Seems as well built as the other options I've seen. Better tonal range than Vox and better than having to buy 2 or three devices. First impressions were not that good but as I've used it a bit more I can see me getting more used to it. I probably expected to much and was basing my hopes on the FLY amps. I think the effects are too limited to be worthwhile and would prefer Blackstar to focus on better amp tone. Still, I'm happy with it and for the type of device this is I know of nothing that sounds better. If I lost it I would probably look at the latest options but as it stands this is still the one I would buy. I think all of this type of device are over priced when you consider what a small amp costs but for portable practice in a small space it can't be beaten. Amazing bit of kit for the price! Clean, over drive and distortion channels in a small box the amps to headphones perfectly! Can’t really comment on the effects as not really tried them out! But if you need a tiny portable amp that connects to your headphone for practice i would throughly recommend! Just noticed it even has aux in so I can listen to my Fender tutors without having to have 2 different sets of headphones on the go!!! My friend bought me this for Christmas and earlier I was so happy that he did. But these headphones are actually garbage. When I first started using them, whenever there wasn't audio playing it made a high-pitched noise. I tried to get used to it, but this noise only got louder and worse. I then tried to use it for my PC and it kept disconnecting and making weird sounds whenever I changed the volume. When the headphones are connected, disconnected, or ready to pair, it says it in a robot voice from the outside of the headphones. Personally, this is very annoying and the voice is way too loud. The audio is also delayed sometimes. To conclude, these headphones are the first and last product I have gotten from JLab and I do not recommend these to anyone.Enderiac

The Lab Studio Pro does provide a good quality sound for the price. It has the virtue of NOT being a noise-cancelling headset – which means you can listen to music but still hear when someone in the room is trying to get your attention. Unfortunately, the deal-breaker for me is that the microphone quality is terrible, resulting in a muffled sound as though the speaker's mouth is covered with a towel. That means this headset is absolutely not an option for someone who needs to attend web conferences. In addition, the bluetooth pairing is much more awkward than most other wireless sets I've used. It never pairs automatically, and when I'm done using it for the day, the pairing is lost but can't be re-established until I go into System Preferences and tell the computer to forget this device. Far too many steps considering how easily other brands make the process.Ambignostic

Purchased this model several months ago to replace prior JLab headset that worked great for couple years but eventually fell apart, mechanically. Hoping for improved build quality, these have been an accelerating disappointment for other reasons. Initial experience: When used as a PC headset, others have complained of difficulty hearing me unless speaking annoyingly loud – not a deal breaker as this was not its primary usage. Current experience: What began as occasional (1x/mo) functionality issues (unable hear, control functions – resolved by disconnection/re-pairing device), recently became a regular issue (1-2x/wk). And now unable to resolve at all after hours of repeated disconnection/re-pairing, restarting headphones, restarting PC, etc. Aspects of issue similar to another review titled "Poor Driver support". Hoping to update review with positive outcome after tech support assistance or warranty replacement.JLab user

They sound great for the $20 paid, I had done some research, and I bought a small overhead band that fits the drivers, because the clips did not hold them to my ears very well. This is because I have a smaller head though. I also did a small mod to increase the longevity, as these cheap products are often designed with intentional flaws to get them to break sooner. The mod involved cutting a more direct path for the wire, and adding a hot glue buffer on the wire to keep get rid of tension on the fragile connections on the internal components.They are very lightweight, and feel good. Not great in noisy environments, or if you have maybe a loud fan running in the background. I am impressed and hope they last me a while before breaking.Ethan

These are pretty decent headphones, and I am glad I got them. The sound quality is above average, with decent bass tones. I got them because I like to listen to music/sleep tones in bed without disturbing the spouse. Earbuds just do not work for me, and are uncomfortable to fall asleep with. These are more comfortable. and will work well for "normal" use, also. The clips feel secure, so I think they would work well during workouts. I have been using them for a couple weeks, nearly every night, with no complaints. My only concern, that I have with any similar device, is how long the thin wires/cords will hold up without breaking and making them useless. Time will tell.panakanic

