If you like Fender modelling amp sounds, you'll find this perfect for headphone practice. The selection of Amps is a bit more limited than in a Fender Modelling amp, and the Effects depths similarly limited, but hey, the thing is the size of a matchbox and it allows you to jam along with your online selections, via Bluetooth. Your headphones must be cable, not Bluetooth, however, to avoid latency. But as the headphone cable goes over your shoulder straight into the Mustang Micro, you are not hampered by any connecting cable to your playback device. Overall: I'm very pleased with the Micro overall. Read my review below. It really is great. If I were to suggest any changes to the Mustang Micro, it would be this: 1. Include some earbuds with the amp…I mean, why not? You can buy decent earbuds for ten bucks these days…probably cost Fender fifty cents and would mean ready to go out of the box. 2. In the new model, set it up to have a bluetooth output for using wireless headphones. While not a huge deal, I'd really rather not have that wire running from the headset to the guitar. I always end up fumbling with it when taking the guitar off or putting it on. 3. Go ahead and print the basic amp settings on the Micro. The reference card works. But, just having the amp models printed on the amp itself would be handy. There is enough blank space on the Micro to accommodate this.These are just my ideas for improvements. I picked this up on a friend's recommendation as a better than average headset amplifier. My Likes: In terms of sound quality it is quite good. It is compact and I do like the USB charging feature a lot. The amp models are better than I expected and sound different with each guitar I use, just like a good amp should. The effects were a nice bonus, simple and effective. I haven't tested bluetooth connectivity yet, but I presume that it will do its job. My concerns, Use while Seated – nearly impossible,as with most headset amplifiers, especially with a side mounted jack . With my Fender Stratocaster, it is more easily used because of the top mount, but with any side mount, it gets caught on my knee and can get pulled out when seated. EQ feature. It does not seem to impact the sound very much in clean or driven settings. I would have preferred paying an extra $20 for a small set of wheels for hi/mid/low Overall it is a B+ for Fender, which could be a quick A with some more mounting options and a small 3 band EQKAS

This is a remarkable little amplifier. The positive reviews are all justified. Very diminutive, even senior management, who tends to frown when black boxes arrive, approves. And it produces a variety of great tones in remarkable amounts bearing in mind its small size. Perhaps not for the O2, but great in our lounge and enough muscle for a small venue before it gets a bit chesty. Very happy.biga268

I use it for practice. Although it has a bass setting you can program via the phone kit, the speaker is not as good as a basic bass amp like a fender rumble. The default presets sound the best, and if you need a different sound, it's probably best to use pedals on the clean setting. The effects aren't as good as I hoped for. The chorus effect is nice; but delay, reverb, and spring could be loads better. It gets the job done and I wasn't needing the other effects to be there at all so a good purchase for me, but if you need all the features to be awesome, look elsewhere.Waukegan

Purchased this along with the Squire Bullet Tele. Worked beautifully. All effects. Everything. Then nothing. No power. Nada. Probably why it's discounted $40 when you buy the Tele. Avoid.Joe

I'm comparing the UltratoneK450FX it to the similar 1800 model. I've used both for acoustic guitar and vocals. I was forced to use a lighter amp due to a bad back. The 450 is suprisingly loud. At least as loud as the 1800 although I don't get how this could be with the difference in wattage rating. I'm having to turn the 450 down at the same settings I hade with the 1800. The 1800 has a much airier and crisper sound to my ear. The 1800 has a much more musical high-end and present upper-mids despite what you do with the EQ on the 450. It just sounds cheap compared to the 1800 which I've done at least 300 shows with. The effects on either unit are very usable considering price. There are 4 imputs on the 1800 compared to 3 on the 450. The 1800 has 7 band EQ instead of 5. There are lots more options for connecting to other gear on the 1800. I hve not found the feedback control to be of use. On the positive side, as I said, it is 16 pounds lighter, has suprising volume and has a hole for pole mounting which a feature painfully lacking in the 1800.If you tend to have a thin, trebly kind of vocal this amp may help thicken things up. In general however,if your back and wallet can take it, spend a few more dollars for the UltratoneK1800FX. I absolutely love that unit. I've had 2 of them.gtunes

I use this amp with a number of keyboards. Surprisingly powerful for its size and weight. Not suitable where high power levels are required but this is the smallest of a range of combo amps built by Behringer. Most keyboards have stereo (2 channel) outputs so ideally 2 of these amps would be ideal. There are 3 line inputs. one input for XLR mic input and two phono inputs for additional inputs. In addition there are slave and line outputs making the unit very flexible.alplays1or2tunes

