I purchased this guitar for my teenage son who has just started to play, so I wanted a budget guitar. The sound is really great and I'm very impressed with both the quality and aesthetics of the guitar. Delivery was efficient and within the estimated date of delivery, which having read other reviews I was expecting it to be later. The item was very well packaged and I was sent the tracking details for DHL and then for Parcelforce once the guitar had made it to the UK. I can recommend using this company based on my experience and this guitar.
Overall: I read some of these negative reviews and can't understand what they're talking about. This guitar is probably the best guitar for $200 I ever played , right out of the box it was setup perfectly. All I did was tune it , I've even got the same strings it came with. Which I normally change whenever I get a new guitar. The tuners are unbelievably tight , this guitar barely goes out of tune even if it has been sitting for weeks. Also I never attached the whammy bar , so I can't speak on that throwing it out of tune. Since I have over a dozen guitars I don't usually play it daily , but when I do it always makes me glad I purchased it. This is a very versatile guitar , I play mostly metal and this thing shreds. But I also play blues and it sounds just as good as my custom strat. I bought an Epiphone SG special in the same price range and let's just say the setup is night and day , the tuners absolutely sucked , "already replaced them" and the intonation was off. It was a mess , I've already put it on Craig's list and bought a G400 Pro instead , 10x better quality and setup , but I digress. I've got many high priced guitars but always go back to the GRX , the playability and neck feels so comfortable to play. The only thing I'm going to do eventually is throw in a Seymour Duncan humbucker and I'm definitely keeping this guitar. I don't know how Ibanez can sell this for $200 and keep the quality , but I'm certainly not going to complain. Whether you're a beginner or experienced this guitar delivers. Definitely will be purchasing another Ibanez down the road.Mike
Sound: Does not have the cleanest sound due to the picks. Putting the right pedals and effects in line and cranking up the distortion makes it an awesome beginner / intermediate metal guitar. Features: For the price the materials feel great. Ease of Use: It sounds great on my Fender Champion 20 or Positive Grid Spark amp. Not the cleanest tone but a great metal sound and extremely easy to play. Quality: It feels made well, especially in the $200 range. I feel like this is one I'll have for years and once I get better definitely see this is a good platform for future mods. Value: This guitar is excellent value and at this price an amazing guitar. Manufacturer Support: I have not dealt with Ibanez. The Wow Factor: I must admit the aesthetic. It's extremely hard to find good looking purple color-based guitars. If I could dream up what I want a guitar to look like this is it. It helps that its quality is awesome. Overall: I love this guitar. Purple is my favorite color and a hard one to find good guitars in. It looks great. It feels great and I have yet to find any significant issues with it. No problems with the frets or fret buzz. Action is easy and low. It sounds great with my Positive Grid Spark amp. The pickups sound great. The HSH setup is very versatile. Not the greatest with clean tones like my Stratocaster, but amazing with the right effects.Josh

It's an Ibanez. I am a long time Ibanez fan. Even when they started the Artcore series. I own for PRS CU24's; American Fender Strat Deluxe and Tele; Les Paul elegant and Explorer. Except when I'm playing with our group I'm usually on one of my Ibanez. If they are lower end units like this I expect to change the electronics, nut and tuners. I did the tuners and had planned on installing Seth Lovers. Mean while I put some A4 magnets in the pickups and… NO SETH LOVERS! I love the tone, the responsiveness/sensitivity. See can be smooth as silk with the volume back or nice and crunchy @ 10. Pinch harmonics reach out and grab you in a nice way. Other than the tuning pegs, nut and strap locks she'll stay this way for at least a while. I got her for the color (I'm not into green guitars or fade finishes but she caught my eye for some reason) and what a friend "the Pickle" has become.Mondron
If you want a good looking semi-hollow body guitar that plays and sounds OK, this is probably the best value for money guitar out there. You still get what you pay for, but i think Ibanez has found a good balance in that regard. Craftsmanship : It looks amazing and sounds great for such a cheap guitar. Of course there are some features that could be better, but none of these really affect the looks, playability or sound of the guitar. Sound : the pickups are a little hot and punchy for me, but for a pair of cheap pickups they sound pretty good. They give plenty of output for a good fuzzy sound but also sound reasonably good clean. This guitar can handle a solid rock sound and a decent clean sound as well. A little bright maybe, but you have the individual tone controls to remedy that if you wanted to. Plenty of sustain too. Neck : If you're coming from a Fender electric guitar it could take a little getting used to the smaller scale length, the bigger radius of the fretboard and the smaller string spacing. But nothing dramatic. I would think this is the perfect beginner guitar for those reasons. The neck profile feels good to me. All in all a great guitar for the money.
