Guitar Case For Fender Strat For Sale (Jan 2023 Update)

I received one of these cases with me Fender American Elite Shawbucker Stratocaster. I've loved the case, no problems and has alot of protection. I decided to buy a "beater" Fender Player Strat that I didn't have to worry as much about as my other premium guitars. It unfortunately does not come with a case. I was a little worried it wouldn't fit the same, but it's perfect. This case can definitely take a beating and protect your precious guitar. I highly recommend this case if you need a case for a Stratocaster.Michael

This case fit my MIJ Jazzmaster like a dream! I was able to get a discount with Musician's Friend as the previous case I was going to buy was on backorder. This case has far better specs than the SKB case I was going to buy and its well worth the money. Supports the neck properly, and has a nice compartment. The only thing I wish this case had more of was I wish the compartment was big enough to fit extra pickguards. Its a minor gripe and still has plenty of room for tuners, strings, picks, and the trem arm. Bottom Line: If you have a Jazzmaster that you're going to travel with or you want to keep it safe, then this is a must buy!Tim

Purchased this case for my Fender Precision Bass. Mostly, will be kept in my studio, and occasionally on a few short gigs. Case seems sturdy, and I like the compartment size suitable for a strap, cable, etc. Also features a locking latch which is very handy. Pricewise, its a very nice case for my needs, without going into more expensive flight cases for touring. Very satisfied and should last for quite a while. Would buy this product again. Decent case for the money. Dimensions are a little off from whats advertised. Lower bout width is around 13-1/4 instead of 13-1/2 so my BC Rich Eagle fits a little snug. Overall, no more than I use it, itll work. Sure beats paying $300 for the actual BC Rich case. Also, if your headpiece sets at a steeper angle, it will put pressure on the headpiece. Depth is more for a Fender style headpiece.xv1700at3

Perfect bag for the strat mini. It keeps the guitar protected with enough space for some essentials accessories – cable, tuner, etc. I bought this for my 8 year old daughter and the straps to use as a backpack are perfect for her to carry.Octavio

My grand daughter has. 3/4 size strat and finding a hard shell case that wasn't custom was impossible for under 1000 bucks. So I found this case and while not hard shell it is very very adequate. It protects the guitar and is easy her to carry. If you need this type of case this fender product will not disappoint.TOMMY

This case is 3/4 size and fits the Squier Mini Stratocaster like a glove. Soft microfiber inside and polyester denier on the outside like luggage material is tough. It has about 3/8 or 10 mm per side of padding. If your looking for travel or professional case for your guitar this is not the case for you as it can be punctured or impact the instrument inside during travel. This is for home usage and light travel to lessons or just protect the guitar around the house. I think the price of guitar cases are totally inflated and to get one on sale is something one has to do to stretch the dollar. Okay, that being said, this case fits my China made Fender strat Squier to a tee. The eye catching tweed fits the Fender vibe. If you noticed my cons was durability i.e. the cases tweed look is attractive, but you wonder as road gigs pile up if the tweed doesnt start to tear and expose the raw components exterior of the case underneath? If they had lacquered the tweed exterior, the case itself would have a fighting chance to slip and slide into vans and carriage areas with little thought of rips and tears it would acquire in a short time. Again, I dont gig much these days, but if I was looking at a case long term that could withstand the road, this case would questionable unless you "handle with care" when you transport and load and unload your gear.James R

I didn't feel like spending over $200 and waiting until who knows when, for a Gibson Explorer case, so I picked one of these up. For the money, it's a good case. I carry my guitars with me to shows, so they are always in my vehicle, so this case does the job. I will say it feels a tad more sturdy than the Gator version of this case, and it's slightly smaller, which is a good thing given how large an Explorer case has to be. The only improvement I could wish for, is to make it tad smaller still. There's still several inches of room from the headstock to the edge of the case. Overall, for the money, I'm very happy with the case.Tony

