This is a great gibson les paul with lots of character. there are a variety of scratches and dings – it's obviously been loved and used a lot by the previous owner. however almost all the cosmetic wear and tear is on the back of the guitar. from the front it looks almost good as newi overall, it is in fantastic playing shape especially considering the age. the neck finish is worn down on the back but still feels like it's smooth: see photos. the action is low and the sound is great. it feels really good to play on this neck. pickup on the neck is original , the bridge pickup is replaced with a carvin pickup. original hard shell case also has some signs of wear on the outside.featuresgold hardwareebony fretboard with trapezoid inlaysfingerboard radius:12"neck thickness: .82" (1st fret), .97" (12th fret)volume and tone controls for each pickupweight:

1996 gibson les paul studio gem in sapphire blue. the neck has had a professional crack repair at the headstock/neck. i have owned this guitar since 2009, and bought it repaired. the headstock is very stable. it is currently strung with new ernie ball 10s. the neck is straight, and the russ rod works correctly. i have never had a need to adjust it though. the frets have little to no wear. the action is good. all the hardware, and electronics are original. no soldier joints disturbed. the gold plating on the hardware is in excellent condition with very little to no wear. the body has a few minor nicks, and the back of the body has very very fine rash (in the clear) in one spot. the rash is very minimal at best. most people would not mention, and this guitar is in better condition than most 26-year-old guitars out there. it comes with a wooden aftermarket case, and the original warranty card. please ask all questions before purchasing.
