Gets the job done! I've used these on many of my instruments for years. They may take a slight loosening of the strings to install, but from then on you're good to go…. never, ever have harmed the finish on any of my instruments, keeps the strap well away from my fretting hand, and no strap button to bump into on the higher register!!!!! New straps might take some wrangling to get on and off for a while until the strap leather softens, but at least you can rest assured that strap is staying on until you tell it otherwise!!!!! Never in 30 years have I had a strap come undone from mine. No clips to fail here!JOHN

I ordered this for one of my acoustic guitars. I had grown tired of attaching the strap with a piece of shoestring. It arrived quickly and appears to be reasonable quality for the price. The problem came when I tried to use it with a Levy strap. This strap has two layer leather ends and is a bit thick. It does fit on the button on the bottom of the guitar, but for the life of me I could not get the metal button through the end of the Levy strap without resorting to pliers and heavy tugging. I finally got it, but there was no way I was ever going to get the other end of the leather over the button. In fairness, the thing does work with a cheaper strap that has a single layer of leather on the ends. I plan to keep it and use it on another guitar with a cheap strap.tomtt2
