I would rate this product really high for all of its features but it I have two real complaints. The biggest drawback is the difficult programming. I am using this unit to control a lighting console that requires 'note on' midi signals. If you are using it for a guitar rig that uses 'program changes' it will probably work for you without so much hassle. I am a very tech savy guy and this thing came close to being sent back. It comes with NO instruction manual. You must download it off the internet. That being said, the manual was clear as mud. After several days of agony (I'd think I had it figured out, but it wouldn't work) I finally found the answer on a forum on the internet. Yes…you have to hit the Note button TWICE!! Once to illuminate, the second time to flash..then 'Enter'. Now it works for me. If only the manual had thoroughly explained this! Many people seem to give up and program it with thier computer (with a midi set up of course). The second complaint I have is the FCB1010's enormous size. This thing is massive. When playing guitar I am not a pedal user and I am not use to having anything on the floor except a tiny channel switch. Having to drag this thing around to run the lights doesn't thrill me…but until I can afford a lighting guy, this will have to do. One of the few footswitches that will do all three types of midi signals. Lots of features enabling it to handle simple to very complex rigs. Haven't had it long but it seems to be built pretty robust (as much as can be with todays products being made with so much plastic). The body is metal, the pedals are plastic. The unit is very large and heavy for a footswitch. There are only two pedals I can find that will send midi note signals. This unit costs half of what the other did so I guess it makes it an OK value. Getting through the programming is the hardest part.
I'm surprised there aren't more boards like this, but thankfully it does everything I need 🙂 The manual is a joke but there are plenty of great online guides, videos, and even third party software to help program it. You'll need to learn about the different types of MIDI signals, and you'll probably need to change the settings for if to be useful for your particular software. This can be daunting: but the great thing is that every foot switch can be programmed to send up to ten MIDI signals at once (including two CC settings for the two expression pedals). So even though there are two exp pedals: there's kinda 200! (10 switches and 10 banks). The switches all default to "program change" MIDI signals, which I found pretty unuseful, but they can all be changed to CC signals (eg 0/127 toggle or any value you like, on any CC# you like) or even "note" signals if you want to say control a synth bass line as you play!opium32
THIS IS MY FIRST "MIDI" CONTROLLER OTHER THAN FOOT CONTROLLERS THAT COME WITH UNITS. I WAS UNSURE HOW IT WOULD WORK BECAUSE IT WAS NOT MADE BY THE PROCESSOR UNIT I HAD. BEHRENGER MAKES EXCELLENT PRODUCTS AND THIS IS NO EXCEPTION. HEAVY DUTY CHASIS AND SWITCHES ARE JUST THE OBVIOUS WHEN I OPENED THE BOX. I'M USING IT WITH AN AVID ELEVEN RACK BECAUSE THE AVID FOOT CONTROLLER WAS $400 OPPOSED TO THE $100 FOR THE BEHRENGER UNIT. IT DOES EVERYTHING I NEED IT TO DO AND MORE. IT CONTROLS EVERY PATCH CHANGE I CREATED AND EVEN THE PARAMETERS IN THE PATCHES SO I CAN CHANGE THE TONES INSIDE OF EACH ONE. I HAVEN'T EVEN SCRATCHED THE SURFACE OF WHAT THIS UNIT IS CAPABLE OF YET. THE EXPRESSION PEDALS FEEL AND WORK GREAT UNDER FOOT AND REDUCE THE NUMBER OF UNITS ON THE FLOOR. THEY'RE NOT AS GOOD AS SOME STAND ALONE WAHS OR VOLUME CONTROLS BUT ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR MOST GIGS. I have the Sanpera 1 and use it with my Peavey Vypr VIP 2 Combo amp and I have to say it adds allot of functionality to the AMP. Switching through the different presets is much better than trying to finger fumble it all out while you are playing through a song, huge plus, no doubt. Its very sturdy. I kinda wish the foot buttons were a little softer and easier to depress but I am assuming they are built to last and are more like old school foot pedals like I used to see long ago when I was a kid. Upon first plug in it in I noticed that the VOLUME and AUX would not switch when pressing down on the wah pedal. Removed back plate and adjusted screw and it was all good. To bad they cant do that at the factory because if they had this woulda gotten a 5 star rating from me. As far as the other comment I heard about the lead getting buried in the looper, all I do is use the VOLUME on the foot pedal to turn the recorded loop down just a bit, record my loop, start the loop after recording and then crank the pedal volume up. Lead sounds strong and great. The wah pedal is a blast, I have never had one of my own in the past but always wanted one. I have to say that this is worth the money if you have the amp to go with it. I purchased the Peavy Sanpera 1 to use it on stage with my Peavy VYPYR VIP 2. The amp is really fantastic, Just what I needed, but regarding the Sanpera footswitch I have to say that I'm very dissapointed. Actually, I'm considering return it. At least for me, the pedal is not user friendly at all, specially about the BANK SELECT MODE. PRESET MODE is the only one that is easy to use, but when you try to access the BANK MODE then, is when you will have your first frustrating trouble. In fact, I've been trying to figure it out for a week and still have not found the way to use and switch BANKS. I just can't!!!. One has to press buttons 1-2 simulteneously and that's the first risk specially if you are on stage and you can't afford the luxury of making a mistake when you need an acoustic guitar sound instead of an electric guitar one. On the positive side, the pedal on the other hand is strong and sturdy. Built to last. I am really sorry that I have to return it and not to be able to use it. Again maybe it is just me, but in my opinion it is too complicated. In my opinion, a foot switch should be easier to use.Mike