I purchased this knowing that it wouldn't be a super durable road case but adequate for storage and playing out now and then. In those ways, it met my expectations. The case is made of very thin plywood, but not so flimsy that it can't function as a good light duty case. The hardware appears to be of decent quality and all of the latches lined up well. The lining was neatly applied and actually fairly soft and plush. It is a universal fit case, so I wasn't expecting it to be completely form fitting to my Telecaster. It will move around a bit in the case when you transport it. It could use better neck support, as well. But overall, not bad for the price. Where this product really came up short is with the application of the tweed covering. The tweed was applied over wood chips and small voids in the wood frame. No effort was made in sanding or prepping the wood prior to applying the cover material. This is only cosmetic, but looks really sloppy and substandard. Maybe I just got a rough one. I didn't expect perfection at this price, but I don't think this case ever should have left the factory like this.Pat

Beautifully designed and very attractive. It is perfect for short-term transportation of a Fender guitar. Well padded, with pockets for carrying extras. Excellent value for such a reasonable price. I love my Fender Telecaster and American Stratocaster, and I trust this gig-bag to keep them safe in short-term usage: taking to gigs or carrying the guitar personally. Obviously, for journeys where the guitar might be in the hold of an aeroplane or a van/bus, a hard case would be preferable, but if you are transporting a guitar personally, then this great-looking bag does the job brilliantly. Perfect fit for Telecaster – just snug enough. Padding is adequate for general use – glad I chooses 10mm over 5. Pockets hold cable, extra strings and picks but full size sheet music and such must be folded. Comfortable handles, good zippers, and backpack straps are padded and comfortable. This case has a narrow profile which stores easily. Materials are of high quality and appear durable. Grabbing case by top can cause tuners to move causing need for re-tune.geri-82

At first glance it looks pretty minimal, but I wanted something lightweight for a guitar that would be carefully handled–by me. Although the padding is quite thin, it has a nice heft to it and provides better cushioning than some bags I've used that are much thicker. Also, it fits a Strat like a glove, and the padding is in all the right places, so there's no flopping around inside the bag, so the guitar is really very well protected. There's only an outside accessory pocket, but big enough for a strap and extra strings. If you need a lot of features or think the guitar will be handled roughly, then maybe this isn't for you. But for most players, it's a nice bag, very light in weight and provides very good protection if you use some common sense…Lefty

Overall: I bought this for my Pro Series Soloist SL2Q MAH. It fits perfectly, snug so no worries of it bouncing around in there. It doesn't have a cover to the accessory pockets, however like I said the case is snug so when closed nothing falls out not even my loose picks. The latches on this case are probably my favorite feature as well as the TSA locks. Found out yesterday when I checked it for my flight was that TSA has a master key to this type of case, so you don't have to dig your keys out to open it for them, however on the flip side, not sure if I like that they have a key to open the case. However it arrived in great shape, nothing missing, they locked it back up which i was happy with. Seems to be very well built and didn't have any damage or scratches when I got it after my flight.Ryan

le I don't have a lot of experience with other brands' cases, this Jackson case is perfect for what I was looking for – something that will protect my guitar from its environment. I bought my first Jackson from Musicians Friend almost exactly 20 years ago, so my needs have changed a bit from when I was in high school and lugging my guitar around in the back of cars. It's now more about keeping the guitar safe when stowed away: protected from my wife just tossing it wherever she thinks it should be stored, protected from it then falling because it was hastily placed against something, protected from stuff falling on it because of other items placed hastily above or near it, and protected from my 2 and 5 year old who are all too interested in playing with the noise maker inside (which of course I'm more than happy to let them experiment when I'm supervising, but that's not as fun as sneaking it out when dad isn't home). This case protects from all of that, while also being more compact than the Jackson hard shell cases from the 90's. That's not even taking into account the much improved hardware, handle, and TSA lock (many of the older cases have locks, hinges, etc busted off). This case is also tighter on the tremolo, and it has two storage compartments as opposed to one.. Functional attributes aside, it's more aesthetic, IMO. I bought this bag to carry my Gibson ES 175 to gigs, since the hard case is heavy and I have too much stuff to carry already. It is light-weight, keeps its shape sufficiently to provide support and as much protection as you can expect from a bag, yet I can fold it in half and stash it inside another gear bag to get it out of the way on the stand. It has comfortable backpack straps, which is great if you have to walk any distance with your hands full of music and keys or whatever. It has three compartments on the front, each easily accessible and ideal for picks, tuners, metronomes, extra strings, foot stands, iPad, or however much you dare put up against your precious guitar. The largest compartment appears to be big enough to fit standard 8-1/2×11 paper, though I'm all digital these days. Best of all, it has two handles — one on the front and one on the side, invaluable when sliding your guitar in and out of the car.DNWord

