This strap works perfectly for me. I have a Martin D-15m (early Xmas from wife). I'm 6'2 and wide shoulders. I do hold my guitar kind of high. If you are taller you may need a longer strap. It's breaking in quite nicely. Sweetwater always gets 10/10 form me!!!

I found a 1954 Harmony Broadway (in pristine shape) similar to the used one my uncle gave me when I was 12. I wanted to use my 70's vintage strap with it. This headstock strap button works great! Gets the job done! I've used these on many of my instruments for years. They may take a slight loosening of the strings to install, but from then on you're good to go…. never, ever have harmed the finish on any of my instruments, keeps the strap well away from my fretting hand, and no strap button to bump into on the higher register!!!!! Wanted a leather strap for my Martin guitar so after looking at several straps I bought the Martin branded. Leather is soft to touch but stiff enough that it keeps it shape on the guitar. Strap does not slip around on your shirt but is pretty easy to adjust for your playing style. One word of caution check the strap you are using now in length as this could be a problem with some players. I have to use it fully extended for the way I like for the guitar to set on my body. I just bought a second one since it's so beautiful and comfortable! At the end of the day, the only reason you need a strap is if you're going on stage — and on stage you want to feel good and look good (sound good is a given!). So comfort-wise it's sweet. First one I bought was beautiful black suede and it's wearing perfectly. The new one is just as nice but it's top grain leather, not suede. Just a little different. I'll let you know in 10 years which one stood up dive bars better 😉

I had other 2 straps like that one (but black/natural) and they are extremely comfortable. Also, I decided to try and I bought other padded straps (like Mono and Gruv), but the BMF is my fav one. You may think they are heavy and bulky because of the thick leather, but it's not. The guitar feels good on my shoulder. The only thing that may be a downside for all heavy leather straps is that you'll want to install a strap lock. But it's unfair to put this as a disadvantage if you want this kind of strap.