At around $10, this headphone offers great sound and absolute neck freedom. I'm constantly annoyed with using a great over/on-ear only to be incentivized to not move my neck forwards or backwards. Or using an in ear headphone that constantly slips out or loses ideal suction because of my organically oily ears. Not to mention, but this is a ""fun"" sound signature, which is generally good for commercial music anyway. This headphone perfect for travel/work and frankly any situation except for when you want pristine sound quality or you're in a noisy enough environment. I'm not often in a noisy enough area where I also need to plug myself away from noise, like I used to do. Over ears tend to be too heavy or too bulky for my portability needs. DID I MENTION COMFORT? There is just no other headphone out there that matches the maximum possible comfort level of the KSC75 ear clips. I don't wear glasses, but I'm sure they're like that, but more comfortable because you can modify the shape. Spend some time molding the ear clip to suit your ear. If you use it stock, you're using it wrong! The clip is a malleable piece of material(?) with a wire inside it, and really light. I mean, the only downsides to these headphones are that they don't fit what the majority of users want out of a generic headphone. They need noise isolation, large over ear sound or in ear isolated sound, stylish, expensive. This is a light, limited styling options, open/on ear, cheap. If the world wasn't so noisy, this earphone would be everywhere. I can't imagine wearing over ears walking around not moving my neck freely, or in ears that I have to adjust every hour that also slowly build ear fatigue, again. Plus the super sensitive wire vibrations you get with in ears that reverberate into your skull. All of those will not be missed with this extremely affordable endgame.J.

I am in love with this earphone. The sound is crisp and clear. The 9mm drivers are spot on and deliver a pretty well balanced sound on all volume levels. Its not too bassy but that doesn't mean it lacks the punch. Its so finely tuned, that all the levels of the equalizer are just perfect. I have two other Marshall products (Major 3 and Monitor) and they have never disappointed me. This added to my collection is just a small compact light in the ears – with no fatigue, kind of earphones with great performance. I have had bose and sennheisers too, but after listening to Marshall's, the other two are over priced and just not right for the price that you pay. (Especially Bose)

The sound is flat, as a monitoring set these are not designed for music listening. Size of the ear muffs is good, I would consider these to be average and would fit most ears. Overall size is not for a bald person with an average head, as they fit big and tend to droop down, or at least for me. With a hat or beanie, these work perfectly!Jonathan

This is a great product for the price. I do highly recommend buying these for listening to music & for recording. I highly doubt you will find a better pair of headphones in an electronics store for twice as much. However, I DO NOT recommend using these for mixing/mastering due to the lack of flatness in the sound quality. The bass is pretty intense for mixing/mastering in my opinion. I use several different pairs of headphones for mixing/mastering, just to get an overall 'feel' for the sound of the mix, so for that reason I don't regret buying these. Bottom line? Ordered these for an upcoming recording project. They don't fit real comfortably and become sweaty quickly. There isn't a lot of clean low end you'd expect from a headphone. I'm going to keep them to complete the recording project, my mates aren't too picky. The cables will be plenty long enough. I will be wearing different phones to better monitor the mix. On a side note….2 days after I ordered two of these, the two pack went on the sdotd on another site. If you need a cheap headphone…and see that deal….you might be okay. What a great sounding mini amp. I've had to use headphone mini amps for the last 15 years due to time constraints and location of practice area. I didn't want to use the precious practice time I had just to set up full size amp for only an hour or so and then return everything back to storage area. It was so much simpler and convenient just to plug a mini amp into my guitar, put on head set and play. Down side was always the quality of the mini amps I was using. I was getting them for around half of what a vox cost.. I always wanted a vox but they were expensive. After joining mf rewards club and making several purchases I bought my vox for about half price by applying my points to the purchase. I should have never waited. This vox is 10 times better than the cheaper brands. As soon as I opened the packaging and held it in my hand I could feel the quality. When I first plugged it in and started playing I got really upset. Not at the mini amp but at myself for waiting so long. I highly recommend buying this mini amp. Trust me. It's really worth it and you'll be glad you did.Horn

It sounds great, and is ridiculously versatile for such a small device, comprising not only Gain, Tone and Volume controls, together with three levels each of effects options Chorus, Delay and Reverb, but also Clean, Crunch and Lead. Two AAA batteries are required (included), and give hours of usage. Just plug it into your guitar, attach headphones (decent pair of over-ear type are best, but don't need to be expensive) and, if wishing to practice over a track by your favourite band, simply attach an appropriate device such as a tablet or 'phone. If you require to free your amPlug2 sound from the confines of headphones, Vox also offer a mini, 2 watt, amPlug2 amp/speaker to which you attach your amPlug2 and play out loud (but not loud enough to annoy the neighbours. The wonderful Vox 50 watt amp/cab stack Mini Superbeetle Audio blue tooth speaker also doubles as a guitar amp, complete with amPlug2 compatibility, but at full volume, this would definitely annoy the next door neighbours, and possibly those further afield. I have purchased some cheap headphones in my day. All of them were terrible. I have purchased soem expensive headphones as well, Pioneer, AKG, Sennheiser, and I promise you. THESE ARE BETTER. They have 50mm drivers that just pound. I have not tried using a headphone amp but for 50$ you can buy a tube amp that would make these headphones sound even better. They are comfy, and they come with two cords, that are re-moveable. A feature only offered on high end headphones. And the cable is SO NICE. It even has a bend protector on the cable. very nice! The headphones are good. The customer service is not. I received what I ordered which included a boom mic to be connected to and used with headphones. However, the cord on the boom mic does not fit into the port on the headphones. It is too small. Only one cord in the box fits and it is an extension cord with no volume or mute controls on it.