I was looking for an affordable case preferably made by Fender for my new Tele. I took a punt and choose this urban style tele bag. It actually fits the guitar very well with little excess room. You cant fit too much stuff in the pockets but its just right for my needs. Feels quite well made, good size, some padding, a couple of pockets, a nice/different colour (which makes me a bit dizzy if I stare at it for too long 🙂 and an extra handle above the pockets. Really like this bag. Cant fault it for the price. Would recommend.700long

This Bag had more padding than I expected, based on the Reviews. Of course, I wouldn't recommend it for regular Gigging, Traveling etc. But for around the house, taking your Guitar to practice it's fine. The Fender logo in Red is a classy touch. The design of the gig bag makes it more suitable for right handed guitars. My left handed tele deluxe has to be put in backwards because of the angled top on the bag. Why couldn’t they make it with a straight top? It’s bad enough being left handed for guitars without unnecessary non-ambidextrous designs of gig bags! I purchased this item to protect my Gibson Les Paul Custom Signature Series Guitar. As reviewed, the interior is extremely plush. The exterior looks quite dependable for all intent and purposes. Like others noted, the points of contention are the metal pieces attaching the handle preventing a 5 star rating. It is illogical to spend so much time on every detail "except" the parts supporting ALL the weight of the instrument. It appears that with a given amount of weight shift, the support brackets may snap off allowing the case to fall down in the direction of the headstock and potentially cause damage from impact. Since this case will very rarely see time outside of my home, I feel fairly certain the few times I need to transport my axe, I will be careful.1amun_re

Cheap shell covered with vinyl. Cheap handle. Cover is falling off where the case curves in. Stitching is a joke, not real. It should sell for about $40. At least it fits my guitar. Not even close in quality to a Road Runner for about the same price.nolens

i ordered this with intentions of getting the most for my money. I don't have big bucks to spend, but I wanted certain things and I got what I hoped for. I wanted enough length to accommodate the longer-than-typical headstock on my LP copy Bradley. The measurements were clearly lined out. The rest of the fit was perfect and plush. My only criticism is the metal bracket that secures the nice handle seems a little thin, but I expected there to be a little give-and-take somewhere, for this price. I'm pretty handy and will figure out a way to reinforce it. If not for this I'd give it 5 stars! FYI, Standard Shipping meant US Post Office, at least in my case. Not worthy of being called fender. It's like I bought a knock off brand. This was supposed to be for a Christmas present and so I ordered the dark blue one. It had the same issue of the leather falling off on the inside. The only thing keeping it together was a thin amount of glue. It was falling apart. So we returned it for another one. And got this light blue one. The problem was worse. We are having to glue it on ourselves. But honestly this is unacceptable. Not only was the leather unglued but there was several holes in the outside, and the fender logo inside is just plastic wrap on top of a metal button. My husband is dealing with it because I got it for him but I expected better. He loves fender, and I notice quality details right away and this wasn't it. They need to reevaluate what they are doing to save money. Definitely would not gonna buy again or recommend to anyone that wants a case that will last a long time. I purchased the tweed/red case and really love it. I had read some negative review in the past so I was a little hesitant but the one I got arrived in perfect condition (quality materials, latches all line up, etc.) and just looks fantastic. One thing I would like others to know (should be more common knowledge and the case should come with a small instruction sheet, for which I would give a Fender/G&G a full 5/5 stars), is that at first you might think the case is a little small because of the padding — it is actually fine as long as you know that you need to "pre-squish" the sturdy padding and then properly insert the guitar (and also let it get settled for a bit). Indeed, this particular tweed case has very sturdy padding where the headstock and bottom of the guitar touch (also a little on the sides). This is a good thing in the long run but at first it appears as if the guitar might not fit (either a Tele or Strat with regular size headstock). There are forums explaining that it is best to put the head stock in first and then slowly push the bottom in. I would also add another very important step before that… With a little patience and elbow grease (but careful not to overdo it), spend a bit of time carefully squishing down the padding on both ends. After a little while, check (and re-check as necessary) to see if the guitar is getting easier to fit in (be especially careful with the high "e" string tuner when test fitting to avoid getting bad pressure on it). Your patience will pay off when you get to the point where the guitar fits very snug all around (without any loose movement). I suppose they could use more squishy material for the padding for an easier initial fit but it seems that would risk a loose fit in the long term. Since these cases are more for vintage vibe than, say, super-duty TSA-approved for heavy travel, it is more good than bad that the padding needs a bit of initial coaxing to get the best fit so it stays more snug long term.JOSE

