The case pictured is not the case I received. It is a 000 case, just the newer version. You should change the visual image to match the actual product. Also, the strap that holds the lid open is too short. Lid does not open far enough. TKL is notorious for this problem. I love the case, just not this inherent flaw. Your rep was very nice though. The case looks good on the outside, but a 000 Martin guitar does not fit well on the inside. The body space is too shallow. The bottom also has very firm bumps that jut out making it impossible to seat. Even when you push hard to seat the guitar in the case, the lid does not easily close and could do hard to the guitar. Real shame, because the outside of the case is better than generic Martin cases that come with 15 and 17 series guitars. Avoid.Chris

I enjoy my new case. I did have to return the initial case as it was cracked towards the top. Luckily, I have a Guitar Center nearby and they made the return and re-order very easy. The case itself is very functional. It is very common for reviews to point out flaws and for me, the one flaw is that the case does not open very far. It barely goes beyond 45 degrees which makes me cautious when removing or replacing my Martin guitar. This has nothing to do with the service from Guitar Center obviously – manufacturing. Also, the inner compartment is not very deep. Not really an issue just when compared to other guitar cases.James
I have been putting guitars in and out of cases and in and out of cars for more than 50 years. These currentMartin tblack ones are, not near as solid as the old blue ones. Nor are they done well. Poor QC. Nothing lines up. After concentrating and , hopefully, get past the aluminum safety the top has to be forced to mate with the bottom. The aluminum extrusion is not unlike the wheels on Ben Hur's chariot. Not nice to risk my 3 wonderful Martins. For over 50 years I have habitually popped a latch to get a purchase on cases. You know just enough grip to shift the case in the back seat of a car or to move the handle in reach. Well surprise,while shifting the D12-28 off came the latch! Really!? Some room inside or a dedicated place for a hydrator would seem prudent. This seems to be one of those, if it could be made cheaper it would made cheaper deals. I wanted to offer a "workaround" to one of the negative comments I read before purchasing the case. The user had a problem with the plastic cracking in the vicinity of the center clasp. I will say that I have noticed the fit on the case is quite tight at this location, especially because I have added a peg for fastening my guitar strap to the base of the neck. I have found a simple solution – just fasten the two adjacent clasps first. This distributes any stress on the plastic case and makes it easy to fasten the center clasp without risking damage to the case. I am grateful to the reviewer who pointed out this potential problem so I could address it before it manifested itself on my case.Lizarch5

This is the second djr hardshell case I've purchased from Sam Ash. (I've the 2016 and 2019 iterations of the djr.) There aren't a lot of hard case choices for a Martin Dreadnought Junior; in fact, this might be the only true-fit hardshell case on the market for the djr, apart from the rather minimally-padded gig bag with which the guitar comes. (And it's probably still the most competitive price!!) The case itself is great in all regards. There's a tad new glue-rubber-wood-factory smell, but air it out for a few days and the smell goes away. There's sufficient storage space in the compartment, as well as under the headstock area, for your essential accessories. More importantly, it can pass for a carry-on item and fits in an airplane overhead bin. My only gripe is that the plush fibers can be a tad loose–kind of like a fuzzy sweater–and can come off from time to time. It's not extreme, nor does it affect the overall cushioning; but don't be surprised when you see loose, green fuzzies here and there. Still a great case, awesome protection, and travel-friendly.Doro

