Reviews:
I am into classic rock, pop rock and blues, however, in my youth I was totally into Metal (i.e. Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Scorpions, Iron Maiden) lately I've been having the urge to play some heavy metal tunes I played when I was young, so I decided to purchase a metal distortion pedal for my smaller rigs around the house, I have many overdrives and distortion pedals but other than some of my amps at high volumes I had nothing good for heavy metal at acceptable volume levels. I came across this little Rage, I was not familiar with Mooer, and thought I will give one a try..in the 12 O'clock or greater setting the Rage has outclassed them in the tone department, there is not nasally/tin type noise which the others had, for the price of the Rage I was fully intending to return it thinking I would get the same results, the eq is very responsive and with the gain at noon or higher the pedal cleans up very well. Anyway, money well spent, I have been playing songs I haven't played in years due to not getting a acceptable tone at lower volumes. I was willing to pay much more money for what I was looking for, this little gem flipped the bill at a low cost.themanfromalabam
I have limited experience with compressors but I really like this pedal. I found my boss compressor pedal coloured the sound too much (too thin) and my JOYO dyna compressor far too subtle (and the attack knob seemed to be totally ineffectual). But the Mooer pedal is great – you can really hear the compression working, it is quite transparent as has been suggested in reviews and the tone knob gives a good range from bass to treble. It's small size makes it a bit difficult to affix to my pedal board – not much surface area to apply the Velcro to – but this is only a small niggle (it is a small pedal after all!). At the price I definitely recommend this pedal.Alan
This is my 1st Mooer – so I'm always a bit cautious when I'm laying bread down on a new manufacturer product – it was on Stupid Deal & I was in need of a heavier distortion as all in my arsenal (until this pedal) are "cleaner" types. A: I was surprised at the pedals range – it's more than metal B: Works great with a variety of guitars, both single coil & humbucker. I'm very satisfied after several weeks of putting the Rage Machine through a variety of scenarios. Nice product.Beerman
2. Mooer Mod Factory Mkii Modulation Pedal
Product Details:
Essentially 22 different sounds in one small pedal! mod factory mkii contains 11 algorithms straight out of our award-winning mod factory pro. all the usual suspects are there such as chorus, flange, trem and phase but it also sports a cool new low-bit effect and ring modulator that have proven very popular with the pro version. following feedback from end users, the signal to noise ratio has been greatly improved over the original and your guitar tone will remain full and present when you turn the pedal on. to enhance the experience even further, real-time tap tempo and acceleration functions have been added and can be accessed via the soft touch, momentary footswitch. mod factory mkii also has an option for series/parallel. the series/parallel switch toggles between serial and parallel internal signal chain routing. this effectively provides 2 very different sounds from each modulation type.
Specifications:
Reviews:
This little green gem has been a great addition to my pedalboard, filling in for potential gaps for various modulation pedals I dont have or occasionally swap out. The Series/Parallel button is a great option: Series using pure effected signal, while Parallel blending dry signal to the effected signal, too. This is especially useful for the vibrato effect; Set it to its slowest speed and minimal sweep and it creates and clean doubler. This also makes the phaser sound less intense. The chorus and flangers are really useful. The rotary effect isnt particularly accurate, but it does make for a good alternative flanger or vibrato effect. Ive always wanted to experiment with Ring Modulation, and this has a lot of control with parameters especially interesting when combined with OD sounds. The Tremolo effect is Mooers simple sine wave option from their Triangolo Trem pedal. Stutter is a square wave tremolo option. The AutoWah effect is a modulated Wah filter. Setting it slow provides a unique sweep character, made more subtle by running it in Parallel. Low Bit tweaked correctly will create a low-fi synth character similar to an old video game. Liquid set to medium-slow sounds similar to an old synth effect that randomly steps through filters (kind of like ELPs Karn Evil9, 1st Impression). The pedal cleverly incorporates two features in the foot switch: it acts as a tap temp, AND when holding it down, it gradually accelerates any selected effects modulation rate, while releasing it gradually returns it to its original modulation tempo (using Tremolo, its like Radioheads Bones when they manually turned the rate knob). Are these the best examples of these effects? No. Are the knobs tiny? Yes. Is it hard to read the yellow lettering? Yes, but I have the options memorized. Most importantly, when I have no room on my board for these effects, its nice to be able to still have access to something thatll work and also have fun with.alonzomachine
Ottimo prodotto in dimensioni contenutissime, 11 + 11 effetti di buona qualità, facilmente regolabili e gestibili. In robusto metallo.