Sorry, but this just kept me confused. I had it for a few weeks and only got the pedal to operate once. Once you play with the buttons for a while you'll probably figure it out but I could never picture doing that in public! The looper only works if you take your foot off the button not when you press it. The buttons themselves make a loud click. The included cd instructions are barely helpful. I purchased this to go with a katakana head mk2, it does alow you to swith between the 4 presets and the panel and works flawlessly for this. Plugging in an expression pedal to this also seems to work fine for controlling the volume or controlling the effects. It is a shame that you can't use it to scroll between the different amp models when you have the panel selected and unless I am missing something I can't switch between banks A and B for the 4 user saved channels. I have no problems with the build quality, it seems sturdy and well manufactured. Having to put the two stickers on that came with the katakana wasn't too much of a hassle to get the pedals labeled correctly; but as of yet I don't know how well that will hold up after continue use. Exceeeds expectations with my Katana Artist (1st generation). The biggest drawback is that longer TRS cables are quite pricy, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience this footswitch offers. A few things I love about this footswitch: (1) "Effects" mode gives you stompbox simplicity. (2) In "Effects" mode, switching off delay lets the delays fade out naturally, unlike "Preset" mode. (3) Buttons are already assigned to the desired Katana Artist functions. Screenprinted labels match, so no stickers necessary (although they were included with my amp). One small issue: There's a noticeable lag when pressing the Panel button in "Preset" mode. I'm guessing it's more of an amp firmware issue. I will look into that.Tim

The FC-300 MIDI foot controller is a rugged floorboard that gives you complete realtime control over all your MIDI devices. If you're familiar with Rolands older V-Bass or V-Guitar floor modules, or their GT series effects processors, you know the basic physical layout of this unit, and the quality and durability of its parts. There are no flimsy plastic components, and you'd have to work really hard to do any damage to its tough metal chassis. The two Expression Pedals have very smooth travel and output evenly throughout their full range. Theres just enough resistance to allow the pedal to stop securely at any point along its excursion, great if you want to capture a particular filter notch in a wah or synth, or the sweet spot in a volume sweep. In fully depressed position, there are on/off switches that are easy to access without putting all your weight on them, and yet they will not switch too easily so you don't have to worry about accidentally switching them on or off. The two Control Pedals can be set for latch or momentary operation. The Expression and Control Pedals are each assignable to virtually any two controllable parameters. There are two Mode Pedals, generally intended as Bank Up and Down controls, or to switch between Modes when depressed simultaneously. There are five Patch Pedals, each of which can select two patches within any bank. Depending on which of the four Modes is selected (standard, control, sys ex, or patch) each of the pedals can be assigned somewhat different if related functions. All pedals have associated lights to let you know exactly whats currently engaged. The two-line LCD allows for 16 characters per row, so you can have a pretty thorough designation for each selected patch. The variable intensity lighting in the LCD display insures that the characters are clear and easy to read in any lighting. If you need more control, the FC-300 has three additional jacks for connecting external Expression or Control Pedals, and a dedicated Mode jack for a pedal just to switch among Modes. There are even Amp Control jacks so you can switch between amp channels and their effects if your amp allows for that. Because this is a MIDI controller, of course there are MIDI in and out jacks too! The FC-300 has an onboard memory of 8 KB, and is capable of storing 100 separate Patches. If you have a very extensive MIDI set-up and somehow need more than 100 onboard Patches, that may be the only limitation you'll find with this controller. Full disclosure, this is more than Ive attempted with mine so far, but thats on the horizon. While a full-featured MIDI controller able to work with all MIDI devices, the FC-300 is optimized for both the VG-99 and the VB-99, and communicates with them so seamlessly that all programming is effortless and automatic. Ive only used mine with the VB-99, and I couldn't be happier with just how transparently easy it is to use, and how perfectly all the functions perform. No need to be fluent in MIDI if thats your main use for this. The FC-300 can be powered by an external power supply or internal batteries, but as an additional bonus when connected to the VB-99 through Rolands RRC2 cable (their proprietary CAT5 cable), it derives all its power from that. That eliminates the need for a separate power cord or MIDI cables to the VB-99 too, helping to minimize stage or studio clutter. The FC-300 isnt a sexy device, but its an extraordinarily functional one and will make your life a lot easier. Packed with features, as versatile as you could want, expandable with external pedals, and built solidly enough to withstand all the rigors of the road, Roland got this one exactly right.

