I am so thankful that I found one at such a cheap price and in this great of a condition. This piece was taken care of as far as dust, rust, wear and tear go. And completeness. It was missing the dongle which did make it a good bit cheaper. Thankfully, I had a copy of the same model. The copy that I had, the dongle worked but not the guitar. Had it not have had that I would have just waited until the price dropped To me the setlist is bad and I figured GH:Mix would do the same thing the others did. I didn't think it would be any better than Guitar Hero World Tour GH:WT and definitely not as good as GH Metallica GH:M. I was right, again the song list had the worst choice of songs with the exception of 3 Doors Down, Iron, Maiden, and Bon Jovi. As for the graphics there quite a bite better than any of the others. The create a rocker is almost the same as in the past. Lot's of custimazation but very few decent hair choices. The chothes all all the same, might and I stress might be 2 or 3 new peices. But overall same old same old.. The competitive games are ok if you can play someone as good as you are you will have a blast. But for me it still gets old fast. I haven't tried the online portion of the game so I will not judge how that is. GH Mix: I thought for sure GH:M's GH Mix would not be beat. I am supprised to say I am wrong, for the most part. They almost out did them themselves on this. There needs to be more Metal tones, it's only got 2 good ones. I think there are way too many clean and oddball tones. They removed too many Keyboard tones as well. Back to the guitar though if you have GH:WT or GH:M I am sure you know what happens when you do quick power cord changes, you get that choppy cut sound. That was the only thing I had against GH:M's GH Mix and figured this one would be no different. I am very happy to say I was wrong. I tried everything I could to make it mess up but failed epicly. It isn't without problems though. After watching some videos on youtube of other peoples songs and thought that you could have power chords and lead on one chart, which would have been really cool. Sadly another dissapointment, all you can do is activate other notes so it just looks like you played the power chord. So that is an all but useless feature. GHTunes… Is like grass that never gets mowed… It would be half way neat if 99% of it wasn't crap… All you find on there is immpossible this or to hard that… GHTunes should have a "Remove it" feature where if the song gets enough of those votes it should be permemently removed from GHTunes… That would save alot of space and let all the good ones be heard. And thats pretty much it for my review of Guitar Hero 5. Ill end it with an over all rating on some of the aspects. Scale is 1 to 5 with 5 as best. Presentation: 3 Reminds me a lot of the older Guitar Heroes. Some new game modes but thats it. Graphics: 4 Very good graphics easily there best. The fret boards suck though. Its the same thing for all characters unlike the older GHs which where different. Gameplay: 2 Same old, same old, play each song once which is okay with me 96% of the songs I could only stand to play once anyway but it is getting old, Rock Band is far better. The guitar is probably the best part of the bundle pack. It amay not look as cool as the Gibson or Worriors of Rock Axe guitar but unlike those guitars, it does come with the "neck slide" feature (same as the Metallica bundle) which I personaly think should come with all the guitars. Overall this game receives about a 6/10. Let's break it down… Graphics – 6/10 Come on…I can see bumpers smashing in racing games, more blood than I care to see in shooter games, and even chocolate bubbling in the pond in a children's game… and I can't get better graphics than this for my favorite XBox 360 game? Better luck on Guitar Hero 4. The one improvement I have enjoyed is the better display hud (your score). Sound 10/10 Some of the songs aren't the greatest sound quality (like Boston) but the sound is as good as Guitar Hero predecessors. Overall the track list was top notch. I'd love to see some more popular songs for some of my less savvy classic rock friends, but overall the music is great and will keep you rocking all night long. Overall – 9/10 Judging this game against Guitar Hero 1 and 2, it is a better game and worthy of a sequel. However, judging it against the new Rock Band… it loses some appeal because Rock Band offers more options for more people (mic and drums). If you're looking for a game that will give you awesome songs, lots of fun for all skill levels, and a 4-player mode, you should go with Rock Band. (note: the Rock Band guitar sucks so you'll want to use a Guitar Hero guitar) The new wireless Gibson guitar that comes in the Guitar Hero 3 package is a must have. It's a little easier to hold than previous guitars, I think the buttons are slightly easier to use, and although I thought being wireless might affect some play I can't notice any lag or difficulties. Overall, I think any Guitar Hero is an awesome game. Guitar Hero III I found to be more advanced than the previous two. There are easier cheat codes. Codes you only need to enable once, then the code is stored to be used as many times as the user wishes without "typing" it in again. It seems that the levels are even harder than the other Guitar Heros. Hard on Guitar Hero III seems to be harder than hard on Guitar Hero II. I still would want the developers to put songs on that everyone will know. The majority of the songs are good, some are excellent, but some I never even heard of before. Nevertheless, Guitar Hero III is a great game and a great stress reliever. I use it after a stressful day. Come home, crank up my stereo, turn on the subwoofer, and play loud and hard. I bought this product because I was in need of a new guitar for my Guitar Hero collection. I found this one and it had a very attractive price for the product. I have not had any troubles with any of the Guitar Hero products so I felt good about this purchase. When the item arrived, that was when I found out that I had really gotten a great deal. The guitar was excellent. The added items really made the deal great. I found the guitar case right away. At first I was unsure about use of the case. Once I looked at it further I found that it not only provides a cover and some protection for the guitar, but it has two great pockets for storage. The lower pocket can hold six Guitar Hero games with room for manuals. The upper pocket is plenty large. I keep the dongal for the guitar in it, the rolled up guitar strap, and even a small snack. I have gotten this case/guitar for both of my children now so they can easly keep track of their own guitars and straps and dongals. This is a great insentive to purchase the combo pack.northernltz