This is my first Chase Bliss pedal & it certainly won't be the last ! It does so much more than simple Delay & Reverb, it is truly an instrument in itself & is packed with inspiration & dreamy ambience that can produce vast soundscapes or mechanical robotic chaos & that's just the tip of the iceberg with this pedal. I won't go on about every single feature but just say that it has inspired me to make better music than ever & I'm already saving for my next Chase Bliss pedal as I think they are well worth the price & can do what 3 or 4 sperate pedals would be needed to replicate the sounds. If you don't have one get one…..you won't be disappointed !dreamland5151

5. Xotic Ep Booster Effects Pedal
Product Details:
Xotic effects ep booster what do the tones of renowned guitarist such as page, evh and johnson have in common? they all used the legendary echo machine ep-3 as a pre-amp. xotic effects have captured that magic in a new boost pedal, the ep booster. xotic effects uses the highest quality parts available with a discrete fet design and low impedance output, the ep booster provides up to +20db of unadulterated boost with multi-dimensional, shimmering highs and lows, and no ear fatigue. the internal dip switches let you choose the boost frequencies, and eq settings. housed in a small 3.5"x 1.5" x 1.5" case with blue led and transparent knob, the ep booster can be powered by 9-volt up to 18-volts. this used pedal is in very good condition. it shows some of cosmetic wear, but is fully functional. it has velcro on the bottom and a barefoot button on the switch. this pedal includes the original box, but it does have a faint smell of smoke and is discolored.
Specifications:
Reviews:
Amazing little pedal, set the internal DIP to flat and not the "vintage" roll off (my opinion) even if you use zero level boost the overall buffering and sweetening to your signal is just better. Once on, you will forget about it (end of chain, after drives) only when you switch it off you'll realize, "oh yeah that makes everything sound better". What it does to the EQ and overall signal tone is unlike any other pedal I have used including all so called "based on EP3 boost circuit" stuff. Had mine on the board for years now, still nothing has bumped it. The GOAT always on pedal! Try it.Paul
The line boost really brings out the amp's potential tonality. Cuts through the mix and really enhances the amp's tonal character. Currently running it in front of a Blackstar 100 watt tube head that is paired with a Marshall 1960 Vintage cab equipped with Celestion V 75's. The sound is great. The pedal's choice of using a 9V battery or direct power plug makes it even more versatile compared to other pedals that only run on a power source. Great little pedal.ZenCat
This is a great boost pedal, no doubt about that. I bought this used for less than half the price and while it does exactly what it should I have used boost pedals that are nearly identical that are at half this retail price point. If you have a lot of money to burn and are looking for the best boost this very well might be it, however this money may be better spent on a pedal that is more versatile and more noticeable in the overall sound of your pedal chain. This pedal is a clean boost and only flavors your sound slightly, and what it adds sounds very natural and very good; the build quality is top-notch aswell. So my rating is based on the fact that I feel such basic circuitry shouldn't cost as much as this does, and I would highly recommend buying this on the used market if you can get a nice discounted price.Rareintech

Reviews:
To use a fine old term 'bang for the buck' this is definitely it. If one understands how these work this one delivers the goods. I am easily able to get the full envelope range using a stock Strat. It would improve the performance, however, if the envelope sensing favored the bottom strings a little more which would even out the overall response. Otherwise dynamite! Maestrohealymaestrohealy
This pedal is cool but kind of strange. The overall effect is very mild through clean instruments but is very noticable with distortion. It boosts your signal a bit which will cut your volume if you switch it off in the middle of a song. The white knob does reshape your mid range tone which can either add an extra layer to shape your eq or diminish your eq altogether. This knob always reshapes your tone in this manner regardless of what the other knobs are at. One major benefit to this is that it seems to polish your tone a bit. The difference was extremely obvious when I tested this through my full bore pedal. This is worth having but it's more of a secondary effect pedal. If you need something to go with your distortion/reverb pedal combo and don't want something generic, this is a good choice.gei_57

