I give this bag only 3 stars because unless Gator upgraded the bag or is making it in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase. I bought one of these for a Sterling by Music Man bass as I was under the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). As the photos indicate, this bag will work for a Fender P Bass, but the Fender FB620 is a better bag for that and other Fender bass guitars while presently costing 10 less than the Gator while offering better protection and features. The Gator GB-4G seems to be more of a universal fit bag accommodating a wider range of sizes. The thing it seemed to have going for it the most was its zipper which seemed heavy duty. Unless it has improved features or is being made in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase as the FE620 gig bag provides better protection and features (for Strat size guitars anyway). I purchased one in May 2021 and only because as I was of the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). I should have sized things up beforehand since the Sterling by Music Man Cutlass I bought the bag for is essentially a slightly shorter, slightly sleeker version of a Strat (for which the FE620 was made). Beautifully designed and very attractive. It is perfect for short-term transportation of a Fender guitar. Well padded, with pockets for carrying extras. Excellent value for such a reasonable price. I love my Fender Telecaster and American Stratocaster, and I trust this gig-bag to keep them safe in short-term usage: taking to gigs or carrying the guitar personally. Perfect fit for Telecaster – just snug enough. Padding is adequate for general use – glad I chooses 10mm over 5. Pockets hold cable, extra strings and picks but full size sheet music and such must be folded. Comfortable handles, good zippers, and backpack straps are padded and comfortable. At first glance it looks pretty minimal, but I wanted something lightweight for a guitar that would be carefully handled–by me. Although the padding is quite thin, it has a nice heft to it and provides better cushioning than some bags I've used that are much thicker. Also, it fits a Strat like a glove, and the padding is in all the right places, so there's no flopping around inside the bag, so the guitar is really very well protected. There's only an outside accessory pocket, but big enough for a strap and extra strings. If you need a lot of features or think the guitar will be handled roughly, then maybe this isn't for you. But for most players, it's a nice bag, very light in weight and provides very good protection if you use some common sense…Lefty

OK, who writes the questions for the reviews? "Is it enjoyable?" Really? For a gig bag I suppose it could be enjoyable… maybe? For MY review… These Glary made "Wayfinder" gig bags are not really made to protect a vintage / collectable guitar. They are made (In my humble opinion) for storage or shipping ANY guitar. I sell guitars for a living, and I buy these Wayfinder gig bags to pack / protect guitars for shipping. That said… These are the absolute best value for what they are. The padding is medium density 5MM P.E. foam (good enough for storage), and the outer shell is a fair choice of a Nylon material. The stitching is also a Nylon format, and the zipper is more than sturdy enough for a "snug fitting guitar". IF you need something to carry a guitar from place to place I would spend a FEW dollars more, and look at the Glary "Hard Shell" cases but IF you are storing or shipping guitars… I think these are the best value gig bag on the market. I agree with a previous post that it is made for a 3/4” more than full size, however it will fit a full size. Just length wise it’s a bit of a stretch. My Jasmine S-35 did just that. As far as material and padding, you are getting $14 worth which is what I paid. Nylon material is a little lighter than others and the padding will protect from light dings while moving around but not more forceful impacts. All in all, it’s a good bag to transport your guitar from point A to point B such as classes, or to your practice spot or a friend’s house. If you want a bag to travel and throw around with the luggage and gear, maybe upgrade a little.jmedi

