I am so thankful that I found one at such a cheap price and in this great of a condition. This piece was taken care of as far as dust, rust, wear and tear go. And completeness. It was missing the dongle which did make it a good bit cheaper. Thankfully, I had a copy of the same model. The copy that I had, the dongle worked but not the guitar. I was looking for one without any stickers on it, but I digress. 10/10cubeholic0

Good game with older songs. Not much fun on hard lvls with the sweet songs. Normal mode is do able it reminds me of play Simon says, with some good music and it's own little twist. I would recommend this to players if they doing the same thing over and overchristopher.w

I decided to buy this game because first of all this game was cheap and it game with the guitar which is really amazing and a way better upgrade then the guitar hero 3 guitar. The actual game on the other hand is a different story. The game itself actually has some pretty good songs on the game such as, Crazy Train, B.Y.O.B, Hotel California. It also has a music studio which i must say is pretty pointless unless you want to put your entire life into making something you can listen to. But it is fun to play crazy customs people online make. The graphics are also amazingly good everything is a step up from guitar hero 3 including the full band. The one thing i cannot stand about the game is the charts. Some of the songs are so stupidly charted. Not to mention the annoying purple notes which are supposed to help but indeed mess you up. The slide bar on the guitar was supposed to help but its kind of hard to use when you are in the middle of actually using it then all of a sudden it changes back to regular buttons. Rockband has actually got that part down. The singing on the game is pretty hard to the free form sections in vocals is idiotic. Because you have know idea what to sing and how to sing it. Also another error is you can't get a 100% on the song with vocals, which I have heard they have fixed in future games like Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits. I have yet to experience the drum set. But i have heard the pads out of the box had problems with it. But this game is an Average to Below Average. Its not there best but if its cheap what the hell buy it.zeitgeist520

I bought the guitar pack also before this. My guitar strum bar doesn't work from that one and the slide bar strums automatically. I bought this set for the drums and guitar, thinking it was just the individual controller's mistake last time. It works fine, but after maybe a half an hour of having it on, the strum bar strums for you in the game. The drums seem to have sensitivity problems, which can be fixed, but is very frustrating. The game is fun, but some songs seem very long and then at the very end, get hard; now, you've wasted about 6 minutes just to fail it. The presentation and songs, in my opinion, are not up to the standard Rock Band 2 set, especially with the abundance of downloadable content which personalizes the game more than fun, yet low quality song creation. The game looks great graphically, but the note track is small and looks less professional. The notes turn all the same color during a star power sequence, and if playing the drums without being used to the set-up, it can be somewhat confusing. I'm not sure about Rock Band 2's controllers compared to these, but my original Rock Band controllers are still functional. Three drums cracked, but hits still register, and the whammy bar is broken, but still can be used. Although the GHWT controllers can be sent in for a replacement, it is much easier just to avoid the game. Overall, the game is fun. Without some of the problems faced, most importantly the lacking hardware, this would be a great game.superunknown9

I purchased this for my son, who used to have it for the Nintendo Wii. He is very happy with it and loves playing along. My granddaughter is also having a go too!sues25

I used to play Guitar Hero when I was a teen so it's cool to be able to play it with my kids, and now on the Wii! (Didn't have the Wii back then LOL.) The graphics are really good and overall it has definitely improved since the earlier versions. Tons of great song choices and fun for the whole family to play. No issues at all being refurbished, can't even tell.maddiegirl

Why I bought it… Because of the free GH: Van Halen offer. Had it not have had that I would have just waited until the price dropped To me the setlist is bad and I figured GH:Mix would do the same thing the others did. I didn't think it would be any better than Guitar Hero World Tour GH:WT and definitely not as good as GH Metallica GH:M. I was right, again the song list had the worst choice of songs with the exception of 3 Doors Down, Iron, Maiden, and Bon Jovi. As for the graphics there quite a bite better than any of the others. The create a rocker is almost the same as in the past. Lot's of custimazation but very few decent hair choices. The chothes all all the same, might and I stress might be 2 or 3 new peices. But overall same old same old.. The competitive games are ok if you can play someone as good as you are you will have a blast. But for me it still gets old fast. I haven't tried the online portion of the game so I will not judge how that is. GH Mix: I thought for sure GH:M's GH Mix would not be beat. I am supprised to say I am wrong, for the most part. They almost out did them themselves on this. There needs to be more Metal tones, it's only got 2 good ones. I think there are way too many clean and oddball tones. They removed too many Keyboard tones as well. Back to the guitar though if you have GH:WT or GH:M I am sure you know what happens when you do quick power cord changes, you get that choppy cut sound. That was the only thing I had against GH:M's GH Mix and figured this one would be no different. I am very happy to say I was wrong. I tried everything I could to make it mess up but failed epicly. It isn't without problems though. After watching some videos on youtube of other peoples songs and thought that you could have power chords and lead on one chart, which would have been really cool. Sadly another dissapointment, all you can do is activate other notes so it just looks like you played the power chord. So that is an all but useless feature. GHTunes… Is like grass that never gets mowed… It would be half way neat if 99% of it wasn't crap… All you find on there is immpossible this or to hard that… GHTunes should have a "Remove it" feature where if the song gets enough of those votes it should be permemently removed from GHTunes… That would save alot of space and let all the good ones be heard. And thats pretty much it for my review of Guitar Hero 5. Ill end it with an over all rating on some of the aspects. Scale is 1 to 5 with 5 as best. Presentation: 3 Reminds me a lot of the older Guitar Heroes. Some new game modes but thats it. Graphics: 4 Very good graphics easily there best. The fret boards suck though. Its the same thing for all characters unlike the older GHs which where different. Gameplay: 2 Same old, same old, play each song once which is okay with me 96% of the songs I could only stand to play once anyway but it is getting old, Rock Band is far better. Sound: 3 Its only getting a 3 from me because it has Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden and 3 Doors Down on it. You can also play the DLC from GH:WT. Other than that this setlist should be balled up thrown in a rocket and shot into the sun. Lasting Appeal: 2 For me it's an epic failure the only thing that will keep me playing which is once every other week is GH:Mix and DLC. If you like all of the songs then youll not get board. Guitar hero 5 is an average game from the GH series however it is a Lot better than others such as the most recent Worriors of rock. The game doesn't come close to tendon numbing games such as Metallica but does have a good selection of toe-tapper songs and maybe even get your head banging. The guitar is probably the best part of the bundle pack. It amay not look as cool as the Gibson or Worriors of Rock Axe guitar but unlike those guitars, it does come with the "neck slide" feature (same as the Metallica bundle) which I personaly think should come with all the guitars. It gives another dimension of game play and slightly more sense of realism and adds a bit more of a challenge for all ranges of gamers. All in all, I would recommend this game/bundle because of the above however if you don't already own one, I'd say get the Metallica bundle instead and find GH5 (second hand) to purchase on its own. It would probably work out a lot cheaper this way than if you were to buy Metallica seperately instead. There's great "battle" modes against some real guitaring legends. The songs are from a wide range of bands (mainly picked by Mettalica themselves) and are by far the best variety (and challenging) of all of the Guitar Hero games I've played so far.thatcherl