I am totally addicted to this game! Love the songs, I've already beat the game on easy and now working on the medium level. Lots of great songs and so much fun. Love the Run DMC bit, lots of cool cover band songs too. I skipped thru the Aerosmith interviews because I was so anxious to play. I totally "wussed out" on the guitar battle challenge. Even on easy it was way too hard for me. Hate that it actually says that I "wussed out" on that part on my "career". Guess I have to just keep practicing. :)My hands are all cramped up because I just can't put this thing down! Like that the songs are mostly edited so my kids don't hear any 4 letter words while I'm playing.thriftyhouse13

You should be reading the list of ingredients, those ingredients after the proteins listed, like: Maltodextrin, Mono- And Diglycerides, Dipotassium Phosphate, Sodium Silicoaluminate, Disodium Phosphate, Silicon Dioxide, Artificial Flavors, Salt, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium. So I see fats, salts, sugars, artificial flavors, etc. Look them up. To me that's not a 10. So, maybe it tastes good, but how will it help me with my goals…it won't. So many reviews on here are hung up on taste. If a supp taste lousy but works, I'll get it down…but supps shouldn't be about a taste contest. My son is going to be three and he loves going into Best Buy to play the drum setups they have. Instead of buying him an expensive drum set, I was able to get him and the rest of us in the family the Guitar Hero World Tour (Complete Band Game) with the drums, guitars and mic. We bought an extra guitar so the whole family could play. My wife plays the bass, my son the drums, my daughter on vocals and I play the guitar. We have a blast. I just wish they had some more of the appropriate music for the family but I can always get the other bands that are out there that we all like. Too bad I cant import alot of the Christian music we listen to, like Newsboys, tobyMac and Skillet! Maybe they will get involved and let us use their music for a worthy cause.manuel.perez

I decided to buy this game because first of all this game was cheap and it game with the guitar which is really amazing and a way better upgrade then the guitar hero 3 guitar. The actual game on the other hand is a different story. The game itself actually has some pretty good songs on the game such as, Crazy Train, B.Y.O.B, Hotel California. It also has a music studio which i must say is pretty pointless unless you want to put your entire life into making something you can listen to. But it is fun to play crazy customs people online make. The graphics are also amazingly good everything is a step up from guitar hero 3 including the full band. The one thing i cannot stand about the game is the charts. Some of the songs are so stupidly charted. Not to mention the annoying purple notes which are supposed to help but indeed mess you up. The slide bar on the guitar was supposed to help but its kind of hard to use when you are in the middle of actually using it then all of a sudden it changes back to regular buttons. Rockband has actually got that part down. The singing on the game is pretty hard to the free form sections in vocals is idiotic. Because you have know idea what to sing and how to sing it. Also another error is you can't get a 100% on the song with vocals, which I have heard they have fixed in future games like Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits. I have yet to experience the drum set. But i have heard the pads out of the box had problems with it. But this game is an Average to Below Average. I bought the guitar pack also before this. My guitar strum bar doesn't work from that one and the slide bar strums automatically. I bought this set for the drums and guitar, thinking it was just the individual controller's mistake last time. It works fine, but after maybe a half an hour of having it on, the strum bar strums for you in the game. The drums seem to have sensitivity problems, which can be fixed, but is very frustrating. The game is fun, but some songs seem very long and then at the very end, get hard; now, you've wasted about 6 minutes just to fail it. The presentation and songs, in my opinion, are not up to the standard Rock Band 2 set, especially with the abundance of downloadable content which personalizes the game more than fun, yet low quality song creation. The game looks great graphically, but the note track is small and looks less professional. The notes turn all the same color during a star power sequence, and if playing the drums without being used to the set-up, it can be somewhat confusing. I'm not sure about Rock Band 2's controllers compared to these, but my original Rock Band controllers are still functional. Three drums cracked, but hits still register, and the whammy bar is broken, but still can be used. Although the GHWT controllers can be sent in for a replacement, it is much easier just to avoid the game. Overall, the game is fun. Without some of the problems faced, most importantly the lacking hardware, this would be a great game.superunknown9