I just got a new-to-me bass which didn't come with a case or gig bag. I ordered this to minimize dings and keep dust and cat hair off my new toy. This thinner than my Fender gig bag, but will definitely serve its intended purpose. The straps, hooks, and zippers seem to be of decent quality. Got this for my used Squire and the zippers are very beefy (zippers are metals I think). Not much padding but enough for me to carry my bass around. Removable straps/single strap is really nice to carry. Tiny complain: the plastic part where it hooks on to the top triangle hook can sometimes makes carrying it on your back uncomfortable. The bag itself is great. My kid loves it and it totally works. I was bummed though when we got it for Christmas because there was a slash right in the front center of it. Like it had been cut with a knife. I’m assuming this was from a box cutter or something and it being opened in a warehouse somewhere. Since Musicians Friends dropped the price down to thirty fouf, ninety nine, I'd say it's a fair price to pay for a pretty decent gig bag to keep my Fender MIM Strats safe when not in use. The 25mm thick foam padding offers adequate protection. The pockets offer generous room for music and other things I need for the guitars. Now, what I think is really cool about these gig bags, are those Fender guitar pick pull tabs, way cool and totally classy. I'm sure there are countless great gig bags on the market, but my MIM Strats seem to favor these the most. And yes, my Squire Strat is also quite fond of these "nap" sacks.
I bought this bag to carry my Gibson ES 175 to gigs, since the hard case is heavy and I have too much stuff to carry already. It is light-weight, keeps its shape sufficiently to provide support and as much protection as you can expect from a bag, yet I can fold it in half and stash it inside another gear bag to get it out of the way on the stand. It has comfortable backpack straps, which is great if you have to walk any distance with your hands full of music and keys or whatever. It has three compartments on the front, each easily accessible and ideal for picks, tuners, metronomes, extra strings, foot stands, iPad, or however much you dare put up against your precious guitar. The largest compartment appears to be big enough to fit standard 8-1/2×11 paper, though I'm all digital these days. I was looking for an affordable case preferably made by Fender for my new Tele. I took a punt and choose this urban style tele bag. It actually fits the guitar very well with little excess room. It's a new bag with tags, though listed as "used." It's a very tight fit for the Jackson Kelly. You need to put the headstock in first and then work the back up over the body. It's well made and I'm glad it's got fabric corners holding it in and not just the zipper. I give this bag only 3 stars because unless Gator upgraded the bag or is making it in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase. I bought one of these for a Sterling by Music Man bass as I was under the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). As the photos indicate, this bag will work for a Fender P Bass, but the Fender FB620 is a better bag for that and other Fender bass guitars while presently costing 10 less than the Gator while offering better protection and features. The Gator GB-4G seems to be more of a universal fit bag accommodating a wider range of sizes. The thing it seemed to have going for it the most was its zipper which seemed heavy duty. I say "seemed" because I returned the bass and so the bag as well.Vice
I bought a used guitar for back porch jamming. Needed a gig bag that didn't cost more than the guitar ,but would keep it safe and clean. Stopped at Sam ash because I was certain they had a variety of gig bags. Not my first visit or purchase.The Gator gig bag I chose is the economy for dreadnought guitars by Gator. Great price for my budget and well made. This bag is perfect for my needs. Easy carry and my guitar is covered.Just enough padding in all the right places for my guitar. Very nice overall. It feels sturdy and should protect my guitar well. The only issue I had right out of the box was the stitching that connects one of the clips to the backpack strap was starting to unravel. Luckily, I have someone in myhouse hold who can sew and was able to mend it, otherwise I would have sent it back for a replacement. Overall: See title. I own two gig bags from World Tour. One is an older model and the other is this one. Both are great. They offer a good bit of protection and they aren't too expensive. The materials feel very durable. Other gig bags cost double this and aren't as good. I highly recommend World Tour gig bags to anyone. As a heads up, my short scale bass is able to fit in this deluxe electric guitar bag. I am so happy. The next time I need a gig bag, I will get another one from World Tour.Marshall
Overall: This bag obviously is not the high dollar type of case. However, the material is much better than i had imagined. Relatively thick canvas and solid material. I am especially impressed with the zippers which are very good and give you confidence when opening and closing the bag. It will keep your guitar from sun, rain and water, and relatively light conditions. But this is NOT a protective bag. It is a carry all. It has one pocket to hold your extra stuff that's a pretty good size with two zippers. I would definitely buy another one especially at this price. The bag came with my order of a guitar and fit it perfectly (a Gretsch G5220) Basically, it will just about fit any solid body guitar from a Les Paul to a Strat. Solid purchase in my opinion.Michael
I purchased this gig bag for a Squier Bullet Telecaster, and the guitar fit perfectly. I love the thickness of the padding and features such as the extra nylon pad on the headstock, so the strings don't rip apart the inside of the gig bag, as it happens with so many other ones. The pockets are nice and roomy, definitely more than enough for me. All handles and straps are high quality and feel sturdy, never makes you feel like they're gonna rip out on you. Zippers feel good, they're big and bulky, definitely high quality! You're getting quite a lot of value for the price this gig bag sells for! I've read terrible reviews and seen pictures of big brand gig bags (some of which retail for 2-3 times the price of this one, so I went with this one and can't recommend it enough!Oscar

It's a new bag with tags, though listed as "used." It's a very tight fit for the Jackson Kelly. You need to put the headstock in first and then work the back up over the body. It's well made and I'm glad it's got fabric corners holding it in and not just the zipper. It's a good substitute for a hard case when you compare the cost of any hard case for these weird-body guitars.frankb360

Very nice case for my PRS 245 good price fast shipping would buy again.
Its a nice case fits my LP perfect its not a high end case but it's it made very well. The only issue it had was a smell on the inside didn't know what it was I contacted Glarry and they email me back saying to let it air out for a couple of days didn't work but other than that good case.

Great product! Light weight and manageable size, yet gives far more protection than a typical gig bag. So much more convenient, and less expensive, than a larger, heavier, bulkier hard shell case. I read the comments that stated this bag is a little tight for a DN, but thought perhaps that was the case for other brands of guitars and would work ok for my Taylor . It was not okay and after having to get help to zip the bag I discovered that the zipper had scratched the finish on my guitar. I'm not sure why they made it so small, but I wouldn't risk it for a Taylor DN. It's almost exactly the same dimensions as the bag for the GS Mini, just longer. I can use it to carry an electric, so I'll keep it, but I'm very disappointed that it didn't work for its intended use. The Taylor "hard bags" are much nicer.rhguitar

The plush lining was nice and it fit well, Without a guitar strap. I did not like the metal feet on the bottom and back of the case. They slid on smooth surfaces and one of them had been hit during manufacturing or packaging and was loose inside the back. These feet were not screwed in, just held in with a push in rivet. I replaced all 8 of them with screw in rubber feet from home depot. Much better.Kerry
I love the fact that it has 2 storage compartments with lids and it fits my strat pretty well . This is definitely not a case that is meant to be taken on the road , but it is perfect for keeping my guitar safe and dust free in my home . Some of the seams in the pleather don't line up and it does seem a bit flimsy but I expected that at this price point . So if you just want to keep your guitar safe and dust free in your home, get it . But if you plan to use this for gig's you should look elsewhere .PAUL