This is an extremely nice guitar, especially for the price. Great action, set-up, and play-ability straight out the box. Humbucker pickups are nice and warm, giving a nice "dark" tone to the guitar (strong bass and mid-tones) to my ears. Good variation of range of tone from the bridge and neck pickups and so is quite versatile. Lovely overtones/ harmonics going through a Blues Driver into an Orange Micro Terror — you can rock with this! — and the guitar combined well with a Roland Jazz Chorus 22 cancelling out some of the brightness of this amp. Quality of components and finish is very good. It's also a light guitar in terms of weight, so it's a practical instrument to play on stage, especially if you have a long gig — and are starting to get on a bit, like me. Of course, it's green, which might put people off, I guess… Then again, it's very eye catching and people won't miss it on stage! In summary, a great guitar at a great price that provides a different blues or jazz tone in addition to your other instruments.Damian F.

I sat down with the Ibanez AF75 at Guitar Center for over 3hrs. I had traded in a guitar and wanted a jazz/blues machine. I had come in with the Ibanez in mind, but also I had my eye on the Epiphone Wildkat, and the Epiphone Dot. I liked the tone of each, but I kept coming back to the Ibanez. Overall, the build on the Wildkat was poor; it couldn't stay in tune even without using the tremolo. I have owned several Dots over the years and had the same problem with each, the necks broke when adjusted, not by myself, but by 3 different luthiers. The Ibanez just has this warmth to it. Unplugged it sounds like every other semi hollow, maybe a bit tinnier, but plugged in, it just sings. This is perfect for blues/jazz/rock/ or in my case, being in the worship band at church. Do yourself a favor, go to Guitar Center, tune one up, and sit with it for 15min on your favorite amp, just a little overdrive and some reverb, and you will see exactly what I mean. Fantastic instrument. Unbelievable price for this quality. Mine stays in tune like a champ. Minor adjustments every few days. Can't believe it.Davetheworshipguy
Overall: I just got this 3/27/2018, after my Gretsch Streamliner was stolen by a FedEx driver a week earlier and marked it as it was delivered and it was not. but when I followed up a couple days later. I was told by a zZounds customer service rep, that the driver told them he had lost it? So I bought this Ibanez and it is indeed blemished at the neck pocket, just a hair line crack in the finish not the support foundation. the guitar has a very nice acoustic tone and the pickups sound good as well. I recommend prepping the neck nut and the intonation bridge or your strings will not slide smoothly and will hang up and you will be out of tune. the electronics meaning the volume/tone, Input jack and 3way toggle are very cheap but work with a little noise when turning the controls. being in the wholesale / retail business zZounds is paying less than half what it is being sold for in most cases. buy it blemished and save a few dollars…it is a good instrument, plays well and sounds good and I will take it to my next Jazz gig.Chuck
I bought a used (maybe five years old) model of this guitar. Changed the strings and that was that. Can a used Chinese made guitar become a favorite? Yes it can. Yes it has. The construction and finish details on this guitar are at a level of the best American Fenders I have played. Vastly superior to the recent Gibson's, which are, in my view, a disgrace. Set up properly this guitar is very comfortable with no issues such as bridge, nut or tailpiece problems. I am truly amazed. The pickups are not great but with proper amp EQ it will make some very warm music for you.jazznotes

Sound: The stock pickups sound great especially with high gain. Nice crunch and break up. Features: For me the reason that I bought this model is that it is the least expensive way to get a real Edge tremolo. I can do subtle things with the Edge that I can’t do on an Original Floyd Rose. The bar is easier to position and it stays where ever you put it. As long as the torsion bushings on the bar aren’t worn out, the pop in bar is neither too tight or too sloppy. Value: This guitar is worth every penny. Manufacturer Support: I did not use Ibanez customer service and I did order half a dozen sets of torsion bushings, but had to order them from different places. The Wow Factor: I love the color of this one, Desert Sun Yellow. Overall: In the last 2 months I’ve bought 5 different Ibanez guitars, both lower and higher price. I must say that this guitar is the most bang for the buck out of any of my 21 guitars that I own.Got more than 200 bucks off on mine as it was sold as a slight blemish. When the guitar arrived, I noticed it did have a hairline crack in the paint on the bass side at the neck pocket. That was the only flaw I could find and it probably would have happened anyway if I would have got a “new” one.This is the shreddiest guitar that I have. The only thing that I had to address is that the 6th fret was a little proud. Other than that the fret job was good. All the frets were shiny and smooth and no fret