The software version that came with our purchase was v1.0. When you insert the disk, the game console checks to see if there's a new version. We played v1.0 while v2.03 downloaded in the background. The game is VERY jumpy and pauses often which made it impossible to play – very annoying! We thought maybe the update download was causing troubles but we had troubles even after the download was complete. The new version 2.03 won't even start!!! I've opened two support tickets with the game manufacturer (not Playstation) and they give me the "reboot and it will work" – not the case. I've updated firmware to the instruments and all kinds of steps to resolve. At this point the manufacturer won't even respond. Merry Christmas kids – your parents thought the product would work but we'll be returning it to Target instead.Milton Mike

I was so happy to actually find this bundle. If you can find this during the pandemic for a good price do not hesitate, but it immediately. This has been so much fun for my family and friends. The guitar is my personal favorite but no matter what role you take on, you are 100% going to have a blast. They also have an amazing sound track with a lot more to offer via DLC.delorein.h

Rockband 4 is the definitive experience on PS4. Guitar Hero Live sucks on so many levels. This however keeps the basic formula fresh! With a better wireless guitar controller (which took me a while to get used to but now I love it!) and updated graphics and effects, Rockband remains true to what made these games so great (unlike GH Live, seriously that game sucks). HOWEVER your enjoyment of all these types of games always comes down to lag compensation, if you haven't got your TV set up just right you're gonna have a bad time. It took me weeks to get mine set up just right, but once I did I was shredding through songs on expert like I was born to it! BE WARNED this is very much a DLC song. The on disc track list is the weakest of any Rock Band/ Guitar Hero game for a long time. I literally only bought this for that one 'Mumford and Sons' and 'The Killers' song :p But after sinking an embarrassing amount of money into downloadable tracks, I now have over 300 songs in my library and it's GREAT! I play this ALL THE TIME! Thankfully, Harmonix have had the best post-game launch support I've seen in ages, with regular game updates that actually improve performance and fix little bugs, and by far the best part is that there has been a CONSTANT stream of new DLC almost every week, with not just old favourites, but a tonne of modern songs that a popular right now! I love checking each week and seeing a song I love hearing on the radio being brought to Rockband 4! Another major downside is that although your old guitar and drum controllers will work with this game, you cannot sign in to an PSN account with them, so your scores will never be saved AND it causes alot of performance issues in band play. I HOPE it's not just a problem with the game like in the previous titles where it works fine when there's only one player, but as soon as you get two people playing it lags and makes you miss notes that you hit. If this is still a problem even if you have all modern controllers then THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! I SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED WHEN I'M GOING 100% ON A SONG AND JUST BECAUSE MY FRIEND ISN'T DOING SO WELL IT SAYS I MISS NOTES. But other than that the game is incredibly fun. I am totally addicted to this game! Love the songs, I've already beat the game on easy and now working on the medium level. Lots of great songs and so much fun. Love the Run DMC bit, lots of cool cover band songs too. I skipped thru the Aerosmith interviews because I was so anxious to play. I totally "wussed out" on the guitar battle challenge. Even on easy it was way too hard for me. Hate that it actually says that I "wussed out" on that part on my "career". Guess I have to just keep practicing. :)My hands are all cramped up because I just can't put this thing down! Like that the songs are mostly edited so my kids don't hear any 4 letter words while I'm playing.thriftyhouse13

I just love all guitar hero or rock band games. I played these games before I joined band in school. I love the musical aspect of it to keep rhythm and beats going and making sure you hit the correct button at the correct time. I feel like this help d me into the music world.tif.d

I am not sure why every one would give this a 10, because of the taste? How does that help you with your goals? You should be reading the list of ingredients, those ingredients after the proteins listed, like: Maltodextrin, Mono- And Diglycerides, Dipotassium Phosphate, Sodium Silicoaluminate, Disodium Phosphate, Silicon Dioxide, Artificial Flavors, Salt, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium. So I see fats, salts, sugars, artificial flavors, etc. Look them up. To me that's not a 10. So, maybe it tastes good, but how will it help me with my goals…it won't. So many reviews on here are hung up on taste. If a supp taste lousy but works, I'll get it down…but supps shouldn't be about a taste contest.