NO ADAPTER INCLUDED!!! ALL of my 12v tip center powerpacks cause a DC hum!!! Only works quietly with a 9V battery. Where on earth is the adapter for this pedal located and why is it so difficult to find? Where is the option to buy? MUST be used AFTER any pedals or the hiss/noise bill blow your shoes off. A simple passive pedal with a 500k ohm pot would be much better for guitar as long as when at full power the pot is bypassed. Still waiting to use this sucker. It needs a 12v power supply. If you're anything like me,you'll have 9v psu s lying around like dead coffee cups in a teenage bedroom but 12v ? durr. Bought this product I am extremely not happy with it. Yes the pedal may feel premium but it simply does not work. I plugged it in using a 12 Volt power adapter just as the instructions pointed out however no power was feeding through to the pedal. I have taken it to several music stores to help diagnose the problem but all of them have mentioned that the pedal is faulty. Awesome, easy to use straight out of the box. No problems connecting to an ipad (using a usb camera adaptor), computer or keyboard (with the midi adaptor). Didn't need to install new drivers or anything for these devices to recognise the 12 step. I recommend updating the 12 step firmware, which is super simple and easy to do. Obviously it takes a bit of practice getting used to using your feet and also getting the dynamics with how hard to press down – but that's my own problem, not the product. Very impressed with the price, fast delivery and most of all how easy this thing was to connect to all the desired different devices. Also, it's extremely light and portable which is awesome.Caleb
I currently play bass guitar and use the Taurus 3 pedals. When I read about the 12-Step and the ability to do chords, I had to check it out. I already have a Roland Juno DS-61 synth on stage, so, a MIDI cable, and walla, chords. After three gigs here are my thoughts. Good value for the money. Pretty easy to program. I downloaded the software to my laptop, and it is pretty user friendly. I love how you can just click notes from the virtual keyboard at the bottom to create your chords. And you can assign any chord to any button. Or single notes. If you want to have 12 different C chords on one preset, no problem. I do presets by song. You can also leave buttons blank so they have no sound. This comes in handy as explained later. The MIDI Expander needed to run to a keyboard is a bit of a pain. Easy to set up, but three cables needed. Power, one to the pedal (both of those are included), and then the MIDI cable to your synth (not included). The cables are a bit sketchy – not very durable. The AC adapter has a wall wart and uses a USB-type plug in cable. Eh. The power to pedal is a small plug in like a Smart Phone. Kinda scary. Wouldn't take much of a wrong step to mess that up. Think putting your cell phone on the floor and stepping around it. Everyone has had those phone charger cables go bad – a bit worried about that. The pedal is solid, but connections seem more studio than built for live. But it works great. Very cool. And fun. Just as if I played the chords on the keyboard. HOWEVER, geez those buttons are close together. My 9.5 sneakers…. The Taurus of course is like an organ bass pedal, and I even sometimes step on the wrong one, especially while singing. What I've done is use one preset per song. I usually only need a few chords, so I spread them out among the 12 buttons, with some blank ones in between. Still challenging. This pedal has gotta be one of the most underrated OD pedals out there…. especially given its price point. I have A,B'd this thing against modded BD-2s, modded OD-3's, and the SD-1W and the Mojomojo is just bigger and less tinty. I dont want it to be, but it is. It is a wonderful sounding OD and is great for OD rhythm sounds. It is in the cranked Marshall class of OD's so not to be confused with the green OD pedal. The only area that some of my modded ODs beat it in is sustain. It does tail off on lead stuff sooner than some more expensive pedals. That is the only area that it doesn't win though. You can also use this as an always on boost as well. All in all this thing always seems to knock more expensive pedals off my board time and time again. Highly recommend this pedal and at it's price point it should be in all OD aficionados collection.KL
I use the MojoMojo on my Fender G-DEC Junior and it helps to make the amp sound warmer, richer and fuller. The MojoMojo when dialed in right adds a very slight and suttle low mid thickness, hard to explain. I find its not a "set it and forget it" type of pedal (i.e. Tube screamer), for each amp setting I have to dial it in or it will sound muddy but with a little tweaking between the amp settings and the pedal settings (usually level settings rather than tone knobs) I can get them matched tonally and sonically, bass tone knob is usually set pretty low. I use low output humbuckers and it works great with these. I can get nice overdrive without changing the amps overall characteristic sound.