sprout.This is the guitar that is at the price point where if you spend more money, you aren’t going to get much better. Overall: This guitar was a total impulse buy and I’m so glad I bought it! It’s easily worth twice the price of it. Can’t get too many mid tier guitars that are neck thru with decent pickups and a 5-way switch that has a fast and slim neck at this price. I mostly play baritone 6 strings and 7 strings but I needed a 25.5” scale for drop C and this is perfect for it with 10-54 strings. I did upgrade the nut with a Graphtech tusq nut and Hipshot locking tuners with knurled tuner buttons and looks even more badass while staying in perfect tune! I have an Ibanez rgib6 Iron Label 28” baritone and this is up there with that as far as quality and playability. The stock pickups aren’t bad at all and definitely surprised me cuz that’s usually the first thing I’ll change in an inexpensive guitar. As you can see by the other reviews people say it’s a great guitar and they’re not lying so if you’re on the fence about getting it then go for it! You won’t be disappointed at all and if for some reason you are then zZounds has a return policy within like 30-45 days so you won’t be stuck with a guitar you don’t love.Josh
Overall: I have been playing the epiphone les paul std for two and half years now,and started looking at semi hollows around five months ago! I did some research looked at reviews and then bought the am93 ays almost four months ago,and just love it! The body is bigger and its lighter then the les paul ,it rests real nice on the lap no strap is neaded.Pickups and tunners excellent !! I would say the neck shape is a (c ) standard! Not thin like a jackson or wizard 3 neck! With the string action low feels and plays very nice!! Flawless machine ! Overall: I have never purchased a guitar online but my have things changed. My Son ordered an Ibanez AS7312 as a gift for me. I unboxed it and it was stunning and I am particular. I looked high and low for a flaw but found none. I checked the neck relief, it was perfect, fret rocker, perfect – fret sprout, none, it was tuned 1/2 step down and the intonation was as close as you could with 6 saddles on a 12 string guitar. Then I plugged it in and I remembered why I missed my old 12 string so much. All I can say is great job Ibanez and great job zZounds.Stan
I have owned my Ibanez Artcore AS7312 for about a year now, and I will say it is one of the best guitars I own…..and I own many. I was looking for an electric 12 string without the price tag of a Rickenbacker. Even though I looked at this Ibanez many times, it took me a while to order it because I was trying to decide if on a semi hollow body design that the jangly, cutting thru sound that I was looking for would be there. When the guitar came in and I plugged it into my Fender Twin I could not have been happier. The sound continues to amaze me even after a year of hearing it. I don't think I realized at the time I ordered it that it had a solid maple block that the pickups were mounted into much less realize what a difference in the sound, and sustain that this would make. The solid center block, and the back and sides are all maple. The block gives the guitar bite and sustain, while the maple back and sides tends to project with a more brighter sound…….perfect for a great 12 string sound….at least to me anyway. I should have known Ibanez would know what they were doing, but I guess I more equate Ibanez with solid body guitars so it took me a while to order it. I equally enjoy just putting on 6 strings and playing it that way too. I have a '64 ES-335 but I actually like the sound to this guitar better probably because it sounds more like a solid body and that is mostly what I play. It was a little hard pressing down 12 strings until I read that a lot of players tune down a whole step and then capo back up to the 2nd fret. This made all this difference and was then easy to play. This guitar has a great action, great tone, and is pure elegance and eye candy on stage, lol If you're looking for a great 12 string electric at a decent price I would highly recommend this guitar.kareydunn1805
First of all the AR420 is a beautiful looking guitar with the abalone giving just a perfect amount of bling. The setup and action were great out of the box. The pickups are pretty good sounding alnicos and the tritone switching on each pickup give a wide variety of tones. The parallel sounds are a great alternative to the full humbucker and aren’t as thin as the split coils. The neck is very comfortable, fret ends are well finished and the hardware all seems fine. I find it very nice to play and easy to get the sounds I want. Design-wise the shape gives very good access to the upper frets but that also leads to the primary drawbacks, neither of which is an enormous issue for me but just annoying. Firstly the guitar is neck heavy so it does want to dive and secondly the pickup selector switch is directly above the neck pickup as it had to be brought forward towards the bridge due to the cutaway. That does make it susceptible to being knocked while playing with a resultant pickup selection change. Overall I am very happy with this guitar.Andrew C.

