Mono Electric Guitar Case For Sale (2024 Update)

I give this bag only 3 stars because unless Gator upgraded the bag or is making it in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase. I bought one of these for a Sterling by Music Man bass as I was under the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). As the photos indicate, this bag will work for a Fender P Bass, but the Fender FB620 is a better bag for that and other Fender bass guitars while presently costing 10 less than the Gator while offering better protection and features. The Gator GB-4G seems to be more of a universal fit bag accommodating a wider range of sizes. The thing it seemed to have going for it the most was its zipper which seemed heavy duty. I say "seemed" because I returned the bass and so the bag as well.Vice

I bought a used guitar for back porch jamming. Needed a gig bag that didn't cost more than the guitar ,but would keep it safe and clean. Stopped at Sam ash because I was certain they had a variety of gig bags. Not my first visit or purchase.The Gator gig bag I chose is the economy for dreadnought guitars by Gator. Great price for my budget and well made. This bag is perfect for my needs. Easy carry and my guitar is covered.Just enough padding in all the right places for my guitar. Very nice overall. It feels sturdy and should protect my guitar well. The only issue I had right out of the box was the stitching that connects one of the clips to the backpack strap was starting to unravel. Luckily, I have someone in myhouse hold who can sew and was able to mend it, otherwise I would have sent it back for a replacement. I just hope the rest of the materials stay securely in place.Stan the Man

I have a Mono guitar bag so this was the go to accessory for it. Its nice and stream lined and adapts well to the bag.. I really dont like the words TICK 2.0 written on the side using me as an unpaid advertising mule .. I think an adjustable interior divider would add more value for the same price and secure / divide contents better that being said it appears to be well built and sturdy like the bag its attached to.holle-wal

i have had this on my Mono vertigo bass gig bag for a year and it shows ZERO sign of wear. I put my Mono Lite board inside and have space for an instrument cable, extra patch cables, allen keys, string winder, headphone amp for practice, screw driver, the works, it has a mesh pocket and a flap that covers a place to store pens/ markers, string winder and something the size of a personal headphone amp.Bass_4_daze

A brilliantly well made high quality guitar case that I specifically purchased for travelling. I often use the electric part of the case for carrying clothes whilst I travelling. Back straps are adequate, strong and comfortable to walk long distance between venues. All together I'm well pleasedTrevor B.

The zippers on these bags are junk. they need to use heavier top notch zippers. the zipper on the smaller compartment areas is too small for real usage. Not sure why they just dont use the larger zipper on EVERYTHING. The a 3 point velcro rings for the tick bag should be 4 point (it sags on the single point if the tick bag is packed). where they strap at the top with 2 points is good, but its a bit wonky on the single strap in the middle because what happens is if you are carrying the guitar by the handle the tick bag sags down at that point a little bit. The guitar bags are kinda spendy but if you've invested into it, then the company should go the extra mile.I just wonder how much these guys have really travelled gig after gig with these bags. They are better than most out there though but also a lot more money too. I just think they need to use better zippers and add better/stiffer sidewalls for the guitar cases. My rig is heavy and wonder how long the guitar bag shoulder straps will last too. They seem sturdy, and so far so good. I play a Les Paul and the case could have stiffer sides for a heavier guitar. If you play a Strat or Tele then you're probably OK. Also, the smaller compartments are pretty much usesless too. they try to compartmenalize everything and all they need to do is keep it simple becuase NOTHING fits into the tight little spaces inside the pockets, unless you carry a lot of pens? I like spaces large enough for a couple extra pre-amp tubes, and slides but most of the inside pocket spaces are way too small for anything except, sharpies, or cable tips? . Someone who designed it must have carried a lot of pens/sharpies around because nothing else fits into them. I'd rather see a single zipper or velco space where you can just stuff everything itno it. Overall its a decent bag and better than most gig bags but these arent inexpensive either. The larger compartment could open a bit wider too. Its pretty small compared to the picture.effective.edge