I bought this case for my vintage 1961 Goya G-10 Acoustic Classical guitar which I love so much. The case is build very well, especially for the price…I was very impressed. The latches are slightly on the loose side of things when latched…but they hold. As for the fit w/ my Goya G-10…..this case fits tight but I think it will take the shape of the guitar a little better as it settles and breaks in over time. The "inside measurements" in the description are very accurate. The coolest thing of all is I tried another old timer favorite acoustic guitar of mine inside this case and it FITS so well with just enough slack inside, IMO is a perfect fit for my departed Grandfathers old acoustic that I grew up noodling on…..a 1964 Silvertone "parlor" size acoustic guitar. So happy it fits in there that I am gonna order another case for the Silvertone and one more for my other Goya G-10. Highly recommend for the Silvertone old 60s parlor guitars for sure!!!!
The Gator GWE ¾ Economy Acoustic Guitar Case is a good fit for a RainSong 12-fret parlor (CH-PA). It took about an hour for the stuffing to compress where closing the case took no minimal extra effort (due to the depth of the RainSong). Here are the numbers in inches: Option: Total Length x Body Length x Lower Bout x Depth; Gator Interior: 38 x 19 x 13.74 x 4; Martin 12 fret 0: 37.75 x 19.125 x 13.5 x 4.0625; RainSong P12: 37.5 x 18.8 x 13.3 x 4.1; An interesting external dimension comparison (my measurements) GSmini Hard Bag: 39 x 16 x 6; Gator GWE ¾: 39.75 x 15.75 x 5.75; This case is not a top-of-the-line wood case and I don't think worthy of being used for checked luggage (maybe no wood case is). But it is as compact as it is going to get and a good option for that occasional gate checked carry-on. Since RainSong makes 12 and 14 fret Parlor guitars, their stock case is likely a couple of inches longer (and probably a more expensive AND HEAVIER case). It appears MF gets them bulk packaged, their shipping box was not that sturdy, and was very beaten up by UPS. There were dents in the case but not enough to bother returning (it is a testament to the case's construction that it was otherwise undamaged). This Musicians Choice product is inexpensive – and no worse than the significantly-more-costly, official, Gibson-branded SG case. That's not saying much, though. The neck rest is about 1/3 of an inch too high. That means that, since the body portion of the case lid has a pad that presses down on your SG's body, closing the case puts serious pressure on the headstock of your guitar. Essentially, unmodified, this case is perfectly designed to break your SG at the headstock, if it's subjected to any, even fairly minor, banging around – such as by airport baggage handlers. If you have modest shop skills – and somewhat more advanced upholstery chops – you can carefully remove the velveteen cloth from the neck rest block, remove the block and sand its bottom down about 1/3 inch, then reinstall (re-glue) the block to the bottom of the case, and then trim and re-glue the velveteen to cover it. Voila! Your SG case now actually PROTECTS your guitar, instead of endangering it. Again, it bears repeating that the Gibson-branded case has EXACTLY the same design defect. The Musicians Choice version is just a slavish copy. If you want actual protection without having to modify the case, buy an ABS-molded, third-party, high-end case and leave both this one and its Gibson equivalent on the shelf.thomst
Excellent case for the price! I keep all my guitars in cases on a guitar rack in my studio. I needed a case for my SG without spending $100 or more on a case. I no longer do any gigs, so this case fit the bill for my needs. As in other reviews, my SG fit like a glove. Are there higher quality, more expensive cases out there? Yes. But for home protection against dust, or accidental fall mishaps, or short trips to a jam session, it's perfect! If your needs are somewhat similar to mine, I'd say, Don't hesitate! The case described is a 3" thick flat top case for a solid body, and the case GC sent (3 times…!) was a 5" thick case with a top bubble for an archtop. Even the tag on the case says it's for an archtop… It's a great budget case that fits a Telecaster loosely, and it will protect the guitar in my trunk exponentially better than any gig bag and will serve its purpose, so it's a keeper. The case sent is really the other more expensive Musician's Gear Archtop Deluxe Case at the solid body case price, and there's not a lot of other options in this price range.Smitty

Ok, so there is only so "fancy" a guitar case can be, right? Wrong. This case is a work of art. First off, it's kind of heavy-which I like. If you plan on carrying it for long distances, you may want to look elsewhere. Secondly, the interior fits my guitar very nicely. There is maybe 1/4" of space around the body of my CR-6,so it isn't snug, but once you latch it down, I can't feel any movement. Thirdly, the blue interior looks awesome. It's velvety, not furry like most cases. Fourthly, the latches look like any other guitar case latches, but they are painted black… they seem like they are coated with something. THEY DON'T MAKE THAT ANNOYING CLACKING NOISE! They open and close very smoothly. Finally, when the guitar is in the case, and you pick up the handle, it balances perfectly. Very good buy that was suggested when I bought my Schecter Reaper-7. The guitar fits perfectly in there and doesn't move around at all. The only things I didn't realize when I bought it was that the cutouts for other gear inside the case weren't covered, so if it's not packed in well, there's a chance for it to move around inside. The latches and lock feel a little cheap, but still a good deal for the price. If you're worried about somebody getting into your case or if you want a better luck for say going through a baggage claim, I would look for something a little more expensive with better locks. I don't really have to worry about that, so it's perfect for me. If you want a case mainly for storage, like me, you'll be pleased with this product.Zack G

The yamaha ag1-hc hardshell case is designed to protect your a1 f fg or other larger-than-average dreadnought-style acoustic guitar. of course it's also worth mentioning that the ag1-hc fits a wide range of other acoustic guitars – making it an excellent fit for instruments you may have had trouble finding a case for. what's more the case doesn't say yamaha or anything on it so you can stay brand free as you transport your guitar safely.