AMH90 is a small hollow body electric guitar. It does not have a solid block running through the centre of the body like Gibson ES 335. There is some support at the bridge and both pickups, which can be seen through the F holes. Acoustically it has more natural echo/reverb than a semi hollow body. It has two Super 58 humbuckers and the neck pick up has additional 3 position switch. I mostly play through software simulator and I get a lot of different sounds with different pickup selections, and with playing with a pick or fingers in different positions. The guitar has a good range from nice clean tones to strong distorted sounds. The guitar has a tail piece, but the bridge is fixed on the body. I usually remove pickguards, but I am going to keep it on this guitar. My guitar is in glossy black finish. It has a minimal design with golden hardware, black volume and tone controls, minimal bindings, and dot fret markers. The guitar came with new strings with a decent setup, but without a bag or a case. I am happy with the guitar and also with PMT customer service.Mitja K.

This is my first Ibanez artcore guitar. I'd been looking for a semi-hollow and saw this (I got the red one) and liked the looks, although I'm not a fan of gold hardware. I'd always heard that the Artcore series had thin necks (per Ibanez's shredder pedigree), and that's not really my thing, but I decided to give it a go (didn't buy it from MF). This guitar is a pleasant surprise in many ways. First – the neck is fantastic – I would call it a fairly deep C, not skinny at all, and it's a blast to play – a nice, chunky profile that is super comfortable (YMMV). I'm normally a single coil guy (my favorite guitar is a USA G&L Legacy; teles, Jazzmasters, P90s, etc) but I really like the sound of these humbuckers. They're more mid-rangey than dark, and have plenty of presence to them. The tri-tone switch is interesting – you can coil split or run the neck pup in series or parallel – all of the tones are useful, but I like full humbucker mode the best (I play clean to semi-dirty, mostly). Fit & finish is very good. Neck & body binding and overall cosmetics are excellent. The fret work is very good, but the fret ends are a little rough. Not awful, just a little rough. Just on that detail alone you won't mistake this for a more expensive guitar. However, having said that, the frets themselves are fine – no high or low frets, no buzzes – it plays great all the way up the neck. The satin finish looks great and it makes the back of the neck nice and smooth. I love it. Overall: I have been playing guitar for over 50 years. In that time I have had many guitars from Gibsons to Fenders and Prs. Now I'm not going to say that this Ibanez is better than those top end guitars but what I will say is that for the money you are not going to find this kind of value.I bought this as a backup to my Music Man Axis sub guitar. That guitar is another great value for the money. You don't have to spend a lot of money these days to get a quality guitar. Well now the AZ 31 has become my main axe. The sounds are so good and the frets being level and smooth. This makes the action and playability as good as any guitar that I have ever owned. The neck and bridge positions do sound like humbuckers and no noise or hum. I was totally blown away. Positions 2 and 4 sound just like a high quality Fender Strat. The middle position with the switch on sounds like a Tele. The vermillion red is just stunnin too. You have to try this one before they sell out again.Frank

The electrics on this guitar are the key difference, the pickups are very articulate and for high gain with control they are superb. The trem is weightless and wonderful to use, The neck is more profiled than I expected, nowhere near as flat as the Vai models like PIA, but I’m finding it very quick and more complex runs are coming more easily than usual. The sustainiac mode is a bit nuts, unless you really want to be satriani I’m not sure how often you’d use it but it’s a lot of fun; hit a squeally harmonic then listen to it sustain for months. Overall everything about this guitar is pure quality but it’s the overdriven tone and the solo friendly Mids that are the highlight.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