Bought this for almost 6yrs already, basically as. A keyboard amp. This thing experienced snow, slight rain almost all kind of weather here in alberta as i have to walk and carry this thing to our practice venue. And never had a major issue with this thing, and really pleased with it. So i decided to give this thing a good review wich is overdue already. as BEHRINGER definitely deserves it. That's one of the best thing about behringer great quality and very affordable. Just compare the price when you shop around plus the features and other people's review. K450fx has 3 channels with dedicated send fx for each + 5band eq, + 100effects + cd in. Etc. great package! I even use it for my electric acoustic guitar. And sounds really good. I was thinking of buying a fishman but it seems that k450fx will do the job. I use this Peavey amp as a PA for numerous instruments, keyboard amp; sound system speaker for ipod and phone and cds. It has very clear sound, excellent separation, and 12 inch speaker is large enough to give good bass as well as clean treble. It serves both live and recorded music very well. I have played through the almost decade old THR10c, which is a fantastic little amp. Through a SM57 in front of it and out to the PA and you can sound great. But I thought that by now, with Yamaha buying Line 6 about 5 years ago, the newest version of this little amp would have some state of the art effects. Wrong! The effects, and the apps that control it are seriously out of date. I mean, the reverb, tremolo and chorus are fine. But they remain exactly as they did ten years ago. No upgrades and nothing fancy. The app is poorly designed and not that easy to use. and there is no way that I have found access the THR10C classic blues models all in one place. So its actually hard to get the classic blues and country sounds that I need all in one place. I went back to my THR10c and sold the new one.Bruce

dial in your sound in seconds not minutes, I look at it and then I want to play my best, those amp lights man, wow, dim the lights you will see. No instructions needed. if you need to move some Air for clubs shows or band practice this is not the one for you. What it does is creates a killer vibe for personal guitar growth, very organic and the tones? Man, you have got to play through it to believe it. It will cover any genre and crash most all the competition in the personal practice amp catagory. its about quality tones at lower DBI, it's not a marshal and it doesn't want to be. You can boot this sting up 3 at night and sound like your at an arena in your bedroom without waking up the neighbors and your flat-mates. No getting up or leaning over the amp to adjust setting like a marshal. No LCD's to mess with with or crummy menu diving. Traditional Bluetooth audio is pretty decent for using the amp speaker for guitar youtube vids and playing along instrumental tracks. Someone else said terrible sound, what??? you have got to be kidding me, id call that person an amateur guitarist. the biggest stars have these in the studio, tour buss and green room, hotel room. amazing for writing sounds, its the sound you have always wanted without going deaf sounds good anywhere. saves your hearing from the ringing. if you want to expand this sound on stage get the 30 which has proper outs for studio and stage, and re-amp it. leave it on a partially cleanish tone for your genre, then output to normal amp setup, the smiles will come. Of course many are still going to need their volume pedals but in a lot of situations, if you know how to gain control and then crank it for a lead/ chorus, (id drive it out to the mains / monitors for ramp) but it sounds amazing as you turn it up, the character truly changes, for the better. it's pretty wild. its pretty good about feedback. iv heard people hook these up on tour or use them in the greenroom preshow, it's that good. stick with the new models that are lighter and sound better. these are industry standard personal practice amps. again, if you are gigging you will need some sound reinforcement, but I would find a way myself, it's just not that hard to figure out. it's never fed back at me once and I'm jamming right infant of the cab on me desk. no surprise loud feedback sounds like other amps. small, light goes anywhere. probably need that case if you travel a lot. metal, country, hard rock, pop, blues jazz, hip hop, it nails it. the 30 could drive your current big amp. whatever magic is going on with the sound, full gain w guitar at full gain, is something that has to be heard not seen.J