Hands down this has been the best gig bag i have ever purchased and likely the last until it has to be replaced. I had previous cheaper versions and they were just that, cheap. This MONO bag has been a huge upgrade and im so happy i made the decision to get it. The linning inside makes sure the finish is well protected and the neck strap and support block are such a great insurance knowing guitar is not going to swing around in the space. The storage is great holding all my cable (both 1/4 inch and Kemper pedal cable) In ears, picks,spare strings and even having both guitars loaded (An ESP telecaster and PRS 7 string) its not a bad weight evenly distributed when strapped on your back. Outer shell is extremely well made and looks like its going to stand up to the road well. Bottom has rubber treads to set it on the ground without worry. If your looking at it but are scared of the price dont be, after your first set you will be glad you got itDaniel

Purchased this case for my Fender Precision Bass. Mostly, will be kept in my studio, and occasionally on a few short gigs. Case seems sturdy, and I like the compartment size suitable for a strap, cable, etc. Also features a locking latch which is very handy. Pricewise, its a very nice case for my needs, without going into more expensive flight cases for touring. Very satisfied and should last for quite a while. Would buy this product again. Decent case for the money. Dimensions are a little off from whats advertised. Lower bout width is around 13-1/4 instead of 13-1/2 so my BC Rich Eagle fits a little snug. Overall, no more than I use it, itll work. Sure beats paying $300 for the actual BC Rich case. Also, if your headpiece sets at a steeper angle, it will put pressure on the headpiece. Depth is more for a Fender style headpiece.xv1700at3

Got this for an Epiphone Special I with P-90's and it fits great. Would work for lots of smaller bodied Epi Les Paul type instruments. No gig bag is as good as a hard case, so already off the bat I have to deduct SOMETHING, but the price is very reasonable for a well padded bag and other bags in this price range often won't have any padding at all. Shoulder straps are good, the zippered storage pocket though is smaller than I expected. You can't get much in it beyond spare strings, a short cable and maybe a small electronic tuner. I don't think all that would fit if you tried putting a strap in there too so storage space is at a premium. Still it is well padded to be so cheap so 4 stars. Bought 2 of them last time they went on sale. They are padded but not very thick. There is a lot of room inside for the guitar. But not a very big accessory pocket on front for extras . I have an Epi Les Paul Junior trans blue in one and a Greenburst K-tone hollow body in the other. And BOTH fit. The Hollow body is snug but does zip up fine inside without damage. Dual zippers are quality and material reminds me of the Fender bags of years ago. For what I need them for, They work perfectly. Keeping dust off them and Protecting them from Scratches, Dings and Dents. For the money, These are worth every penny!!!skidoo90

I use this bag with an Epiphone Les Paul. It fits like a glove, but it's easy to get your guitar in and out. I zip it in for the night to keep my guitar from the dust the whole day, and back form work I take it out still tuned. The abrasion resistant nylon on the outside is high quality, and the padding seems to be hi density foam. The inside is smooth to keep your guitar cozy. The carrying straps have comfortable padding, with the option to carry like a backpack. Still don't trust the clip hooks to not release the guitar to the floor, so have to make sure there are no twists that can cause that to happen. For a Les Paul sized guitar, look no further. Unless it has improved features or is being made in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase as the FE620 gig bag provides better protection and features (for Strat size guitars anyway). I purchased one in May 2021 and only because as I was of the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). I should have sized things up beforehand since the Sterling by Music Man Cutlass I bought the bag for is essentially a slightly shorter, slightly sleeker version of a Strat (for which the FE620 was made). The best thing the Gator bag seemed to have going for it was the zipper which seemed rather heavy duty while mesh pockets on the front of a gig bag aren't particularly practical while being subject to tearing/ripping. As you can see by the photos, there's too much room in the bag for a Strat size guitar (though one might be able to insert the headstock into the bag's internal top pocket to prevent the guitar from sliding around too much in the bag). The Gator GB-4G ELEC Series Gig Bag is more of a universal fit bag better suited for guitars longer and/or wider than a Strat.Vice