It’s an Ibanez tube screamer, so of course it’s wicked. Easy to use, bombproof, and gives you that extra bit of oomf for a big solo. If you want pure dirty blues then I’d go for the 808, but the TS9 is great for rock, it’s got a slightly brighter more aggressive tone. These things really shine with a Strat, but they sound just as great with whatever guitar you’re using, and they are just loads and loads of fun. The tube screamers are, I think, a foundational building block of getting a good blues tone out of your rig. Obviously, your guitar and amp will have a big impact on your sound, but this pedal can help you find that special sweet spot of tone. Being an overdrive pedal rather than a hard distortion pedal, do not expect the long singing sustains you would get from a traditional distortion pedal, but more of a crunch, an added grit. I think the pedal will interface well with a distortion device like OCD, and spatial pedals like MXR Carbon copy, and TC electronics hall of fame… if you can afford them… they are expensive… the price you pay for quality. If you are into blues, this is the pedal. If you are into hard rock, this pedal is good in front of a layered chain of distortion pedals to over drive some killer tones.Jim in the box

How odd. This review was flagged for writing Big Mu** using the two F's 🙂 For the money, this is a really hard pedal to beat. It goes from mild and laid-back to wild and intense. The controls feel great…like as in excellent quality. This is a reissue of the original Big Mu** PI. I tried a Big Mu** PI with Wicker and forget about it. It hissed so loud in Wicker mode that I couldn't even here myself think and it got even worse with the tone switch off. And even in the so-called Big Mu** PI mode, it didn't sound anywhere near as good as this Rams Head does. And, the Rams Head is quiet compared to the BM PI with Wicker. One more thing, The BM PI with Wicker does not say anywhere on it nor in the included paperwork where it's made, whereas the RH BM PI clearly says New York City on the face of it…Vincent
The tone sweep is nice and there are some interesting spots because it is linear while kind of non-linear at 10 to noon and about 1-2 on tone control. I can't say why but usually I had purchased like more expensive versions of ehx pedals. That being said, I think people need to realize that these are quite accurate reissues and circuits, and just because it is an affordable pedal doesn't mean it isn't great.
