Reviews:
This does the job it's supposed to do. I used it for home practice, and for stage monitoring, with a PodGo, a Helix LT, and my friends Headrush floor unit. I've also used it to monitor when I recorded via the PodGo to a PC. The sound is good across the volume range, including for playing quietly at home levels during the day or evening. I'd still recommend good cans though if you plan to play at 2am and share a wall with a neighbor. It also handled stage monitoring exceptionally, with a live acoustic uncaged drummer, a bass player using a Harte head and 4×10, and a piano player who seems to think that the object of the game is to drive the keys into the floor. Oh… and a sax next to me honking like a flock of geese. No issue hearing myself, and it reproduced the signal with full integrity to the house speakers. A quick tip… do not sit it on a carpeted surface. I did notice that this greatly changes the sound. I have it in a monitor cradle on stage and on an amp stand at home and it works great. Just a heads up. In summation, a great solution for the average player.MadProfMisal
Overall: If only I had known about these the day they came out!. To be fair, I've been attempting to find the Holy Grail …er, perfect marriage between my quality floor modelers loaded with my custom, personal patches to ACCURATELY reproduce what I have programmed into the floor rigs. Big amps, stay home! I have 1×10" cabs,2×12" cabs,4×10" cabs, sealed choices, all kinds of speakers. I am blessed, except they ALL colour my GT-1 hand-tweaked patches/presets in live situations. I can dial 'em in, but need a recovery period from ear frequency overload and load in/outs.Enter the HeadRush FRFR-08 powered cabs, exactly what I wanted and needed.Sheesh, they make all my floor modelers sound like they do when I record via USB,stereo 1'4" cables, and even send a line out to PA or mixer! You can run through guitar amps but you'll get the phasing issue pronto.Look, I have been playing live gigs since 1981,non-stop. I play Gibson,Fenders,PRS,Ibanez big $ rigs, and will not compromise my tone. I'm too old to now, mofos! It's just all the skate slams n such have made lugging gear a real task. These 108's even work for stereo tops and a sub, a studio level wedge monitor, etc. We have recently purchased another set of the 108 and 112's, and that's in the middle of all this C-19. WE have survived by downsizing/adjusting,like everyone else. Thanks zZounds. Quality gear, small footprints, etc for DJ OR our bands gigs(excellent drum monitors, btw) These are perfection. Call zZounds, they know more than me but WOWZA,these make great gtr amps! Please trust the value of these! I take at least one to…everywhere!
Sound: These meet a lot of needs, are tough as Texas women, and sound GREAT. Features: Loved the XLR in's n out,w Line out to board and quality IEC plug/cable Ease of Use: Perfectly tuned nut has options! Quality: Beautiful and functional both! Value: Yes,but I was supposed to get a scratch and dent savings but didn't . THAT SUCKED Manufacturer Support: no The Wow Factor: It fits a niche Overall: We have pair of the 12" and their flat response and quality build have gave our prized floor modeler's a whole nuther' lease in the studio, the road, and @ home. We grabbed a set of the 8" cabs for a BOSS GT-1 stereo rig and they just nail it,every time. HeadRush rule, regarding these flat response cabs at these rates. I'd prefer a $1,500+ powered cab but the FRFR can't be beat until you DO pay that much.Another mind-blowing thing is they work so damn well as a second A/B set of recording studio monitors,it's caused us to reconsider our current set primaries. Kinda hurt but can't complain at the HeadRush vale.Oh, and the work perfect as tops of 10" or 12" sub. 3-wqay PA setups. These are value workhorses that will make your Kemnper Profiler sound as good as ever, your cheap Zoom like studio grade, and compliment our BOSS and Katana gear as good as our High$ PA cabs.ARGGGHHH, wish we would have known all this sooner, but hey, we are finally satisfied,Hombre's.

