This item was returned in great condition. it looks and plays like new, with only minor signs of use (slight scuffs, etc.). the martin d-18 authentic 1937 vts acoustic guitar is a replication of a 1937 d-18 that stays true to the original with hide glue construction and historically accurate detailing. 1937 was an excellent year for guitars with a perfect storm of craftsmanship, innovation and materials. the d-18 authentic 1937 features genuine mahogany back and sides, an adirondack spruce top and it includes an authentic circa-1937 bracing pattern. it has period-correct "18" authentic-style appointments, an authentic neck barrel and heel and, new this year, a more accurate body profile based on dreadnought shapes from the early golden era of martin history. the martin vintage tone system (vts) is employed to age the top and braces, which captures the tone from the 1930s era. comes with a hardshell case.

Martin d18 e electric acoustic guitarcomes in very good condition : plays great.a few usual traces such as micro rays on back and neck (no ding, no scratch, please check pictures)this guitar is around 10 years old. on a basis of a martin d 18, an electric system was mounted. that one is very discrete, can be piloted by 2 small pots inside soundhole (please check last pictures). preamp is included inside the body, so the guitar was not modified on own its body. the system can be taken off easily if needed. serial number is hidden by preamp inside body so i cannot communicate it. i have the guarantee the guitar is around 10 years old maximum. comes in original martin case. the case outside plastic protection is a bit damaged at one point. please check pictures too. case is still closing and protecting the guitar as it should.

Primarily based on the golden era series martins, with some distinct and unique characteristics. comfortable authentic 1939 neck shape with 1 & 11/16" nut, 2 & 1/8" bridge spacing on a modern pyramid style ebony bridge with drop in saddle. fishman infinity matrix pickup with discrete controls easily accessed inside the sound hole. scalloped rear shifted 5/16" adirondack bracing on the adirondack spruce top. the entire guitar is constructed with hot hide glue and sports a thin nitrocellulose gloss finish and no pickguard on the top making for a guitar with tremendous volume and depth. premium mahogany and adirondack spruce with ebony fingerboard. the mother of pearl fingerboard inlay is an anchor and bird based on one of isbell's tattoos. like all the martin signature editions the jason isbell is an heirloom quality instrument that is meant to be played and played out. ready for the stage or studio.

Beautiful small body martin guitar with original hardshell case in near mint condition with only some fret wear seen. no modifications ever made to this guitar including never putting strap pin in heel in order to keep it in original condition. guitar has only been played in home and is stored in case, with daddario humidifiers in sound hole and headstock consistently. nut width is 1.750 and scale length is 24.9 inches.

Wonderful instrument. beautiful set-up, sound. never been in a situation that i couldn't be heard! no problems at all, just a minor chip above the nut where i kept my capo and also some fret wear, 1st 5 frets. it is an "aged" guitar. you can see in the pictures. otherwise, it's just as when it was bought. installed are aftermarket bridge pins, forgot the brand acoustic authentic or something like that, they are high end and sound great. those are included as are the original ebony ones that came in the guitar. i installed the aftermarket pins. rather than enlarging the pin holes i reduced the diameter of the aftermarket pins since i didn't want to affect the original factory fit of the black pins. the white aftermarket ones fit perfectly fine and sound really good, but my craftsmanship on the reduction was a little rough. case is in perfect condition and key and hang tags and polish cloth are included.