Overall: Floats like a stone and stings like a nest of angry hornets! This box has the buzzsaw sound down pat. The fuzz is a thick, smooth, and consistent. I like this kind of fuzz in particular because it’s less fuzzy and little more distortion-like. The Tone knob has a really wide sweep from boomy bass to mid-range Hades. It has plenty of gain on tap and even sounds pretty good with the guitar’s volume rolled back a skosh.I’ve never used the original Green Russian Muff and have only heard them compared through videos online, so I can’t speak as to how they’re different/alike. I got it because I didn’t want to haul my vintage Black Russian Muff around from gig to gig anymore because it’s getting valuable and since it was a pretty jenky design to begin with, it’s liable to break with heavy use. That being said, the reissue Green Russian Muff has a different sound than an original V8 Black Russian Muff. It doesn’t sound as good to me, but it’s not so different that I wouldn’t use the Green Russian live in lieu of the Black Russian for the aforementioned reasons. One huge plus for the Green Russian is its pedalboard friendly size. The Black Russian is the size of an 80s metal lunchbox and took up an awkward sized chunk of the pedalboard. Now there’s more room for other unnecessary boxes (gulp)! One noteworthy ding for this pedal is how difficult it is to see the script on the top of the pedal. The words are printed right underneath the knobs, so if it’s kinda dark (which it usually is) and the lights are all in front of you (which they usually are) the words are impossible to see. Overall it’s a nice fuzz especially for the price. It’s noisy, but once the music gets rolling you won’t even notice it.Brad

I've had the Liverpool character pedal for a long time. It sounds like a Vox. I've had both versions of the RK5 Fly Rig (still have and gig v2) and the dUg DP3X (gig this one, too). I hadn't heard about this until I got my latest issue of Guitar Player magazine in the mail and these guys are al over the outside back cover ad. I ordered it immediately through Sweetwater. It sounds great! I have the UAFX Ruby, a Quilter Superblock US (shoulda been the UK, I know) and a Mooer GE 300 Lite: all trying to solve the "silent stage" conundrum when I can't bring out my Top Hat or Dr Z or Fender TRRI. But this is the pedal I was waiting YEARS for: XLR and 1/4" outputs for FOH and monitor amp, respectively. Voxy Voxness that's Voxtastic for the convenient, silent stage live application. While the other products are fine in their own capacities (and, to be fair, the Ruby sounds slightly better though digitally noisy in live situations), I would've saved about a thousand bucks had I known this existed. But, um, no built-in tuner. That'll cost ya a star, particularly since the RK5 and the dUg have built-in tuners. (Really, Tech 21?) Totally a keeper!!

The PSA2 does all that perfectly but it's the sounds that have blown me away. It sounds incredible. Every Marshall tone is achievable and authentic, so are Fender and Mesa tones, and anything in between. And it really responds well to picking dynamics, and when you back off the volume on the guitar it cleans up perfectly. And…it just feels and sounds better than digital – my HX Stomp is now for effects only. I couldn't be happier, it's exactly what I needed. Thoroughly recommended!rossmacrae777

I purchased this to go with a katakana head mk2, it does alow you to swith between the 4 presets and the panel and works flawlessly for this. Plugging in an expression pedal to this also seems to work fine for controlling the volume or controlling the effects. It is a shame that you can't use it to scroll between the different amp models when you have the panel selected and unless I am missing something I can't switch between banks A and B for the 4 user saved channels. I have no problems with the build quality, it seems sturdy and well manufactured. Having to put the two stickers on that came with the katakana wasn't too much of a hassle to get the pedals labeled correctly; but as of yet I don't know how well that will hold up after continue use. Exceeeds expectations with my Katana Artist (1st generation). The biggest drawback is that longer TRS cables are quite pricy, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience this footswitch offers. A few things I love about this footswitch: (1) "Effects" mode gives you stompbox simplicity. (2) In "Effects" mode, switching off delay lets the delays fade out naturally, unlike "Preset" mode. (3) Buttons are already assigned to the desired Katana Artist functions. Screenprinted labels match, so no stickers necessary (although they were included with my amp). One small issue: There's a noticeable lag when pressing the Panel button in "Preset" mode. I'm guessing it's more of an amp firmware issue. I will look into that.Tim