Reviews:
I bought this cabinet with the intention of beefing up my Hot Rod deluxe which it did. The combination of closed back from this cabinet and the open back of the deluxe resulted in a much more richer sound not to mention that at 4 ohms with the cabinet the amp seems to be more responsive to my playing. It also looks cool sitting under the Hot Rod Deluxe III. It not only sounds great with the Hot Rod but with my 30 watt PRS amp head, a Quilter 200 and boy was I surprised when I plugged in my Mesa Mark IV. Awesome little cabinet for the money. Thank you American Musical Supply.Carlos Perez professional musici
This was bought to add an extension cabinet to my mesa boogie nomad 100. My nomad was a single 12 speaker with an open back cab and needed a little more bass. the sealed fender cabinet was the exact same dimensions and fits nicely under the boogie. Sound was as I expected, bass increase as well as a tight sound from the closed back cabinet. Also raised the nomad to a better overall height. Very happy with my purchase. I did not give it 5 stars for several reasons. 1) made in Mexico which I expected for the price but that is the problem! Speaker jack fell out of the back of the cabinet when I removed the cable. Compared to yesteryear and I have owned a lot of fender equipment construction was much better. To repair the speaker jack and not go through returning the cabinet I opened the back to see what holds the jack in place. Half the screws used to seal the back of the cabinet were to short and already stripped out. There were two different length screws used and none were long enough to do the job properly! They were #6 wood screws so a trip to Lowes for proper hardware about 8 duckets worth of new fasteners (went to #8 wood screws and new finishing washers) took care of the problem. The jack is another issue that will require a large fender washer and a new jack with longer threads. about 6 duckets in hardware to repair properly. The strips of wood that hold the back on are only pressed wood and one side was spilt open from not predrilling holes and forcing the screws to create there own holes when installed. This is a time saver at the factory but poor practice in my opinion! The front baffle that holds the speaker in place was held in with 6 bolts, nuts and washers. All were loose and if I did not retighten these the vibration from the speaker would have caused these all to come apart! So over all construction was less then stellar and about what I expected for the price. Still final quality checks should have caught all of this on the assembly line.Strat Blaster
I bought this to go with a Tone King Gremlin head. I figured a fender speaker would pair well with a fender clone amp. The enclosure is quite nice. The speaker however is not. I did read the poor reviews the celestion 70/80 gets online, they are spot on. This speaker is so shrill I felt like my ears were going to bleed. It has a pronounced mid scoop. Instead of returning I decided I like the fender box enough ( and the reasonable price compared to others ) and bought a different speaker. After swapping the 70/80 with a Eminence Cannabis rex, it really sounds great.Josh B

Just got this cab on a trade and it sounds really good with both my Peavey, as well as the ZT lunchbox, serving as head amps respectively. The enclosure is probably not made out of the finest wood but it feels sturdy and it is fairly heavy for its size, at about 32 lb. I really like the white tolex-looks like the EVH 112 and with the same dimensions( although the EVH will cost you three times more). I might try to match other speakers with this cab in the future, but for now I am happy with the stock one.swingordie
5. Egnater Tweaker 112x Guitar Speaker Cabinet, Black/beige
Product Details:
This quality speaker enclosure doesn't just match the look of your tweaker amp, it also sounds amazing. even if you're looking for a great extension cabinet to go with another guitar amplifier head, it is a great choice. its partially open back gives you the tight focus you'd expect from a ported speaker, but with a phenomenal low end. void free birch-ply construction makes this extremely durable, but the real kicker is the 12" celestion elite gh50 speaker, which is perfectly well-suited for any tube amp head. handles up to 50 watts. dimension: 1" x 12".