While I was waiting for this guitar to arrive, I kept reading the many reviews about this guitar on the internet. While they were almost all positive, a tiny few people complained about little flaws in the fit and finish of this guitar. I figured that in the the worst case scenario I could send it back and upgrade to an AM 153 if the AM 93 wasn't satisfactory. Upon receiving the guitar I inspected it top to bottom. It was basically flawless. The binding looks perfect, no chips or voids. The neck was very comfortable and the frets were nicely dressed. The guitar was beautiful. The AM 93 sounds great with these pick ups and I knew right away that this was a keeper. I bought this initially to set up as a smaller bodied "jazz box" with heavier gauge flatwound strings. My "problem" now is that it sounds so good for blues/ rock with the lighter gauge strings that I might need another guitar to set up with the flatwounds! Eventually, I will probably change the tuning keys. These hold tune fine but a sweet guitar like this deserves silky smooth top of the line tuners. This is the 23rd guitar in my collection, and I am blown away by what the Chinese are able to accomplish in 2017. In the past Chinese guitars suffered the same reputation as Japan's earliest efforts. Just like Japan, they have made a determined effort to become a world class builder of electric guitars. They've succeeded. The quality, fit and finish of this guitar is outstanding, and I have paid twice as much for new American made guitars and received much lower quality in the last 10 years. The pickups are especially noteworthy. I almost always upgrade my humbucker pickups to a major manufacturer's " '59 " model for tone and reliability. The reliability of these pickups remains to be seen, since it usually takes years of sweat and vibration to judge the toughness of a set of pickups, but the tone is all there. The tone is comparable to ones that came out of Michigan in the late 50's and early 60's… snappy, plenty of treble and "bite", harmonic overtones that bloom nicely when overdriven. These are less likely to feedback, which is not a plus if you like to use feedback to increase sustain (ala Santata or EVH). It's my feeling that having a decreased tendency to feedback is sort of a plus in a semi hollow guitar. They can get a little unruly at stage volumes. The only possible downsides to this guitar are that the gold plating on the hardware looks a little cheap, and I would not be surprised if it wore off to the underlying brass and aluminum the way "gold" hardware on Asian guitars has a way of doing. Another possible issue for long term quality is that the beautiful quilt maple seems to be a paper thin veneer. On a more expensive instrument, even USA made ones, the maple portions of semi hollow guitars are laminated. This actually leads to a stronger, more resonant instrument that stands the test of time. Since we can't tell what's under this veneer, it raises the long term reliability question. The tone sounds right!Jay38063
The CURRENT version, as sold by a competitor, has an ebony fingerboard and tortoiseshell pickguard. After half a dozen emails with the Hoshino folks (Ibanez America) I found out that my guitar was manufactured in Indonesia. The Super 58 pickups are also manufactured in Indonesia. They no longer make the rosewood fingerboard version because of legal/environmental issues. As well, you cannot get a black pickguard with binding, even from Hoshino, because they are sold only in EU and Sino countries, not in U.S. The nut chipped on the G string slot when putting on D'Addario Chrome flatwounds, 10-48. And some of the frets are not the correct height. This becomes very evident when lowering the action. I've had to file numerous frets and still get some string buzzing. I had to replace the 3-way toggle switch because it makes so much noise when flipping between pickups…so I installed the old Standby, Switchcraft. I replace the turners with Planet Wave Auto Trim Locking tuners and put the 3 ply black plastic pickguard that Hoshino sells and fits this model. It's now a very, very respectable axe and I'm getting nice, sweet, jazzy sounds from the neck pickup. Overall, it's VERY well made, it's beautiful, it sounds great.VonBach

I'm a 15 year guitar player and bought this as my first bass guitar, so I have an OK idea of what a bass should play like. The bass had a slight neck bow and some buzz on the lower frets but adjusting the truss rod took care of that. I reset the action to factory and now it plays great! I play metal so this bass is able to get me the sounds I need. I really like the feel of the neck for someone with small hands. The action can be set pretty low but youll run into some buzz if you go too low. I'm happy with the purchase. It does not come with a case so that needs to be purchased seperately.MICHEAL