RedOctane was bought out shortly after the release of their first game, Guitar Hero – something to be grateful of since Harmonix, the ones who created Frequency and Amplitude among many others were the ones who did it. With this in mind, you can expect the game to be even better. The new Cherry Gibson SG guitar controller is much, much better and easier to use than the original; unlike the first all-plastic controller, this one has some sort of resin on it that makes hitting the notes easier. Also, the note buttons, whammy bar, and strummer work better than before. And who can pass up the Cherry color? Like the controller, the gameplay is much improved on as well. Hammer-ons and pull-offs are easier this time around; where you had to have enarly perfect timing before, this one gives you a wider timespan to hit them. Easy mode is still easy, but expert mode has you playing every single note. The user interface is improved, showing you a statistics screen including how many notes you hit, your average multiplier, and the percentage of notes you hit correctly in each section. And FINALLY, you have a Practice mode! There are more songs, and a wider variety of them too, including death metal and techno. It still has flaws. One of the more noticeable flaws occurs when you start a game on another difficulty. When you switch difficulties, your guitar stays the same. This means that when you unlock the Grim Ripper in Hard and go to your game on Easy, your character will have the Scythe guitar. Or when you pick the Cherry Gibson for Expert, your Grim Ripper on Hard will be using the Cherry Gibson, even though he's not allowed to change guitars. Despite this, its still a great game. The game is addictive. The video and audio are incredible. The game veries enough throughout play to maintain interest. There are different difficulty levels so that every family member can play, even when competing against one another. Negatives: I know this is a "rock and roll" themed game and rated teen, but there's really no reason to mix satanic references into the game. A little cleanup between that and chosen songs (lyrics) and this game could easily be rated E for everyone. Maybe they wanted the teen rating to keep teenagers and young adults interested. Overall this game receives about a 6/10. Let's break it down… Graphics – 6/10 Come on…I can see bumpers smashing in racing games, more blood than I care to see in shooter games, and even chocolate bubbling in the pond in a children's game… and I can't get better graphics than this for my favorite XBox 360 game? Better luck on Guitar Hero 4. The one improvement I have enjoyed is the better display hud (your score). Sound 10/10 Some of the songs aren't the greatest sound quality (like Boston) but the sound is as good as Guitar Hero predecessors. Overall the track list was top notch. I'd love to see some more popular songs for some of my less savvy classic rock friends, but overall the music is great and will keep you rocking all night long. Overall – 9/10 Judging this game against Guitar Hero 1 and 2, it is a better game and worthy of a sequel. However, judging it against the new Rock Band… it loses some appeal because Rock Band offers more options for more people (mic and drums). If you're looking for a game that will give you awesome songs, lots of fun for all skill levels, and a 4-player mode, you should go with Rock Band. (note: the Rock Band guitar sucks so you'll want to use a Guitar Hero guitar) The new wireless Gibson guitar that comes in the Guitar Hero 3 package is a must have. It's a little easier to hold than previous guitars, I think the buttons are slightly easier to use, and although I thought being wireless might affect some play I can't notice any lag or difficulties. Guitar Hero is the newest musical hit that seems to have taken the world by storm selling 5.9 million copies so far. Wanna test out your Rock star skills? Think that you have magic hands and can complete with the worlds greatest guitarists? Graphics 4/5 Not enough has changed to from previous GH titles to be amazed, sorta like the Sports games differences between the 07 and 08 games are slight game engine upgrades with roster and stat changes. Though there are some notables I have to report. Crisper details and easier to use menu setup. The game is visually stunning compared to the previous titles. The characters are more textured and the cinema scenes are engaging. Between sets, you are subjected to an animated scene in which you receive an invitation to play at the next venue. Gameplay – 3/5 I have some bone to pick with the way the controls were setup, mostly with how the tabbing of the songs. I found on Easy mode to have more difficult song tabs then Expert mode, while Expert mode seemed dummied down. Then theres the battle system to take into account. You go and battle against the greats of the Rock world. Some of them seem too easy even on Expert mode they seem like its still on Easy. .Theres single, Career, Co-Op ,two player Co-op, Battle and Online play. Replay value is through the roof. Soundtrack – 5/5 Let me break it down for ya, theres 71 playable songs – 46 of which are "main setlist" songs, while the remaining 25 are "bonus tracks." In total, 51 of the game's songs are master recordings (the highest total of any Guitar Hero release). The soundtrack features such songs as The Rolling Stones' "Paint It, Black", The Smashing Pumpkins' "Cherub Rock", Beastie Boys' "Sabotage", Tenacious D's "The Metal", Weezer's "My Name is Jonas", Muse's "Knights of Cydonia", Kiss' "Rock and Roll All Nite", Alice Cooper's "School's Out", Foghat's "Slow Ride", Metallica's "One", and Heart's "Barracuda."[32] It also features re-recordings of the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the U.K." and Living Colour's "Cult of Personality" specifically for Guitar Hero III, as the original master tracks could not be found. I have only played a few other Guitar Hero games and I like this one best.