Ok, things I love about this gig bag! It's looks great, super thin and sleek. It's pretty comfortable (I say "pretty" comfortable bc I'm comparing to my Fender FA gig bag which is SUPER comfortable). It has a lot of pockets to hold things, and has a pretty amazing magnetic "across-the-chest" strap that's super easy to use and really helps distribute the weight. It also seems like it provides rock solid protection for my EVH 5150 guitar (knock on wood). Things that I was slightly disappointed with. The pockets. Yes, there are a lot of pockets to hold things, including laptop sleeve compartment that can fit up to a 16" laptop. However, the pocket doesn't expand as much as I thought it would and anything that's the slightest bit thick really get compressed in there. Also the laptop sleeve is on the front of the bag and the thin layer on the outside doesn't seem that protective of the front pocket. It's thin enough that I'm not sure I'd trust a laptop there? My MacBook Pro cost 2x the guitar LOL The other small pockets are great for picks, strings, etc. but even my clip on tuner was a really tight squeeze in those tight pockets. Overall still recommend this gig bag bc of it's main function: Protects guitar great, looks awesome, comfortable, easy to use and transport. It's a great gig bag to have for you to carry a extra guitar just in case and have enough room for cables and a pedal or two and it's double padded on both side for both guitars.qslimtim

This is a gig worthy bag. It hold two electrics, Two of a Tele, Les, Strat. Even a 7 string Ibanez RG5127 and an 8 string Ibanez RG852.starofradiance

For MY review… These Glary made "Wayfinder" gig bags are not really made to protect a vintage / collectable guitar. They are made (In my humble opinion) for storage or shipping ANY guitar. I sell guitars for a living, and I buy these Wayfinder gig bags to pack / protect guitars for shipping. That said… These are the absolute best value for what they are. The padding is medium density 5MM P.E. foam (good enough for storage), and the outer shell is a fair choice of a Nylon material. The stitching is also a Nylon format, and the zipper is more than sturdy enough for a "snug fitting guitar". IF you need something to carry a guitar from place to place I would spend a FEW dollars more, and look at the Glary "Hard Shell" cases but IF you are storing or shipping guitars… I think these are the best value gig bag on the market. The price is low enough to give them away or it is low enough to keep your guitar(s) protected in storage. Do I recommend them? YES! I want them wholesale!zombie415.2009

I agree with a previous post that it is made for a 3/4” more than full size, however it will fit a full size. Just length wise it’s a bit of a stretch. My Jasmine S-35 did just that. As far as material and padding, you are getting $14 worth which is what I paid. Nylon material is a little lighter than others and the padding will protect from light dings while moving around but not more forceful impacts. All in all, it’s a good bag to transport your guitar from point A to point B such as classes, or to your practice spot or a friend’s house. If you want a bag to travel and throw around with the luggage and gear, maybe upgrade a little.jmedi

Overall: I bought this for my Pro Series Soloist SL2Q MAH. It fits perfectly, snug so no worries of it bouncing around in there. It doesn't have a cover to the accessory pockets, however like I said the case is snug so when closed nothing falls out not even my loose picks. The latches on this case are probably my favorite feature as well as the TSA locks. Found out yesterday when I checked it for my flight was that TSA has a master key to this type of case, so you don't have to dig your keys out to open it for them, however on the flip side, not sure if I like that they have a key to open the case. However it arrived in great shape, nothing missing, they locked it back up which i was happy with. Seems to be very well built and didn't have any damage or scratches when I got it after my flight.Ryan

le I don't have a lot of experience with other brands' cases, this Jackson case is perfect for what I was looking for – something that will protect my guitar from its environment. I bought my first Jackson from Musicians Friend almost exactly 20 years ago, so my needs have changed a bit from when I was in high school and lugging my guitar around in the back of cars. It's now more about keeping the guitar safe when stowed away: protected from my wife just tossing it wherever she thinks it should be stored, protected from it then falling because it was hastily placed against something, protected from stuff falling on it because of other items placed hastily above or near it, and protected from my 2 and 5 year old who are all too interested in playing with the noise maker inside (which of course I'm more than happy to let them experiment when I'm supervising, but that's not as fun as sneaking it out when dad isn't home). This case protects from all of that, while also being more compact than the Jackson hard shell cases from the 90's. That's not even taking into account the much improved hardware, handle, and TSA lock (many of the older cases have locks, hinges, etc busted off). This case is also tighter on the tremolo, and it has two storage compartments as opposed to one.. Functional attributes aside, it's more aesthetic, IMO. Take a look at the attached pictures to see if it may be worth an upgrade! While I bought this new one for my Soloist, I might just get one for the Rhoads.WhereismyAquaNet