Reviews:
I was pairing my Tweaker with a 2×10 Panama Guitar cab and could never get tone I liked. Very dark sounding. 10 band EQ pedal helped some but was still not happy. Received my Egnater 112x yesterday and I was immediately impressed with the Very noticable difference in what I was hearing. Clear and articulate and a tighter responsive bass. Much better control over sculpting my sound. I know with proper break-in period that it will improve even more. I am Very pleased with this cabscrumm21
I recently down sized my equipment to the Rebel 1/12 extension cabinet which I now own two of.I was using the 4/12 Egnater Tourmaster that sounds awesome but is very heavy. I play in a three piece band and we play a verity of music from country to heavy metal. These cabinets sound amazing for any club gig you want to play. I did keep my 4/12 cabinet incase we play a bigger venue. Egnater speaker cabinets are awesome, however, I cant say the same for their amps. They sound great but are very unreliable as they break down when you need them most.D. Blackburn
I'm not a writer in any way, but since there was no review on it I thought I would try to give some sort of direction for people looking. Overall: This is kindof your do it all amp, blues like crazy, overdriven rock does just that. The Reverb on this is really to die for. The only possible complaint is it IS so much amp. It's potentially eardrum blowing. If you really want to get into the best Overdriven state I've ever heard out of tubes, I suggest not living in an apartment or near neighbors with infants. The blues I can pull out of this is more than I've heard out of any fender in years. I've been amazingly happy with this in every aspect. I quite often use alot of pedals depending on my mood. When the rock influence is on I run clean channel with a DimeWah & Distortion among other things. Performs amazingly. When I'm running on the bridge with the Les, I don't get alot of bottom end. Seems to be nice for leads. Anything in rhythm is full bodied, highs and lows just sing out. Negatives: 18w/65w switch really doesn't seem to do what I feel like its for which is bringing down the power. When I first bought it I was hoping that this switch would give me that 100w rhythm and the 50w volume 9-10 overdrive sound which isn't the case, you get the 100w overdrive. Positive: For the one negative there is 10x positive. I'm sure I don't really touch this things total potential. I certainly wanted to get something I would never replace nor need to upgrade, which I'm positive I've gotten. Only things I've seen around Four to Five thousand have this many switches, and knobs. Speakers are the Best, Amp is amazing, Craftsmenship is all there and how I would want to make it if I was selling this myself. Might be more than your wanting if you can't take the volume for your playstyle, Blues are great even @ low volume. It's when you get into the overdrive even though it sounds amazing around 5-6, the legendary 8-10 overdrive your after is loud.