Sound: The sound on this board is amazing, I fee it’s also very responsive to your playing and you get that responsive feedback. Makes me feel like it’s easier and more joyful to play my guitar. I will say this you have to tweak settings to get your sound typically the pre made ones aren’t the best. Overall: Ok so first off I’m new to this thing, I never thought I get away from tube amps, but….this headrush caught my attention and I love it! I like the simplicity of it and it produces great models plus sounds really authentic for what it does. I will recommend pairing with headrush frfr108 or frfr 12 or a frfr (Full range flat response) speaker instead of an amp. That way you get the absolute most out of this. I got the headrush frfr108 and it’s sounds amazing! too. As far as the headrush’s competition I haven’t used them yet. But end of the day it’s all personal preference. First off, DO NOT judge the tones of this pedalboard by the preset rigs, they're pretty bad. Build new rigs from scratch and you will discover what this unit is capable of producing. It's not overloaded with every effect pedal out there, but there is more than enough to get any tone you want from Jazz, Country, Rock, Metal, and Blues. For overdriven and distorted tones, it may seem like you only have a few pedals to choose from, but once you combine them with all the various amps, cabs, mics, and impulse responses, you have hundreds of tones in your sound pallet. As for modulation and delay effects, it has all you need to produce any tone. Real Amps and FX Loop – In addition, you can use any of your favorite effects in the FX loop of the pedalboard. It also works great with tube amps and can work in a "four wire" setup with your modulation and delay effects going through the amplifiers FX loop. You can also run into the PA and to a stage tube amp simultaneously. Virtual Amps and IR's – The amps and impulse responses sound fantastic. I have several vintage tube amps and I am able to reproduce the same tones of mic'ing up those amps from this pedalboard directly to the PA or a recording desk. It has the easiest user interface of any of the pedalboards out there. If you can use a smartphone or tablet, this will be very easy to learn. One of the best features is the ability to assign the footswitches to any pedal or multiple pedals (scene function), or do either toggle or momentary mode. In addition, the mini screens for each footswitch change when you assign it to different pedals so it's easy to see what effects you are turning on and off in live performance. In addition, you can name a scene footswitch anything you want (e.g. Clean, Crunch, Solo, etc.). Makes live performance very easy, no more stomp pedal dancing. Overall: First of all, I am pretty sold school when it comes to amps and effects. A simple tube amp pushed with a couple of tube screamers, the on board reverb from the amp itself, and some modulation like delay and chorus. I joined a band a few years back that was about to go into the studio to record an album the year before covid struck. As a result, I ended up buying a Pod HD500X as a way to try to consolidate the effects that I might need all in one unit. I used it mainly as a "pedal board" in front of the [tube] amp as if it were my old analog board full of individual pedals. Needless to say, the recording project got pushed back because of the pandemic, and I was stuck at home, with a lot of time to play around with the processor. It was "good" but it left me wanting an easier to use option. As you could imagine, what that kind of time on my hands, I did a lot of floating around the internet just looking at possible modelers. All of the names. Kemper, Helix, Axe FX, Fractal, and this HeadRush board. Out of everything that was out there, the HeadRush board seemed to be VASTLY easier to try to figure out. Pushing my late 40s now, I don't really 'enjoy' learning new technology the way I did in my teens and twenties, so I didn't want a steep learning curve just to be able to use this thing. I spent a day while it was being shipped looking over youtube tutorials as to how to use it. Only took me a few hours of messing around with it once it got here to dial in the tone that I had on the HD500X. If you can use your cell phone, you can figure this board out. The effects sound convincing and the amp models really seem as good as the competition's offerings (even if this board doesn't have quite as many jammed into it). We are about three weeks out from going in to start laying down the guide tracks for this LP [finally], and this will make things much easier to navigate when each little tone will be more heavily scrutinized. The ability to tweak it on the fly will save time (and thus MONEY) in that studio environment. No deep dives into large menus to try to make a minor adjustment. Gives me a lot more freedom to just try to play my parts instead of worrying about the setup itself. I think this board is a bit underrated as far as the amps and cabs as well. I still will be running it to my amplifier and mic-ing it up as I do still like the "feel" that tubes give when playing. But who knows, I may use some of the sims as well. Built like a tank. A bit heavier than I had expected. Should hold up well under live applications (though that was actually not a problem with the 500X either). I highly recommend this unit if you want to get something that doesn't take a degree from Berklee in sound engineering to get started making music.Kenneth

It is built solid and rugged, metal case with good rubber footing. It's just a trigger footswitch but that's all I needed. I use it to turn on/off my "Leslie" effect. I like that you don't have to keep it pressed down to keep the effect going – hit it once for "on", then hit it again when you want it "off". Initial troubles with connecting to a computer, turns out it was my faulty USB cable (NU-X responded fairly quickly to me – which was good). However, the audio converter software from the NU-X website will not open on a Mac with Catalina as the Mac cannot verify the developer. You have to go into your Preferences and change your security settings to open the software. After that – OK. I'm still experimenting with the unit so I cant comment on that, but a list of the in-built rhythms (style, emphasis on '2' etc.) would be handy.Brendan Robb