Beautifully designed and very attractive. It is perfect for short-term transportation of a Fender guitar. Well padded, with pockets for carrying extras. Excellent value for such a reasonable price. I love my Fender Telecaster and American Stratocaster, and I trust this gig-bag to keep them safe in short-term usage: taking to gigs or carrying the guitar personally. Obviously, for journeys where the guitar might be in the hold of an aeroplane or a van/bus, a hard case would be preferable, but if you are transporting a guitar personally, then this great-looking bag does the job brilliantly. Perfect fit for Telecaster – just snug enough. Padding is adequate for general use – glad I chooses 10mm over 5. Pockets hold cable, extra strings and picks but full size sheet music and such must be folded. Comfortable handles, good zippers, and backpack straps are padded and comfortable. This case has a narrow profile which stores easily. Materials are of high quality and appear durable. Grabbing case by top can cause tuners to move causing need for re-tune.geri-82

At first glance it looks pretty minimal, but I wanted something lightweight for a guitar that would be carefully handled–by me. Although the padding is quite thin, it has a nice heft to it and provides better cushioning than some bags I've used that are much thicker. Also, it fits a Strat like a glove, and the padding is in all the right places, so there's no flopping around inside the bag, so the guitar is really very well protected. There's only an outside accessory pocket, but big enough for a strap and extra strings. If you need a lot of features or think the guitar will be handled roughly, then maybe this isn't for you. But for most players, it's a nice bag, very light in weight and provides very good protection if you use some common sense…Lefty

Great case by Mono! I like the extra pocket on top for smaller items such as picks, capo, slide and business cards. The wheels are nice but I doubt I’ll be using them much. Is it worth the extra $100? Not sure on that but it will last me a longtime and is top notch quality. As always AMS delivered it in a couple days.Scott

I purchased this item to protect my Gibson Les Paul Custom Signature Series Guitar. As reviewed, the interior is extremely plush. The exterior looks quite dependable for all intent and purposes. Like others noted, the points of contention are the metal pieces attaching the handle preventing a 5 star rating. It is illogical to spend so much time on every detail "except" the parts supporting ALL the weight of the instrument. It appears that with a given amount of weight shift, the support brackets may snap off allowing the case to fall down in the direction of the headstock and potentially cause damage from impact. Since this case will very rarely see time outside of my home, I feel fairly certain the few times I need to transport my axe, I will be careful.1amun_re

Cheap shell covered with vinyl. Cheap handle. Cover is falling off where the case curves in. Stitching is a joke, not real. It should sell for about $40. At least it fits my guitar. Not even close in quality to a Road Runner for about the same price.nolens

i ordered this with intentions of getting the most for my money. I don't have big bucks to spend, but I wanted certain things and I got what I hoped for. I wanted enough length to accommodate the longer-than-typical headstock on my LP copy Bradley. The measurements were clearly lined out. The rest of the fit was perfect and plush. My only criticism is the metal bracket that secures the nice handle seems a little thin, but I expected there to be a little give-and-take somewhere, for this price. I'm pretty handy and will figure out a way to reinforce it. If not for this I'd give it 5 stars! FYI, Standard Shipping meant US Post Office, at least in my case. This is not a snug fit, but it's long enough to contain the guitar. REINFORCED! Areas that touch the Tuners, Tremolo Block, Bottom Strap Pin have tough webbed panels and Exterior sides, expected areas of wear have synthetic leather panels. Very smart straps/hangers… GREAT BAG! 😁Bret