Reviews:
Absolutely the best pedal that I have ever heard. For classic rock, blues, country edge, NOTHING I've heard can beat it. After playing 40 years and amassing more pedals than I care to admit, I lined them all up for a shootout and started selling off the losers. Just recently I became aware of the BB Preamp, after seeing a video of Andy Timmons set-up. It rocketed to the top of my list and knocked my previous favorite pedal (cmatmods Signa Drive) to the number two spot. I was amazed at the tone and responsiveness of the BB Preamp. It enhances your tone, but leaves it alone, with hardly any coloring at all – very transparent. I play a Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special, and honestly, this pedal sounds as good or better than the drive channel of that $2000 amp. Very glad I wasted some time on youtube and ran across this pedal!rs-guitar
gets that deafening svt sound at merely uncomfortable volume. bass knob has just the right freq to be low and fat without mud and boom. treble goes from warm and smooth to nasty. even without any gain it makes a better tone for your whole rig and band. don't let the lack off a clean blend dissuade you. this doesn't need it and sounds more focused and realistic by pushing your entire signal. easily does slight grit to lotsa grind. I use a EP booster in front of it to get more gain and volume when I want it and it sounds huge with tons of sustainJeff
The Xotic Bass BB Preamp was the first "Quality" pedal I purchased when I moved from Multi-Effects Units and Boss/Korg/DigiTech mass-produced effects to Individual Pedals, and while there are a number of high quality/high-end "SVT-In-A-Box" Overdrive/Distortion Pedals on the market now I still consider this to be among the top units. Firstly is it's perfect balance of ease-of-use vs variety of tone: between its overlapping Treble & Bass EQ section & Gain control, it's quite easy to go from adding just a touch of Overdriven "dirt" into an otherwise Clean Bass tone to Lemmy or Type O Negative's Peter Steele full-on "Lead Bass" Distortion, and many different examples in-between (Entwistle, Squire, Lee and Commerford). However, the amount of Gain you choose to use does not overwhelm the inherent sound of *your* playing style and *your* Bass and other gear. A Jazz Bass will continue to sound like a Jazz Bass, a Precision will sound like a Precision, StingRay, Ibanez, etc… Adding the 2-band EQ section into the equation will continue to give you more options: for example, if you're using a "60's"-type Jazz Bass (Alder Body, Rosewood Fretboard) you may very well want to add some additional treble EQ to sound closer to the stereotypically brighter "70's J-Bass" (Ash Body, Maple Fretboard)… or not, if you simply want to add overdrive/distortion. I've found that while other Bass Overdrive/Distortion pedals may have more functions and knobs/switches, I personally find Gain-increasing effects to be better with a minimum of controls. One feature is of great use both in the Studio/Recording setting, or if you should find yourself with a massive "Preamp/Head/Amp Failure" before a show: as its name implies, the Xotic Bass BB Preamp has enough output to drive a Power Amplifiler or to the Mixing Board on its own. This "Emergency Function" alone is worth its weight in gold if you don't have an alternative method of amplification should catastrofic failure happens. And you wouldn't even need to play the show using a distorted tone is your usual is a clean one – by simply not increasing the Gain you still have a perfectly good 2-band Preamp at your foot/fingertips. The quality of the pedal is also second to none. Hand-wired with top-of-the-line parts, its potentiometers & input/output Jacks are all heavy duty, and the footswitch clicks on and off with an audible (and forcefull) "click". The only negative that comes to mind is not only its but most modern pedal: it will drain a 9V battery very quickly. However, as most Bassists as well as myself are switching to pedalboard-mounted multiple pedal power supplies, I doubt this is a true negative to most players. Again, there are many Bass Overdrive/Distortion pedals on the market currently that give you a choice between multiple presets, more bands of EQ, XLR Outputs, and numerous other functions. However, I believe the Xotic Bass BB Preamp combines ease-of-use, a good deal of tones at its potential & high quality craftsmanship at a reasonable price of pedals of its caliber.

Прекрасный процессор для продвинутых музыкантов и экспериментаторов. Сложноват в настройке, но это дело привычки. Цена также вне конкуренции! Excellent processor for advanced musicians and experimenters. Completed in the setup, but this is a matter of habit. The price is also out of competition!
I’m loving my Mooer ge 300 I’m using also 2 headrush Ffr 112 amps to drive it for a stereo effect. It’s easy to use I have no complaints there’s a lot to offer compared to other fx processes that are more expensive and not so easy to use the community download page for cabs , IRS,amp, hole presets is huge. The Tone capture is awesome.Laine R.
10. Wampler Ethereal Delay And Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal
Product Details:
How many times have you sat in front of your favorite ambient pedal and felt like you need weeks of training at nasa to use it? knobs, switches, sliders… it's often so hard and frustrating to find a usable tone on those things quickly… how do you describe a pedal like the wampler ethereal? does ambient heaven cover it? is it the gateway between real life and the astral plane? or is it just gorgeous? it's hard to know which phrase to use when talking about it, because they all match it perfectly… plus, of course, so easy to use you'll be getting those perfectly ethereal tones instantly. when designing the ethereal these were the exact thoughts running through the mind of brian wampler. he wanted to make a delay that is as pure as you could want, with a time of up to 1s, a reverb that is thick and then have the option to mix them all up and put them together in one glorious effect that will send you away… all the way away while making it as easy to use and easy to find those perfect tones as possible. explore the heavenly sounds of the ethereal from wampler pedals!