Had this on want list for awhile. Bought it new when I saw a price break of 17% on MF. Software & plugins misadvertised by IK multimedia. They make it sound like you get all the iOS and OS X plugins and amplitube included with the pedal. Well some you do as freebie hook and bait and others you have to buy. They do give you Amplitube 4 Deluxe which is good, (4)-T-Racks processors, Mic Room, Ableton Live 9 Lite (Mac/PC), Amplitube Acoustic, VocalLive and Mic Room for iOS .I already previously bought Amplitube Max for OS X and most of the iPad amps & stomp effects apps for iOS. Previously using iRig HD as interface into iPad Pro 12.9 1st Gen. This pedal allows you to control amp and stomp effects for live performances and studio using stomp mode and LIVE settings and to scroll between user saved settings and favorites. I am constantly tweaking my user settings. I mount iPad on separate stand with an extension cable not included, so I can control some settings with my fingers. tips and tricks. I like how IK Multimedia approaches tone through modeling Amplifiers very quality sounding industry top of the line manufacturers. Tuner is good. I figured out by accident by placing finger and holding on volume knobs on amps using ASSIGN CONTROL to assign a selected parameter to pedal or external controller. You can save this to your settings and the parameters you select are highlighted in faint yellow color. I was wanting to see a volume pedal and this satisfied my desire. Having to have an iPad or Computer is not cheap to use with this pedal, but top of the line stuff here IMHO. IK Multimedia is an Italian company and product. I have been playing guitar for a long time. I was certified by the Recording Workshop in Ohio, for studio recording (though I am an amateur). I will admit, I already owned an iPhone 8s, and had already purchased a few of the amp models in the app to use with iRig HD, which I feel is important, because if this product is to be used with iOS, it comes with a very limited set of amps. On PC/Mac it has much wider utility out of the box. However, this product is great. The tones I have been getting are fantastic, I can emulate famous tones I hear on records, pretty much on the fly, the presets are not great, but the recording is, imo, high quality and sound really good. I have not used this on an iPhone 7, and have heard there are issues, but on PC and my iPhone 8s, it has worked great. Because I liked this so much, I splurged and bought a new iPad, and upgraded the software to the MAX version, and I really love, it. I have had the stomp for about a month and a half, and bought the iPad 12 days ago, I will be returning it and getting more storage, because I have already created so much new content from the ease of use, I am worried I'll fill up the smaller capacity at only 32gb. The only real negative I have experienced, has been: if I have the app running on my iOS device, and unplug and the stomp from my device, and then reconnect the stomp, it will not work. I have to stop the app, reconnect the stomp and restart the app. It's annoying but no big deal, as I don't have to unplug it very often in the middle of using it, but enough that I noticed the issue.Nel
First of all, I paid $200 for the floor pedal that controls my amp, and that’s all it does, but this for $300 for me wasn’t a hard choice honestly. The first thing I did was plug my phone into it, then ran a cable to my practice amp, and it sounds great! It was so easy to use since I already have AmpliTube for the iPhone, and I’m looking forward to checking out Ableton 10 lite and the AmpliTube custom shop (both came with it), but I also use some Positive Grid products, like Bias FX and JamUp. I was happily surprised to find out, with a small amount of “googling”, that this can be used with just about anything you’d want to use it with. You just have to slightly mess around with the midi assignments (look it up if you’re scared, it’s super easy) and you can use it as a controller for other amp/music programs and recording software. I think this thing is built like a tank, and since I used the payment plan through AMS, it was a really easy choice for the price.KillBill

This pedal was fairly cheap, and it does work, so I dont want to knock that part of it. However, The sound quality is terrible. I saw one review that said, after three or four layers of sound it starts to sound muddy. I feel that was an understatement. A single play back loop sounds muddy to me. Ill still use it to practice with, but Im not very impressed. Save your money, and buy a better quality looper.guitarded5150

It’s not what I expected it to be. Only works whit Spark app actively running. I used to play along YouTube backing tracks and favour their native app over pg’s spark app (wherein YouTube is kinda implemented, but not as good as the native app). I had bought the Spark control. Now it works as advertised and i do find it useful. however there are a few key things that means i wouldn't recommend for others with sparks. #1: The Control doesn't directly connect to the amp. it requires you to have your phone or device with the App on it so if you don't have your phone near you you cant use the Control. #2: You have to be on the app for it to work. I could have put up with the first problem. But to use the Control, You have to be IN the app. you cant just have your phone off or on a different app. It requires you to have the app open and on screen. which is just stupid in my eyes considering i spent $150 AUD on something that wouldn't work unless i had what is neededCameron D.