This case is not what I expected from a G&G case. I've owned numerous G&G cases over the years and currently own two that came with my 70th anniversary Broadcaster and AVRI 62 Telecaster and this case is not the same quality as those. The first thing I noticed is that this case is extremely light. That's because it's made of thin, flimsy material and the top will flex under light pressure.The overall quality is nowhere close to the older G&G cases; tolex, latches, handle…everything. Also, my guitars fit very snugly in the older cases and with this one, my Tele has room to slide back and forth about a quarter of an inch. These cases aren't bad, they're just not great quality and what you'd expect from G&G. In my opinion they're a little overpriced for what you get, too. Also, be aware that the "orange" plush interior is closer to red than orange and does not look like the photos.Adam

This is a good functional case. My Les Paul guitar fits snugly inside it and is well protected. The only problem I might have had with it is at the vinyl is a little fragile. While driving I had 412 Marshall cabinet on its side when I made a turn it fell over onto the case. The case did not suffer any structural damage but the vinyl shows marks where the cabinet layed over on it. if it were a tolex covered case you would not have seen any marks or damage. but being that my Les Paul is in an expensive model I couldn't see buying a big expensive case for it. Got this on sale for less than forty dineros and I'd say it's definitely worth more than that. Is this the same quality as a Gibson or Epiphone hard case? Probably not. It does, however offer MUCH more protection than a gig bag, some of which cost more than this hard case. I have a mid 90's Epiphone Les Paul gold sparkle that I absolutely love. I trust this case 100% to get me back and forth to rehearsals and gigs. I wouldn't use it as a flight case, but there are flight specific cases out there so there's no need to skimp if you fly a lot with your guitars. The lining is plush and the neck is supported perfectly. The little compartment under the neck has plenty of room for strings, some small tools and a strap. There are 3 latches on the front and one on the back. Again, this is not quite on par with the OEM cases, but it is definitely worth the price, especially when it's on sale.Fairlane Dave

I bought 3 of these, 2 Les Paul style and one for my dreadnought. All 3 are good quality, my guitars fit perfectly. A little heavy, but very sturdy, with lots of latches and good hinges. The only items I wish for are a 2nd neck support and a strap to secure the neck, like some of the high end Gibson cases, but these cases are as nice or nicer than most factory cases. As my instrument collection grows, I can see myself purchasing more of these.Jeff

Purchased this case in "Brown" and it's beautiful. Very well made and a little lighter than the epiphone brand Case. The gold hinges and latches are stronger than I had anticipated, Should last for years. The interior is solid and covering is just as well made as it's competitors brand, epiphone. It does not carry it't name sprawled in gold ink across the top of the case, yet does have a small metal name plate attached to the side by the handle. You should be well please with this purchase knowing your guitar is well protected. My epiphone Casino fits perfect.kerrymcginnis