Reviews:
I don't normally write reviews but I had to get on here and rave about this thing. The Wampler ethereal delay/reverb is pure fire. Let me start with the pros, I like the layout of the pedal, I like that the reverb is simple and one knob and gives you everything you need all in one dial from simple light reverb to cavernous black holes. The delay is everything you want to be all the way up to one millisecond, there's even a tone knob to adjust the tone of the delay feedback. The trails button is neat it's something very uncommon that you don't find on a lot of analog pedals. do yourself a favor pick this thing up and you will not regret it it's a One-Stop shop for delay in reverb. Brian lumpler and the team knocked this one out of the park!!! And I love how easy it was to order from ZZ sounds. They are an amazing company with the best payment plan for the average Joe and working musician to have the dream gear we've always wanted at an affordable payment plan. If I could give this thing 10 Stars I would!!
I chain this after a EHX Canyon set to reverb for a very lush, full sounding effect. I especially like the Wampler's separate delay and reverb level knobs, it allows you to tailor the sound to your exact need. This is my first Wampler pedal it shall not be my last. I expect there will be more soon. Extremely well made and the sound is exceptional. The clerk was working the guitar department alone and had a lot of customers plus he was new to the store. He performed flawlessly taking care of everyone there, myself included. A great product, the right price and all the attention I needed despite the crowd, it was a painless purchase.JOHN
This is an absolutely phenomenal pedal. Wow!!!!! So incredibly good. It arrived today, and I just ran through a 7 song rehearsal, and wow — I couldn't get it to make me sound bad — and that is saying something 🙂 For most delays, I have to play around a lot w/ the settings to get something I can leave on for rhythm and lead, clean and dirty playing (I sing, and need a set it and forget pedal). This one was different. I kept changing the settings, but it wasn't to find a setting that sounded good, but rather to find something that sounded bad. And that was hard. Crunchy rhythm, heavy distortion, cleaned up ambiental, fuzzed out leads, it was all very very pretty. Such a great pedal!!!

Reviews:
A balanced metal distortion with a tight crisp sound. Not overly harsh like a lot of pedals, but maybe not enough bite if you want an extreme sound. The boost modes and tone controls a low for a nice variety of sound options. It takes time to dial everything in but Im surprised by how much character this pedal has. I read a lot of reviews and watched videos looking for something that was metal but balanced and this is spot on. Note that it does not have an internal battery compartment, you will need a power supply.Old metalhead
First things first, this thing is tiny, and it is POWERFUL. I don't think I've ever had the gain past noon, because I've never needed to. My amp is by no means a super high gain monster (EL84 circuit, 1×12 combo), but this pedal makes it one. For the kind of stuff I like to play (80s thrash, early death metal), I think it does a really good job. Between the three switch positions and a really flexible tone knob, you can get a really wide range of usable tones with it. When I showed it to my brother (a much better player than me, with a lot better gear), he was astonished when I told him the price. I almost had to pry him away from the thing. If there are complaints to be had, I have to echo one of the previous reviews in saying that the hi-boost adds almost too much highs to be useful. But I guess if you switch to a neck pickup and roll off the tone, it can be okay. If this one breaks (hopefully not), I'll definitely replace it with more of the same.Eric

13. Catalinbread Galileo Overdrive Pedal
Product Details:
Brian may's sonic signature not only comes from his home built "red special" guitar, but also from a treble-booster pummeling banks of ac30s. he never turns the treble booster off, accessing a wide range of tones simply by manipulating his volume knobs and pickup settings. from his guitar, to the treble booster, to the amps, his entire rig is essentially a singular musical instrument. one that inspires the sort of playing may is known for. catalinbread designed the galileo with this playing approach in mind, that with it you can roll your guitar volume back for jangly ac30 cleans, and crank it up for searing leads and aggressive yet focused rhythm tones. there is something very special about a treble-booster hitting a vox ac30. the midrange gets super throaty with an amazing harmonic swirl. back the guitar volume down and that iconic vox jangle gets magnified – it can sound angry and aggressive, yet chimey and beautiful at the same time. it's a complex harmonically laden tone that is very compelling to play. even though the vox ac30 is mere 30 watts, to crank one up in order to achieve the tones that may achieved, it is very loud. too much volume for most playing situations. enter the galileo! the galileo is a custom-tuned rangemaster booster combined with the pre-amp section of a vox ac30 delivering the distinctive throaty mid-range and jangly crunch of brian may. the galileo has three controls tuned to deliver the essence of the brian may sound – gain, tone, and volume. with guitar volume knob turned full up, you'll get the soaring lead tones and tight but aggressive rhythm tones of brian may. turn your guitar volume knob down slightly and you'll be tying your mother down all night. turn your guitar down further and you'll get an amazing jangly clean sound that isn't really clean but is! in a full band context, this pedal will cut through with just the right frequencies to fit perfectly in the mix.