Upgraded from the original cream colored THR10 after finding out that all three of the original THR10 amps (boutique, classic, and high gain) were consolidated in one amp and that the speakers underwent an upgrade (10W->20W). Sonically, the tones in this amp are superior to those of the original THR10, which makes practicing and playing very satisfying and inspiring. Note: Boutique and high gain amps can only be accessed through the desktop or mobile THR remote app. This isn't the case with the larger THR30 amp. All amp models can be access through the unit. The remote app also allows the user to change cabinets to further tweak tone. Here is why I rated this product 4 stars. * Mobile THR remote app crashes all the time. I've been using the remote app on my laptop exclusively. Yamaha rep informed me that this tends to be the case with iPhone users. Doesn't seem like they plan on fixing this anytime soon. * Setting the unit up as an audio interface was not clear at all. The original THR amps required downloading the yamaha steinberg usb driver and selecting this as your driver in your DAW. After configuring your MIDI and audio source in the DAW, you would then get sound. Well, that's not how it works on this amp. I reached out to yamaha after repeatedly getting errors from my DAW about the yamaha steinberg usb driver. Long story short, tech service couldn't figure out the issue and told me to request an exchange for a new unit at GC. After hooking up the new replacement, I got the same error. Turns out you have to download the ASIO THR10ii/30 driver on yamaha's site, not the most current yamaha steinberg usb driver. Select this driver in your DAW. Then you have to go into the app's settings and check the box for "record dry." Now you can configure your MIDI and audio source. I'm baffled about how yamaha's own techs did not know that the steinberg usb driver is not compatible with the THR10ii/30 amp.Ben G.

Unbelievable. This is NOT my Vox AC30, and nor is it my 100W Katana. However, for a package that is powered by batteries and can, quite literally, fit into the palm of your hand, the Katana Mini is simply fantastic. The amp models are brilliant and the delay (reverb) function is an excellent feature. On "clean" settings the volume of the amp is perfectly adequate and will fill a room with no issues, and on the "crunch" and "brown" settings, the amp was more than loud enough to fill a large room at 2/3 volume. Whilst I personally think that this is not quite enough for an advanced/intermediate players sole amplifier, I would completely agree that for a beginner, they would need no more than this. Having tried options from Yamaha and other brands, this is firmly my favourite battery powered micro amplifier for any level of guitarist and equipment, the tone is simply that good! The best way I can describe it is this – when I first plugged my PRS McCarty 594 into it, I was vaguely aware that I wasn't playing through my Vox. However, after five minutes or so, I had completely forgotten this wasn't a "real" amp, and had to keep looking down at the tiny box on the floor to believe it! Well done, Boss!Mr I. F.

I use it primarily as a practice amp at lower levels, but I'd feel confident doing coffee house gigs with it, and maybe smaller clubs too. It sounds warm and rich at low volumes, and the EQ is effective. All three voices are useful and I'm not left wanting. I have to make special mention of the delay. I adore reverb (including and especially spring reverb and gritty, trashy reverb of all kinds) but a simple delay circuit is way more useful in this amp. Doubling, slapback, echoes. The treble roll-off and fixed feedback are well-tuned. If you're using this for busking or other guerilla performance, you will suddenly realize that a single delay is worth more than a thousand reflections, because those reflections sound godawful* against naturally-occurring surfaces. *maybe awesome in a sound design way thoughChesterfleet

Before I review, I would like to say I am reviewing this product from a perspective as a gigging instrumental acoustic guitarist. Had to do an outdoor gig with no electric outlets available, that's when i looked into buying this thing, and it did the trick. Also had to fly somewhere across the country to do a gig where the venue didn't have a PA system, and I was able to pack this in my luggage, and this little thing did the job. For a tiny amp only a bit bigger than a Kleanax box, this thing is plenty loud. It's able to emmenate the volume to within about a 500 square feet coverage. Even louder if you play a distored electric guitar, as electric gutiar pickups don't consume as much power as an acoustic pickup. This is the perfect amp if you travel alot and need to fit something on the plane, for your living room, as a practice amp, for porch picking, camping, small coffeehouse venues (under 500 square feet), busking, or any scenario where there's no electric outlet nearby. Granted, this small little thing will not replace a PA system or something like an Acoustasonic Jr. I do a weekly coffeehouse gig (about 500 square feet) with my Fender Acoustasonic JR, and one day, my Acoustasonic JR wasn't working, so I brought in this little Roland instead. Granted, it was loud enough to fill up the whole entire coffeehouse volumewise, and although I much prefer to gig with this as it's super lightweight and won't hurt my back like the Acoustasonic JR, the sound didn't have the full definition as the Acoustasonic JR, or a real PA. Because of the tiny speakers, you only get treble, no bass response, less definition overall. However, as a portable battery-powered amp, this thing is awesome. It also serves mutiple purposes, I regularily plug my ipod to this and use it as a home stero system in my room.sman-eNpbJ