Reviews:
Sound: I’m very happy with the sound quality. It may not sound identical to the original speakers modeled but honestly I don’t have that good of an ear to know the difference. I do know my high gain and crunch patches with the Vintage or Green sound just like I want, and for clean-ish tones the Essex with a Vox amp does the job quite nicely. Whether it has the mythical “amp in the room” sound or not is going to be up to each user’s own ears. I will say it sounds more organic and amp-like than any FRFR I’ve used and leave it at that. Features: This has so many features it’s hard to list what I find most useful. Physical features like being fairly lightweight and having tiltback legs are certainly helpful to an old guy like me. The tiltback seems extreme but it works well and I don’t feel the need for an amp stand. MIDI or L6 link to remotely change cabinets with each patch is great, and with the L6 link it can easily be done within each patch. I also like that the L6 link runs audio and data. Why use 2 cables when you can to it all with one? The ability to use it as a standard FRFR to run IR is another cool feature and I like that if I need to I can go direct to FOH via through the PC+ and use a separate IR to FOH and speaker modeling in the cab. Lastly, this can be used with any modeler. You can send MIDI messages via standard 5 pin MIDI cable to change speakers and IR within patches from just about any modeling product. If something ever trumps the Helix, I’ll still have a great cab to pair it with. Ease of Use: It’s incredibly easy to get good sounds. Turn the knob on the top until you get a speaker you like. The speaker modeling sounds great. I’ve dabbled with some of the IR’s and they sound great too. Some folks have complained that it doesn’t have enough volume but that’s not been the case with me. You will need to make sure the output levels on your modeler are properly set to get the most volume and avoid clipping. If you aren’t familiar with how to do this, I would suggest checking out YouTube videos by Jason Sadites or Steve Sterlacci on how to properly set patch levels. It’s super easy and mostly common sense, but something a lot of folks overlook. And don’t forget to include your solo boosts when setting levels!! Quality: By all appearances it seems very well built and sturdy and has a quality feel. I know there are people using these on the road and that also says a lot about the build quality. It’s been tossed in and out of my trunk a few times now with minimal wear and tear showing. It would be nice if it was made of birch and covered with Tolex, but that would only add to the cost and weight. As it is the box is solid. Value: At first glance $799 seems expensive for a 1×12 cab. However, when you consider what it can do that others can’t and then compare it to other 1×12 FRFR that are $1,000 and up it starts becoming a better and better value. If you don’t need MIDI or remote speaker switching, then there’s also the standard Powercab that’s a couple hundred less. Sounds the same just not as many features. Manufacturer Support: Over the years I’ve purchased quite a bit of Line6 gear and they have always provided me with great support. They have a very good user forum with plenty of knowledgeable and helpful people and Line6 also has reps in some of the larger gear forums. Line6 has a good history of product updates as well. The PC+ has already received an update with some additional features and I expect they will continue to update as needed. They seem to do a pretty good job of listening to their customers when it comes to requesting features etc. The Wow Factor: Speaker modeling, FRFR, and IR all in one cab that sounds really good. That’s pretty wow to me! I think this will appeal to players like myself who use modeling and are looking for the best sound without a lot of fussing, or just plain don’t like the sound of an FRFR as much as a normal amp and cab. Overall: I just went back to Helix after using Mesa MKV and Friedman JJ amps. The band doesn’t play a lot of gigs that require miking up the guitars or using direct FOH, so the speaker I chose had to sound great on its own and not just something to monitor myself with. The last time I went down the FRFR road it didn’t work out very well. I know it’s not the boxes it’s me, but regardless I got tired of constantly trying to find the right IR or thinking I found one that sounded good at home only to have it sound like crap at band volume yada yada. When I was researching speakers for the Helix I heard a lot of great things about the Powercab so I thought I’d give it a shot. The speaker modeling is somewhat unique, and I thought it might be the shorter path to better tone for me. It arrived 2 days after I ordered and the set up was very easy. I had already decided to use L6 link instead of XLR because I wanted to remotely control the cab via the Helix and not have to set up MIDI. Out of the box it was still on an old software version and needAllan
Everything I expected from Line 6. This Power Cab Plus 112 is blowing my mind right now. I usually never go with solid state amps. I've been playing through Fender Deluxe Reverbs, Hot Rod Deluxe' and my latest Fender Princeton Reverb. These are for sure amazing go to amps. However, to my ears, with the HELIX LT that I play through, I'm getting similar tones and even more using the built-in speaker models that come with stock with the Power Cab Plus 112. I've never had this much versatility in a rig before. I love it. I also use the genuine Line 6 L6 Link cable (witch is just a good quality AES/EBU cable) connected between my HELIX LT and the Power Cab Plus 112 so that I can change speaker models on the fly with my presets. I really can't ask for more. Simple, light weight, professional sounding tones, all at my toe tips. This is good times for sure.FELIX
I had high hopes, when I saw that Line 6 was offering powered speaker cabs, I thought wow ! Like the Tech 21 Power Engine but better !!!! Wrong… I sold my pair of Tech 21 Power Engines when I purchased a pair of these cabs… wrong move. I unpacked the Power Cabs and thought .. BEAUTIFUL !!! Sturdy, stylish… when I plugged in my HELIX…. I literally could not get a usable sound out of it, I fiddled for hours. After a few days of fiddling with new presets I was able to get a decent basic sound so I thought I was golden. I took it out for on gig doing a outdoor surf meet event… OUCH ! Fizzy, treble ridden, buzz saw city. I could not even get a decent volume from it, the tone because it was so "HIFI" was so buried in the mix I could barely hear myself. Besides the lack of volume, I could not believe the absolute atrocious tone I was getting(think BUZZSAW). This is not a good match for a helix or any floor processors or modelers. I regret getting rid of my Tech 21's they were a tad noisy but they sounded 100% better than these. I keep hearing and seeing the reviews for the Plus version, but seems odd that for something that is supposed to simply amplify the sound you get from your Helix would do such a poor job. WIth the covers and the shipping I paid mucho dinero so saying I am unhappy is an understatement. I've been told with tweaking you can get the cab to sound good, I've spent hours doing this. I don't think its possible. Avoid this… I have been using my cabs as vocal monitors, just because I would get smashed if I tried to sell them. I've used this for one gig, maybe 6 times at rehearsal, sadly they are horrible, giving it 2 stars is quite generous….Guitar Kahuna