I have emailed back and forth with their CS, and all I get are replies for more information, which I had already provide in the previous emails. I was then asked for a video of the problem and even with that, I received a reply asking for more information. Extremely frustrating since they only have a foreign number to call.

I bought these on the stupid deal of the day. They were very inexpensive, and I got what I paid for it. I have a much higher end pair of AKG headphones, and there's no comparison. These sound thin, and have a mid-range honk in them. Four basic listening to music, they would be okay. They don't measure up to my Sony 7506's at all. For the average listener just wanting a pair of headphones to listen to music, they're okay. However, if I were to use them in a studio application, they would be useless. I've been recording for more years than I can remember, and while my 7506 headphones have been my go-to, my upper intake AG's have a different sound, but they're very neutral. They have a great balance. I kind of thought this would be similar, but I should have known for the price I paid, which was less than 1/10 of my good ones, that they wouldn't measure up. Astonishing sound for the price. If you want low cost, quality materials, light, comfortable and a transparent sound go no further. The cable is thicker, longer and more durable than most in this price range. The cunning headband results in a set of headphones that will not squeeze your head until your eyes pop out so very comfortable for long listening sessions. I am surprised at the transparency of the sound, using my classic NAD and Sony amplifiers the sound stage is good, bass is thick and detailed, the highs are crisp but not sibilant. Mids are perhaps slightly muted but a little EQ sorts that out. These are closed back and leakage is minimal, but they don't suffer the boxy sound that often comes with low cost closed back headphones. Overall the sound is vibrant, detailed and agile. There is no mushiness, boomy bass or shrill highs. If you drive these with a decent source they will deliver a good approximation of what you put in. Highly recommended, for the price these are excellent value.radiomarko

I bought these headphones about a year ago, so I can tell you a lot about it. First of all, I like this large size. There is no pressure on the ears. Secondly, it is a long and flexible wire, which is a big plus for me. And most importantly, the sound that is the BEST for the money. Perhaps the sound in these headphones is the most detailed and lightest of all that I have heard. As for the disadvantages, I want to say that it is impossible to replace the wire if you damaged it. When it comes time to buy new headphones, I will choose from AKG. Thanks a lot!Rodion

The sound quality is the worse ever , you can barely hear. Then the color is suppose to be "Gold" and it looks silver smh . There a lot of false advertising on these headphones so buyers beware. I just bought a couple of these on sale price to add to my early-stage home studio. Overall, I'm pleased with these. I think they're great to throw on each of my band members to lay down tracks. Plenty of low end to keep the drummer and bassist happy, high freqs don't offend, and mids sound good. In fact, I'm not really sure what my issue is with these. However, when I'm mixing and think I have a good sound, I'll compare with a pair of Skull Candy Aviators and Apple Ear pods and find different issues with each. Not huge issues, but usually something to do with the mid to mid-high range. It SEEMS like these color their mid freqs. a tad. I know all headphones are different and it is good practice to often switch between different sets for reference, and it could totally be inexperience on my part as a mixer, but these are the issues I've come across after 20+ hours of use. It is not something that would discourage me from recommending these to fellow home studio dudes and dudettes. Probably not for audiophiles, but if you are one, you're probably not even shopping in this price range to begin with. The pros definitely outweigh the cons with these and at the price I got them, I couldn't be happier.J. Flores

Meh … but, shoot, what should one expect for such a low price? While these cans are fairly lightweight, they are fairly well built, overall. Comfortable, with little or no "microphonic" distractions (meaning one does not hear noise from the cable or headband or earphone receiver cups – as occurs so often on inexpensive headphones.) Cable is lightweight and does not feel as durable as the rest of the unit. Headband copies many other headphones, such as the venerable SONY 7506 and some Audio-Technica studio monitors – and is just OK (no complaint, but nothing special,either). Sound signature is dark, muffled, and lacking detail. Mid range and treble frequencies are subdued and dull. Bass is muddy and lacks punch, and disappointing overall. But, this is what one USUALLY expects and gets at this price point. In contrast, the similarly priced Takstar HD-2000 has a far cleaner, more open, and detailed audio profile, and Superlux HD-661 andHD-672 for an additional ten to fifteen buckaroos are WAY more open, clear, clean, punchy, and neutral – i.e., accurate – and represent a huge bargain among affordable headphones. Similarly the JVC HRA-R700 are a much more substantial product with far superior sound, close to the Superlux, (which I think are the current performance value leaders in this market segment. Therefore, while the Musician's Gear headphones are … um … just OK … they ARE, ultimately, worth what you pay for them. I guess. I will probably give these away to someone without any headphones. I rate them 3 stars because they are just average, ordinary cans for the price – as I think there are better alternatives for the same or just a little more of your hard earned brass. And this is just MY take – your mileage may vary.TT