Its a truly solid bass for the money that offers alot more variety than your typical model. I personally had a little quality issue but Ibanez was fast to provide a replacement part for no cost under warranty. For those that like a light, slim body it fits perfectly and doesnt weigh you down like a precision or jazz can after a few hours of jammin. If your looking for a more modern sound with some edge to it, you've found your bass. It excells at metal, punk, ska and rock but those looking for a more mellow bluesy sound might not find what they're looking for. I've owned this bass now for a little over a year, recieved it Dec 2010, and feel now is a fair time to give it an honest review. It's a real gem of a bass. For the price you get far more than you would expect and it's gorgous on the eyes. As for features, its pretty loaded. The active EQ offers a very nice range of styles, its light as a feather compared to a typical fender and has probably the slimmest most comofortable necks I've played nex to a Geddy lee sig. One thing that would have been nice would have been an active/passive switch for those dreadful times when your battery kicks the bucket, but to be honest in the year I've owned this bass I never once had to replace the battery, and I play at least an hour a day. For a bass on the smaller side, it still feels very solid. The mahogany body is very nicely crafted and the neck is smooth and easy to navigate. Sadly my bass did have one quality control problem. The bridge pickup's magnets must have been defective since they barely picked up my A no matter how many times I changed sets or adjusted the setup. But no worry, because the one year warranty through Ibanez they simply sent to my local music shop a replacement pickup and with a quick soddering job my bass was playing at full power. For the price, you really cant find a better bass with these kind of features. Fender mexican models aren't bad, I own a jazz myself, but it was just a tad more and doesnt nearly have the tone this baby cranks out. The Bartolini pickups come standard so its practically a steal.
I've been playing since early 80's and have owned many basses. While not the best, it is right there at the top. The hardware is solid. I've not had issues with anything. The sounds is quite versatile. With the active eq., you can make it sound thick, like a Warwick, or ring like P-bass. The feel is very lite, but also solid…from good quality. Everything about it is tight and solid. The sustain is surprisingly good despite the lite weight. Playing this bass is possibly the best I've played. It is easy and smooth. The satin finished neck is fast and comfortable. The controls are smooth and easy to reach. The 3 tone controls each provide good range. Overall this is a very good bass that does about everything very well. It is much better that P/J basses I've had…not as good as my P.K. Factor.Zrider

Overall: I've had this GB10SE for about a week now. Purchased a blemished model to save a few bucks.When it came, (in one day, thank you), it rattled when moved. I thought it was the wiring banging around. But, turned out to be the pickguard bracket epoxy had broken free of the guard . Drop of epoxy and no rattle. There was a gouge about the size of a half dollar on the back, which on further inspection was some dried goo that wiped off completely with a wet towel… The bridge intonation was out about a quarter inch, but since the factory sheet off foam was still under it, it had to be removed and reset anyway… And the truss rod was a quarter turn tight making the first two frets buzz..The entire "FIX" took about four minutes total… I have since tried to figure out why it was considered blemished at all. Looks great. Sounds great. . Not pretending it sounds like an expensive jazz box. But, it isn't. It does sound MUCH better than the GB30 I had years ago.. The top not having the pickups attached or the holes gives it much more resonance. And same with the bone/brass nut… I'd have given it and the service 5stars if it wasn't for the fact that it seems like no tech touched or tried to fix such minor issues before the sale..
