overall I like it would be interesting to see the difference between this The nano and the normal sized. 👍👍👍STEPHEN F.

Picked one a few weeks ago because I switched to a tube head without reverb. Orange TH30 which is also awesome but felt the need to add some verb at times. I choose this pedal for 3 reasons, compact, simple operation and $. Good decision I believe. Had no problem daisy chaining to other pedals using my Snark 9V set up and love the spring setting. As others have said, the "Flirb" is virtually impossible to use for any practice purpose and Frank Zappa may be the one person who could have utilized it. Still a good pedal.Latty

Where do I begin? What a fantastic unit. I've played it both through a tube, stereo 4×12 rig and an FRFR and it sounds incredible through both. The delays, the mods, the tube amps, the pedals the IR options. The most exciting thing about this is the sound! The Helix class software lets me play like me and sound like me. However, another fantastic feature is the edit-ability, and that you get Helix Native for 99 bucks that loads in full Helix profiles with tons of presets. I love loading the profiles into Native and scaling them down for Stomp XL. Another is the portability. I can tote this thing around everywhere and not even feel the pain of dragging around heavy processing gear. I haven't had it long and am just digging in, but i can tell you, it gets more and more exciting what the Helix class software/ HX Stomp can do the further I go. Seamless computer to unit edits and updates are easy. Get it…get it now. You wont regret it. Five stars in every category.Bobby O'Dell

I can get this pedal to do three things: a very subtle reverb that adds a touch of space, a room-like reverb, and a super long-tailed ambient reverb that's so expansive it almost sounds like it's mixed with delay. There are other reverb pedals for a bit more money that have more options built into them-spring, plate, hall, room, shimmer, modulated reverb, and so on. With this pedal I find it difficult to switch between the different sounds since it's a lot of knob fiddling. It does sound absolutely killer, which is why I gave it 4 stars, but I don't recommend it if you want to easily switch between different types of reverb. For me it will be more of a "set and forget" pedal for long ambient reverbs.Andrew

I was recently using one pedal board for all my guitars, and the chorus I had was mainly designed for use with acoustic guitar. Now I'm rearranging things to have one board just for my electric guitars and all I needed was a basic chorus pedal of quality build and tone. I knew from reviews the JHS 3 series was perfect for me. I've been playing for 57 years and have owned pedals in the $100 to $500 range to provide my chorus effects. No matter if I had mulitple options in some stomp boxes I usually settled on a good subtle setting, so I knew there was no need for me to get anything fancier than the JHS. It sounds are good as the little blue Boss Chorus I bought way back in 1980.Jon

Very helpful staff even while very busy with other customers. Was able to try both the Fender Downtown Express and the Fly Rig V2. Yes the Fly Rig was more expensive but it also had more features. Plus the Downton Express produced a nasty pop when switching the compression in/out and it didn’t have a tuner. Very happy with my Fly Rig purchase and the price match. Thanks!Poida B.

I bought this because I'm a huge fan of the RK5 Fly Rig, but I wanted something that was programmable and MIDI controllable, to integrate with my pedalboard. The PSA2 does all that perfectly but it's the sounds that have blown me away. It sounds incredible. Every Marshall tone is achievable and authentic, so are Fender and Mesa tones, and anything in between. And it really responds well to picking dynamics, and when you back off the volume on the guitar it cleans up perfectly. And…it just feels and sounds better than digital – my HX Stomp is now for effects only. I couldn't be happier, it's exactly what I needed. Thoroughly recommended!rossmacrae777

I purchased this one pedal to be all the pedals I don't want to buy as single units. I have an extensive pedal collection but I have grown tired of hauling around a pedal board filled with effect units I only use every now and then. I decided that a good way to remedy that would be to add a pedal that could function as simple delay, reverb, boost, and modulation. I have greatly reduced the amount of pedals on my board thanks to this unit. The weakness of the VOX Stomplab IG is in the distortion/overdrive/amp selection. I didn't find any that I found pleasing to my ears but I didn't expect to. I did find a few low gain overdrives that were acceptable but nothing I loved. I intended to keep my overdrive and distortion pedals my board anyway, so I wasn't worried about it. The compressor is solid, but a bit noisy. The delays and reverbs are quite good and I consider those alone, worth the price tag. my pedal board is now just a few choice pedals and the VOX stomplab IG serving as single and multi effect pedal. I am trying really hard to like this. With regards to the preset effects, some 9fnthe sound pretty good. But some of them, it's like they are non existent or pretty horrible sounding. The other issue is you are supposed to bypass the effects. But of you do, your volume reduces so significantly that I either have to turn up the volume on the amp, or disconnect this thing all together and connect directly to amp. The last issue is that creating your own defects is pretty hard to understand. The instructions are not very helpful and it is pretty hard to understand the abbreviations used on the box to figure out what effect you are working with. Oh btw, you have to hold the power button down for a couple of second for it to turn on. If you don't it will seem it is not working. So, this thing is not horrible, but the verdict is out as to whether it is something that will end up collecting dust in a cornerJohn, G

I use this with a Mission EP-1. I got this instead of a whammy pedal for its polyphonic capabilities and smaller footprint. With an expression pedal it's incredibly versatile. The pedal does color your tone a bit when it's switched on. As far as I can tell, it compresses the guitar signal slightly. It does not sound bad at all. I'm hugely influenced by Trey Anastasio and I use this setup the same way he uses his whammy pedal, which is mostly for down-bends when playing lead, with the occasional octave effect. When playing with an expression pedal, when you start to bend towards the end of the effect range, tracking starts to lag a bit. Since I don't use this for detuning, this really isn't an issue for me. For whole step down bends and octaves this thing is absolutely killer, however I have an AnalogMan CompROSSor on the way that I'm going to put directly after this to hopefully help even out the subtle variations in tone through the range of the effect. Trey uses this to his advantage with his whammy pedal, but I also plan to use this for the occasional faux slide lick and the compressor should really help make it sound more authentic, like how Jimmy Herring uses his whammy bar. With the Mission EP-1 the setup ends up being more expensive than a digitech whammy pedal, but I think it works better, having owned a whammy pedal in the past. I can see how some of this pedal's shortcomings could be dealbreakers for some players. I would not recommend it for detuning, but for everything I use it for, it's vastly superior to the digitech whammy pedal.ERockwell505