Bought the Roland MC over 10 years ago. I still own it and thought a review might help someone shopping for an amp. In my opinion, the Roland MC is a great solo or small group, highly portable, extremely low watt, practice session amp. For electric guitar, it sounds great clean with a tough of reverb, but don't expect much bass or volume. IMO, the Overdrive setting is just OK, and the Distortion/Fuzz is terrible. Before I forget, buy the AC power adaptor as battery life is very limited, especially at anything but the lowest volume settings. For the built-in effects, the chorus button works fine for the simplest applications, along with the somewhat adjustable delay, but there are lots of limitations. Consider them a nice "toy" feature of the amp, nothing more. As a PA, I found the Roland MC very useful, and used it for years with my acoustic-based, rock band as a single mike PA during our quieter practice sessions. It provided just enough amplification for lead vocals to cut through 2 guitars and an electric bass playing at low to medium practice volume levels. However, as soon as we added a drummer, it was over for the little MC. As far as battery use, I font recommend it. I tried it once on Halloween dressed as Brett Michaels playing "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" on acoustic-electric. Terrible performance. People started singing along and a friend turned up the volume…the amp had no dynamic range and actually get LESS loud the harder I strummed the guitar. The ultra low wattage of the amp severely limits its usefulness in performance scenarios. My son took the amp to college and he uses it in his dorm room where noise levels must be kept low but prefers practicing with a Scarlett USB interface and headphones and is looking for an amp with more power. OK, I purchased this amp because of it's DC power, mic and instrument channels and small size. I'll use it for busking or jamming, anywhere I want without thinking about an AC outlet. I did purchase the AC adapter which came in very handy initially, given the batteries it came with were so weak the amp would not work properly. At first I thought the amp was malfunctioning. Strange things happen when battery juice is low. In my case there was sound break up, like there was short or bad connection. With AC power or a fresh set of batteries, it works well. If small and portable is your thing and you want mic and instrument inputs, this might be just what you are looking for. I've sure had fun with mine. So far, good. As I said in the review above, don't expect a really full sound with low end bass. All things considered, if you do not need the DC power option, I would see no reason to purchase this amp.More harmonica, please

As a working keyboardist, I’d been using a Behringer that was very powerful, very heavy and 4 channel. I wanted a second amp and really didn’t need the onboard effects, as I have a Jupiter X with its own effects, as well as Boss vocal effects. Oh and I love Roland. These are pricey, to say the least, as all of their amps are, and I wanted 2, however… the sound and build quality is super fantastic and I will most likely have the pair, as well as my Jupiter X, for the rest of my semi-pro side hustle days.Michael S.

I have the Roland KC-550 which is pretty awesome for our live gigs, but pretty miserable to tote back and forth to practices. I finally broke down and got the KC-200 for practices, home and small gigs, and I am very pleased at the tone and power of this amp! The Roland KC 400 is my first keyboard amp which I'm using with my new Yamaha YC61. As well as producing more volume than the Yamaha PA I've been using in my music room, the KC 400 has more bass and increased clarity in the trebles. I have owned one of the K900FX amps for several years now and have had no problems with it so far. People tend to buy these amps to use a portable PAs because of the XlR Connection. These are Keyboard amps and do not have the same preamp structure of an guitar amp.Unless you have some kind of preamp for the guitar, it will not be loud enough. Also,I have used this with my band and it seems to have a good amount of volume to it. I would think that this would be loud enough for most small to medium venues. A trick I use is to elevate the amp to close to ear level so you can hear yourself and use the output to run to your PA. This amp has 3 inputs one of which has the XLR connection. 5 band EQ and a Decent FX section. It has a sub out for connecting a bass amp to extend your bottom as well as other features that many other keyboard amps do not. overall, it's like I've heard from a lot of users of behringer products," If it doesn't blow up right out of the box, you may have a good one." I've have both experiences with Behringer. I believe their quality control is not as good as say fender, peavey or others. They want to replace a bad unit rather than repairing. But all in all, I've been very satisfied. Behringer dealers will replace their products for a period of one year. Being that is the case, You may want to add the extra warranty to the purchase price. These amps really do sound good and they are worth the risks one takes when purchasing. A REMINDER to those who trash this amp because it's not loud enough when a guitar is played through it, It wasn't meant for guitar, it was meant for Keyboards. I played through this amp with the battery and with the AC adaptor, and with multiple guitars. Switched from clean to dirty and used my bridge and neck pickups with and without the coil tap. This amp isn't super loud at 5W, but it is an amp made for portability and practicing. Sounds awesome clean with the neck pickup single coil, and gets nasty dirty (a little too much with gain set anything past 6)with my bridge double humbucker. The sound is really quite good for this size amp. The tone control has a decent range of sounds to switch between. I was out on my deck last night playing through this thing and the sound and portability reassured me I made a great purchase. Definitely would buy again.Ace McCloud