What an awesome guitar. If you love jazz then this is the guitar you've been looking for. The floating pickups, the flat wound strings, the light body and the fretboard design all combine to produce that crystal clear jazz tone in an easy to play machine. My only (very minor) issue is the pick guard design that has an occasional squeak if pressed with the side of the hand.The General
Overall: I LOVE IT…. Tone, feel, size, strings, lookIm ready for the next higher George Benson Guitar…. A great guitarummmm the socket did come loose where you plug into the guitar. This was a 4 minute fix with some ingenuity. It was under warranty but the retail shops where hours away. I decided to fix it myself and im glad I did…. I basically tightened the screw so it wont back itself out…. its back to new… Im happy with the guitar….. they probably just didnt tighten it enough when it was build…. no complaints here.

Ibanez Prestige. You get what you paid for when it comes down to the precision of this instrument line. The fret work and overall construction of the instrument prove to be at the finest quality. The locking tuners and the nut working in tandem with the thick RG body calls for rich sustain and amazing playability. The one issue one might find with this instrument would be the Dimarzio Fusion Edge pickups. They're great pickups with medium output, great for any sort of sound and can really go in any direction with the right settings. They just dont have any apparent sound qualities compaired to some other after market pickups. If youre looking for a solid guitar with a simply stunning look, this instrument will take you to the place you want to be.George

Not as good as prestige series, not as bad as budget ibanez 🙂 Quite nice (but not perfect like prestige) build quality, good sustain, very versatile, very characteristic feeling of playing like the other Ibanez guitars and so on.. If someone said that this one is Japan made guitar – I would delete Ibanez from my list 🙂 But referring that its made in Indonesia, I would notice quite good quality. Shortly speaking I don't regret spending the money buying this guitar. So… Advantages: very good instrument for its price, good option for those, who don't want to spend over USD2 000+ for Japan made prestige models (if you buying a new one). Disadvantages: still needs revision… Indonesian guys didn't spent much time for polishing frets and shielding of electronics. Had to spend additional money for quality frets revision and buying good pickups (PAFs are one of my favourite, but there's something wrong with the stock ones).ua2014.ganz

FIRST REVIEW ON THIS GUITAR WOO-HOO Bought a mint condition return and it came without a single smudge. Its gray burst and is darker than the stock photo. In dull light you can barely see it (could be why it was returned??? just a guess). Ok down to the real stuff. This neck is AWESOME! Like a PRS thin with an Ibanez flat radius fret board. It is sleek and definitely made for tuning down. C# works very well. The neck carve is very deep. It actually starts behind the front strap button. Action is set fairly low I had some buzz and raised the bridge a little bit. The weight is similar to an ESP Eclipse. Pickups are just okay nothing spectacular. Tuners are fine for now. Input jack is recessed (which I like). Strap buttons are solid. Love the Quick Change tailpiece. Love the flip door on the truss rod cover. NO sharp frets. The nut had some sharp edges but its easy to round off with a small file. Bridge sits tight with no creaks or pops. Volume and tone knobs are rather tight but they are still new and may loosen up over time. Toggle switch could use some more resistance but does not feel like junk. Small compaints: While playing my fingers were turning black from whatever is on the rosewood. Between string changes I rubbed down the fret board with some polish and an old rag then used lemon seed oil and let it soak in a few moments before wiping the excess off. There are no jumbo frets. Really some jumbos would be great on this thing. Future: Would like to see a floating trem model and more color options. Flamed blue with silver binding would be awesome. I bought this guitar with the intention of modifying it. I'm looking at Lace Deathbucker pups, Schaller tuners,straplocks and bridge, different nut (have not decided on type), stainless jumbo frets, and upgraded pots. If you like the Eclipse or other LP styles give this one a try.Yay Spaghetti
Relieved to get a guitar w/ pickups w. a nice harmonic sound as I once owned a fine Sach Ibanez w/ terrible stock pickups ie. I was fearin' to order this guitar. . The neck was bowed to a frightening curve, but after the initial truss rod adjust my friend who owns several Fender and Gibson said "This is the straightest neck I ever saw." needs pro tuners…peoxeronase