Reviews:
Ive had the pedal a couple of weeks but only plugged it in today as I was waiting for another pedal and wanted to try everything together. I tried the pedal through two separate amps and all I got was the most almighty squeal, even at low volume, I even filmed it, its absolutely hideous and unusable as it is, bought an ultraphonix and that works just fine through the same amps.beast668
It's Very on the bright side of life. Really bright. It's much better with a dark sounding guitar or amp. It has not a very wide palette of sounds and can be very noisy, depending on the power supply. Anyhow it's a keeper because soundwise it's very accurate and it has a reason to be used.

15. Coppersound Pedals Gravity Bomb Clean Boost Mini Pedal
Product Details:
The gravity bomb mini boost is the reincarnation of copper sound's discontinued smoke monster. there are a lot of great mini boost pedals out there, but the designers wanted to do this one a little different. instead of using transistors, they utilized a burr brown, audiophile op-amp capable of adding around 20d b. the circuit foundation is the underrated mxr micro amp. at zero, gravity bomb is a buffer. at 10, it shakes the coins in your pocket. towards the end of the dial, a combination of natural amp and pedal drive will be heard. running the pedal at 18 volts will yield greater headroom and keep the signal cleaner throughout the entire dial. amp and pedal distortion amounts will vary depending on rig set-ups.
Reviews:
I usually don't do reviews, but I felt compelled to after getting gravity bomb. I've used boost pedals for my clients in the studio for years to drive amps and get more character. This sounds amazing on guitars and especially bass. sometimes boost pedals are hit or miss – I find that while they may make things louder, they dont add any character. Gravity Bomb does both, but doesnt color your tone. This is easily one of the best boost pedals out there…it basically brings out your guitar's personality and its under a hundred bucks. When it's off, I find that I immediately lose something in my tone. I've actually bought two of them since using it a few weeks back for the first time. one for my gigging board and one for the studio. A GC friend recommended this to me and I kind of wish I bought it sooner. 10/10Brendan M.

Reviews:
The sound initially blew me away, and i am extremely satisfied with the purchase. At this price point you aren't going to find a better fuzz. I use this pedal for home use only, so i can't comment on how it sounds blasted and live. The build quality appears and feels clean and solid, but i can't comment on durability yet because i've only had this pedal for a month. The good things about it are: it's loud, small, and has a lot of range to make different sounds with. The downsides are that it doesn't have a blend knob, and getting just the right tone is difficult. That being said, there is plenty of room to adjust everything on either side once the tone is found, so you will be able to get what you need eventually. I agree with a previous review, it is nice to have an eq before the pedal to get everything just right.Jimmison
Always looking to get the Santana, David Gilmour, Gary Moore type sustain !!! I have been disapointed with several pedals, mostly being to 'harsh'. In the past, my Mesa DC-5 took care of sustain but now I do most of my playing through a Fender Blues Jr, and a Crate 20w transistor amp. This pedal makes these amps sing !!!!! It takes VERY LITTLE input from the knobs to get a great sound. I started with all settings at 12 o clock and kept dialing back towards 0 to get my awesome sound. There is always room for another pedal, but at least now, I can quit spending money on distortion type pedals that did not give me what I was looking for !!!KamakaziFlyboy
It definitely gets that unique fuzz sound, but it comes with baggage. The tone falls flat for anything below 9 o' clock turn on sustain. So if you want a subtle fuzz without heaps of distortion, your out of luck. It hijacks your tone, which is to an extent expected of a fuzz pedal, but the result is it not playing nice with other pedals. Overall I'd only recommend to someone who absolutely must have a fuzz, but is unwilling to spend more on a higher grade pedal. Its a one trick pony, so it excels at very specific tone, but the tone/sustain knobs are wasted. You can tweak it but it doesn't do much.jd1337