This little five watt amp has the heart of a Lion. Clean channel is from crisp and articulate to warm and wrap it up in a sweater goodness. The drive channel with the greater level of tone control can be any sound you want, truly. It's up to you. I drive this amp through a close backed cabinet of my own design made with plank spruce and 8" Jensen Mod 35 speakers. It sounds amazing. Rich full tone and great response to picking level (hit it hard and it'll bark at you. Soft and it will whisper too.) It also has digital reverb which for me coming from spring will take a little getting used to. Overall a great addition to anyone's arsenal of amps.codboy61

I bought this strictly for my bedroom but found it's much more. It gets loud enough for band practice on the dirty channel and the clean with the volume up gets a nice breakup. It handles pedals well in the loop or an overdrive out front. I don't care for the morph when it's fully left or right on the dirty channel but you get nice tones on the clean side. The attenuator is the reason I bought it and I love it. I A/B'd it with the ht5 and couldn't see spending the extra cash on the Blackstar. Then I A/B'd with my modded dsl15h on triode (7 watt) and it made me wonder how much of the signal is tube and how much is solid state, but I don't know if that's fair given the Marshall has 4 12ax7 and 2 6v6 tubes. Can't speak to durability yet but it seems well built, and I haven't used the emulated out. All in all I'd recommend it for the price and the featuresgbob61

Make that retired musician. Tired of lugging around my one ton big Peavey to the smaller gigs I now do, I opted for this smaller version. The day I received it I used it on a luncheon gig and was pleasantly surprised at the sound and volume. The other guys were equally amazed at the great sound that came out of such a little box. I borrowed this amp when mine was in the shop. I scratched it up so I bought the thing. It's way too bottom heavey and muddy for piano. The "horn" just doesn't have the clarity you need. The wheels that come with it do not hold up. Buy a dolly. The handle is awkward and cheap. Get the Roland instead.Buzz

The Ac-10not only looks the business but it has since real depth and warmth to its tone. Clean – it’s bright and has the chime you’d expect. Turn up the gain and your tone breaks up but still retains clarity. Having the gain wide open and master volume down means you can still have the saturated crunch but not disturb others . Perfect for home use but would not be out of place in a small pub gig. Takes pedals will and with a multi-fix like a GT 100, if you disable the amp sim and use like a conventional pedal board, you don’t lose any quality of the AC10’s natural tone. A masterful amp and it even smells nice with those tubes cooking.Mark R.

Ive been playing 35 years and this is probably the best all around practice amp ive ever heard. Pros- looks great, sounds very good, cleans thump and chime, distortion can wail. Its loud for its size. Seems built well. Have had no bad issues. Cons- clean isnt near as loud as w the gain cranked up. No reverb. In short if this amp was 50-100W and had reverb and an external speaker jack id never play another amp. Good job VOX.jjsrvfan

Just picked one of these and it's been a joy to play. Pretty easy to use with quite a few options. Was able to dial in some tones that sound like my $800-1k tube amps. Honestly this amp is the best bang for your buck amp available imo. I really love the Waza Craft Greenback speaker. I love the .5, 50,100 watt options. Haven't even explored the software yet but I'm confident enough in this amp to give it a 5 star already. This of course is keeping in mind the fact it's essentially a budget amp price. Sound: Right out of the box? I didn’t even adjust EQs. Set volume and gain, and started playing. Took 0 effort to get 98% of the way to my live tone that is an Orange Rockerverb 100W MK2 and Marshall 212 with V30s. Features: I love the Tone Studio. I did have to pull a star from Ease Of Use because it may be confusing if you’re not good with computers. Ease of Use: If you can’t get a good sound out of this amp, return it, sell your guitars, and find a new hobby. That’s how easy getting a good sound out of this is. Quality: Seems pretty decent. I wouldn’t call it robust, but it doesn’t FEEL as cheap as the price would suggest. Value: 100% worth the price. I’d have paid $100 more for it if I’d have known how good it would sound. Manufacturer Support: I’ve dealt with Roland/Boss in the past, and they’ve always been wonderful. The Wow Factor: Looks good, sounds good, price is good. A perfect practice amp, that could stand in for a small venue in a pinch. Naturally my live rig is a bit much for my apartment, but this is just what the doctor ordered. Overall: Solid state amps have come a long way. A REALLY long way. I’ll be honest, being a tube snob, I had very low expectations. I could have set the bar in the same area as I would a $2,000 and it still would have hopped it effortlessly.Kenny