Got these today, took them out of the beautiful hard case they come in and connected the cord, which is very nice and has a great solid tight jack on the headphone side. Plugged them into my 1W +1W headphone amplifier and oh my god, their name is well deserved, seriously these ROCK! Whoever said these are bass shy, isn't using a powerful enough headphone amplifier, these have bass for days with a proper amp, you could probably even increase bass response by adding some thin dense foam to the inside of the driver enclosures. The build quality is excellent and so is the sound, they are absolutely right about these being as good as more expensive headphones, at least in my opinion, these are an absolutely excellent value.grassulo

These Headphones have just as good of sound as my Sony V6, and are half of the price. They have a good neutral sound for recording, and are very comfortable for hours of wearing while recording, plus you get a felt set of ear pads which are very nice for the extra comfort. These have a removable cable which my Sony's do not have, so i can have a longer cable without having to use extensions.s.vacura

Got this Amplug Blues today plugged it into my Strat and it sounds great! and I highly recommend it! Now is it perfect? the answer is the usual NO. I think it can be improved on as follows. 1. Put a little color on the dials… the plastic is all black and the plug can rotate to different orientations. Would really be nice to have the dials stand out better with different colors. 2. Change the AA batteries to USB rechargeable Lipo battery. No reason to burn batteries when you can recharge! 3. My main change request is to have Bluetooth Audio In because you plug in the Amplug and then connect headphones (great for practicing). But to add audio to jam to you need to connect another cable to the Aux jack. So for me it just get's to be too much. Since nearly everyone has a smart phone it would be great to use Bluetooth for the Audio In so you can wirelessly play jam track and stuff without needing the 2nd cable. But it does sound really good and I'm keeping it!Harpster58

I regret, that I was mistaken in my previous review. I had claimed that the sound was great – but, that some functions were missing, after about a month of use. That is not true. I re-read the slightly, confusing, manual. The unit itself is – slightly, confusing* – but, it does work the way it is supposed to. In fact, you have a serious selection of effects – at least, three levels, of each one of, three effects – far more than other units in this category of headphone amplifier. The sound is incredible – the thing's got, big, b*alls! – and that, in itself, is worth five stars. Amazing job!

I dislike giving unfavorable reviews but these headphones were a significant disappointment. I echo much of the reviewers in stating these headphones are muddy-sounding and lack mid and up clarity (IMHO). The lower-mids and below is muddy without clarity (though dominate). I got these headphones on a SDOTD to have reasonable closed-back headphones to listen to music while my partner has Web conferences in the same room (she insists on using speakers). These headphones do isolate reasonable-well. However the performance has gotten to me more and more. Putting on my very old Kenwood headphones from the early 80's is a breath of fresh air after listening to these. Note I am used to listening to open and semi-open back headphones so you may want to take this into account. I gave these three-stars which I think is generous. They do isolate reasonably and to me comfortable to ware. However I feel the sound performance is disappointing.bassdeal

I know – picky picky! If the bass is too strong, just turn it down a little! It's really not that bad, but compared to my other headsets, it is a bit heavy in the mid to upper bass. I probably would have given it 4 1/2 stars if that were possible, but I like them enough that I didn't want to down-rate them. I bought these to replace an Audio-Technica ATH-M35 set that died, couldn't be repaired, and are no longer available. These are so similar that I wondered if they might have come from the same manufacturer. These are lightweight, comfortable when worn for long sessions, and overall have a clean, smooth sound, except for the slight rise in bass response. For a lightweight set they do fairly well at blocking ambient noise, and they cover the ears well. I would recommend against them for DJ or on-location mixing because of the lightweight construction, but for general listening or lighter-duty work, they work well.Bill

I use them mainly for listening to music via my laptop. They're comfortable and sound great imo. I have other Tascam recording gear, so I'm familiar with their brand quality. I got them on sale. Nice deal so I bought two pairs. Not sure if I'd pay the full retail price on these – might be worth it, but not on my budget.NoChrome66

On the cheaper side in terms of touch and feel but they are priced, aimed and manufactured that way intentionally. Looks better than what it feels to handle them. Sound quality is great, very comfortable, very long wire, seem to have a wide/open sound gamut. although bass isn't so pronounced however they are perfectly bass-ey enough for audio recording and practicing. Mid and highs are great and decently crisp for headphones of this price bracket. Overall I love them ESPECIALLY for the price. If you're considering something in this price range then they are a great option otherwise headphones can get very expensive very fast :/Bobby