Overall: Loaded with V30's. Which I know normally run a lot of the high end. Does seem like this pushes it pretty far though. Didn't give me exactly the sound I was going for but it was close. There's a little too much crispness for my taste but that could also be coming from my 5150 as well. All in all it's a great speaker and the vintage look is dope.Joshua

Made to go with the 20 watt plexi studio, I got it to go with my 20 watt JCM800 along with be a cab I can play through using my Boss Waza Tube Amp Expander since it needs a cab that can take at least 100 watts. Just as expected, this cab takes any tone I can throw at it and delivers it with that warm marshall tone we have grown accustomed to. Better yet, even when off, it looks great with any backdrop. Easily worth it.Zach(ie Lawless)
We bought this cab to go with our Marshall 20w Plexi head. What an amazing combination. The projection is great and the tone is just exactly that tone you want… it’s all there. Visually the head and cab look awesome together… This is the real deal… in my opinion, well worth the price of admission. I can’t imagine anyone not being happy and impressed by this combination.DMichaelJohnson

Overall: For the price of the cabinet it's not bad. The quality of the sound has a deeper tone (low end) than a regular 2×12 with high end driver. I believe this is because of the port hole. I do however, like the fact that the measurement is perfect for my Mesa Roadster. I replaced both drivers with a V-30 and made it a huge difference.Dee

I am really enjoying my Marshall cabinet In fact I have a full stack. Thank you.jador_5746
Sound: This is the best sounding Marshall cabinet out there bar none. Quality: Mine came with a one inch gash on the back side. Sending it back for a replacement. I think Marshall's QC needs improvement. The DSL head I purchased previously had the cord from the reverb tank hanging out the front. Value: It's a little pricey, but the sound is worth it. Manufacturer Support: Haven't had to use them, but I'm sure Marshall stands my their products.

Tight punchy sound Highly RecommendedNone
I currently have Friedman, Bogner, and Mesa Cabinets along with this Soldano 4×12. This is as fine as quality a cabinet as they come. Equal to or above the quality/build as any of the above mentioned cabs. This one comes with 4 Made In England Celestion Vintage-30’s and they sound sublime. Tight and punchy mids cranked w/ High Gain through a Humbucker are something that has to be heard in person to appreciate. Also, the V-30’s do react amazingly clear and articulate through single coils and clean. This is a studio quality cabinet that’s worth every penny. If you’re serious about tone, don’t wait to grab this one. Plus, one of the coolest looking logo/fonts out there. It wails
It's a great cabinet I really like itanthony2231

I have this cabinet. It has Stephens V-30s in it. NOT Greenbacks as described. Which is even better (in my opinion)..Peavey fan
I just bought one of these at a local shop. Hands down the best speaker cabinet Peavey has ever made for guitar. It really brought my amp alive! Most of Peavey's cabinets always seemed dark to me, but this is really present and has a great range. The speakers give a real 3D element to the sound, almost like you can reach through the speaker cabinet! You will love this box!Soupy