Some Reviewers of the Roland KC-220 have rightly stated that the volume required in some circumstances is less than optimal, particularly during battery operation. My solution was to buy two KC-220s. The additional benefit of wider stereo separation is achieved using each as a monaural output. And BTW a firm in Japan sells the 8 AA BATTERY cases, for the KC-110 which I found works with the KC-220.dogbyt

This is my first keyboard amp and only had it a few days, so far I believe I made the right choice, as others said it’s not particularly loud volume wise but seems to sound good as is ideal for at home use (which is what I purchased it for) and fits perfectly for my two Yamaha Reface YC (organ) and CP (electric piano) and all three have the option of both running on batteries (when required) and in stereo, although I’ve yet to try that. Furthermore it has the option to mount onto a speaker floor stand and optional foot pedal to operate the effects “chorus and reverb” and with those I’m hoping it will double as an electro acoustic guitar amp. Thanks GAK for suggesting this over the KC80 I believe you were right to direct me to this model. Also it’s smaller than I thoughtbso doesn’t take up loads of space.James D. W.

Small & light, battery powered when needed, it's perfect for busking, practice, recording and acoustic-based jamming. I just received mine, plugged in and was TRULY GLAD that I bought it. I had been using the Micro Cube – which I also love – and got this one because it's stereo, more powerful and still maintains that crystal clear Roland sound, which I like for my acoustic. It's called a "keyboard" amp, but it works GREAT for both acoustic and jazz guitar. Being a Roland product, my expectations were high. I bought this amp to have a small, cheap portable amp to play harmonica through. For that, it is decent enough. I use a Shure bullet mic and the amp produces good enough tone and is plenty loud for practice or small gigs. When I plug my tele into it the clean channel is decent and clear, but the overdrive channel is junk and hurts my ears. I would rather run the clean channel and use a fuzz or distortion pedal. So that being said it is decent enough to practice licks on and it is tiny so it tucks away easy. If you look around you can find a bigger amp with more features used for the same price but if you want a new amp, this one is probably worth what they charge for it. I would only buy it if you have a specific purpose for it though.Roy

It's small, and pretty portable. However, the sound quality is trash, given the speaker is tiny, but the overdrive is just horrible. If you buy this, try returning it. If you can't return it, just get a fuzz pedal and leave it on clean. Imo, just buy the mustang lt25-50Hotdog Games

This amp is truly one of the classics! I have been using a JC-120 since the 80's! It is a very musical amp and good for any type of music. That is a statement of why is has been around for a very long time. I have read some of the other reviews about how noisy this amp can be. This is true but get a noise gate or use the othe rchannel that is without the chorus. For people who love heavy metal two words Boss Wazsa Ds-1 X and OD-1X will get you that Marshal Sound. For Blues players Sd-1X , OD-1X or Boss driver 2. This amp is designed to be used with effects and that is what makes it so versatile.Hank

Words are pretty meek in describing this amp. The best clean sound anywhere. Huge tonal presence bass is gigantic but not boomy just powerful and clear and that's with all tone controls at 12 noon. There's so much room to tweak. And then the chorus channel un-real sound of acoustic chorus. It's a trademark sound instantly recognized. No pedal can give you this chorus sound. It's a tank super build quality has not changed since the 80's and at 75 lbs you can't just grab and go but comes with casters thank goodness. I have used it with overdrive guitar a few times and it sounded unlike any other amp. It's not at all your British scooped sound. But the clean sound is why I bought this. The Roland JC 120 has one of the best clean tones I have ever heard from an amp. It sounds amazing with the built in chorus effect engaged along with reverb. One thing to know about this amp is that it is designed to be used at higher volumes. That makes it ideal for live gigs. The amp has a slight hissing sound that can be heard when it is used at bedroom-appropriate volume. However, the hissing sound is not as noticeable in louder environments like live shows. I would recommend the Roland JC 120 to musicians who are looking for an amp with a fantastic clean tone to play at gig ready volume.Pari Dark