It should be made clear that this is a guitar bag, and not a hard case. It serves its purpose as a convenient yet very attractive way to locally transport my guitar, while also providing a few accessory pouches. Like most things now-a-days, it's made in China but seems to be designed and stitched well, with decent zippers, straps and handles. The only apparent downside is that the chemicals used in the production of this bag were retained within the shipping materials, and it smells really bad. A few days of airing it out should do the trick. Overall, this is a nice BAG.tully

This does not fit an acoustic guitar but shows up when u search for acoustic gig bag. its long enough but not wide enough. And they charge return shipping so 1 star for me. Quality is good if you bare using for a electric guitar or a very thin smaller acoustic.trevriffic

You get what you pay for. Loaded my guitar, it fit ok. But, after loading the outside pocket, I closed the zipper and the zipper handle came off. I manually opened the pocket, unloaded everything and put the bag in the recycle bin.jimpogue

gigbags are made to grab and go play somewhere. that is what this is. if you want some extra protection, get an old beach towel or bed sheet to wrap around it. you need a towel to wipe off your sweaty guitar anyway.thurstonnalley

I bought this product to keep my guitar from getting dusty. I have a Mitchell Grand Auditorium guitar. The guitar fits in it fine. It actually has extra space so it's more than big enough. Very nice material but not padded enough to be used as a gig bag.sdia_us_tlcaoki

Also, the smaller compartments are pretty much usesless too. they try to compartmenalize everything and all they need to do is keep it simple becuase NOTHING fits into the tight little spaces inside the pockets, unless you carry a lot of pens? I like spaces large enough for a couple extra pre-amp tubes, and slides but most of the inside pocket spaces are way too small for anything except, sharpies, or cable tips? . Someone who designed it must have carried a lot of pens/sharpies around because nothing else fits into them. I'd rather see a single zipper or velco space where you can just stuff everything itno it. Overall its a decent bag and better than most gig bags but these arent inexpensive either. The larger compartment could open a bit wider too. Its pretty small compared to the picture.effective.edge

Hands down this has been the best gig bag i have ever purchased and likely the last until it has to be replaced. I had previous cheaper versions and they were just that, cheap. This MONO bag has been a huge upgrade and im so happy i made the decision to get it. The linning inside makes sure the finish is well protected and the neck strap and support block are such a great insurance knowing guitar is not going to swing around in the space. The storage is great holding all my cable (both 1/4 inch and Kemper pedal cable) In ears, picks,spare strings and even having both guitars loaded (An ESP telecaster and PRS 7 string) its not a bad weight evenly distributed when strapped on your back. Outer shell is extremely well made and looks like its going to stand up to the road well. Bottom has rubber treads to set it on the ground without worry. If your looking at it but are scared of the price dont be, after your first set you will be glad you got itDaniel

Overall: Upon delivery, packaging was noticeably well done. After romoving the case from the packaging i was immediately happy with my purchase. I bought the ash colored sleeve and it looks perfect. The bass that im storing inside is the new Shecter J4, also purched from zZounds and delivered in perfect condition as well. I digress, the sleeve is study and fits great. Plenty of room in the main pocket for new strings, a couple pedals, tuner, cables, pretty much whatever i would need to take along. Definitely work the price for such a great looking gig bag.T.j.

I've had this case for two years now, it will protect your bass well and it is made of high quality material which is not likely to get torn easily. This is as far as it goes for me on the upside. It is incredibly uncomfortable for anyone whose back isn't flat and the straps are two close to each other. I'm riding about half a mile on my bike with it a couple of times a week and I always finish the ride with neck pain. The pocket is diagonical for some reason and you can't fit your stuff nicely without having them all rumbled up a few steps later. Also, the flap…who thought of that? Avoid this case, there are alternatives with sufficient protection and much better back and neck support as well as decent storage space.Ronypony

Very well thought out gig bag. The ability to load upright is very nice. As is the little office pocket on the top of the headstock. The rubber "boot" is light and bouncy, and the extra thick padding is very protective. Shoulder straps are comfy too, and the big pockets hold a lot if needed. Mono should mention that these will hold a JUMBO. My Taylor LKSM 12 string just fits in it. Somehow a GC does not slop around much either!!! I now have three… Hope this helps someone.guitars44me