This is a Very nice guitar case that was not very well QC'd from the factory. The problem was not caught at M.F's shipping department either. They simply receive boxed products and then label and ship to you. The alignment and molding of the case was not right, for that reason the latch in that area will not close without a lot of pressure on the case. The plastic or the back hinges are also not connected quite right. This makes one of only three latches not real functional. Not sure how SKB could not catch this. It is very visible. This case is for my son's school guitar lesson's. It is very difficult for him to be able to close this latch. It would cost me forty more to send and receive another case. Not worth the money, so we'll just have to live with this defect. In hind sight, I'd should have payed thirty more in town to buy this case. Did not think I could have a a issue to buy a case online. To date (July 2013), Martin does not make a hardcase for the Little Martin. While this case is often considered a Baby Taylor case, it fits the Little Martin like a glove. The case came in what appeared like a very light, black, burlap bag within a larger cardboard box. There were a number of scuff marks on the case itself. While that didn't bother me much (with used it's going to get more), I was concerned it was a used case. Interior inspections suggest it was new but no one can be 100% sure. As for the case, the hidden storage is rather small approx. 7in x 3in x 2in. It's great to keep your capo, picks, and other minor items, but if you like to store your strap in there, it's going to be a VERY tight fit. I have read that people didn't like how the case rattles when it's close, for lack of a proper fit, however I didn't notice this problem and it seems like my Little Martin is pretty secure in it (I shook it pretty hard for a minute to see if I can hear it move). Overall I'm happy with the case. It's likely you will be using this as a travel guitar if you bother getting a hardshell case. The last thing you need is announcing to the world it's either a Martin or a Taylor in there and gets it stolen.AsianGuy97
This is my third case of this model. My wife just recently purchased a LTD. Edition Baby Taylor Koa. So I wanted it to be safe and secure. The SKB 300 is awesome. The previous ones are for my Little Martin (LX1) and for wife's Luna Safari nylon. We always each take a travel guitar with us when we vacation. The SKB 300 is light and tough. In My experience the lid lines up perfectly as do the latches. When you can catch them on sale they are an amazing value and offer. It is true the inside compartment is small but be realistic, its a small case. A capo and tuner and extra strings fit fine. I actually am able to also put a strap in but it has to rolled tightly. I know it fits Little Martins fine and I know it fines Luna Safari nylon string fine. It will NOT however fit Luna Safari's that have steel strings.craftydolls

This case does not fit a Gibson Flying V in a safe way. I have a 2019 Gibson Flying V and the guitar fits in the case with about 3 inches of room on either the top or bottom of the case because it will slide front to back. I have closed the case and gently shifted it to see if the guitar shifts while the case is sealed and it will. This case would not protect the guitar in any form of travel.Tony
I bought this product because I read it would be the best case for my Jackson RRXMG (24 fret). The case is very nice and super sturdy. I really like the way the latches are designed because I feel they're a bit harder to open than traditional locking fasteners. All that being said the guitar fits, but the headstock does hover a bit and the neck gets pushed when you close the case completely. Also the interior compartment is a bit small so don't expect put any type of musical book in there. Overall I'm pleased because my guitar is still protected.Epic Axe Man
SKB is known for making really good cases; I own a couple of their other models for other pieces of equipment and I love them. This case shows a good effort by SKB, but there is one problem with it. The way the hinges are positioned on the case, it makes it really easy for them to become weak and break off; one of them is just about to blow out on my case. This case used to be the only option for a v-shaped hard-shell guitar case, so it didn't make much of a difference, but now I would recommend a TKL case; especially if you own a Gibson Flying V. TKL makes the hard-shell cases for Gibson guitars, so you can guarantee that it will work for your Flying V. The quality of the TKL also seems a bit better too. Bottom line: if you can find a TKL case, GET IT!, if not, this is probably a good second place option, but beware of the hinges.
